Jumbo Flat Twist Marley Chignon On Natural Hair

I think that all of us know the versatility of Marley hair. You can do every natural style with Marley hair from twists to crochet braids, but I think that for me this the first time that I have seen Marley used in a jumbo flat twist bun/updo.

This bun is absolutely gorgeous and is a great hair style for the upcoming holidays. Below, YouTuber Coily Bella shows us how she achieves her Jumbo Flat Twist Marley Chignon.

Items Used  To Achieve This Hairstyle

Moisturizer – Coily Bella does not state what moisturizer she uses in the video, but she does mention the importance of having moisturized hair (including the Marley Hair) before doing this hairstyle. Feel free to use any moisturizer you have in your stash.

Clips – Clips are used to section the hair for easier styling. If you are not too experienced with flat twisting, this will help out a lot.

Detangling Tool – Coily Bella mentions that detangled hair is important to have for great flat twists. If you have already detangled your hair, then you can skip this step.

Marley Hair–  In the video, Coily Bella uses 1 pack of Janets Collection Marley Hair in 1b/33. Also make note that coily bella has very fine hair with a low density, so if your hair is on the denser side then you might need an extra pack of hair or two. You can also use any brand and any color of Marley hair that you prefer.

Length Needed To Achieve This Style

This style works best on hair that is long enough to add braid extensions* to. This style is created on stretched hair which you can achieve through stretching methods such as twists, braids, African threading, etc or through a combination of stretching methods.
