Wig Maintenance: How I Keep Up With My Frontal Wig Installs

Hey youtube: what's up, ladies and gents squad squad squad squad squad, welcome to my new video anyways, i'm recording this video at night time while midnight it's like 12 o'clock here in california, and i'm getting ready to go to bed. Clearly, my hair is wrapped up. You know i got ta switch into my pajamas, but before i did so, i wanted to come and record this video for you guys. This video is going to be like a wig of maintenance video. How do i keep my wigs on for so long without them? Sliding back the baby hair is getting messed up. What i do to really like secure the sleigh and isis inspired me to do this. Video all of her clients come in all the time and ask her like for tips on how to like maintain their hair. How to keep it intact, how to keep it? Looking like how it looked when they left the shop but yeah, i'm gon na show you guys a few tips and tricks of how to keep your hair intact. What i do and if my hair does get messed up, how i go about fixing it? This is really a video for my ladies, you know those who wear frontals or those who get their hair done. You know you spend hundreds of dollars a week every two weeks in your hair. Then you want it to last. It'S not even nothing like spectacular. This is probably like the basics - it's probably stuff, y'all already know, but i don't know, maybe there's like a way that i do it yeah. So this is something you want to see. You want to know be sure to stay tuned to this. To this, to the end of this whole, video, and, like always, don't forget to like comment, subscribe turn your post notifications on thumbs up this video y'all lego. So this is what my hair looks like right now. I didn't fix my hair today because i really didn't do anything so it's kind of like there's like dips in it, because i've been sleeping on it. I had it tied up with my edge band my scarf, but this is the hair that i decided to install and it just has layers, and i just really really love this look. I haven't done anything to my hair. I didn't put no products in it today and you guys can see my lace a little bit. Don'T worry about that! I'M gon na tell y'all how you fix that at the end of the video. Let'S start with the baby hairs. First, when i get my hair done, isis already uses the. I think it's like the olive oil brand gel the gel and the gel. Well, the gel that i use is the argan oil one and then there's the castro oil one. I think she's the castor oil one, but i like the argan oil one because i just feel like it holds better, so i really really recommend that yes, so she puts that on my edges. That'S what's on my edges! Right now remind you guys. I got this wig installed two days ago, so it's not really really super fresh, but it's still fresh. I use the gel and when i come home i put some extra gel on it before i lay my head band on and my scarf and what i will also put on it. Is this spritzer, this fantasia mousse, liquid mousse firm, hold spritz hairspray. You get this at like the black beauty, supply stores, or you can order this online at amazon. I think i paid like seven dollars for this, so it's really inexpensive and it smells super super good. What i would do is, i will just spray it like this. On my edges use my finger to kind of like rub it in kind of like so, and then i will take like a rat tail comb or a baby hair brush, and i use like this as a baby hair brush. I will just like go over my baby hairs y'all see like how this is like stuck in my glue. I hate that, but i'm gon na show you how to fix that too. So i'll go over it like such and when you do your baby hairs you want to. You want to have the comb first and then have your finger follow, and it's just like a swoop motion like a swoop motion and that's the same thing with this. I'M really trying to look it's kind of hard doing this in the camera and not in the mirror, because i'm trying to show y'all how i do it. So if it's off excuse me i'll fix it, but for the sake of this video i want you guys to see so then that's that baby here and then i go to this side and i'm gon na just do the same thing. I don't really like mess up my baby ears. I would say i would just kind of like go in the direction that she already went. So i just go over her work and just the whole purpose of this is just to make sure that the baby hairs do not move in your sleep because um, depending on the gel that you use, they tend to move. And what i like about this spray is, it says, firm hold, but it's really not a firm firm hold. It doesn't flake, so you know like how, after a while, you brush you keep brushing through your baby hairs, they start getting white and flaking. This doesn't do that at all, so i really highly recommend this. It'S also another spray that she uses, but it's i believe you can only like, buy it online or like where she got it from she got it from atlanta. So it's called like flex hold or something like that. Um, maybe i'll put it in the description down below if you guys are really interested in getting it. That'S like my number one but number two when i don't have that is this spray and it works so good and it smells so good. So after i fix my baby hairs or whatever i will take my stretchy band this, you could get like a. I want to say this, almost like a wig band. I call this my headband and it's just super super stretchy. I take my clip and i will kind of like since this layers i will pin up the front part. Sometimes you need two clips for this just so i keep it off my baby hairs and the hair out, because when you put this wig band on, you don't want this hair to get stuck here, because then it gets like caught up in the glue and it Starts getting messed up, and i don't really like that. I take my wig band and i stretch it out all the way stretch it out all the way you want it to be like tight. It kind of hurts my ear sometimes because i got all these piercings in so i'm like. Should i take my piercings out but whatever so i put it like this and then i just i'm looking like i got a double chin. Sorry y'all tie it in a knot, not a super tight, not because this tends to like cut off your circulation like for real, and it just seems like throughout the night. It just gets tighter. I don't know how, but it is we're. Looking like this, you know the lace is protected, so this is really good because it will like put pressure on the lace. So if your lace is lifting whatever the case may be, it kind of just like sticks it back down. You feel me make sure it's covering what i needed to cover. Sometimes it really do would be hurting my ears, all these piercings, like okay boom. Now i take, i want to call this like a silk scarf, but this is just like a head wrap thing. Somebody said this to me on instagram and i just been using it for my wigs ever since what i do is i take this right, so you know when you get your wig down your stylus hot combs, this part like, and it gives it kind of like That arch right so me i haven't, mastered how to um read like hit the arch in the morning when they get messed up with the hot comb. So to avoid all that, i just take this and i just place it like right where the arch starts and i just same thing wrap it under. But this time i'm going to tie it at the top here, and so i tie it up like such and i always want to make sure this is not on my ear because, like too much of that will put pressure on my earrings and it's going to Hurt me so like this boom and really you could go to sleep like this. But me i like my hair feeling silky in the morning, so i put on now a body and i don't like the little bonus that just be like caps, because i just feel like it. Crinkles your hair and i'll be having long inches. As you can see. Long inches, so i use this long silk bonnet, almost like a pillow case. I put it like this. I put all the hair in like this boom and this is how i sleep don't get me wrong. Sometimes my baby hairs do get messed up just because in my sleep i tend to like adjust my band unknowingly and i wake up, as my baby hairs be messed up, but just use my steps of how i swim my baby hairs in the beginning of this Video to fix your baby hair stuff - i will come on here first thing in the morning and show you guys like how i straighten my hair. What products i put in my hair to straighten to get rid of the face to get silky to fix up anything that has lifted, but this is really all that i do when i go to sleep and i just really like the silk buttons. I feel like the silk bonnets, keep your hair super super silky and another tip is when you sleep. If you sleep on your stomach, you sleep on your back. However, you sleep on your side. When you lay down, you want to make sure you lift your bonnet up and you're, not laying on your hair that really helps as well, but yeah you guys. This is all i do um for to my hair, when i have wigs to go to sleep, to wrap it to secure it. Make sure that when i wake up, it still looks brand new, like i just got out of the shop chair and so i'm about to go to bed and i'm going to come back tomorrow morning and show you guys my morning, hair routine. Whatever you want to call it all right, good night, you guys - and i will see you in the morning, so hey y'all, it is now the next morning. This is what my hair looks like not too bad right, a little poofy a little bent slipped on, but it practically looks how it looked when i wrapped it up last night yesterday. I also forgot to mention that the type of lace glue matters a lot to how long your wig lash stays intact and looks fresh. I don't use bold hood. I don't use ghost bond um, none of those glues that you can get in store. I don't use. I ordered mine and i go back and forth between three and that is erika j or goat glue. Those are my two favorite glues, i'm still trying to experiment to see which one is my favorite with me. I have really really oily skin, which tends to break down the glue over a couple of days, which used to cause my lace to lift like super super fast. Then i sweat a lot and i'm just running around and active a whole lot. I found that when, with the other glues like bold hold, didn't hold, it would hold like two days max, but those other two glues that i named the erica j and the goat glue work really really well on oily skin but yeah. So i'm about to get back to my wig maintenance steps and show you guys the baby hairs underneath. Oh, my god, my ears hurt so bad, so i just taken off you all can see my cap. The thing with this wig is somebody sent this way to me for promo, and you know i'm always going to be honest about my reviews. The wig cap is too small. I have a big head. I need like a large wig cap. First set me a medium, which is why, like my stuff, is showing in the back, but what i had isis do was just sew it down in the back and just glue it down in the front. So, as long as like my hair covers the cap and everything it's cool, if you hear my mom talking in the background she's on the phone and watching a movie right, there excuse that anyways back to the video, so i'm gon na get up close and show You guys my lace and my hair, so the baby hair is messed up a little bit right here, maybe right here, just a little but that's fixable, but otherwise they're pretty intense too. The first thing i do is, i will start working on the baby hairs. First, like i mentioned, i use that olive oil brand gel the argan oil one, not the castor oil one, but somebody stole it out of my bag when we were in la and swapped it, for this got to be glue gel. So i've been having to use this for this wig, these baby hairs, which it works. Well too, i just don't like about to be blue, because sometimes it tends to like flake up so like normally. These hairs right here would be mower meshed up when it comes to like areas right here. I will take like a little dollop of glue and i will just i won't put it right here, because you don't want them baby hairs to be stick, but you want everything to be like laid right here. So i'll take it - and i just push put some right here same thing on the other side, and then i would take my comb normally and i would just swoop it back so that so back so like this part is crunchy, it's stiff. It'S not going to go nowhere when i sleep, it's not gon na move around whatever the case may be now when it comes to the actual baby hairs. On my forehead, i go back with my fantasia spray that little part that i said was messed up. I'M just gon na please keep in mind that i'm doing this looking at the camera, so it might not be perfect, but i'm gon na look in this mirror afterwards. Okay, my baby hairs stayed intact. If you did what i did last night, your baby hair should not be when you wake up now when it comes to flat ironing getting your hair silky and just giving it that silky silky shiny finish. I'M going to show you guys the two products that i use and use only i don't use anything else. You always always always want to make sure you have a heat. Protectant, invest in this heat protectant. This heat protectant works, so so so so so good and it smells so good um, it's kind of like a oil based um heat protectant, but it's called but it's by beyond the zone and it's called turn the heat up flat. Iron protection - and it just says, helps you hair from heat damage, heat protectant spray, when you finish with your flat iron and stuff you're, going to finish it off with this spray, which is a glossary, and it's by lusters, it's called pink glosser. The reason why you? Don'T want to use so much of the glosser, and this heat protectant is because it tends to if you use too much, it may it'll make your hair heavy and it's going to start clumping together because, like i said, they're both oil. Meanwhile, while i'm letting my little hot tool that i just plugged in heat up, i am drinking this nasty shake, i'm trying to gain my weight again today i put waiting powder, bananas and milk here. It goes cheers now that my hot tool right here is heated up. I'M going to show you guys how i flat iron. I love this vid flat iron. I love all of their flyers. I really want to get the black one. That'S like big, like this wide and it's flat that one to me works the best one thing about me: if y'all don't know, i'm let y'all in on something that only my friends know. I am cheap. Okay, i'm super super cheap, not gon na spend no money on something that i don't need. If i already got something, that's working good enough for me, but yes, you want to get you this brand right here. I'M gon na show you guys this brand flat iron right here, just the best i'm going to take my heat, protect it right and i'm gon na. Let me bend down so y'all can see two sprays on each side. That'S it! Okay! I'M gon na take my rat tail comb right brush it through, so the product can evenly be distributed. Okay, so we do this, i'm not going to section the hair just because you don't really need to um. The hair is fairly short. If it was longer hair, then i would tell you to um clip up sections, but with this length hair you don't really need to i'm going to show you guys here. First, how i do it and then i'm going to turn it into this mirror and like finish it because i don't want it to look bad, so i just flat iron it how you would really um, normally flat iron, your hair. This hair has layers in me right and i want the ends kind of bumped, so i'm gon na start i'm i start from the back and i'm just gon na use the end of my right tail comb and just kind of hit the top get the cranks Out, first, okay and then towards the end, i'm gon na start bumping it and i forgot to tell you guys: i have it on 340.. So now look at this side compared to this side. Okay, so i hit this side. I fixed what i had to fix. Now i'm going to move on to this side, so i'm gon na go do this side and then i'm gon na come back and show you guys the finishing look. So this is the finishing look to my hair y'all see how silky it is without me. Even putting it the finishing product in y'all, so silky just love love this hair. Last but not least, i'm going to take my finishing glosser in literally one sprint, one spritz, okay, don't go no one! That was three, but it was three little ones which equal to one big one: okay and then i'm gon na take my hand and just rub it through rub it through y'all see how shiny it is yeah. I know don't play with that girl because she's, not one of them. If i had flyaways, i would probably take this spray or, like the ors olive oil brand, um hairspray. I would spray lightly spray some right here and just go like this so yeah. This is what my hair looks like a yard. This is what now day three after my first initial install and it still looks fresh still looks brand new and that's really itchy. That'S really how i maintain my hair. Let me know if you guys have any tricks. Let me know in the comments down below what video you want to see from me next, like i said, isis had asked me to do this video just so she could show her clients. I said why not do one and just post it on my youtube too. So you guys can see - and you guys really be interested in my hair and me getting my hair done when i did my wash day, hair routine, that video went up and i wasn't even expecting it to go up like it did, but it did like. I want to say 100k views over 100kv, maybe close to one okay. If you haven't watched it make sure you go watch it yeah. That is the end to this.
