Hey everyone, so today's tutorial is going to be how I do a frontal ponytail. This video is sponsored by unis, so thank you so much to them for sending me this hair to use and sponsoring this video first things. First, you want to wash your hair. Your ponytail is going to turn out a lot better if you are working with nice, clean hair after that, especially if you are natural, you are going to want to blow-dry your hair. I recommend using a comb attachment for this part and after both of those things you want to begin by flat ironing your hair. You want to focus mainly on the roots. Your hair is not going to be out except in the nape area, so you just want to focus on getting the roots straight. It doesn't have to be perfect. Your hair is really not going to be showing I'm not gon na show you fluttering my entire head, because you get the point you want to focus on the nape area in the back of the hair, so I'm going back over that area with a mini Flatiron. So that it gets as straight as possible and I'm getting to that kitchen area really well so now you want to place your hair in a ponytail and preparation. Forget them the back to lay down and y'all. Do not talk about my edges where my skin right now I am eight months pregnant and I am going through some things. Okay, so what I'm gon na be using is I'm going to be using gorilla, snot and I'm also going to be using pump it up for this next step. So first, I'm gon na go in with my gorilla snut and I'm just gon na. Do this section by section, because if your natural, you know your hair can wave very quickly, I have found, if you try to do it all at once, your hairs just gon na be a wavy mess, so you're going with the Gorillaz knot. First, then, you take a few sprays of the pump it up. You take a nice bristle brush and then you're going to blow it dry, so it will settle in place. So you're just gon na begin to repeat this step all around the nape of your head and on all the areas of the hair. That'S going to be showing. So that's like right above the ear and all around the back of your head, you're gon na. Do the Gorillaz not do the pump it up and then you're going to blow it dry, so it settles into place now, if your natural, like I am it's almost a guarantee that your hair is going to wave up a little bit and that's okay, you cannot Expect relaxed results with this ponytail tutorial, but you can try to finesse it to get your way to the top. So, as you can see, my hair did wave up a little bit and that's okay. I chose curly hair and specifically for this, so that it would blend okay. Now I'm going to redo my ponytail now that the back is settled in and I'm gon na prepare the front of my hair for the frontal. So this frontal is a 20 inch, Peruvian deep wave frontal. They have already customized by bleaching the nuts in plucking and I have flattened it so that it will smooth down and slick into the ponytail. Now I'm gon na place the frontal where I want it to be, and then I'm going to clip it out of place, I'm going to use got to be freeze, blast braid to lay my frontal it down. So you want to take this part piece by piece. One section at a time, so I'm gon na spray a little bit of the spray I'm going to lay my front hold down on it, get it settled in the right spot. I'M gon na take my small tooth comb and then I'm going to use my blow-dryer to let it settle into place. Now you do not have to use this method, you can use glue or whatever you like, to lay your frontals down with, but I'm over the glue over the tape and so freeze blast is the easiest thing for me and I'm going to begin cutting the lace Off as I go so, as I lay a section down with the spray, then I'm gon na go in and cut the lace off as well. So you want to apply your lace front all around your head and you just want to take your time once you've finished, applying the lace you'll need to cut the excess lace off. That is around your ear. What I do is I section off the hair to what feels and looks most natural and then I begin to cut that excess lace away. You just want to be very careful with this part, because once you cut the lace off, you cannot put it back. So I would say start with a little bit at a time, because you can always go in and cut more if you need to so our frontal is looking real crusty right now, but that is okay. You just have to trust the process, so the next step is going to be to smooth the hair up into the ponytail. So I'm gon na go back in with my Gorillaz knot. I'M gon na lay it on the hair and then I'm going to brush it up into the direction that I am going to be putting the ponytail. I take this part section by section because you've just applied the frontal. You don't want to be doing too much pulling cause too much tension and then you will get the hair on the frontal to lay more flat. If you take it section by section. So keep that in mind. So once you've got the hair brushed up and smooth down into place, you're going to go ahead and place the frontal in your hair into a ponytail, then you're going to braid your hair, and this braid is mainly just to keep the hair out of the way. We'Re not doing anything with this braid right now. Now we've got to go in and get Kristi Carla together. So I'm just gon na clean up my hairline in the excess freeze blast spray with an alcohol pad. Now I'm gon na go in and create some baby hairs to customize my hairline, so I'm gon na pull a little bit of hair out and then I'm going to take a I bra razor trim, the hair that I like and then I'm gon na lay it Down with some mousse, the mousse that I'm using is design essentials, curl enhancing mousse, so I like using this mousse because it doesn't cause any lifting of the frontal at all, and then it also has a nice good hold with the baby. Here, I'm not gon na go into too much detail about the baby here and customizing my hairline just because this is personal preference, so you just do your until how you like it to be done. Okay, so once I have my hairline the way I want it to be, I'm gon na go back into the design, essentials mousse and I'm gon na place it all over the hairline and all over the hair of the frontal to help it lay down. This is gon na help, get rid of that white overcast that you see showing on the lace, and then this is also going to help the hair of the frontal blend in better with my hair, so that there's not that line of demarcation. Then I'm going to tie it down with my scarf and kind of let it just melt into place. So you want to give the most time to settle in so I would say: leave your hair tied up for at least 30 minutes before you take it off. You don't want to interfere with that melting process and then once you remove it, as you can see, everything looks a lot better. There'S still some areas on the hairline that we need to perfect. For the most part, not only does the frontal bloom better with my hair, but the main white overcast I was on the lace is gone. Now, I'm going to go in with some powder foundation just to further blend out some areas of the frontal. So this is a true match by Lauria. I think it's in the color codes Han and I'm just going to take a little bit of foundation and Pat over the areas that either still have a little bit of the white overcast or that I feel like just aren't kind of blending. In with my skin. To kind of give it a more flawless finish, look so now that we have gotten that crest taken care of, we are going to redo the ponytail and we're also going to rebreathe the hair so that we can get ready to put the ponytail on you want Your braids to be nice and tight and not loose because the tighter the braid is the easier it's going to be for you to wrap your weft around the braid and because the hair that I'm using is long. I'M going to shorten the length of my braid. So that the hair is not too long and then I'm just gon na put a rubber band around it, so it kind of cuts my ponytail length in half. Now I'm just going to tie my hair down again just to keep it out of the way and then we're gon na get ready for this ponytail. So I am using Peruvian deep way than the inches 26 and 24 by Yunus, I'm only using two bundles, because I don't want my ponytail to be too heavy. So I have my tracks: doubled up and I'm gon na stick the end of the tracks through a piece of my braid. This is just the way I like to do it. I'Ve seen some people do it with a bobby pin, but this is just better for me and then I'm going to slowly begin wrapping the tracks around the braid. You want to take your time with this. You want to make sure you are wrapping the hair tight, because you do not want your ponytail unraveling, because that would be no good. Then, when you get about halfway through, I like to secure it with a bobby pin and then I continue wrapping around. So I get to the end of the weft and then I'll go ahead and secure the end with a bobby pin as well. Now I'm going to take my next bundle and do the exact same thing, so I'm just going to continue wrapping around the braid make sure I'm wrapping tightly and make sure I am securing along the way with bobby pins all right. The end is near so now. You'Re gon na take a small piece of your ponytail and you're gon na wrap it around where your ponytail holder is showing, and this just helps it look more natural and just more beautiful, and then that is pretty much it. So I decided to add some gold string to my ponytail to give it a little bit of individuality, but of course that's personal preference and now the last thing to do is just untie your hair and to just enjoy your work. I have not done this style. Many times so I'm very pleased with how it turned out. I still do see some little imperfections that I would love to get better at, but of course, y'all are not gon na be like me, you're gon na be better than me, but for the most part I think this frontal ponytail turned out. Well, I was able to put it up in a high bun and it just was gorgeous. So thank you so much for watching. I will put all the information about this hair below. If you have any questions that I didn't go into detail with in the video, then just leave them below and until next time,
