Hello welcome back to my channel everyone, it's your girl, cassandra olivia and i'm back with yet another hair tutorial. So in today's video i'm going to be showing you guys, some micro loop, extensions that were sent to me by a company called eon, hair and without further ado, we're going to get straight into this video. But if you have not already, please make sure that you hit that subscribe button. You, like you, comment down below and also follow me on. Instagram underscore cassandra olivia, so eon, hair sent me some micro, loop, kinky straight hair extensions and the length 18 inches, and it's also in a natural color. They sent me three bundles, but i end up using only two for this client because, like me, she has a similar texture and her head is not that big, but definitely gauge it based off your client and um disclaimer. I want to let you guys know that this is only the second time that i've ever done these installs um. I did the first time ever on my sister, which i posted a couple months back. You guys can find that on my channel, but this is my second time so i post different models and um. This lovely lady was generous enough to come in on her day off and my day off to come in and let me install these and she was super amazing. So shout out to you girl, i really do appreciate you letting me shoot your video, especially because she lives about an hour and 35 minutes away from the salon suite. So i thought that was super amazing. So the first thing i did was shampoo. Her hair. I made sure to treat her and deep condition her at the bowl and then i'm just going in right now and making sure to cut off any dead ends. She told me that it has been a couple years since she had her ends trimmed. So i just wanted to make sure that i went in and took off all of the damaged ends as much as possible. So that way this install can blend a lot better. I will say that her hair is a little bit lighter than the natural color that we have. I want to say that the natural hair color is about a 1b and her hair is about a 2 4 um just to let you guys know for future reference, but we did definitely finesse it. All i had to do was put in some curling wax in her hair or a little bit of pomade, and that way it'll make the hair look a little bit darker. So that way we can blend so once she was blow-dried and i did like a rough trim on her ends. I did go ahead and start parting. The sections that i wanted out for her leave out when you guys do micro loops. You just want to make sure that you're leaving out enough hair so that way, when you pull it up, where it will also blend, because my client had a little bit thinner hair around her hairline. I just want to make sure i left out a little bit more and then i part the hair and i hold my comb underneath of the part and if i can see that rat tail comb, that silver piece through the hair, i know that i need to Leave out more so that's how i went in so i did the perimeter, which is these braids, that you see here and then she did tell me that she wanted to wear a middle part when she wears it down. So i just went inside and parted out. Her middle part, until it was perfect, i'm leaving out just enough hair to make sure that when i press it out, it will blend um when you're working with the client clients to have either thinner, hair or fine hair. You want to make sure that you leave out a little bit more than usual just because when it's blow dried it will blend perfectly. But when you press it out, the hair does tend to get thinner and less dense. So i wanted to make sure i left out plenty of hair so that way, when i pressed her hair out, it was not super thin. You could not see through the extensions so for the fun part. Now i'm going in i'm going to i'm going to part super small sections just doing like diagonal back sections, making sure that i'm going in and parting out as much as i need to put the micro loops. So i'm using about, i don't even know the measurements, but i'm using a very, very tiny section. Micro looping, the hair through it, has like a beader and i'm just pulling the hair through the beader. And then i'm going in with my pliers and just squeezing my hair, making sure that it is on there. But i'm not being too tight with the pliers or too tense or applying too much pressure. Because you want to make sure that when you are applying the hair down it is staying in, but it's not going to damage your client's hair. Okay, so you just have to get a feel for it. But i promise you it's not that hard. I like micro loops just because you can literally loop the hair through, and it reminds me of a hair store style, beader um, so you just pull the hair through and then once the hairs for the loop, you just go in and clamp it down and then She'S going to come back in about three to four weeks, so i would definitely make sure that i record a removal video, but it's super super easy to take down, takes no time at all so um prior to this, because it was her first visit um. While she was getting shampooed, i asked her like where she likes to wear her part how she wears her hair. She told me that she has a um, her own business, her own company she's, a cleaning lady. So with that being said, she wears her hair. Typically up in a bun, so i just want to make sure that i communicate that with my client and make sure that how she's going to wear at work versus at home will work for her lifestyle. And that's just something i do with all of my clients. But she's mostly going to wear her hair up and she doesn't want her hair out too often. So i just want to make sure that this style is going to give her everything she needed if she could have to pull it up in a bun before work. It will look cute and if she wants to wear it down, it will also look decent as well without her worrying about trying to blend the extensions. So these are just the first two rules, i'm showing you guys, i'm not the most like perfect at these. I figure like less, is more, don't overthink it. I have seen a couple tutorials where people will take jam or some type of edge controller, hair gel. It'S like the part. That'S right at the scalp before you clamp the hair to make it extra clean. But my thought process was: i want to use as least amount of product as possible, so i don't want to go in with too many oils and serums in edge controls, because if she presses it, i don't want to cause damage. So in this instance i thought less was more and then i will use the heat protectant when i press the hair out. So this video is pretty much self-explanatory. So what i'm going to do is just let this play through and then i will drop everything down below. I will make sure to drop, eon, hairs, links below for their products and their hair, and i also make sure to link everything on my amazon store and also in my description. So that way you guys will know what i'm using to blend this hair out. I am a leaf and flower ambassador, so i'm using their products to shampoo. All i did was use the eon, hair products and, of course, my heat protectant and then my s3 spray prior to me, pressing the hair out just to make sure that the hair is extra protected. So i do add a heat protectant before i blow dry and then also before i press. This is how i ensure that i do not damage my client's hair, so i just want to give you guys a little bit of background. So overall, this install did take me about an hour and 30 minutes to install from start to finish. She came in around nine and we were done by around one o'clock, so that included the shampoo. The blow dry me pressing her hair out and putting it in a bun. So i would personally, if i had to do this, do this on normal clients. If i offered this service um because it took me three hours for her and her hair is not that thick, i would probably block out at least four to five hours. If i was doing this on somebody i didn't know so that way, i can make sure i have enough time to clean sanitize install the hair curl. It won't curl it in case they're late. I try to factor in more time than i need just in case. Something happens: i'm not over booking myself or rushing okay. That'S just my thought process behind that and i will be dropping more educational videos soon so be on the lookout. So i just went ahead and just took out her braids that were her leave out and i pulled it up in the natural state. So this is before we pressed it out blow dry, only just took out the braids and, as you can see, the texture is matching perfectly. I got up close, i spun around. So that way, you guys can see how it blends and then i'm going to go in now with my s3 spray and i'm going to go in with my custom flat irons, which are currently sold out. Sorry, if you missed out, but they will be coming shortly in a couple months - i'm just pressing this out and, as you can see like, i feel like i did a good job for my second time and i'm definitely making sure everything is well blended. Her hair was a little bit short on the front and of course it was a shade lighter, so we had a little bit difficulty blending it with that. But all i did was go in with a little bit of pomade and make sure to blend the hair and then once we pulled it up, it started looking way better. So i'm just going to show you how it looks once it's pressed out and i'm going to put in a ponytail, i will say that the only thing is, if you're doing a client that has shorter hair or finer hair. If the extensions are very long, you will have a piece of hair that sticks up at the top, which i'm going to show you here, but how i camouflaged that was. I just put her hair in a bun, but if you have a client, that's probably adamant about wearing the hair in a ponytail, make sure that you use some type of pomade or some type of like controlled. What is it called hair spray? So that way, the hair does not stick up at the top, because that's literally a pet peeve of mine, when you see a client's like mark of where their hair is versus the extensions. So then we took her outside when she was done. I didn't put anything on her edges because they're super fine and very delicate. I didn't want to do too much, so i just spun her around. This is the end result. Thank you guys so much for watching, and i will see you in my next video bye.
