How To: Dye Hair Red Using L'Oreal Hicolor *No Bleach* | Ft. Arabella Hair

Giving very much jean from x-men giving very much rihanna in her red hair, hey guys, so we're going to jump right into the video. So this is the box style that i used. I used three boxes in the color magenta. I poured all three in that container and then i used 30 volume developer to mix in with this. This will be the first dyeing process, because i did do two in this video but yeah. I did not use any measurements. I literally just eyed it, and i was just pouring a little bit of developer in and mixing it to see the consistency if it was still too thick. I put a little bit more developer in and so on and so forth. So yeah, if you want to do precise measurements, you use one part: die two-part, um, developer, uh, so yeah. So that's a consistency. I got it too. I honestly could have put more developer in um, because i did end up running out of die for this first process. So yeah i did not do anything. Articulate didn't do anything how you're supposed to i'm not a cosmetologist guys. I literally don't have time to be sitting up here, doing every little small section of hair. So that's why you see me just going ham and with that dye, like i literally just you know, started putting it all over it and then using the gloves. You know i mean not the gloves using my hands to you know really get that dye in now. Actually i not actually, i honestly put a lot of dye on this section now that i'm looking at it um but yeah. I just wanted to make sure it was saturated, even though i ran out of dye for this process. Um it's okay, because i fixed it towards the end um, so yeah um, i'm just gon na it's really simple and straightforward. If you want to get a more, even look, a more even color, then by all means do your sections. But honestly, i do not have time to do that. If you know anything about dying hair, you know that it is time consuming. If you want to do it right, so yeah um, you see i'm like no sections, no, no, nothing just vibes just vibes, guys uh, so yeah, i'm gon na chime back in when the dye is rinsed out yeah. So around this part, i started realizing that i was not going to have enough dye to completely saturate the hair um, as it should be. So i literally just started you know, making it work and just focusing the rest of the dye on top of the hair. Since it was going to be in the front, so i really focus on the closure and then i let it sit for an hour. So this is what the hair looked like right after i got done, washing it and then um. I did bleach the knots before. I dyed it and if you do that, just be prepared for your knots, uh, not the knots but the roots to be a bit brighter than the rest of the hair as you saw, but this is how the hair looks after i let it air dry overnight. I mean the color is still you know there, it was just darker and i really didn't want it. So i went back to the beauty supply and i got three more boxes, but this time i got one in red and then i got two more magenta. I mixed it all together and then i used 40 volume developer this time instead of 30. um there's like yeah. This is a lot going on. I wouldn't even say this. This is a tutorial. It'S just like i'm letting you guys watch me experiment, because i was really just like going with the flow. I really didn't have a set look of how i wanted this book to turn out. I just didn't really like how the first color turned out. So i was like i might as well just go brighter, so yeah um, and this time i made this consistency a little bit more looser than i did the first time. So i poured a lot more developer in um. Just so i can stretch out the color throughout the hair, so yeah i'll i'll show you guys what the consistency was looking like, um right now so yeah. So i wanted to give you guys another look of how the hair turned out just in case you wanted to achieve this type of color. Then you could just follow the same exact steps that i did for the first dyeing process, but yeah. I wanted to um recolor it because the ends were darker than the top um, so yeah and i just wasn't really feeling this color in the moment. Um. So again, i'm going ham with the die, i'm not doing any sections um and you think i will learn. You know the second time to just do sections and just take the time to do it. But no, i was tired. I was doing this at night and honestly, i felt like it was going to turn out fine, since i was coloring it again, and i did also know that since i was coloring it again and that the wig was already different, you know shades of red and And like dark brown um that after i rinse this dye out, it's going to be like more dimensions in the hair like possible, highlights and stuff, and i always like that in colored hair, because i just feel like it gives it more life. So, yes, i just i'm literally repeating the same process that i did the first time, i'm just really focusing this die more on the darker parts, um and then on the ends. So it can match the top of the closure, because that part did lift brighter than the rest of the hair. So, as you see, i got this hair completely saturated um and yeah. It just worked out all in the end and i was going to make it work um, because i was not going back to the beauty supply to get more dye. But then i did end up putting foil on the ends of the hair, just because it was darker - and i just put foil on it, just to be sure that it gets lighter faster and then i left it in for an hour. And then i rinsed it out with some dawn soap. Yes, some dawn do soap. I washed it out with that, and then i used some garnier conditioner, um and yeah. This is what the hair was. Looking like um always take note that when you dye hair, the color is going to look darker right after you rinse it when it's wet wait till it gets dry and then that'll be the true color of the hair. So, as you see it's so much more brighter, i let it air dry overnight. The hair is still moving flowing, as you see no tangles, and the color is like way more even than it was in the beginning, and the ends are matching the rest of the hair. As you can see so yeah, it all works out in the end guys. This is a 4x4 closure wig from arabella hair. The lace did not get stained at all um, so yeah guys. This is how the hair turned out. You know. I love me some layers, like i love layers y'all, should i already know i was gon na cut layers, even though they're kind of not even i'm not the best at layers, but they like, i just love them.
