I Spent $1,000+ On A Wig?!!!! | Milano Ponytail Wig Review

Hey y'all, so I know this is a little bit different from the videos. I typically feel my typically do like yoga or um try on hauls, but this is kind of a part of my new hair Journey um. For a lot of you that don't know I did suffer like massive hair loss from a double process. I used to have relaxed hair and then I try to be cool and get my hair permanently uh dyed and when that happened, uh my hair just started falling out and clumps. So I'm officially now on my natural hair journey. I did my big chop a couple of months ago and I am like bald, not ball ball but, like I don't even think I have two inches of hair and for me I know a lot of people. They have a lot of opinions on wigs, especially, I feel like as a black woman. We do get a lot more persecution for wearing wigs, but for me I see it as a moment of empowerment and having fun and self-expression uh. Of course, I don't think it's something that's political, but I just think that it's something that is just really fun and it does boost my confidence because growing up, I always had hair like I never was bald or like had very short hair. So, for me, this really gives me a boost of confidence um, I'm not a person that grew up with a whole lot of confidence. So for me to be able to get a wig like this, it is a blessing, and I just want to thank everyone that has supported me in order to just get this wig. So, as the title has said, yes, I did spend a thousand dollars on this. Wig from Milano, wigs and honestly, it is very much worth it because when I usually get sew-ins, I end up spending about the same price because for for weave in general, it's it's very expensive. If you want good quality weave, I would spend like 600 on the weave and then probably had to spin between like getting to the appointment and the appointment would be like 300. Then, if you include tip and stuff it will go to a thousand dollars and usually with the kind of abrasiveness of the um lace, the threading and the actual hair itself. Like being on my actual scalp, I ended up having to always just take it out because it would just be so itchy I have. I can get a very itchy scalp and What I Love About Wigs is that since I wear a Milano lace, wig cap um, I don't have to have that sensory issue and irritation um from the weave and the threading and all of that and the wefting. So, for me this is a no-brainer wait. It is just so it is so freaking cute. For me, I love a low density wig and this is exactly what it is uh. So let me just get into the specs of everything and the whole niche of how I got into this, and I really want to make this a video. I know this isn't like the core group of people that want to watch it. That'S subscribe to my channel, but really this is for any black woman that is dealing with hair loss or just wants a new wig and they are interested in Milano wigs, but they haven't really seen a lot of YouTube videos um of someone that looks similar to Them trying the wigs, so, let's just jump right into it. I gave like a whole dissertation, but um, let's just actually get right into the specs of this. So this is the Milano silk top 22 inch ponytail wig, and I really wanted to get the ponytail away because no no shade one is cheaper than they're, like Divine and other collections, but two um you can actually put in a ponytail I'll show that in a Second um, but I just want to talk more about the wig, so it is a silk top wig and I got it made as a custom, color and the way colorist that did it, who I love. It is from the hair, stylist um Laura. She did this color, so all I did was made a virtual consultation and um, I told the stylist it was. I don't think it was Laura, but it was someone else. It doesn't really matter. I told him like. I want a dark brown wig with a um Balayage and money pieces um and from doing the virtual consultation to actually getting the wig it took about only a week, and for me that is amazing, because a lot of times, if you ever order custom things, it Can take a while, I was expecting to wait like a month or two or more for this, but it came very, very, very fast and I am in love with it. So I asked for the 22 inch silk talk: silk top ponytail way with a dark brown. Balayage with money pieces and then on top of that, I asked for an off-center left part because me when I wore my relaxed hair, I always did an off-center left part. I love the left part because I get a lot of hyperpigmentation on this side of my face because you know if I'm in the car, the sun is usually beaming on this side. So I like to have a little bit of hair to cover this side of my um face, and I just love it all center part, because that girl, I got a big forehead, so middle parts are just not my face, so I just knew. I wanted a left side, um I'll stand apart, and I love that they do off-center, because I'm not much of a deep side, part girl. You know I like a little off-center so um on top of it being a silk top. I love that it is silk top. So one thing that I will say: if you are someone of my complexion or darker, you will need to get like a cream foundation. I just have this really cheap one. Look I'm gon na be like the YouTube gurus. I just got this really cheap one on Amazon. You can get it at your local Supply and it's the Ruby kisses cream foundation, and I think I have this: it's either a nine or a six, and all I did when I got it. I just um got a little a little very little small foundation brush and I just put it on all the spots of the silk top um and then I kind of used this little brush to just kind of blend in the foundation so that it wouldn't just Like sit on top of it, but here's a close-up of the silk top um, it's not bad! I I think, for you know I like it more than a regular lace, but as you can see, there is lace right here, so it goes: silk! Top silk! Top silk top and then lace um, and it took me a little minute to put all the foundation on the silk top part, but it was definitely worth it because I love the silk top. If you saw besides, like the lace part, you do not see the actual visible knots, it looks very similar to a scalp and uh. That'S what I love. So I did request you can request if you do like a custom and I think even on the website, you can request when you get your wig. If you want it air dried blow, dried straight or Beach, wand, curls, or something like that. So I asked for the beach wave curls and I am so glad that I did because literally every time that I usually get wigs, I always will be like um spending hours styling the wig, because I will wash it because for me, a lot of wigs that I buy they kind of have like that greasy residue kind of look when you get it. This did not have that at all. Like I feel like I, I literally had to do nothing. I think I just had to move some of the baby hairs that were kind of like scattered and with some uh caracare wax stick and then I just like lightly. Just um moved some of the hairs that were sticking out and, like I very very, very lightly, used a hot comb, not even on this, because this is how it came. This is literally how it came um and I'm just blown away um. You know back in the day I used to want to be like a very high density, wig or well. Back in the day when I was in high school and stuff, we didn't wear wigs. We usually wore traditional sew-ins, so I liked my hair to be very dense like, but as I'm getting older, when you get more grown, you realize that low density, wigs like this are very much natural and this texture it's very smooth. It'S not full of a lot of flyaways because a lot of times when I get other wigs, they have a lot of short hairs. This it does have like pre-cut layers, but I feel like these pre-cut layers are just really gorgeous and they just help frame the face, and I just love that it's low density, because when I go like this, it just reminds me of real hair. So for my last thing for anyone that's curious, I just want to show how it looks in a ponytail, so I just kind of want to put some hairs out so put some of the face framing hairs out, I'm not good at this. Okay, I haven't done a ponytail in years because if you remember, I had a bob so and one thing I like about the back I'll talk about the bag. Okay, let us see how this looks. I'M looking in the camera, don't judge me, so this is how it looks if I would probably kind of move this a little bit. Digital layers is kind of like, but it's very pretty. This is kind of how I would wear the wig anyways, but this is here's the front of the ponytail and then here is the side of it and then here's the back of it. What I like is that the back of the nape of this ponytail Wave It's kind of constructed to lay flat because a lot of other wigs they would have rolls like this, but not really with this. And since my I guess my beanie bees are are somewhat not, I don't know if it's very noticeable, but you guys, let me know how does it look fast? Okay, let me get up and then you know you could just unravel it, and you see you just see: okay, I'm just using a regular comb. It just Glides and I've brushed this. I think I've worn this for at least maybe two a week or so, and it's still very soft um it the shedding, is very minimal. It'S not bad at all um, I think it'll be fine, but I just I just love this wig and I do plan on getting a few more because I want a brown one that doesn't have blonde Balayage in it, and then I want a just a regular Black one, so it can match my bdbs and my edges a bit more, but, as you can see, it's a very soft and ugh it's like butter, so I hope you guys enjoyed and for any of the ladies and maybe even men.
