What'S up blooms welcome back to my channel in today's video I'm going to be chatting about my new protective style y'all. I am getting out of my comfort zone and trying something new. Besides not less box braids, but not this bird type. It might go to protective style for a long time now, so I wanted to try something different and I got a closure sewing. I'Ve done sew-ins in the past, but never with the closure. Usually, I will have a little bit of leave out or just completely do like a quick weave or something like that. So in this video I'm just going to show y'all how I take care of my sew-in throughout the week. Just to give you all something different, especially if you have been wanting to step outside of your comfort zone as well, and try something outside of box braids go ahead and stay tuned to hear a little bit more about this hair and how I'm planning to wear It throughout the week so today is Monday. I got my hair done on Saturday and I'm still getting used to this like this is a lot. This is a lot of hair and I'm still trying to figure out. If I like this style on me, this color is very, very dark. Compared to my natural hair, I have more of a dark brown color to my hair, and this is like jet black, so I'm still trying to get used to that. This is the hair that I use. I got this at my local beauty supply store. This is from outre. This is my Tresses Gold Label 100 unprocessed human hair. So this came with three bundles and a closure, a four by four closure. I have 18 20 and 22. I actually ended up just using 20 and 22 and have a little bit of the 18 left. This is the 18 inch here I didn't get to use it. I also have some on the side and water, because I wanted to show y'all and also I wanted to see myself what it looks like wet because it's wet and wavy I wanted to show y'all both options. This is going to be a different week in my hair video, so I kind of wanted to do this, video for myself and also for anyone out there. That'S interested in trying out the hair that I have, or just kind of get a sense of what a closure sew-in is like and how you can rock it throughout the week. So right now I just have a side part and the way my stylist installed the closure. I can do a middle part or a side part. I naturally prefer a side part on me, but I think throughout the week I'll switch it up just to see what I like, and I also can wash this hair. So let me know if that's something you'd be interested in, seeing how I wash my sew in how I take care of it and also the maintenance of it all, but yeah y'all. So far so good. It was really weird to get a sew in just because, like I said, my default are not less braids, but I also just wanted to like do something new. I really am interested to see if this could be my new thing. I love my natural hair, but I also don't want to deal with it all the time and yeah I've been trying to figure out what it is that I want to do. I'Ve been wanting something new and just trying to figure out what my next style could be. I really have been wanting a bob, so that's something else that I've been playing around with and it depending on how much I like the closure, I can see getting like a closure, Bob wig or something next time, just to try to see. If I really really like that style on me, but comment down below, if you've had a closure sewn before or a closure wig any kind of suggestions you may have for a place that I can look for a really really good closure weight, because if this could Be something that I can do from now on or from time to time and just like switch it up. I am here for it. This is something I wanted to get so that I can just get up and go in the morning, but you still have to do some work to it, especially when you put it away at night, and you know just want to make sure that it looks good In the morning, something else that I have been doing is making sure to add some Foundation or a little bit of makeup to my part, just to make it look a little bit more realistic. So here I've been using my Contour palette and I've been using this right here in the middle and I add a little bit to my part just to make it look a little bit more realistic. But don't look too close because I didn't bleach the knots um when I got the closure. I literally just went to the beauty supply store and then I went to my stylist and I got my hair done like I didn't, do anything extra to it, but yeah the more I look into enclosures or even like getting a closure wig or next time. If I get a sew in maybe I'll bleach the knots because maybe they'll make it look better, I don't know y'all like this is super new to me, but it's also really exciting. I'M still trying to get used to it like I'm, not I'm not used to it. 100. Okay, but yeah. I'M gon na show you guys what the hair looks like when it's wet again. This is from outre. This is the my Tresses Gold Label wet and wavy and 18 20 22 with a 4x4 closure. I hope you guys stay tuned to see how I style this hair throughout the week and if you have any tips or suggestions for maintaining a sew-in. Let me know down below right now: I'm just going to put my hair away for the night. I'M gon na put it in a bun all right. So now I'm gon na put on my scarf and Bonnet and check in with y'all. In the morning foreign foreign good morning, foreign good morning, y'all, so today is day two I just showed y'all how I took care of my sew in today I decided to do a middle part just to switch it up. All I did was straighten the hair. I didn't add any curls today. I am really liking this middle part, especially when I am able to have the hair laid down super flat, so I showed y'all that I went in with my flat iron and then lastly, I used this curling iron, but not really. I mostly use the outer parts of it to lay down the tops here, something else that I've been doing in addition to using the curling iron is going in with this boar bristle brush. I just noticed that when I use the brush on the part that there's not as many flyaways that's what I've been doing and for day two. I just wanted to keep it simple and just tucked away like that. I think this looks really cute. I'M still getting used to it y'all, but I think it's looking good on me, especially if I get it to look as natural as possible. I showed you that I added a bit of makeup to the part just to make it look even more realistic, um yeah. So so far, so good with day two, let me know what you guys think of this middle part. Do you guys, like the middle part on me, or did you like the side, part I'll check in with y'all later on or tomorrow for day three good morning? Y'All, so today is day three: it snowed last night and I'm also running late. I'M just going to put my hair back into a ponytail, not going to add any heat to it. Just because, like I said, I'm running late, it snowed last night. So I don't want to do anything too extra today, so luckily brushing it out. It still looks good. I don't need to add any heat, so yeah, I'm just gon na put it into a ponytail, but first I noticed that I didn't add. I wanted to add a little bit more of my powder to the front uh a little bit better. I was looking at it yesterday and I was like oh, I should have added some more powder to the very, very, very, very front, so I did that so yeah. I could just leave it like this. I wear glasses and I don't like hair in my face. All the time, so how about this? Let'S see, let me put it away. This is all I'm going to do for today, I'm going to pop on my glasses and then head out, but yeah. Let me know what y'all think for day three, a simple ponytail with a little. I don't know something here. I'M definitely feeling much more comfortable with this sew in the first couple of days or actually, the first day that I got this sew in it was a little uncomfortable, so The Stylist she not only did the sew-in, but she added like a band around the perimeter Of my hair to hold down the closure - and it was a little bit too snug for my liking, so the first day it was a it was uncomfortable and since I've been doing my hair for a while. Now myself, like, I, don't add a lot of tension to my hair, so when she was sewing the sew in y'all, it was a little uncomfortable, but now a couple of days later it feels much better. So that's another reason why I'm thinking of maybe getting a closure wig as part of my new protective style um routine or something because then I could take it off. Uh, take care of my scalp and all that I'm still planning on possibly washing my hair. With this just to see how it is, if I like it but yeah, I really want to get a really nice closure wig or get a wig made for me. So that's something I'm thinking about for next time, especially if I can just get my hair braided down and I can pop the wig on and off myself. That'S fine, I'm just gon na go ahead and run off to work and then I'll check in with y'all. Later, thank you, foreign breaking and breaking breaking. I just added water to my hair, I'm debating. If I want to add any product to it right now, or do I just leave it to dry by itself? I did have some mousse on hand that I was thinking of using just to kind of do like a wash and go, but this is definitely going to be a true wash and go if I leave the hair by itself. So my hair is soaking wet right. Now, I'm actually on my way out to work so at the end of the day, I'll come back and show y'all what the hair looks like when it's all dry today's day, four and I kind of wanted to switch it up during the week to see what The hair is giving when it's curly and wet and yeah so far, I'm liking it and, like I said I'll, come back later to show y'all how it dried up. I think I'm going to skip the mousse for today. If I'm feeling it I'll, add the mousse tomorrow, just to show y'all what it looked like with and without product, but this is wild to be able to go from straight to curly. With this sew-in. I really like that option, especially if I'm able to get some water on my scalp and not have to worry about. You know, messing up the style or anything like that, because I can always go back and straighten it. So yeah I'm gon na go ahead and get dressed and get ready for work and then later on today, I'll come back and show y'all what the hair looks like all right y'all. So it's the end of day four. I wanted to come in and show y'all what my hair looks like all dry. I didn't add any product to my hair, as you guys saw earlier. I just sprayed it with warm water, and this is what we're working with. I noticed that some of the curls look a little bit different in the areas where I use this brush. That'S something I wanted to play around with next time. When I do like a full wash and go, I wanted to use the brush on my entire head. Just to see how everything would look, I want to know what you guys think of the hair when it is wavy or curly, which you get this type of hair yourself, just to have a little bit more more flexibility or versatility. I am really liking this sew-in, especially having the option to wet it, and I can get to my scalp when the hair is not straight. I can add water to my scalp and actually get in there, and I really really like that. So right now I'm just going to put my hair away for the night, I'm going to put it in the Bonnet like that. Let me know what y'all think of day four hair and I'll check in with y'all in the morning foreign foreign foreign good morning, y'all. So today is day five in a week and my closure sew in, I just showed y'all how I refresh my hair. I used warm water and I went in with the mousse just to see what the hair looks like with product added to it. I also oiled my scalp a little bit, so this is what the hair is looking like and once it's all dry later on I'll come back and show y'all. I did go ahead and use the brush throughout the hair just to see if it really makes a big difference. Yesterday I told you that I used it in some parts of my hair, but not they were out, but today I kind of just wanted to use it all over just to see what the hair would look like overall, while using the brush for day five. I'M really liking the versatility that I've been getting with this sew in, like I don't know, y'all, this might be my new go-to style in terms of the kind of hair that I like to get as of now. I just really like the fact that I can add water to it and also take care of my hair right underneath and I think for the next couple of days. I might just wear it like this and then I'll go ahead and do a whole wash day and probably straighten the hair again, but I'm trying to decide if I want to go another week with it curly or do I want to go back to the straight Hair, so yesterday I did no product. Today I did products, so I kind of want to give you guys a comparison of both just in case. If you want to see how the hair does with and without product, but I'm gon na go ahead and head out to work and I'll check in with y'all later hey y'all. So it's the end of the day. I wanted to come on and show you guys how my hair dried throughout the day. So this is the result of the wash and go that I did earlier using the shea moisture mousse y'all look at the volume I actually ended up finger detangling, my hair. A little bit after it dried just because the curls they looked okay, but but I was kind of wanting to see if I could get more volume. All I ended up doing was just raking my hands through the hair, after it dried just to get it to be more big and voluminous. This is the end of day five. Let me turn around, so you guys can see. Let me know what y'all think of day five, how the hair, dried and everything and if you would try a wash and go on this sewing yourself, but yeah. I'M just gon na put my hair in the Bonnet just the way I showed y'all last night and I'll check in with y'all later foreign day, eight. Officially, I skipped day six and seven just because it was over the weekend and I didn't really have much going on and it was cold. I left my hair in the Bonnet for most of the day, I just threw on my beanie to go out and run errands, so I didn't have an update for day six and seven, but today is actually Monday of the following week and I kind of want To update y'all on how the past week went really enjoyed this sew-in and I didn't get a chance to wash my hair this past weekend, but I will soon I also picked up this new product that I just showed y'all. This is the two Chic Ultra moist super potion anti-frizz inviting serum oil for dry damaged hair. I showed you that I use did on the hair, but also I really wanted to focus on the ends. I noticed that the ends look a little bit dry and I wanted to make sure that I'm keeping up with the hair for as long as I'm wearing them. So it's beneficially a week now, since I've had this sew in, and I want to make sure that I can have this last me up to three to four weeks, hopefully but yeah. I just kind of wanted to come in and close the video with y'all. I hope you guys enjoy seeing how I styled my hair throughout the week when it was straight and when it's curly and kind of give you guys an option if you're interested in trying out the hair that I have for today. I just did the usual. I spray the hair with warm water. I didn't add anything additional, except for the serum that I showed y'all, I didn't add any mousse or anything just because I am planning on washing this hair very soon. So I kind of just wanted to give my ends a little bit of TLC real, quick foreign, but yeah y'all. That is it for this week and my closure. So when I hope you guys enjoyed it, let me know what you think of this hair, the style that I did any suggestions that you may have on how to keep up with a closure sew-in. I would love to hear from you all down below, but that's it for today's video yo. I hope you guys enjoyed it. Thank you so much for watching. Don'T forget to like this video subscribe to my channel.
