How To Get Perfect Curls? How To: Dry Pin Curls With Fewer Products

Hey Jim, since your girl starts raving here, so, as you can see, forgive me. I have on makeup that I've had on all day and I'm getting ready for bedtime. So I want to kind of just show you guys an easy way if you have hair color or whatever whatever. Like me, I just went through bleaching my entire head to get this beautiful, ruby red, I'm color with this rose pink that you see the hints of rose pink that you see in my hair, so I don't really want to be putting a lot of heat on It I do kind of want to wear it curly right now and then I'll probably wear it straight later so and just to show you guys look, it is 12:30 a.m. so I am definitely getting ready for bed so yeah really quickly. I'M gon na put my one in on only I'm Oregon oil. I live and breathe. Buy this on my hair, clients, hair, kids, hair. Everybody says so I stay investing in this. I'M you really just kind of want, like maybe a nickel. It'S a quarter. Size amount. Usually, I would say a PETA dime, but being that I have just went through bleaching and I'm not gon na be shampooing for two weeks coloring, and I did all of that in the same day, to get this beautiful color that you guys see. I'M gon na put this on here y'all. This is why I like to do the voiceover it's kinda cousin of you want to be too chatty, and I don't know if y'all be wanting to hear my mouth or not so anyways, but you just want to make sure that you get this completely through your Hair all the way down to the tips and, as you guys can see, my hair is already still kind of pre curled as volume and everything in it. When I did it for New Year's Eve, I actually curled it with the curling iron and a pink curled. It last night and slept in it, so I'm gon na show you guys how to easily pin curl your hair sleep in it and I'll show you guys my takedown in the morning. So the very first thing I want to make sure you guys can see me and I'm gon na try to stay in firm as much as I can very first thing brush it through completely. However, you wear your hair or, however you're gon na style, your hair, for that name, and you don't have to do this and necessarily any type of order. I don't know if I want to show you guys on base off base or what types of pink curls. I think I'm gon na do on base, so I'm gon na take pretty large sections because my hair is thin and if I go too thin, I'm into smaller sections, my hair will actually, you know, it'll be too too curly and that's kind of not like what I want you can actually section everything off if you want to I've been kind of doing this little fringe in my face. So, instead of taking this as all one section, I'm gon na go ahead and split that into two okay and if you're doing it as a dry set, you can put a little water or a little mousse or you can do hairspray. I don't want to put any products other than the oil in my hair right now, strictly because I just dyed it, but I would definitely suggest maybe having like a cup of water, something that you can kind of just dip your fingers in and run down the Hair do the same thing. If you wanted to use mousse setting spray, even a leave-in conditioner would actually do you know a spray and leave-in conditioner, just something light. That'Ll keep your hair pliable so that you can comb through it the next day so find out which direction your curl is going now you can actually fold it up, but I'm gon na show you guys how to properly do it here. So you're just gon na make a circle and if you guys don't know how to pin curl, you can twist this it's a lot of different ways. You can do it and I'm trying to do it on frame for you guys, and you just want to keep rolling that up, keep rolling this up, keep rolling this up, so you get it the base. You see how I'm right here is nothing else for me to pull or took all right. Normally, I would say, use a single promo clip but again like I said I want to do this something home friendly and stuff, so I'm going to show you guys a way to anchor this down with bobby pins, so you're gon na take your first one and All we're gon na do is make an X with the bobby pins, make sure to go completely on top of this pin curl and then whatever direction that one is going will make a cross. I shouldn't say next: either: do a cross or an X okay, which, depending whichever way, you're looking at this house, going to look. So you want it to be pretty flat and that's going to give you kind of like a tighter purl and it's gon na help to last and you're just going to repeat this completely in the section that you're doing so I'm gon na come under. Maybe it makes it easier for you guys to see and just roll this hair up up up as tight as you can hold it down two bobby pins, okay, cool thing about this: is you don't have to worry about rollers you get really nice curls that are Going to last all day - and you can sleep in comfort, because the body pins are not gon na bother you now from here, you can either go in the opposite direction. So, instead of going clockwise, the way o'clock will go one, two, three four: five: six, seven, eight nine ten eleven twelve. You can go counterclockwise, twelve, eleven, ten, nine, eight, seven, six, five, four, three, two one! Yes, I had to do that. Some of y'all may not know counter, I mean some of you may not know clockwise to counterclockwise, but anyways. So after you do that, you want to kind of grab sections like. I said they do not have to be neat y'all. It doesn't have to be neat. You don't have to have a million of it; it doesn't have to be time-consuming. You can do this in less than ten minutes. It'S probably taking me a little longer because I'm sitting here talking as I be done, had this all kind of done. This one I'm gon na go still going clockwise and I'm currently just rolling this down my head and if you do have a little something sticking up: it's ok, y'all, it's not gon na kill! You in case me and my husband decided to have a little night. So pretty much you want to repeat this TMI. I know repeat this: all of your head notice, I'm not doing them extra small, because my hair is thin anyway, and I mean I pretty much brushed out my curls right before I got on camera, but y'all they. If you guys have been watching my previous videos, my curls have definitely been there matter of fact. Do you want better? If you've been on my Instagram account, you will see that my curls have been there right, curly, curly, curly, curly, so yeah. Definitely so I want to finish the rest of my head here off camera and show you guys what it looks like completed, and then I will film I'm the rest of this in the morning. Oh it really quickly to y'all. I just picked this up from ELF y'all know. I love good moisturizers and things for my face. Y'All go try this. I got it at Walmart. It was exactly eight dollars, I'm it's a daily hydration moisturizer with purified water, vitamin E in Jehovah oil and typically, when I wash my face, I love to use, saying eyes products and then, after that I either moisturize with like Vaseline or you know, whatever, whatever it Is that I choose and or like some type of face cream, but I like this, it's really creamy the consistency was creamy, but not it didn't make me feel like I was closing, or you know I don't wanna say closing as if like I was a clogging. My pores or anything so I really liked it and I used it last night before bed and I used it this morning after I washed my face, and I really like this so y'all try this see if you like it, tell me or whatever, okay, alright yeah, I might like, I have an alien hit, but my hair is complete and I'm just kinda sorry no mirror that I'm using just dry pin curls, like I said, just wrap it up by pinning it in the shape of a cross or whatever you can spray. Some hairspray or if you already used mousse or anything like that on there, you really don't need anything else. I would strongly just suggest a c1 hanging out here, I'll just strongly suggest going ahead and putting on your bonnet cap silk scarf whatever it is yeah. So I'm about to clean my face and I'll see y'all in the morning 12:57 good night, sweet dreams good morning, Jim. So, as you guys can see, I have removed my bandage and what I have slept in you can see my pick. My rose in my ruby, red, hair, color, and so all we're going to do now is take down my pin, curls and form my hair and the way that I want now you can use a round brush. You can use a paddle brush or bristle brush whatever it is that you want to use okay, so we're just going to you can put a little oil on your hands if you want, while you're moving this foot. Just you know, take the bobby pins out. It'S real simple, I'm gon na repeat this all over it until everything is taken down. Okay, so once all my pink girls are down. This is how my hair looks. That'S all fancy I like to kind of just finger through it really quickly and, like I said this is a good hairstyle, especially if you have big hair too, is it's good, but for me my hair is kind of thin. So you know this gives me a lot of body without doing the heat and all that so I'm gon na take my palm Mitchell. Can you see that my palm is old, bamboo round brush and I'm just gon na take my hair sections and I'm going to start to and see the hair is gon na automatically curl around there. I'M just gon na kind of round brush it through Turkana to form sections that I want see. Now you don't want to brush it completely out and notice, I'm not going in at the roots, because I want to keep that volume. That'S there. This is just as if I'm doing, bigger, curls and unifying those curls and I'm still gon na come back and separate them install them. However, I want my hairstyle. I hope I'm standing frame for you guys see y'all can kind of just see what it is. I'M doing here right right right, so the back part I'm gon na come up and create volume coming up and I'm trying to lean back. So you guys can see. So it's almost like, if I'm putting in really big rollers, hold that let that curl form and then drop it same thing so over here on this side, where I'm kinda thin, I'm going to come on the side and over-direct my round brush just to kind of Get a more so effect here, alright style it, however, it is you want, oh, how do you think you're going to wear it or whatever so now that I've done that? I just simply want to finger on through it, because I don't want my curls to be as tight as I've worn them. The past couple of days, I'm looking for more of a sleek volume, type look and anywhere that looks a little frizzy just finger. Calling that back in position. Look look, look, look so I'm thinking today, then I want to just pull a little hair. So I'm just gon na pinch about 1/4 on my hair here, twirl it back and I just kind of want to pull that back. Leave it loose, I'm not looking for it to be extra tight or should I do it sleek, I don't know, I guess we can do it. Oh God, my voice this morning, alright, so leave it sleek. I want that side. Yes, okay, y'all Harper is actually under here licking my toes, not understanding why, but he is, you can come behind the ear with that part. If you want or stop hard or you don't have to, you - can leave before it's just hard where you want to style it. So in my Bankart here I think I want to have that this bring it down a tad. So I'm going to secure on the inside with a bobby and then I'm just gon na separate it. A little finger coming in come throw pink come to roll.
