How To Style: Vintage 60S Hair Flip On A Wig

Welcome back to my channel, it's a girl me here. If you are new to my channel hi welcome, I mean you're here, so I'm gon na show you guys how we did the I guess the 1960s flip work bump not exactly sure what hips I need to call it. But for those of you who don't know it's sort of been a thing, that's trending. I first saw it on my girl, Jackie ina um. I saw her do it like back in February March and I was like yo. This is a cute style, and then you guys have probably have seen people do it more. I'Ve definitely seen by the end of the year. People are definitely going to be doing a lot more. It'S definitely coming with a trendy and yeah stop by Lexie. Did it? Okay, thank you see somebody's looking at me right now. She'S, like the stylist really cute. I know girl, oh so, Alexa stop by Lexi. This is my first time working with her guys. She is amazing. She'S based in Brooklyn come get your hair done so anyway, without further ado. This was just gon na be a regular Instagram tutorial, and then I linked up with stop by Lexi gosh. She is amazing, I mean come on. Look at this hair we're gon na get into it in a second literally, be linked up last year's. To give some background she colored his hair. I liked her alright, like more of a bright orange I'll, show you guys a video clip of what that looked like. So this is what that was that this is this um and then this year we decided to link up, and I guess, make it more of a fall color and make it brown okay. So let's get started so she is using a recap on my head. I do want to let you guys know that this is gon na, be a little bit of a talk through this veteran of the process. This is not a detailed process, but it's like, I feel, like a lot of people kind of know how the least frontal process works by now. So I was like you know so so you guys know she's using got to be blue gel on my hair and the spray and she's just putting that on, like over the wig cap and blow-drying that because she's, basically getting my base ready for the wig application. Now she's just cutting the wig cap it matches with my color. I think there are options for darker skin girls where they're like wig cap. So literally you can just find a wig cap. That'S your skin tone and yeah. So by the way, guys. Also, all the products will be in the description box so feel free to check that out in case you want to know what the exact name of a product is but yeah. So this is a hair combed out, as you can see, it's a darker color compared to what we did last year, and I prefer this better just because it's more of a fall color for the gold more with stuff. It'S like a brownish, copper ginger and I think it's bomb so now she just tying the wig down on the sides, and this is just to like basically separate my baby hairs from the actual hair. So that's why she just put that down um. This is gon na, be a really cute bob, so she just showing you the cutting process. I think it's more of like a lob. If anything, it's a long bob and this part is very, very important and essential. She is coloring, my scalp I'm like skin. So I obviously have a lighter scalp, so she was using some concealer, no actually not concealer powder from a makeup palette. Actually, so you can pick up a contour palette or make a palette, that's around your skin tone and just use a brush to put that in and now she is flat ironing my hair she's straightening, the hair before she curls it just to make sure it's really Really straight, but I'm low-key feeling the blowdried kind of look in this hair. Isn'T that a vibe? I definitely feel like I'm gon na wear it like that. At some point, I love that, by the way this wig is from her line, so this wig was originally a blonde 6:13 way. She colored it and made it really just beautiful color. Oh my god, that's just there just bright way. She was rapping lotion, it's mousse! It'S really just to leg down my hair, just lick it down. So there's gon na fly away. Try anything like that and give it a really sleek look. She was humming that through my hair and giving me a little swoop, bang, which i think is so cute and when she does that she's gon na add the clips, we literally got clips from the beauty supply store and it was like a dollar. It was like three in one pack, so I think a lot of be supply stars a song it now because it's trendy, so you can definitely find this at your local beauty supply store. If you live around the urban area, that is so. This is the bumping part. She used a one and a half barrel, curling iron. This is from what is the name of this is curling. Okay, I'm gon na have to get back to you guys on that. But this is the results. It'S literally very simple. I can't curl for anything. Lord knows I can't curl, but if I can do this flip this, you can too it was very simple. As you can see, I want to also include another demo of the like a closer look on how to do it, but against it it's very simple: that's just cutting out my cyber and she's gon na real extra with it. As you can see, she is super detailed. That'S why I love that's why I loved working with her like her work, is just so neat and clean and like she is so nice guys. One thing I really do admire about her stylist that I work with, or that like does. My hair is like the energy that they set off and the vibe they give and she's so sweet. So nice, like very empathetic, just you'll, see what I mean when you, when you visit Lexy but now she's, just using small guys to be blue gel, that's just to keep my hair in place, so I have a sweet look all day. This is essentially the final look. Now. Here'S the demo, here's a closer look at the curling process. Very simple boom, very simple boom.
