Yo, why was i doing this part on camera with y'all, and my mama called welcome back to my channel lux life with chris sorry, i have multiple names today. I'M going to show y'all how to get a wig ready to wear ready to ship all the above. So when your client or yourself gets ready to apply the wig with the glue, it's all ready to go the she has nothing else to do besides, apply it to her head period. So sorry, my dog is in my way and she's doing too much um and i'm sorry for my look, but i'm comfortable in my house. Sorry: okay! Um! Today, i'm going to be showing y'all the basics, step by step by step, how to get a wig ready to wear ready to baby hair, as y'all can see in the corner baby hair um how to get your wig as flat as possible. My plucking method, uh parting method, straightening tips tools, they're all going to be dropped down below stay tuned because it's gon na be a very detailed video okay. So i would suggest y'all get your little notebook out and start writing down and please make sure y'all watch before attempting yourself, okay, get into this video. Let'S get this wig ready to wear so yeah y'all! Let'S get into this video, it's kind of like 50 dry by plucking, the homegirl, and yes, i do it before i like fully blow dries. So i'll be honest. Everyone'S plucking method is completely different everybody's. So i know that me personally, there's two things. I'M i'm always looking for is i make sure i avoid the middle area. That'S for one because, most of the time people get wigs, they're doing a middle part or side part near the middle, and you know you don't want that part over plucked. That'S the worst part to try to pluck and do your serious plucking. I kind of do my serious plucking, mainly over here and mainly over there. Okay, so i already started avoiding it, and the second thing i always look for is there's this line. It'S where the hair starts yeah, but it's not too much. It'S not thick. So it's kind of starting, i would say right here and then this is when the hair really really starts. It gets thick, avoid the middle area but cut off the line where it starts getting really thick, okay and then we're gon na separate it. It'S not gon na be legit perfect, like a straight line, but we're gon na make sure we're cutting off that area, and then we are gon. Na begin to pluck do not have special tweezers like they're angled me personally. I just get the best results when they're angled like this and and thick like, so it really snatches the hair. I just start going back y'all literally so start plucking, and you want to drag it drag it back like that. Over and over taking my comb back and looking at my results, making sure that, obviously the hairline's getting thinner, it's not as thick you'll start noticing the way it feels the way it looks and you'll know you're doing something by looking at that comb, sis! Okay! Yes! So i pulled back a little hair from the front um just so i can start flowing more hair into the pattern. What i'm trying to make take this last layer and fold it over brush it back and look and make sure that it's meeting the needs that we want and, to be honest, i feel like i can do this hairline a little bit better. So i kind of like i'm gon na go over on that final layer to check so now sis we are good on. We have looked at it. Make sure you always look. Look, look. You can add extra plucking later on, but i am satisfied with my hairline. So that's when i stop and that's how you avoid getting bald patches in your lace is by constantly pushing it back and checking it, and i do the best by doing that by applying water. That'S why i apply water. Okay! So now we're to the point where we are done: plucking, the hair is slightly still a little bit damp, so i'm just going to run a um hair, dryer, real, quick and brush it out. While i hair dry is all straight, i mean not australian blow dry. This wig is blow dried now, so i love how like natural it looks. Oh, i love my vendor, i'm like on cap, so this wig right here on my website is my everyday unit. Um. This is a 4x4 transparent lace, closure wig, the length of the everyday wig is 18 and i i didn't like have any products in my hair before blow drying or anything no products has been added. I literally just washed the hair, so every vendor is different. I don't know about y'alls, but my like my vendor's hair is like very like silk, like very, very silky, so it kind of already come like has moisture in the hair a lot. So i only use like one product literally before i straighten the hair, and i learned along the way you guys that you definitely should not over put too many products, especially oils and stuff, like that. You don't want to because it weighs the hair down and it makes it very, very, very, very stiff, so sprays spray. Any type of spray is good, not all sprays, of course, but this spray is because it's not heavy at all. Sprays are not heavy they're. Very very light um, so i kind of like spray all around the wig i cut, i'm not gon na lie. I do spray a decent amount, just because this is the only product i use. Obviously you see that i'm not spraying it literally directly on. I kind of you know spray at a distance. You know what i'm saying: don't spray directly on it. Another straightener i use, i think, how you say: it's like composey, composey, i'll tag it down below the product. This is, i believe, i either got directly from their website off of amazon and it's not expensive at all, like i think i spent like 30 or less. I think don't quote me on it, but this is the straightener i use. I am um. I just ordered a um baby, bliss slider, so i'm waiting on that because i can't wait to straighten with that, but this is going to do for now. I'Ve been using this for probably a year and a half um, usually like when i'm sectioning off the hair and combing through i do use my fine-tooth comb helps me comb through this is kind of weird, but this comb right here, it's like to me. It'S very, very, very essential. It kind of shows like how it it really does improve like your work, like the smallest things, improve your work, this comb - i don't know it, says carbon on there and i got it from sally's. It'S like carbon and y'all. It does not, you know, sometimes when you comb through the hair, with the fine tooth comb, it kind of makes it not staticky, but it makes like the little hair stand up or gets tangled and like the plastic combs. This is not plastic like just this little comb has like changed my straightening game for sure, so i straighten hair a lot y'all like i have all my basically all my wigs get straightened, of course, besides deep wave and stuff, so i straighten hair a lot. So i kind of like learn to like, what's quicker, to straighten the hair like ways to section here to make it quicker. So i kind of take each i kind of take like a fairly big amount of hair, and i just split it in half. That'S the first layer, that's how i kind of straighten so um bb, you don't care in all right, y'all, so homegirl is straightened now um so and i probably will bump the ends a little bit more once we do the part i'm about to do right now. So right now, this is how your wig look right after it is straight a little while a little crazy. So i just know like this little tip has helped me it's not even that big of a tip. So i just like taking my wax stick. I will link this down below um if she is bomb wax. Stick i got off off of like amazon or something but um so just make sure you're like pushing all these flyaways back, and i just like push it all the way back like because then fly aways y'all it just i don't know. I just want to make sure my part is completely straight and cleaning up the hairline a little bit makes my job a little bit easier to figure out where all the hair needs to go, and all that i personally just like it this way, so how i Normally do it y'all, beginner, beginner friendly tip for sure is when you get your wig stand, you'll see three lines, one two and three. I make sure the end of my closure, because this is a four by four. It'S just like perfect measurements. The end of my closure is perfectly tacked down on each last tab. Okay, so that means that i know exactly where my middle is exactly where it is and that's how i make my middle part pressing it down with the wax stick, so i can get a better visual of the hairline i'm trying to make y'all. Why was i doing this part on camera with y'all and my mama called like i'm like mama, i'm recording, so i just keep part i'm not done yet either, but i just wanted to show y'all kind of like what it's at least looking like right. Now. It'S messy, it's not cute and i'm going to show you all the end of it, but i literally just keep going down that line. I'M telling y'all cause, i'm finna show y'all, go down that line and keep taking your whack stick and parting it as best to your abilities. That'S why i ignore this as glue when i was laying my lace, but that's why it's good to have a rat tail comb and i also just want to say, like i literally be doing this part, for maybe i say maybe 10 minutes, maybe a little less. But it does like don't think you're gon na just take your comb and make a middle part like this. Your natural hair is supposed to be perfect. No, this is a wig baby. You got to take your time. Try to make things, look as realistic as possible. All right y'all, so i've been doing it for a little while now, so i want y'all to see how far i got so, i literally kept hurting taking little piece little piece and kept going so that's kind of where i'm at. I do like to take a lot of people. Do it different ways everybody does their wigs different ways. This is just how lux wigs by chris does hers? Okay, so i don't like parting too much in my part, there is a thousand reasons of why i don't do this um, but i only hit a few reasons um for one like if you over some, especially when i first started out man, i used to get Tweezer tweezer happy y'all and literally i used to take my tweezers and go crazy in the middle like okay, they so in the youtube video they said, i had a uh, oh in the youtube video they said. I had to pluck the middle parts and i just went crazy. I took all i was so focused on hitting all the little dots that i was literally just going too crazy like and to be honest with wig making like you really kind of like got ta. Go slow always do something and then look like before you keep going and going so you go crazy. So there's like little stuff like. Let me see if it lets me zoom over here. I don't know. Let me just get a little closer, so i'm gon na show y'all like the little stuff that i'll be seeing like. Let me see it's just it's not perfect. In my eyes, i can make a little bit more perfect, there's other ways of why i'm going to make my part perfect, but there's like big, sometimes there's like big knots that are literally just just smacked in the middle. That'S the stuff i i poke out, but i'm not going to the side and plucking this side and plucking that side, i'm literally just taking, and i'm only pulling out one at a time and pulling back and looking so. I kind of like there's like one knot that this is like smack dead in the middle y'all like so i'm like lightly plucking that part out i'm lightly doing it do not go ham, sis, okay, because you can pluck a hole in the middle of your lace. Imagine if you worked so hard on this wig, i've done it before. Imagine if you i've, dang shirt done it before, so you do your wigs, so nice and so pretty, and then you get to the middle part and just f it up. Okay, we do not have time for that. No, we do not making sure it's perfect, because when your customer gets it all they want to do is just plop it on their head. They don't care, like you, said it's supposed to be ready to wear, says so supposed to be ready to wear. So i try to make the job easier for my customer, like there's, always work. You'Re gon na have to do like when you first get your wig. There'S something you got to do to you know: make it fit you make it look more natural, there's a lot of stuff you got to do so. I try to make the job a little bit more easier for them, because that's what they pay me for be real, transparent right now, most of the time y'all. I don't pluck the middle at all, because i literally just take my time and part every single little piece of hair figure out where it needs to lay and literally y'all, like it's just a perfect part like and - and i try not to make it like, like Yeah sometimes i use my uh, like you know your little black pencil to perfect the part you know. Sometimes you do that. You know what i'm saying to uh just make your part look a little better if it's too spaced out and you over bleached or not. Yes, but i kind of go over just a little bit. I don't do intense, intense stuff with that at all. So now we have a little middle part, both it's like all the way down in the middle. So what we're gon na do now is i'm gon na turn the wig to the side just to show y'all you want to, and i'm also going to get a little closer. So you have to see this hold on. Okay, so there's a part where this is my middle part right here, it's my middle part, okay, sis, so right here, you'll see your track. Okay, you want to part before the track part before the tracks. The tracks right here go probably around right here. Just enough to like cover up that lace right there, you literally want just enough, but what's gon na happen is you want it to be equal on both sides, so i'm gon na do one part. First, i'm just gon na pull the hair back. That'S extra pull it straight back whatever's on the side i left on the side, but right here and i'm going to just hold my comb right here for a second just to pull back those hairs, get everything section off, even with the front section y'all, i'm like Using my wax stick and shoving it up front just so, i can get at least separated, so i know what i'm doing, because, right now, my my main focus is going to be getting this back as flat as possible and a little tip with your hot comb. Yeah, it's like a comb, but since we're going to use that back of the comb to get it as flat as possible, okay, so we're just gon na keep going. I'M gon na shove this off to the front. I had to take back some more because i could still see my trap, but you literally want just enough to cover that track up. I have a holding spray. That literally, is the goat. Okay, i got it from air, i didn't get it from erica j, but i was watching her youtube video. She was using this. I swear by this now, like literally so, it literally is going to keep that black flat, no flyaways. No, nothing ever is going to stay in its spot, so i sprayed this. You know generous mountain and i'm saying and we're not doing the whole back now. We'Re only doing this part we'll get to that section in just a moment, but remember. I said we're about to be repeating steps, i'm about to use this hot comb on here and i think i'm about to hit it at least maybe 10 times, but i'm how y'all watch me. But this is how many times you supposed to be hitting your wigs - and it's like headed hit that here with that hot corn, okay - and i like to take my um hands right after it, because i'm like molding it down, like i'm molding that thing down. So it can be as flat as possible and i'm telling y'all right now this this is already flat. It'S really flat, so i'm very happy keep going, keep going. I'M gon na start off with this section. Just because it's the nearest to me, i'm gon na start off with this side, so you can see there's a space already we're literally gon na lay the hair flat over over it. Exactly like that. Okay, so i've seen a lot of wig makers. I mean a lot even the big ones like they literally take the side of the wig. Oh, no, i'm sorry! Let me do this side first hold on i'm gon na. Do this. Let me pin this up. Okay, so they usually like take the side of the wig like this part. Like this part, that's not pushed to the back, and they literally take it like little piece by little piece. I mean y'all like they take this whole section and section it off little piece. Little piece and they take their wax stick and they take their holding spray and and literally like do all that on each little part and flatten, it says no, i don't. I don't have time for that. If you got time for that stitch, please by all means. If your hair is that thick and you got ta - lay it down like that, then maybe that's not gon na lose your hair okay. So i kind of take this section right here. Of course you want it flatter than normal okay, so i literally cut it right in half, i cut it right in half and i go ahead and pin the other part okay and then we're gon na obviously comb that down comb it down, and it's like already Like i love the way, the hair flows, like it flows so pretty, and i don't want to put no type of extra type of products on this thing like you do that that many times the wax stick and the holding spray so many times on each layer Of hair is going to weigh the hair down at a certain point like, and it's going to make the hair greasy and nasty. But - and i don't - i don't overdo it, like literally using the back of my hot palm, getting the side as flat as possible, and i know a lot of people's technique is to make it so flat. It like sucks the face that is not lux. Wigs, like chris style, i'm just saying like it'd, be so flat, it's just flat all the way, no like to me that doesn't look natural but hey to each his own. If my client ever did requested, though, would be no problem, but i personally just don't like using that much products like especially like holding sprays and wax sticks. Some wax sticks are even super greasy. I don't like that. I, like the wet stick. I use okay. So that's kind of like the first part, then i take that second half just to finish off this side and we almost done y'all. We was almost done so i kind of take it later. I know where it needs to lay. I know exactly where it needs to lay, so i take my way is all righty sis, so we have done all that. Okay, i literally like take my be taking my hands like this, make sure i'm looking at anything that pops up and laying it back down and that's pretty much it and i'm going to show you we looking so far basic hairline plugged in everything sectioned off right, Where we needed to be okay, so that's kind of how and it's sectioned off right, where we need it to be middle part, got those two sides going where they need to go and the back is laying flat. So now the last thing we need to do sis is just add, some basic hair, um baby hairs and i'm finishing up my little method to land baby hairs, not too much, because i do plan on making like an actual class for them. As you guys watch me, do these baby hairs. I just wanted to say thank you for making making it this far and watching my video make sure you comment like and subscribe subscribe subscribe.
