How To Cut Layers On Lace Wig: No Glue Wig Install Pin Curls On Hair

Today, i want to share with you all how to layer, your wig, if you have a longer wig, this was actually requested, and i thought it was a great idea because a lot of times you get a length, and sometimes you don't want the length anymore, and You want to shorten it down. Today'S video is going to show you my way on how i like to cut my wigs if they are longer now. This is the end result, as you all can see. It'S very, very voluptuous, very bouncy. This length was a 24 inch i took it down to maybe i think it's about a 16 14 inch yeah, i'm gon na show you all how i did that i will be sure to link this wig below, so this is going to be like a reinstall For me, this wig i've already had it's not new um, so i kind of washed it and refreshed it and bringing it for today's video click on the website will come in options for a body wave or a loose wave texture. This is the loose wave texture. Just letting you guys know - and it will also have two cap options - the 13x4 and also the full lace - let's jump into today's video. This is the loose wave texture, and this wig is a older style that i had just sitting around, so the link will probably be to a more updated version of this wig. However, this is what the wig looked like. I had it for a little while the color is absolutely gorgeous it. Has these beautiful highlights going through this 1b color? The hairline is the regular pre-plucked hairline, but it still works out really well. So let's take a look at the cap construction, because this wig does have an option to get the 13 by 4 cap or you can choose to get the full lace, and this is the full lace cap. It comes with the combs on the inside. This is a glueless, full lace cap, of course, so you can wear with or without glue um, so yeah, i will be sure to link it down below in the description box, along with a discount code, so be sure to check there. I'M gon na show you all how i shorten a longer length now this was requested so that i chose this particular wig because it is a 24 inch. So what i'm going to do first is take my blow dryer and straighten out the hair. I did wash this hair, it's not wet and the curls are actually really gorgeous on this or the waves are really pretty um just in this natural texture, but i'm just taking it and straightening it out before i go in with the scissors now. The first thing i like to do, if i'm going to cut the hair shorter is, i will tie away the portion of hair that i want to cut off with a hair tie um. This also helps if you want to get that blunt cut straight across. So that's how much hair i'm cutting off, and this is what the length is going to be. I think this is probably like a 14 or 16 inch. So now i'm just going to separate the hair starting at the bottom, because i really want like a layered. Look - and i don't want the blunt cut so i'm going to go in and feather the hair with a razor, so i'm using my razor comb to do this and i'm just starting at the bottom and at the ends and kind of razor in the hair. Now i'm going to put a little disclaimer out there, i'm not the best at layering and cutting hair. However, i do what i can and i try my best to make it look great okay. So if this is not all professional, look, i've told you already but yeah. You can do this to kind of give the hair a layered look just go section by section making. You know the bottom section the longest and then the middle section a little bit shorter than the bottom and then at the top. Of course, this is the area where you want to either frame your face with the layers. So it's going to give the hair lots and lots of bodies. Okay, when you use this razor and of course you can do this on a body wave texture, i actually recommend doing this on a body wave, texture or straight texture, and if you love the loose wave just for the waves, then you can wear it that way. However, this is the style that i had on hand. So this is the wig i'm working with for today, and you just want to keep going through it until you get it to the desired. Look that you are going for. After that, i'm going to go ahead and add some curls. Now my curling iron gets really hot. So i'm going to add these gloves over my hands just to protect from the heat, because i am going to pin curl the hair and holding it sometimes can be a little hot okay. So yeah, that's just a tip if you want to curl your hair. So, oh i did let these pin curls sit for at least 30 minutes before i took it down. This is how it look, and now we are going to move into installing this wig now for today's install again, i'm going glueless. I am not gluing this wig down. So if you don't want to wear a full lace, wig with the glue you do not have to, you can just tighten up the straps in the back. You can use the combs, but this wig lays very flat, as you can see, even without me using any glue. So i'm just going to take down these pin curls and, as you can see so much body so much volume and i think that's the difference between the loose wave texture when you blow it out and add curls. It gives so much volume to the hair, and sometimes it leaves a nice texture. That looks very realistic. So that's a tip if you are looking for that natural hair type of look go with the loose waves or the curly hairs and then straighten them out and you will have lots and lots of body in the hair. So i'm just taking my hot comb and pushing this hairline back and kind of fluffing out the curls. They are so tight like super tight. I actually later on, had um shook them out a little bit more so that they would loosen up. But this style is definitely complete. I'M just laying down my edges a bit and, as you can see, the lace looks good. It is a bit darker for my complexion, but it works. Okay, um! I do love this wig a lot, it's so so pretty the color and everything and, like i said this is a full lace wig. So you can party anywhere on that lace, all the way to the back. If you want to - and you probably can't pull it up because it does have that adjustable band in the back - this is a glueless, full lace.
