Hey: hey, hey family business, hair model for you and thank you for tuning in to my channel as I am okay, I get so many questions on what weight caps are great for? U part wig, so what would perhaps are great for wigs with actual closure pieces. So I know I talk about this so much, but there's so many way. Caps out there, this everyone uses a different wig cap. So let's get right into it. First, what I'm going to tell you is a wig cap not to use for anything other than giving it back to your man, so you can put on his head at night, and that is the spandex cap. The spandex cap, for various reasons, is too flimsy, too big, and it doesn't hold anything so you wouldn't want this as a wig on your hair, I don't care how tight you so the wet on this is not good for a wig. So, ladies, let's give this back to your man or your friend, or anyone who wants kind of waves or something let's not use a spandex cap to make these wigs come on now come on. Follow me: okay! The next is a dome cap. This is the go-to cap for most women who are making these u-shaped wigs. Now this cap actually looks like, and I'm trying to make sure I got everything here or everything's - set up, don't look like a stupid old cap out, but the dome cap is actually a thicker cap thicker than the spandex cap is actually what I have on my Head with this wig right now is a domed cap. Okay, this isn't good for your everyday u-shaped part. Wigs and your cheat. You shape prop ways where you leave this string in between yeah. This is very good for that now. Another cap that you see most women using is a regular wig cap. Okay, it has the adjustable straps in the back. It'S very lightweight. I personally don't like them, but I know a lot of women like the wig caps used for the u-shaped part with wigs when I'm doing awake with the closure piece. I do not like these they're, not sturdy enough. I don't like them. I won't use them, but, for you shape part wait if someone wants me to make them one. Yes, I would use this okay, and this is your regular neck, wig cap, okay, now another hood cap that I see women making waves with and sewing them on. Is your regular wig cap, your regular nylon? No ladies, don't do that? Don'T do that to yourself. These are for under your wigs or quick weaves. If you want a quick weave, wig use this if you're sewing anything, please don't use this print. Also anything on here. This is a waste your money you're going to have to cut it off. It'S just a waste everybody. So, ladies, if you want to quickly wig, this is a great cap to use if you want to just lay your hair down at night or make your hair a little tighter under the wig. This is great to use. This is a way cap, nylon, okay, so another way that you can actually make your wigs if you're, that good is using a weave in it, you don't the weaving net. You measure your head, you cut it to size, and then you place it on you're. One of these heads you place it on a head like this, not a styrofoam, but one of these okay and then it's a custom-made cap and you sew it on that's, not one that you can pin on or anything, but you can ask Elise or it on. I actually had one that I don't know if we have it, I should have had it on for the camera, but I don't so. This is really good when you get to a certain level that you can make your own wig cap out of a weaving net. This is really just ease now what I've been talking about in all the rooms and the Facebook rooms or whatever? Is these Japanese swim caps? Oh my god, my cousin introduced me to these. These are the best they're lightweight type. The band is not, as you know, the band is very forgiving, but they're very tight. So when you make your u-shaped part wings with the closure piece, these are amazing. You don't even need combs. If you don't want to, I mean you can put them in, but these caps are amazing. These are both Japanese swim caps, they're just made by different companies. What kind of actually like the this one, I think, is their their arena caps and this one is, I think, the sports one think she likes this one better. It'S lighter and then this one there are two different caps and I don't know if you can like see but they're, both Japanese swim caps. These are the best okay look, how light that is compared to your dome cap. Okay, you have a lot of breathing for those summer. Definitely, girls get hit with this tour to some of these online Google, it okay and so last but not least, I want to show you these cones now these are the Whitcomb that you're going to need when you're, making these wigs, okay basic combs, you can order These online at, let me see it, I believe it was get this for you guys make sure you get the right information. You can order these online at M h, RW comm order, the large cut them in half you get more. They sell them in large and small. Okay can see that. I'M sure you see that okay, basic wing combs okay, come in a whole bag like this. Ladies, when you start off start with these okay so min, let me show you how it looks when you saw them in your soul, min right there, okay, here's another one right! There is so many places where you want to feel comfortable, which is probably right here in in the back. You don't want to put too many things right here on your temples. You want. You don't want to take out your hairline, ladies, but that's with the wig clips, and this is a dome cap. Okay, guys - and so I hope that give you a little insight on how many caps you can actually use to make links. Okay - and I am loving the one that I have on right now - it's on a dome cap and this is a custom-made away, but loving it watch my video, you will see exactly who? facciaDolce: I absolutely love you and your advice! I wish I had watched this video before I jumped into making my first attempt at a u-part wig. I'm diggin the dome cap but I think I'll look for one of those japanese swim caps...oh yeah, and the wig clips? Very important part of the wig, Sally's sucks for not selling the clips you have! Thank you for all your info!

LaTamara Taylor: Thank you SO much for this video...I have been searching for the video to order the Japanese wig caps again! I ordered a few 2 years ago and they are by far the BEST...I ordered a few and my wigs are still very durable after over 2 yrs...my stylist and friends were actually impressed with the durability and that's its breathable.

Shasean Williams: Thank you so much..you are the bomb! I was sitting here wanting to make a wig and didn't know what type of cap to purchase. I needed to know the best products to buy...you hit it right on the nail for me. And, you are right we spend a lot on hair we are teaching other.

Shamelle Roberson: This video was very helpful. I just started making upart wigs. Thanks to you, now I know the right caps to use.

Ms. Perfectly Imperfect: Very informative. I used the dome cap to make my first U-part wig and it was WAY too small. I'm finishing up my second attempt using the wig net and it seems to be just fine.

Jan Daw: I love your video and use it as a guide whenever I'm purchasing caps for my wigs,  I found the Arena mesh swimcaps on Ebay and bought it in a M cause I have a big head lol. I will admit the fit allowed me to have all my head covered (no leave out yaay as constantly applying heat to my natural hair meant after a while it became damaged) so kudos for that; whilst it is secure, (we're having a very windy winter here in the UK; it feels secure to go out with and not having to worry about it blowing off. I didn't even need to put clips or bands in it)  it bumps in the crown area, but here's the one disadvantage about the Arena mesh swim cap from my experience-  it is tearing the front of my hair out! I can't seem to work out why it's doing it either,as it's not painfully tight. I just wanted to know if since you've done this video have there been any other caps on the market that you can recommend for a full wig? I'm about to purchase the rakuten swim cap you have in your information bar.  If anyone wants the link for the arena cap it is: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/321120755767?ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1423.l2649 I hope you have better luck with it than I did :-)

OnyiLoves: Thank you so much for making this video, it was very informative! I have no intention on leaving my hair out or using a closure so would you recommend the Japanese swim cap for just a plain full wig?

EmpressFya: Excellent info! Thank you! Can't wait to see an update on the wig you're wearing! Beautiful!

jrysfnst21: Thanks to you u ordered the Japanese swim cap and made a unit with it I love it thanks so much!

Queenfoxxylady: I absolutely LOVVVVE all of your video's Thanks my sister, For schooling us i was stuck as a beginner with wig caps, But you've open an option for us thankyou so much

Demetre Ofurie: Thanks, this helped me a lot. I made a glue gun wig with a dome cap, it is not as flexible as I would like so I am definitely going to try the Japanese swim cap. Do you have any thoughts on the glue gun method?

dollbaby4400: Hello, just found your channel so glad I did. Im just getting into making my own wigs. Great vid very detailed..thanks for sharing..Blessings..Doll

sweetlady asali: Thank you lady. BIG THANK YOU. AT LAST I CAN NOW SAVE MY MONEY!! LOL I WAS TRYING TO KNIT A WOOLEN CAP BUT I JUST COUDN'T GET. I NEVER THOUGHT OF A SWIMMING CAP. OH THANK YOU!! XX

Tish mels: Thank you so much for telling me about what wig cap to use because I also purchased the wrong cap. Thank you for getting this information out , yes lets all help each other so we can all come up.

brynisha030506: Thank you for your response. I feel like I've been cursed with my head size ...bought a couple synthetic motown tress flex cap wigs and those don't even fit so I have watched a handful of videos lately about making your own wig. The hot glue method seems the better option for me but I know not as lasting as sewing. I don't sew. Really the first step for me to find a Cap comfortable on my head. I'm trying to protect my natural hair. Not damage it.

Mazzi: Thank you SO much!! That was very informative! U helped me a lot ❤️

ED CASTRILLON: You are just lovely to watch and listen to-beautifully lit within! So friendly and u can tell u really love "paying it forward" with the knowledge and experience u have making, what looks like beautiful wigs! Thanks for sharing, I used to spend hundreds of dollars buying wigs when i was a performer. Who knew I should have been making them myself? After watching I feel like making one-maybe I will for a friend? lol much luv and success to you girl...; )

janekadequay: Great vid! I have a few questions: 1) I've used the regular wig cap to do my u part wig and now it has holes in it from washing it I guess, anyway is the dome cap good for long term use? Like sewing it on and leaving it on for a month 2) will it stretch out of shape once the wt. from the wefts pull on it? 3) can the swim cap be used for u part wigs? Thank you for your time

Otelia Oteng: This was very informative!!! Do you sew the hair onto the dome cap? Also, with the cap that is commonly used with the ear tabs (the net), can you sew the hair on with a dome cap underneath or one of the quick weave caps just for snugness?? I want to attempt a full wig sew in. Thank you!

LaurMitMom: Thanks for the tips. I subscribed. Hope I can find some of those swim caps. I would love to be able to make my own wigs and style them.

Life Of A Thick Chick: thank god for this!! thank god for you!! i was using a spandex cap forever & it was always way to big !! smh i had to cut the middle out several times & then sew it back together just so it would fit! the complete worst experiences ever buy im deff gonna look for the dome cap & the japanese one to re-install this hair i have in now! thanks so much, your the best -- new subbie, sub back :)

Ash Butterflyyy: My head is small and I've NEVER had a wig to fit my head without me having to use lace wig tape to keep it on my head nice & tight. I only use 2 pieces though. But I've never tried a dome cap. Will the material of the dome cap stick to the lace tape?

jaycenac: Thanks for the video! I am thinking about making a wig. I've had locs for about 8 yrs and was thinking about switching it up....my locs are about mid back. So i need a big cap...i want to make a closure the circ of my head is 25 and ear to ear is 14 .....do you think a large japanese cap or dome cap would be large enough....or should I use the satin cap?

favoured: Hello HAIRMODEL4YOU! Thank you for sharing this information with us. I would like to do such wigs myself for the fact that I have a BC right now. I want to have a hair net to enhance my hair growth beneath the wig and as well to let air go through it easily. Is it possible to do such wigs with more flexible hair nets that one uses to keep the hair bund? I tried to send the links but it didn't work. If you can and like just type in google hair net. Thanks for your reply :)!

Dantalian Gerhardtsreiter: What cap is most durable for sewing wefts into? Is the Japanese cap good for u part wigs with sewn wefts?

Issawholevibe: you may have to strech it out on a larger head for a week. try putting a cloth over your manny head and then a stocken to make it bigger so it can stretch
