Creating A Custom Fit Wig | Cap Shrinking Method For Wigs | Transfer Measurements To Your Wig Cap

Welcome Back

Here’s a quick video explaining how to create custom fit wigs for you and/or your clients by using the shrink cap method.

I use mesh dome stretch caps or dreamworld mesh cap to create my wigs. Whichever brand you use it is important that the caps are stretchable.

Hi guys welcome back to my channel it's here to wan na hear I just wanted to share with you guys, really quick, a great way to ensure a custom date on your wigs for your circle, for your clients after you transfer the measurements. So for me, when a client places an order forward, it is important to get their measurements, of course, and make those measurements fit exactly so if you're buying the mesh dome stretch caps like the one here which, in my opinion, are the ones that you should be Using because they're more breathable so right handers transferring the measurements the clients head circumference, it was a 22, so I have a 22 block head and the front to nape was about a 15 and a half. So what you see here is me just transferring the measurements. So now you see here what I'm pulling is that you have a lot a lot, a lot of extra room here. So now we really have to make that disappear. So make sure that the wig it's perfect to the point where you don't even need an elastic band, although all of my wigs come with one you still just want to, you know: have it fit perfect? So what you're gon na do is move all of the extra mesh. I guess her all the extra one with a cap, you're gon na move it up, and this is your doing this technique, no matter if you're using a frontal or closure, so you're gon na move it up. You don't have to pull it tight, but you know just enough to make sure that most of it is going to be removed, but it doesn't have to be super super super tight because we use so the the weft. The way we saw the tracks on the cap, it's gon na shrink it a little bit there as well. So you don't want to pull it too too tight, but just enough to remove it all so you're gon na bring it all to the front. And what you're going to see here is that you're gon na sew all of that. Okay. So now that you have that sewn down and out of the way you can continue to make your wig as normal, I am making a closure wig. I have a provide your own bundle service on my website, co2 1a collection.com. So that is what I'm going to be doing today. As you can see, the closure does cover the part that is sewn. I also added in a clip of me shrinking the cap as well with the closure wig and, as you can see, there is no difference. The lace is gon na cover the part that is sewn down and again you just continue as normal. All of my wigs are machine sewn. However, my photos and closes - I do sew down that way when it's time for them to be replaced, they're just easier to remove okay, so that's pretty much it as far as the video goes. So when you go to cut off the excess wig under the lace, you see, everything that is sewn down is going to get removed and again this technique is used on both closures and frontals. I hope you guys did something in enjoy this video. Please subscribe to. My channel and also check out my website co2, won a collection, comm and also follow me on instagram axe here.
