Hey friend, girls welcome back to my channel. It'S the alexis janae. If you like this week, stay tuned and see how i started it's going to be very easy and beginner friendly hi. My name is alexis janae. This is what happens when i. This is what happens behind the scenes when i slay your wig. This is my talking stick. I keep the talking. Stick because don't know me, here's the thing about the talking. Stick, i'm the only one who can hold it so, which means i'll be the only window. First things: first, we're going to get our knots bleach, i'm going to be using some bleach from the beauty supply store. Normally, i would use professional products, but because i know most people on here are not professional hair. Stylist, i'm going to be using something we all can be hands on with. You can get this from any beauty supply in your local neighborhood. It runs you about nine dollars a bucket and, i think, that's pretty affordable. I'M also going to be using a 40 and a 10 volume developer and mixing the two to get the volume i want just because i was too lazy to go to the store and get a 20 ball. So if you're going to the store, just get a 20 volume to start off with, especially if you're a beginner and if you experience you know, you can use a 30 or 40 because you, you know what you're doing, but if you're, if you're new to this. Let'S just start off with the 20 honey. You don't want to do too much, don't want to do too much mix it mix it mix it mix it um. Also before i even tell you to mix it, make sure that you're doing this in a very thick pasty, consistency, because if it's too runny, then it's going to be bleaching, your hair and how i test it is. I just flip the bowl over and make sure nothing comes out. The wig that i'm going to be customizing today is made by the brand love me wigs when you get the bag, it's going to say, affordable luxury wig and that's exactly what it is. I was really so impressed with the texture of the hair, the natural shine, the natural body, the minimal, shedding the minimal tangling. I would definitely try this wig out one day, although i do provide my own hair and i make my own wigs. I'M really obsessed with this brand. I love it and i recommend it, especially if you're on a budget, so i'm just going to go ahead and get my wigs all propped up on my mannequin and whatever night and i'm just going to start applying. I don't think i have to talk you through it because there's so many youtube tutorials on this already so just watch me watch me watch me also, don't pat it in too hard. I should say that though huh are y'all still there, because you know us um, millennials and generations, z, people. We have the attention span of like a five-year-old because of technology, and i know that it's kind of hard to just sit through a whole tutorial without skipping. But just let today encourage you to work on that. Okay, we need to get back to our right state of mind. We need to start concentrating a little more so just watch the video you might miss an important detail, so stay tuned, don't go away sing! Your d e abcs g h, i j, k, l n p, a a okay boom bam bop. So i'm going to be using my professional products for this part, i'm so sorry, but i only have professional styling products. Of course, i'm going to be using my hydro cream whip by paul mitchell. That'S what you see in the black bottle and then i have my blowout bombshell spray by amica on the left side, both of these products smell so good and they're. Just going to add a little bit of you know, memory for the curls we're going to do a little something to make sure it has that memory. You don't want the curls to fall too much and then the blowout spray. It just smells good. I'M not gon na lie just add that in there for the smell good, an unprofessional product, that'll get you the same. Results are nairobi. You can get that at the beauty supply. Thank me later love. You now we're into our tweezing process, and you can see that i just um i'm as gentle as possible with this wig. I am not going to be doing any extra plucking, i'm not going to be going for the baby hair effect. This is for a mid age, woman, who's very stylish and jazzy and well up kept, but she doesn't want baby hair and i understand because i think that's a little different for a 50 year old woman to be walking around with baby hair. Just my opinion um. But i like to start off by making a section and then pulling it forward first and i go back, i don't ever start on the hairline i like to do that last after i see how everything else lays because just thank me later you'll see why, because Sometimes you can just over pluck and then it's like damn baby, your frontal guy alopecia. The whole point of the frontal is to get the matches back. You know what i'm saying, so we don't want to do all that. So, as far as where to plug exactly the sections that i'm making with my comb, i like to pretend that there are triangles in that one little line of hair right. And then i go to the first triangle and i plug the hair. And then, if it was another triangle right there, i would skip that triangle and go to the next triangle and pluck the hair skip the next one and then go to the next one and plug you know kind of do that with your hair. Think about your edges, it's like a part where it's like a little see-through than you have here and see-through you have here: that's how you get the natural effect and if you don't understand, watch more videos and be patient with yourself, because you're not going to get It in one video and if you are congrats pookie personally, i think that this looks perfect for a mid age woman she's not going to be doing any extra styling to it, she's literally going to wear it in the middle part. That'S it like no pulling up. No braids in the front, no styles, no space, buns honey, no up down half down like it's. None of that. So you have to know what your client is going for. So you don't overwork yourself or under work yourself, know exactly what they're going to be do know their intentions, because you will be wasting your time over plucking this and really wasting hair, because most of the time, people like her are going to wear this wig. For years and years to come so she'll have a little longevity with you know the edges still being there. Y'All y'all can't really tell in the video because it's speeded up, but my freaking blow-dry nozzle kept flying off and it was so annoying like. That is the struggle when you trying to blow dry your hair and the nozzle keeps running like i know y'all can relate. Please tell me in the comment section if this happens to you tell me. Let me know like this is one of the i won't even say a black girl struggling. This is just a struggle of being a hair stylist being doing your hair period period, so i'm going to be taking my handy, dandy, paul mitchell, shears, um and cutting some layers, and you know i am a paul mitchell. Alumna, proud, um graduate. I love pineapple. The experience was delightful and they taught me so much even just like mentally. They helped me grow as a person. I love paul mitchell. If you're thinking about going to hair school, i would definitely recommend it. Okay but yeah i'm going to cut some layers into the hair and what i'm going to start off doing is making a little triangle section in the middle of the frontal and then cutting a guideline for my layers. And the guideline means that this is going to be the hair piece that you're going to follow when you're cutting and um yeah. What i was about to say to y'all yeah um, just watch you'll see. So that's what i was going to say. Normally, if you were doing this on a real person, the guideline would be at their chin, so i just visualize it and imagine in my head. If this was a real person, where would her team be so yeah? That'S what you do if you're doing this on an extra person do so now i'm going to just take my um old school, pressing comb and lay those edges down. You know because we got to have those edges laid in i'm also going to be styling with some marcel curlers, because i still like to curl with those i have a pair of electric curling irons, but they are broke so you know this is why marcel's are Perfect because the electrics they gon na die on you one day, you know so maybe i should try it so y'all. Look at that side angle! That'S what i'm talking about. It looks really natural and clean. That'S the look i was going for so i just wanted to. You know, apply myself on that, so oh we y'all it's getting fun she's styling! Now, as i said earlier, i still use the marcelo curling irons for multiple reasons, but um. I just want to tell y'all explain to y'all, rather what i'm doing i'm going to take horizontal sections like so and then i'm going to pull the hair up as far as i can for the maximum volume and then i'm going to put it in the iron Close it and wrap it around and then i'm gon na go up, click, click and go back down and go back up; click, click and go back down and also, as i'm doing this, i'm wrapping around with my hair and as i'm talking and you're, watching you're Gon na make it's gon na make sense, so click click go down. Click click go down, that's how it works, because i know a lot of people do not know how to use this, but you can get this same. Look um with electric curling, irons or flat irons, if you like to do that, but i hate curling with flat irons, it's just like. No, i won't do it. I want to know something: a person who hairstyles i love and who kind of inspires me. The most is a girl named fitz hair. She is a nashville base stylist and she also only use marcelo curliness. I won't say only. I don't really know what she has in her her booth. I don't know what she has with her, but i know most of the videos i see she's still using like a marcel, curling, irons and her curls are to diaper. You guys should go look her up. Her name is fitz hair, it's so like classy, but like still baby, if you want to call yourself that, but like i love it, i would definitely go to her one day. So do so remember y'all a b c d e g hijk be patient with me. Um, honestly, i have to watch this video on eddie before i post it. So i know how hard it is to fully watch me. Curl every piece of hair and i've done so much editing to where, like y'all, can see every angle of what i'm doing without having to show the whole head because realistically nobody's going to watch all these. I don't even want to watch all of these. I don't know if it's, because i'm editing or i've already been there done that but abcdefg you know get your attention span back to z, i'm just playing. I don't know what i'm saying anymore, but we're almost done and, as i said guys i like to pull up on the hair like that. Just for maximum volume got ta have maximum volume. If you want to get that pretty like swoop feel and just body body. So that blue spray, that you see me using, i got that from the beauty supply. It'S called wig oil shine, spray and honey, it works so well, it's so concentrated, so potent one spray goes a long way. I suggest you to hold your hand about 12 inches away before you spray, or you will have a big old oil spot is really worth it. 149 i'll tell you that i love it. Another important thing that i want to mention is let your curls sit for. Five minutes before you comb them out and pick them out whatever your normal routine is because that way, it gets like almost like a pin, curl effect when you pin curl your hair and let it see, and then the hair is just like a little more voluptuous. Like we want that look, we want these curls to last as long as possible so like when your client get to feeling itself, they can swing and look over their shoulder and be like who said that with confidence, you know what i'm saying so yeah, let's just Let'S just do that, i'm loving these curls and y'all can't tell me anything about him like how do you not feel what i'm feeling you know? So it's the background for me, okay, video, on how i made this backdrop coming soon, so guys we are coming to it and um right now. You can see in the clip i'm just like doing some refinement on her hair. I think overall, i'm really satisfied with this look. I love this wig. I love the curls. I love the process of doing it, everything about it um and you can also see how i'm going to get those pictures in and get those angles in for the gram and the book. I'M glad that you guys stay with me throughout this whole video. I think doing our abcs and like kumbayang together, really helped us get through this together. I know our attention spans are low in 2020 and i hope everybody stays a bliss. Thank you for watching me like comment, subscribe and share and come back to my channel. Thank you, love y'all, bye,
