What'S up you guys, i've heard your cries and your need to get your wig perfectly slayed, but i've bring you guys my tips and tricks on how to create a successful, install. Okay, we're going to be going over plucking, your hair, dyeing it jet black, doing an install and also styling. This hair is brought to us by snow black. This is your 18 inch, full lace wig. So if you are ready to change your wig game to the salon, hey girl, so for my girls that are pretty new to the wig game, the first step to slaying your wig is bleaching. The knots. If you look very closely, there are black dots that are really close to the lace, even though this lace is gorgeous from snob life. I mean look at it. She looks delicious, but we want to make sure that those knots are bleached, that it does give a seamless look and a scalpiana vibe when you do apply it to your hair. So i'm going to start off grabbing my bw2 bleach. I got this from sally's, but they also sell it at your regular hair store, just acts to sales associate and i'm sure should be able to show you where it is. I'M going to be adding a 40 volume developer to bleach my wig and i'm using the small bowl, which is a great for bleaching knots, because it's pretty small and you don't need a lot of bleach to bleach the knots. I actually used a little bit too much bleach. I don't know how many times i'm going to keep saying bleach, but just one more time we're going to just mix up this bleach mixture. I did see a tip to add: shimmer lights and shimmer lights is used to actually bring out the lighter tones, remove any brassiness to your hair. So i am applying some of the shimmer light stamp shampoo to the bleach, and i really did like this mixture because my knots did not come out super brassy um. So then i go in and i'm going to flip my wig inside out. This is actually one of the ways to bleach your knots on your wig um, so i'm just using my brush to apply the mixture onto the knots and you want to be really light-handed. I am actually a little heavy-handed on this, so some of it did see through, but because we are dyeing our hair, a jet black, it will be okay because i'll be able to dye some of the color. Once i get to that step, but you're just going to make sure to just lightly press on this mixture onto the lace to cover the entire lace, this is a full lace wig. So we're just going to swoop this all over the lace and make sure that it gets the knots because the better you bleach, the knots, the better your hair is going to look and if you are using bleach, remember to use it in a ventilated area and Open up your windows, let's get into plucking, so this is what the wig looks like before it is plugged. I mean the hairline is very pretty, but it is not the ideal hairline that i'm going for this is along the lines of what i'm going for. I did pluck some of the hair on this side and it just looks more realistic because a lot of the times scalp there's some spots that are missing. It'S not so full um, so you just want to give it a nice. Pretty like look to the scalp. You wanted to get really good scalp vibes, so i do part off a section that is going to be my baby hairs and i start tweezing that side. So it's a really big difference that tweezing makes and i'm gon na show you how to do it. So i part the hair going downward and i grab slanted tweezers and i start pulling the hair backwards to just grab it on to the tweezers and just pull that hair out. I do a method called um. I think it's called skip. One skip one skip one. So pluck skip pluck, skip, pluck, skip and basically what that is. Is you pluck one area then you skip, then you pluck the next area. Then you skip and you pluck the next area you skip. This is to just help preventing your hair from being bald and i've definitely done it sometimes i've over plucked, and i got bald spots. But this way you do not get any bald spots and you're just kind of pulling the hair, as you are plucking it to really grab that hair and grabbing one hair. At a time and just giving you a nice seamless, look um, this part does take a while. I want to just be clear with you guys, sometimes in videos you do see it sped up, but i do want to let you guys know this took probably about one to two hours to really get it a good. Pluck that i liked i kept looking and just seeing if i liked it and just making sure that it was giving like scalp, because the better it squeeze the better it's going to look when you apply it to your hair, i mean you don't want to over. Pluck as well so because i am going to be reusing, this wig, i don't do a really dramatic plug. I know that that's like really trendy right now, just to get a real scalp look, but i know a lot of my girls that might be watching my video. You know you're investing in a wig you're, not somebody that gets new hair all the time, and it's just not fair to for me to tell you guys. So you know: pluck your wig to you know, get a real scalp vibe, because eventually you know sometimes the frontal may loosen and the frontal may bald if you pluck it, really really thin in the beginning, you're not going to get that six months where you're not Going to get that, you know a year long, wear of your wig, because your wig might end up balding just from normal wear um. It is on your head. You might scratch it a little bit that might come. That might cause the um knots on the hair to be a little bit looser. So i just want to just recommend to you guys, pluck it good enough, but do not over pluck, do not give your hair that super thin hairline, because a lot of the models you see they get new wigs frequently. So they are able to do that, and some of us might not be able to do that. So definitely pluck this um to your liking, but don't over, pluck if you're looking to have your wigs last a long time. I do want to put that disclaimer in this video um, so i am plucking and just parting. The hair pushing it forward, part in the hair, plucking, partnering or plucking, and this is what she looks like once i am done um. She looks a very, very bomb. I did part it in the middle, so i wouldn't over part that over pluck that part um, so she's giving really scat vibes. I also put a napkin underneath my wig on top of my mannequin head, to really see what it's looking like. With that white background versus the tan, i found that very, very helpful, um, so yeah. I hope that was detailed enough if you guys do want a detailed video. Definitely let me know in the comment section. This is what the hair looks like after i pluck it. This is how much hair came out. You guys, um. I also had a little pink thing um because i am a small business owner, so i do have to send out orders so yeah that was in there. But now, let's move into coloring the hair jet black. I'M gon na be using just five um ming actually recommended me to use just five. That'S the color that she used with her hair and her hair is really really black. She swears by it so um. I tried it one time and i fell in love. I actually bought them off of amazon and what comes in the package is developer, gloves, conditioner and obviously that color, it's very simple. If you guys use box color dye before you do just mix a developer inside of the cream, and i mean you mix the yeah. You mix the developer inside the cream and you mix these together and then you really shake them up. I got these off of amazon and i bought about five at a time just because i know that if i'm wearing black hair, i don't like that natural brown color that it comes with, even though sometimes that could be dark enough for some people. I just prefer my hair to be black, because i just want that black that crisp, that really balm silky look, and it just looks like you just put extra effort into your hair, like it just looks bomb so we're going for jet black and that's what we're Gon na get so after you apply all the color, you just shake it up, really really good um. You can also follow the instructions that are inside of the box um. It does come with details instructions but because i've colored box, my hair, a bunch of times. I just know what to do at this point: it's pretty simple and very beginner friendly, so definitely shake it up. I also don't know why i'm doing this on a white table, because i did mess up my table a little bit doing this, so you do it on something that you don't mind getting messed up, because this is a messy process um. So now i'm grabbing my edge curler brush - and i just found that you know applying color or bleach to the roots of the frontal using like a brush, is a way better than anything that i've done before um. So i'm just brushing that onto the roots of the hair, i was gon na watercolor dye, the rest of the hair, because i've done that before with the just five, but because this is 18 inch, it's pretty short um. I just was like. Oh, let me just do the roots first and then, if i did need to dip it, i can dip it, but i did not. I just did the roots um on the frontal before i colored the entire hair, so you just see me parting. It and just grabbing some of that color, that's in the blue deposit bowl and i'm just applying it to the roots and just getting close to the roots, but just making sure i do not get any on my parting of my frontal and you guys can see Like this is what the knots look like like this is almost giving scalp, and this is just on the mannequin. So just imagine when it's on my head with that bald cap, like you, want it to really give scalp this frontal wig from snob life is a really good investment, especially if you're looking for something that's going to be a protective style. You still want to slay. I really really love their wigs they're, very high quality. They do not shed, they do not tangle i've, bleached them and they have lasted a really really long time. Some of the weeks i have - and it's been about three years now - um so they're - really a investment. If you are looking to step into the wig game, definitely head over to the snoblife.com, um and yeah, so now, i'm just depositing the color all throughout the frenzel and just brushing it. How i need to brush it, and i am making sure i do not get any color on top of that, look at that. On top of that um part, i did get a little bit on the lace, but i am going to be cutting off the lace, so it doesn't really matter, but i'm going to be cutting off the front of the lace, so it doesn't really matter um. So yeah i'm just going to continue to pause that color and i will be back in a second but just want to know how y'all doing um. This is a process, definitely trust the process and take your time anytime when it comes to doing color or anything that comes with your wig, it does take a process. That'S why the stylus are able to charge to what they charge, because it is a process and there is a lot of time that's put into giving you a nice sleigh. Sometimes we see the end result and we're like yo like that look fire, but it really is a process. So definitely take your time, especially if we're doing it at home. It is diy, but we're not trying to give that diy. Vibe, like it's not diy and just giving that we want to get professional from the home, we want to look good. We want to, you, know, make it affordable, but still look great. So that's what we're doing and that's what i'm here to teach you guys. So definitely thumbs up this video, if you guys are enjoying this content so far and comment down below. Let me know your thoughts on this color. Do you guys prefer any other jet black color, like put me on, put the glim girl squad on in the comment section down below so once i finish, coloring the roots of the hair. I do go and i just apply the color to the rest of the hair. I was, i ended up not doing the watercolor method. I just ended up just squeezing on that color and girl. I was halfway through the video before i realized that i needed to put gloves on so don't be, like me, put gloves on. This is color, especially if you have your nails done, like my nails were done, did them myself, but they were still done and um. I got some color on my nails, so you'll see that in a little bit so definitely wear the gloves. These are actually the gloves that came in the box. With the box, color box color typically comes with gloves. It'S definitely like a a one step type of shop type of vibe when you buy a box color, so um yeah, i'm just pressing, i'm just spreading that all throughout the hair evenly just making sure that everything is really saturated in that die because, like i said I want my hair black. I don't want a natural brown, it's not for me so yeah and this stop life. Wig made it super easy to apply the color because it wasn't getting tangled. The hair is definitely of high quality, so it really took to the die. Pretty easy i didn't have to do much, but just apply it and let it sit for a little bit. So i would definitely recommend once i deposit that color onto the hair, one of my favorite things to do is just comb it out. I feel like when it comes it out it evenly distributes to color through every strand, so you're not getting some strands that are more brown and some strands that are more black and because this is a full lace, wig, you are able to actually bleach the entire Wig, but because i'm only using the frontal part, that's the part that i focused on. But if you are looking to do um deeper parts in this wig, you can definitely do that by bleaching, the entire wig. So i'm just going through and doing smaller sections and just running that dye throughout the entire hair. This process is actually pretty easy um than i thought it definitely took less time than i thought as well. I would probably say it took me about, i would say, 45 minutes to an hour to um dye the frontal and then spread the color throughout the rest of the hair. I think it's because the hair is a little bit shorter um. The reason for me doing this hair, you guys you guys know i typically love it's like 26 28, like i love my hair, to be super long, but i just found that i didn't really have like a effortless like on the go type of wig like if I'M running my errands and um, you know i didn't really want to have my 30 inch swinging like as i'm in the grocery store just getting everything and in my way, or anything like that, so this is like more so for my everyday type of wear. Wigs um, so i want it to be shorter, because 18 is still pretty long. I want it to be shorter and i want to just be a simple color and i wanted it to just be perfect and ready to go. So if you're looking for a length that is, you know manageable, i definitely suggest an 18 inch and lower max, i would say, is 20 inch. Um 20 inch for me would probably hit around like my booby area, so yeah and i managed after putting on my gloves. One of my hands did not get any dye on it, but this is the hand i got all the dye the right hand. Let'S get into the install, so i already went ahead and i applied my wig cap. I got this wig cap from the wig store and if you guys have watched my hair videos before you know, i am an avid person of telling you to buy the wig caps before you need them. So i had this in the drawer at my house. I didn't have to go to a hair store, which was perfect. I just applied it with gots to be spray if you guys want a detailed video on that. Definitely let me know, but i have videos up on my channel on how i do that already um a look at what this hair is giving. First of all, it is all jet black and beautiful. I love that, but look at this scalp look at it. It'S not even glued down yet, and it's already giving scalp that's the plus of bleaching, your knots. So i'm going to go ahead and i just cut the hair in the front. Just so, i can see um and it's not hitting my lips because it was getting irritating and just pulling the wig down just to see where i actually want it to lay on my hairline. I actually like to pull my wig a little bit further um on my hairline and i have a big forehead. So it gives me a lot of space to actually apply the wig and look. Oh. I am so impressed i'm so proud and impressed if you follow the steps i did in this video. You can get this exact. Look i'm going to go ahead and grab some of my favorite clips from eap heat. These are going to be super helpful when just pulling the hair out of my face, so i can actually see where i'm going to be applying this wig. I'M sorry, i got a little tongue tie, so i'm just going to apply those clips just to secure it. On my head and i'm pulling the wig down just to see where i actually want it to lay i'm obsessed with what it's giving right now, it's just giving me everything that i need - and i am literally in love, um so right here, i'm kind of deciding Like what am i going to do, how do i want to apply it, but i decided to go with the bold hold liquid gold. This is a glueless method to applying your wigs. If you guys know on this channel, i do not use wig glue. It really broke me out really really bad when i did use it and it's more of a mess, so i typically go for the goth to be spray method or i go for this. Bold hold liquid gold. I really do like this, because it is very similar to the um glueless method, where you usually got to be spray, but i feel, like this lasts a little bit longer. It kind of is a wig blue feel, but make it glueless. I'M obsessed, it was really affordable. I got this from the hair diagram um on instagram and it is a black owned business. So definitely support if you're in the market, for something that's a little bit stronger than the gots to be spray, but you can also remove it with water um. The cleanup for this is a really really simple. I just run my wig under water and the glue comes out because not really glue. I don't know exactly what it is, but it's not glue, but it ain't just gots to be um, it's kind of like the gossipy gel, but like a stronger hole. I don't know i love it so now, i'm just going ahead, i'm just going to push back the baby hairs that i created, and just so i can actually see and just push the hair and push the glue and the lace onto my scalp um. As i'm doing this, i'm just kind of pressing um the glue in the lace, so i can really get a nice melt grab. My comb combing out any glue that might be stuck in the hair and yeah. This process is pretty easy as well. Don'T be scared and don't be afraid to cut some lace off. Sometimes the lace needs to be cut off and i used to be so afraid. Sometimes when i had my lace like i didn't want to cut it off, but cutting it off, cutting the lace off. Can be good as well, so i'm grabbing my blow dryer. This is just like my rinky dink blow dryer um. It still works. I do have an eap heat blow, dryer that i'll probably use in my next video. I just didn't. Have it handy right now, um? So i'm just blow drying that on warm and i did miss a spot. So i'm going back in with that bold hold liquid gold and kind of spreading it out with my comb and applying it with the blow dryer on a warm first and then i'm gon na go on cool once it is actually dried down. So, to cut off my lace, i am gon na grab my lara lifestyle scissors as well as a i. I think, i'm going to call it like a razor, a handheld razor yeah. I got it from the hair store. My lower lifestyle scissors can be used for cutting off. Lace can use for cutting trimming your eyelashes, i just love them because they're small and they can get into small places. So i am going to be cutting off some of the lace with this razor and i go in jagged motions just so it can look really really natural on the hairline. You don't want to cut anything straight or it's going to be very, very noticeable on your hairline. Definitely try to get a more rigid and ragged um. Let me show you how i get a more rigid and raggedy lace, removal, i'm trying to say i don't know. I'M not sure, but yes, i'm just going in and i am going to be trimming off that lace being very careful to not cut my skin um yeah, be very careful. Don'T cut your skin! Take your time to trim off that lace. So do so once the lace is trimmed off. I do go ahead and wrap my hair with the snob life elastic band. I love this band, especially when i'm working out, because it saves my lace from sliding off and i grab my eap heat hot tools. Hot comb and i go ahead and i grab some my cara care wax stick to just really give the lace and the hair a really polished. Like almost like, i got a perm, it's the first day of school and i got a perm um. That type of look um, i feel like the caracara wax stick, does a really good job of giving that professional. Looking you know, shiny instagram, hair stylist, look to your wig, so i'm just going ahead and just running my hot comb. I have the hot comb on 450 um, which i love, because it gets straight to the point and it gets really really hot. So i'm just pressing out the front of the hair being very careful that wax it gets it real hot. So i'm just being very, very cautious when i'm applying it because the lace is like perfect, it's thin, it's tweezed out, so just want to be careful. Now, i'm going in and i'm just going to create my baby hairs um using the eap heat. This is their thin curler um. I don't know what it's actually called, but it is a very thin curl. It'S i'm going to be using it to create my baby hairs and just curling the hairs first um with that eap, heat, curler and um. There'S no real motion to really curl it. No, like you can curl it inward. You can curl it outward as long as you get that hair and twist it and curl it um. I find that either way works. I tried both ways, so i just go ahead and i curl all of my baby hairs that i want. I just curl them up, because i find that this works wonders wonders for creating really bomb curls on your lace. Next, i'm going in my nairobi rapid, shine, foaming lotion. I like this nairobi because um it doesn't have any alcohol. I find that when i used other mousses like before, you know it like my lace would be lifting, especially when i had to use wig glue. So i've been using nairobi for a while now and i really really like what she does um i feel like you know you can use her many different ways, so i'm just using her as a mousse to just really make sure that my edges are laid down And my baby hairs look really good, i'm not a hair, stylist expert. I do my hair myself and i love how i do my hair, so this will works for me um if you guys have any suggestions about how to do baby hairs and things like that. Definitely drop them in the comment section down below or make a video and drop the link and i'll definitely check it out, um, but yeah. This still works for me and i'd be liking. How my hair looks - and i get a lot of compliments on how my hair looks and how realistic the wig looks thanks to snob life's hair. So this is what i do and i like it and yeah um, definitely working on baby hairs, because baby hairs definitely take a lot of practice. This baby, hair brush that i have is from a um company. I think it's called. I can't remember the name of the company, but they literally make these brushes. That are, triangle shaped and there's like a harder comb on the back and then there's bristles um on the other side and there's that small pointy end. That makes it really good to create your baby hairs with. So i really do i like this brush. It'S not your regular, like you know, toothbrush or edge brush, i like the shape of it and the density of the hairs on the brush. So i grabbed some more of the foaming lotion a little bit that i have left and now i press my hair out again. This gives it a really shiny, look and also because the nairobi foaming lotion is kind of hot um. This is like very hot. I had to be very, very careful, so i tied the rest of my baby hairs down using my snob life elastic band. You can also grab some wrapping paper, let's get into the styling, so i got my eap heat. This is a deming brush. I am just going to be combing out my hair and just removing any tangle that they might have happened when i was doing that process. I did get a little bit of dye on the middle part of my wig and i'm kind of annoyed by that, because otherwise it would be a straight part, but you guys do notice that dot. That'S in the center yeah just a little mistake, but it's okay. Do better than me and just make sure you don't get any color on your wig. I was watching something on youtube and it was interesting, obviously huh, because i'm literally like staring at the screen like what was going on. What'S t focus so i'm just defining my middle part using the eap home again, it is set to 450.. The good thing about this hot comb is once it recognizes that you're not using it. It does shut off automatically, which is a really good safety hazard precaution that i don't always find in other hot tools, and i love the fact that this actually does that. So i'm just grabbing some of my holding spray just to make sure that all my flyaways are gone. That was from gots to be um. I grabbed this razor comb from the hair store the other day. I think it was about three dollars and this works wonders if you're trying to create layers in your wig again. I wanted this wig to be a very much on the go. You know effortless, and i find that whenever you layer, your hair and you apply curls like it just looks so good, like you know how alonso does his hair with the the curls and the layers like it's just so yummy and delicious. So i do a little bit of layers, nothing too crazy and i am going to just press out my hair using my eap heat 1 and 1 4 inch hot. What is this called? Af heat. 1. 1. 4 inch flat iron. I'Ve been talking so much girl, but this is the ming xeav heat collaboration. If you guys didn't see it, i was actually in that campaign and i am really excited because this this hot comb is super super hot. You can literally see the smoke coming from it. I do have a set to 450, but it gives a really good press like you only need to go through the hair one time and that saves so much time. Like think about it. I can tell you the last time that i've used a hot comb. That was, you know not like this. Like back when i was growing up, there was definitely times where i would have to wait forever, kept pressing, pressing out the hair to give a really good press this does it in one single swipe. I am obsessed with this. So i start off using this ming eap, heat collaboration iron. I love the fact that it's pink it's gorgeous and this strand i was like wait. I like this little curl. Let me curl the rest of the hair, so i really decide that i want to curl the hair and i love the fact that this iron gives you the flexibility you don't just have to straighten out the hair. You can also give it a nice press, and i find that it does a really good rotation when i am curling it like. The hair doesn't get stuck um and it's just very versatile. This is a really good investment. I mean it also has titanium plates which are really really good when applying it on your hair, and you can also use it on your natural hair. It'S natural, hair, safe, okay, so definitely try it out. I love eap heat. Their products are really really good and they're of quality, so i'm just going to go through now and just create curls, because now that i have one curl going, i'm like i want to curl the whole entire hair. I want this to be a curled hair. Look so i like this because you don't have to press the hair out first and then you know then curl it. You literally can just curl the hair up like i did here and you're good to go. So i'm going to go ahead and curl up the other side of my hair, using the same technique that i used before and yeah. I hope that you guys are still with me if you guys are with me right now, definitely thumbs up this video and drop a secret emoji. Let'S drop a fire emoji if you made it this far. So now i grab my demo brush and i'm just combing out the hairs. This hair is so fluffy. Oh my gosh, it's so fluffy! It'S like literally a dream. It feels so good. Look at this. I am so happy. I love it. Look at the scalp look at the scalp, it's beautiful! It'S flowy, it's jet black, i'm in love with this. It is amazing like what i know. I'M not looking like so like happy about it in the video, but i'm ecstatic i'm ecstatic my resting face is really bad, but i am really super super happy um and i really hope that this video does help you on your journey to really slaying your wigs, Because i know it is a really big concern a lot of times i come across people they're, like my wigs, don't be giving that and i'm like it takes a lot to get your wig to really look really good, especially if you're not going to the stylist. So some some tips that i would give if you are looking to get into the wig industry, i would say to start off with the closure that way you can get more comfortable with it um and then, if you are going to actually get it done at A professional i would say, to go to a professional and get your hair styled if you are not going to do those two things and want to try it yourself, using the steps that i did in this video, i would suggest that you bleach the knots. Do a little bit plucking in practice. Um practicing is key and getting a really good lace, like the reason why this lace looks so good is because it's a hd wig from snob life. Different vendors are going to have different quality of wig styles. So definitely get a great quality lace, wig that is going to last you and is going to come out looking this good, because some wigs don't be given that and it's not even your fault, it's just the fact that the lace might be too thick or it Might be a different color and you might you know you might have to tint the lace like there's so many different ways to get your wig to slay and getting the right wig is one of them.
