Hey so this is ID, and today I'm coming down here to show you guys how to customize your silk based closure, and I first got my closure. It was kind of a light color. It didn't match my dark skin, so I'm going to show you guys an easy ways to customize yourself. So what I'm going to do? This really easy is using any semi-permanent hair color. You want to get something that's like around some iconic color or anything that will match to your skin tone. So what you want to do is get a glass bulb or any type of ball and fill it up with hot hot water. And what you want to do is squeeze some of that semi permanent hair color in there, and then you want to mix it up with a spoon until all the color has blended well with the water and then you're going to test the color. With a shirt of paper towel now the first time in our getting my color wasn't dark enough, as you guys can see it's kind of a light light color idea. It was adds more of this in my permanent hair color and I got you there like a lot more and then I'm sit up, and then I tested again with my paper towel strip and it looked Brown and looked on so looks like my Scout color. I set my soup base closure in the water for about an hour and when I came back and check it is still hat is not dark enough. So I let it sit for another hour and when I took it out, it was pretty much perfect and match. My skin so well, so the only downside to using this semi permanent hair color is that if you watch the closure too much, the color could actually come on, but I really like using that just in case you make a mistake or whatever the case may be. My silk base closer it's from closer store. I really like this closer because it has a really nice natural density. They also have that little strip of lace. It was actually bigger, but I'll cut it down smaller, and this is just a full leave that I made it doesn't have any homes or clips. This has the elastic band, so I just have my real hair and a braid in the back, and I'm just going to pull that up. I'M going to apply a stocking cap. The next one is pop on your wig real easy. So this is how it's looking at my hairline. I that you guys know I don't wear my like that, but it looks really nice and natural. Doesn'T she we want to do, but, as always, I like to take a little bit of my edges out just to give me a more natural look, I'm still going to add a little bit of eyeshadow just so it's a blend more just apply the eyeshadow right With a lace and your natural hair needs, so this is how it's still closure looks. It looks super natural and matches the density of my hair really well, and I would love how flat lays I have that little problem in the past with silk base closures. Just not blending properly and looking really fast, I'm realistic, but this one looks so realistic, I'm not just in love with it. My hair is from her company calm and this is the Brazilian national wave, and this is how it looks and I can't color this hair to be look like, so I hope you guys can kind of see it. It'S not really bright. I will turn up my light, so you can see so you might be not too short, and this hair is 24 inches long. CookingWithCarolyn: Hey Ivy, try the Sally Hansen's Airbrush Legs on your next silk base closure. Part the hair and brush it directly on the top of the closure and let it sit until it gets to the desired color. Wash it out and the best part is it doesn't stain the hair. Every since I saw Nishamonae do it I haven't looked back.

I'm dark skinned and the closure I have at the moment looks has though it has a red undertone to it and appears almost pink against the colour of my scalp. My scalp has more of a yellow undertone. Would your method work even though my silkbase closure is already dyed?

thedivaisin: Rit dye works better and if you make it too dark you can do a dip in a weak bleach bath and that will back off the color.
