Wig Review Editor'S Pick By Raquel Welch In The Color Golden Russet

In this video, I share my thoughts on the wig Editor's Pick by Raquel Welch in the color Golden Russet.

Hey guys welcome back to my channel today I am wearing editor's pick by Raquel Welch in the color golden russet. So let's get started. Editor'S pick is a above the shoulder tousled wavy layered trendy hairstyle, it's guy! I'M a bang kind of it's got some shorter pieces up here. They kind of help with the whole styling of it all. When I first started wearing wigs in July - and I was binge watching wig reviews like I got like cramped arm and neck from holding my iPad for so many hours watching wig reviews and now remember thinking - I didn't really know what wig reviews were. I I was brand new to the whole thing. I kind of thought. I didn't realize that editors pick was the name of the wig. I thought it was like. The wig had been picked for something like it was the like the award name. The editor had picked. This wig, I didn't really get it. I thought all wigs were named like female Nate. When this one came - and it was editors pick - I was like, oh what editor, who who picked it anyway now I know this is the name of the wig and I loved it and I loved it back. Then everybody was reviewing this wig and it looked good on everybody. I loved it. I longed for it, but it was way more money than I wanted to spend when I was first buying wigs, so Phil pretty excited that I purchased this wig not quite a month ago, and I was so excited the day that I got it because I've been Working my way up kind of the wig ladder just kind of getting a little bit more expensive and yes, I have definitely been given some wigs to review that are a higher price point than then. Maybe even I was comfortable buying at the time when I bought this one. I was so excited because a lot of it was because I remember that feeling back in July when I kept seeing this and it was so pretty. But it was just a little bit out of my reach at the time I actually have video of when I first took it out of the box, and then my excitement was so contagious that my husband was like you know what is it and he it was Like you have to video me and this, you have to take a video right away and so we're like outside it's straight out of the box. I think it still even has the zigzag I'm gon na plug it in here, but I was so excited, and a lot of it is is. Are those feelings of how I felt about the wig and I just finally felt like? Oh, I got that wig that I wanted so bad in the beginning, and I finally have it like all the Raquel Welch wigs. I love this cap. It'S no different. It is their memory cap, which is a thinner, stretchier cap that that molds to your head and the more you wear it the longer you wear it, it kind of starts to form to your head. So you know what I am noticing about. That is, I feel like. I need to be more particular on the mannequin head that I have these memory caps on I'm noticing this one. The laces want to stick up on me and I think that's because I have it on a Styrofoam head, that's smaller than my head. So the way it sits and then it gets on my head - and it's still like that, which you would think it would just stretch out over my forehead and it does like, as it sits on my head. So longer it sits on my head and the more it warms out. It does stretch out over my head, so the memory cap just allows it to stretch and mold to your head a little bit better and and remember the shape of your head. Evidently, a little bit better than other wig caps. Okay. So besides this memory cap, it also has a temple to Temple. Lace-Front the velvet covered great ear tabs with the metal stays the velvet covered extended, nape the velcro adjusters, it's just a great cap. I absolutely love Raquel Welch caps. They are so comfortable, so the measurements on editors pick. Okay, it's another one of those layered hairdos. It says the front is about four and a half inches. I'M not even gon na try to pick out the hairs that I think are four and a half inches. There are so many layers and there's like a funky bang Fang here that totally works. You know when I saw on everybody else, didn't look weird at all and then I got it and I started playing with it and I was like I wonder what the thought was behind this, like it's just kind of this weird bang thing, but it works. I think it's, you know you got to have it to get that lift yeah anyway, so somewhere in the front it's about 4 and 1/2, the crown is 10 and a quarter. The sides says nine and a quarter says the back is eight and the nape is six and a half. I didn't measure this on my head from from crown too, but down to the bottom of it, but with all those measurements said, my face is seven and a half inches and then my neck is like two and a half or three, and this sits. It doesn't touch my shoulders when I'm just standing normal, maybe just grazes it every once in a while, even with all the measurements you know by looking at me, I'm seven and a half two and a half or three, you know nine ten inches. This is how it sits on me, so you can kind of get an idea. Take your measurements and then you'll know I'm how it sits on you. Although my head circumference is 22 and a half inches, and that makes a difference too, especially with these layered curly hairdos, because this same amount of hair, if you have a petite face, it might hang a little bit longer on you because it doesn't have to cover, As much head make sense, this color golden resset - I love it. I did a comparison I believe is in my miles of Styles, video where I talked about. If glazed strawberry is a little bit too blonde, then golden russet might be a good choice, because golden russet is just a little bit more caramel II. Looking I thought, glazed strawberry was going to be my Raquel Welch color, and then I got golden russet. I was like oh my gosh, going back to the day that I got it. If you follow me on Instagram, I mean I took like 20 pictures of it and I think I posted all of them. I know I posted like 9 or 10 of them, because I never do that. I'M very organized with my Instagram account and I always post three pictures and keep it very tidy. But when I got this one I was like. Oh my gosh, like styling it and taking all kinds of pictures and running around a different light. I was so excited. It was all over Instagram because I loved it and I loved this color and I still do. But then I got glaze cinnamon and I got ta tell you that glaze cinnamon is a pretty red, really pretty red and I will take this in different lights and and we'll get a close-up look on this color. But the color code is our 2925, and so what I've learned about Raquel Welch color codes is that 29 is like their red blend. It'S like all the reds are 29 and then the 25 is golden blonde. In that I mean it really is so similar to that glazed strawberry, except it's it's more caramel, it's just a little bit darker, but this color with this wig and all the texture and the wave and the layers. Oh my gosh. The combination of the two just makes for a beautiful wig, the hair fibers in editors pick. This is heat friendly and I've got this in my hand, because just get it out here where you can see it, I started noticing that any time I would see designers like messing with wigs on people in the videos they oftentimes we're using one of these, not A wide tooth comb - and so I started playing around with this and for my heat, defiant wigs. This is pretty much what I use now, because the biggest problem that I have with heat defiant, wigs and if you go back and look at my maximum impact, wig you'll, see I tore that wig because can't keep my hands off of it. And what happens? Is you stretch those hair fibers out and then, when they bounce back they're, all coiled and Radhi and you get a whole bunch of those together and you've got a mess and I have a mess, and somebody asked I said in that maximum impact video that I Was going to steam it and still haven't done that I soaked it in fabric softener after that video, but I haven't got the steamer out yet I've been so lazy about that. I need to do that already. I'Ve played with this wig quite a bit, and a lot of it is the the length of it cuz. I I'm not running my fingers through it like I was with maximum impact. I mean if you watched that video at the end. I am like tossing this hair and raking my fingers through it. I'M sure all this seasoned wig wears we're just watching that video going stopped, but I couldn't okay, so I started using this and so you're able to just kind of pick through it and it just glides right right through the problem with using my fingers, I'm using That white tooth comb is that, especially with the wide toothed comb, the hair fibers can get caught in between times the the teeth this it can't it just glides right through and now. If I hit a tangle, I try not to go. You know pull through a real hard, but you can just kind of pick it I'm not doing a great job right now, because I can't really see what I'm doing. The other thing I like is that if you want to get a little lift, you can just kind of poke. You know put that through and get a little lift. That way you know the other thing. I'M learning is the the more you can keep your hands off your wigs, the better because those oils from your hands are. You know what caused a lot of problems on wigs cuz I get dirty and and then they get clumpy and then you mess with them. More, this is coming real handy. This is what I'm gon na be using on my heat friendly wigs. Besides the fact that it's heat friendly and I think it kind of goes with being heat friendly, it's a dryer fiber. There is quite a bit of permit ease in this wig. It'S not, it doesn't show that's it's not heavy. It'S thicker, you know like around the top. It'S not there's not too much in the back along the sides and along the top. You can feel it and and right in here you can feel it, but it's just enough. It'S well done it's just enough to give it the lift in the style and support those layers to to keep this style. When I first got this - and I put it on the and this happens anytime - I get a new little bit more expensive wig. I think to myself what is this comparable to of my first wigs of my lower priced wigs like what would this replace and in my wig wardrobe brave, the wave came to mind now they're very different, but I'm gon na put on brave the wave and I'm Gon na show you what I mean: okay, this is my brave the way right away. Putting this on brave, the wave is heavier and I don't have the measurements and the weight with me I'll put those up on the screen, so we can kind of compare editors. Pick and brave the wave - this is a glaze strawberry by the way. So to me, the reason why these are comparable, besides the above the shoulder the curly, the layered, the off the face brave the wave - and I have a video on brave the wave. I really should just redo it. It was the very first video that I made and it's so dark and all over the place. I really should do this wig some justice and make another video, but I'll talk about a little bit right now. It'S lace front, mono part. Otherwise it's that great Raquel Welch cap, the the great ear tabs extended nape, velcro, adjusters, really comfortable cap. It has a completely different curl pattern than editors pick brave the wave and are the bigger barrel curls. I feel like editors pick. It'S kind of a trendy or updated version of brave the wave. I don't think it is fashioned after brave the wave. I don't think they were made to be sister wigs in any way. One of the main things that sets it apart is that brave the wave stays heavy toward the end. Where editors pick it's it's just that more updated like the waves that get broken down here and they did they hang. It looks thinner brave. The wave stays heavy throughout like you're gon na get volume up here, but you're still gon na have a lot of volume and a lot of weight down. Here. I think editors pic looks more natural in that way because of the how it gets thinner towards the end. There'S just a lot of weight down here with brave the way I love brave, the wave and if you do go back and watch that first video, I say right at the beginning. This is my new favorite and it was at the time - and I still really liked it and I still grabbed for it, because this glazed strawberry color, I can wear with or without makeup, I'm just really comfortable in it, but brave the wave. It'S a big wig. It'S a fully styled wig editor's pick is not replacing brave the way for me, but I just wanted to bring it out and compare it. Also, these two colors and I'll do outside side-by-side of those two they're very similar you'll, just be able to see the more caramel color of editor's pick. Okay, I'm outside. I can't even tell what I can see. I can't see my monitor cuz, it's so bright. So it's about 2 o'clock, so we've got the Sun coming from this way. Hopefully you can see it. Hopefully it's focused on me this time it wasn't really focused on me last time. You can really see that color, it's pretty it's so cold. Where I live right now, you guys, I can't believe, I'm standing outside in a barefoot. Just so you know, but hopefully you can see it, and hopefully it's focus. Okay, I'm coming in okay guys. So I talked about the measurements I talked about the cap and the color and the hair fibers and the permit ease my overall feelings. Are I love this wig? It is one that I reach for often I just think it's a classy stylish. It goes with every occasion it can be worn with makeup without makeup. I feel like it looks good on every face, shape and the color this this golden russet, it's just gorgeous and if you tend to go more toward blonder colors in the summer, this is gon na, be a really pretty color. Okay guys. So this has been Raquel. Julie Rosser: love your enthusiasm! Editors Pick was my first Rachel welch wig and I have found that shaded cappuccino is my color. Being a brunette and going grey fairly quickly so I am trying to ease into the blondes. Editors pick seems to be a bit wild for me as mine is a bit flat and thin its just a lot of hair on me. I am getting used to this curl pattern but I do get lots of compliments. I just purchased the same color in the upstage which I cannot wait to try. good job on your wig review.

Sharon L: So glad to have found this video! I can completely relate with the obsession of being a new wig wearer and watching a hundred reviews or so! My poor hand. I have my first wig, Sky by Noriko, and 3 more wigs on the way I already know at least one will be going back though. Thank you for the awesome review! You are darling ❤️ I need this wig in my life!!

Eileen Davinroy: Stacy, a perfect review! I love it on you! And that color ♥️! Editors Pick was my first and still favorite wig. I have it in 14/22SS Shaded Wheat. Since I wear bangs, those short pieces in the front make the perfect bangs for me. I am amazed, though how easily they are styled back or down. I have noticed it getting dry on the ends and I will adopt your rat tail combing technique. Thank you...for your upbeat enthusiasm for wig wearing! You make me smile ☺️

Lisa Peters: This is my all time favorite wig! I’ve purchased 5 Editors Picks in the last 18 months. Just really really wish it wore better and lasted longer. I’ve begun trimming the back that gets sooo tangled and leaving the sides so it forms more of an inverted bob- I really love it like that plus you can get lots more wear!

H Roche: Thank you so much for your review! I also have Brave the Wave in Glazed Strawberry and Maximum Impact in Golden Russet...and now, because of your review, I'm going to get Editors Pick in this color!!! You really have the sweetest personality and are such a delight!

Deborah Cook: Thank you for showing the color outside. Sometimes it is difficult to determine what a color will really look like. I usually purchase a cool blonde. Those are as difficult as the reds. But you make me want to try the reds. Haven’t taken the plunge yet, but very close. Would love to see “Big Time” on you or a similar style.

Deborah Luongo: Wow wow wow is all I can say what a stunning wig on you Stacy! The colors are so beautiful and vibrant outside. Really get the tones and the notes of that wig in daylight. It is more helpful than you will ever ever know when you see it into daylight. Sorry your cold :-( you and your husband are an adorable couple just saying :-) great review Stacy you are right up there with the professionals.

Nancy Farias: Get outta my head! Being a newbie on wigs I thought the same thing. You look so good in all your wigs. You definitely know your style and color. I hope I can find that for me too. Excited to get my wig from Jon Renau tomorrow. I have searched and researched and watched hundreds of videos so hopefully I made the right choice. Wish your style and color would be the same for me then I could just order what you order and that would make it so easy to know I am getting what is right for me. But, I will continue to follow you because you are just so relatable.

MoodyGirl Beauty: I want this one so bad!! Absolutely gorgeous

M M: I was waiting and waiting for this review bc we had spoken about it before, I said I felt it had too much permatease for me;felt like helmet hair...lol. You were very excited about it, so now I see why. It just looks different on you. Better. I have in same color but was my very first wig,and I am a natural blonde.I think I was in shock bc I always had natural curly hair and as u know wigs are very different. The permatease was just too much for me and honestly I don’t feel comfortable with the bang area. When I pull it back in clip to try to “hide” the bang or blend it by incorporating into top style, off the face styling makes it look less realistic on me bc of the way it sticks straight up.I actually like brave the wave on u as much as EP, but see what ur saying about density at bottom. If EP had the top /front of brave the wave it would be perfect(my opinion).I still have it, and will wear it again...just not one of my fav styles for myself. I love every single review that you do,love ur energy and positive take on every review.I watch every day waiting for ur next video to come out. Thanks for sharing.

Patinkular: I love ❤️ when U compare to other wigs and COLORS! I love to see colors outside, but dress warmly darling. Happy Valentines day to you all

StayNYourLane: HAHAHA Stacy! You are so cute! Editors Pick! Woooooo! What editor picked this wig! This looks great on you!!1 I love these ends of this wig. Kinda chunky edges. You look amazing! Love love love this one YOU!

Jaci Fertik: This is the one wig that looks good onALL young and old its the top thats layered on top not hanging in your face that has to be trained love this one

TAZS WIG CLOSET AT WIGSTUDIO1: It’s flipping gorgeous!! Funny! I can’t count the number of times I got a message on my Editors Pick review asking me “ what’s the name of the wig?”... I respond “it’s Editors Pick”... “yeah, but what’s the name?” Its so hilarious! Very cute style..love it TAZ

Patinkular: Thank U for a fun review Stacy! Great tip on a pick thingy

Lonnie C: I have 3 Editors Pick wigs. 2 in Shaded Bisquit,1 in Iced Pumpkin . love them

Barnboxflorals: love this one, im new at wigs, but when I purchased one sent it back ...way curlier than I wanted and so so shiney wiggy loooking. Gabor sweet talk lace front. and seems alot of reviews show blonds and they are not seeming as shiney. help

Wigs, The Real Scoop with MichelePearl: The wig ladder. Well said!

Wigs, The Real Scoop with MichelePearl: Best caps ever! Looks gorge!!!

Suzy Woozy: Looks great! Enjoy ❤️

Wigs, The Real Scoop with MichelePearl: I got it on clearance. Disaster. lol The curl pattern and permatease in all the wrong places. I steamed the entire wig and restyled it. Simmer by RW was perfect. This Editor’s Pick is so top heavy I feel like I have a helmut on.

henrietta henson: I can go one better,,, I still think it's editors pick... even after you have explained this looks lovely on you ...love that length I'm binge watching wig reviews just cause. it's my hobby now @ I love it happy valentine's ❤️

Robb Endicott-Powers: OMG.............You need to be the poster girl for this piece.......I have not seen anyone rock this wig like you can.......for a new wig wearer......you style these to make them look so real!!! Yes everybody is wearing them....but you are the star. I have used this piece for a few ladies in grey......so real!!

Judy Hansel: I’m a little late to the party but this looks fab on you could you tell me if you used product on this wig? Just received my Editors Pick and it doesn’t seem as full. Also, could you take us straight from unboxing and show us what you do. Thanks so much!

Lynda Bowen: What styling products do you recommend?

vascoe myer: Fabric softener can damage synthetic wig fibres. Use product designed for synthetic fibres, e.g., the Jon Renau range or similar.

M. Smith: It is gorgeous and well worth the investment. Your head circumference being 22-1/2 - What size are u wearing? That would Be a large with most wigs. Great detailed information.

Jaci Fertik: Will you ever do a review on RW Spotlight and Henry Margu Harper they are on my list

Monika's Beauty & Lifestyle: I think she looks wonderful on you. I have long admired her but wondered if she would be too full around my face.

openyoureyes: Your wig isn't laying right in the front bang front area. Maybe you are not combing it right? Try parting it on whichever side you usually part your hair on..then comb it down like an "S" wave and do that on both sides of the part. You should see a much softer look in the front.

Makeuphairjunkieover40: Do you like this wig better than Mia by TressAllure in the color Sunset Glow? They are both gorgeous, but a big price difference.

Karen Mitchell: Does this wig come in different colors?

Robb Endicott-Powers: I tore that wigggg uppp!!! funny

tabasco14: So cute as are you!

vida loca: mine is for sale if anyone is interested average cap in shaded biscuit

Classical Keynote: All talk but no demo !!
