Cosplay How To: Rose Quartz Wig

I got him an anime Boston this year and he's going to be my new video partner, so get used to seeing him because I am gon na be making more videos pretty regularly. Now I got a new apartment and in that apartment is a whole room. Just for my compilation, plus, I turn it into a studio, so lots of stuff coming away. This is just the beginning of a whole new thing. I'M doing I guess so today, I'm going to be teaching you guys how to do. This wig right here rose quartz from Steven universe. Don'T think that you can do this in an hour because it ain't going to happen kids. This was a to do but don't be scared because I think I can do it. You can do it just wanted to point out before we begin that I am in no way a professional or genius at excelling. In fact, I am quite an idiot, but this worked for me, so I figured I'd share with you to start you're going to need two of the same wig. I really wanted the you now core long, curly fluffy healthy, full wigs with bangs for women, synthetic colorful, wig party, costume, cosplay, wigs pink for around 16 dollars on Amazon hook. I know it sounds a little sketchy with a title like that, but I used it for my mystery girl cosplay and fell in love with how comfortable and thick and durable it was so. I decided I needed it for Rose I'll, have a link in the description for you. If you want to use it as well, but any weight should work to your desire unless it's the like Party City wig, because you are going to need a hit resistant wig for my styling method. Anyway. First you'll want to put the wig on a head on a sturdy surface where the hair can flow freely. Make sure you separate your hair because it's super thick, you don't want it to get all tangled together, you're going to need curlers for this. I recommend salon care, snap-on, rollers medium size, not too big or too small perfect for the girls we want and roses look. You can buy them at Sally Beauty for about $ 3 a package but you're going to want at least 3 to 4 packages to be safe. You can use a pack of small curlers to do her face framing curls if you desire and other sizes to add a curl here and there of different consistency won't hurt either. I definitely did that just because laying around snap curlers work, lovely on wigs, no pins needed or anything they're easy to get out to. I haven't tried this weak technique with other curlers or rollers, but if you really want to by all means, go for it have fun. With this take out your first section to get the ball rolling, ha rolling, curlers, I'm funny. I would use butterfly clips to keep any hair out of your immediate way, especially if you have a super thick wig like the one that we're using here, you're going to need a hair straightener. So anything will work, preferably something that can get between 350 and 400. You'Re going to want it super hot, because you're going to want to take about a three-quarter inch to an inch wide section and straighten it with your straightener you're, going to want to strain it until it's basically burning your fingers just holding the hair immediately curl your Hot-Ass, hair in your curler be gentle if you are slow or drop the curl reheat, the Strand. This is important as you won't have curls if the hair is cool when putting them in it'll, basically be useless. So just trust me here. I know it's annoying. If you up a curl or you wait too long, just redo, it it'll come out beautiful. In the end, I had an awkward time when I first started, but it got easier. You can always redo your girls with this heat up temperature. So don't stress you anxiety-filled potatoes. This will take quite a bit of time, but do this around the hold and we get creative put them wherever you feel works have fun with it. No rules unless the hair cools, then you better reheat the damn thing. That'S my only rule you'll occasionally cry out it being hot on your fingers, though, so you know just expect that I mean you can wear gloves. If you really want, but you'll be fine, you can handle it. Also, you don't need pins. I used a few for some extra grab when I first started more out of habit than anything, but I'm dumb, and I really didn't need them. Snap curlers hold on their own. You get the picture I'll see the up for you once you have your hair wig entirely in curlers. All you have to do is wait. If you're super impatient, I think you can hit the curls with a cold setting on a hairdryer for a while as long as you evenly distribute it and make sure the curls are super cool before you take them out. But I didn't try this. It might not come out as even so I just wait. If you can, two hours will do the trick, but I waited a whole day 24 hours later Wow. Look what an idiot I am being an idiot is not a required part of this wig tutorial guys. Although it is encouraged, as you can see, I put them in haphazardly, they look messy it's fine. Most of these curls will be hidden soon anyway. We aren't at that step. Yet, though, now to start taking out your curlers, be as gentle as you can, some will cause you. Some grief just do your best. It'S okay! If somewhere Jang KS see she's Purdy, but we ain't done yet. Friends touch her up with a comb. I use a super wide tooth phone more like a pic made for thick unruly hair, because wigs are fragile, especially curled ones. Boom. Outfit change, the fun part get out your second wig mine is, of course, the precious baby email core again link in description. I'Ve never had such a thick full fluffy wig. I can't explain this enough, it's so thick and so fluffy. I love it check the inside, where the wefts are sewn in we're going to be doing some snips tips in here. Get ready. Don'T stress, remember if I can do it, you can do it. Basically, we just want to cut the front part of the wig off where the bangs and the like face framing part is double -- triple-check, where you want to cut, because you can't uncut in the cap of your wig, I kind of do about an inch of The cap make sure you cut along where the thicker bands are in the wig cap, where the wefts are sewn in cut just along. It don't cut into it and don't cut too far away from it. You'Ll end up with more of a mess and the leg might not hold together as well. Don'T turn your wig inside out to cut you could cut hairs, you don't want to on accident and it'll take extra time. I have a diagram here of where you should be cutting if you're using a different wig, the cap will most likely be aligned differently. So trust your judgement do your best. This gave me some hella anxiety, since I was in 100 % sure this method was going to work, but it worked perfect. Don'T worry, you're going to feel like Satan cutting up a beautiful ass week, though separate out what you cut carefully. The wig will be a mess for a minute because everything will be sticking together. This is what it should look like. The chunk that you cut off real, pretty yes, smooth your new wig piece thing: curl any share your hairs into the cap, it'll create a clean. Looking little bump use a bobby pin to secure the shape of it. Just on the inside of the cap align the wig piece on top of the first wig, see where you want it to sit into the wig head with a pin so that it'll be stable. In a couple places, if necessary, adding this piece will add a lot of weight. So slipping may happen. If you don't secure it on to your wig, very well get some thread, preferably not a dark, color, pink or white would be best here, but I only had red and blue on hand and the red ended up not showing up get a sewing. Needle put it through make sure you have plenty of thread, it's easier to cut excess than to deal with not having enough not the end. If you have never learned basic sewing, there are many youtube tutorials. If you want to check out one of those tutorials real quick before approaching the step, go ahead now to start sewing, this is easier than it sounds just sew. Your wigs together be careful of poking yourself. Weak hairs will be annoying occasionally, but it'll be fine in the end, make sure you're fully pulling the needle and thread through your top leg cap and not just the hairs and your original wig cap it'll be a bit awkward to maneuver. But you got this, you don't need to be precise about where you're selling, like you would. If this were clothing, you just need them to securely connect so that the top leg piece isn't going to be falling off while you're at it con surprise a lollipop in my mouth now, smooth it out, fix any areas I got disrupted or whatever just make it Pretty now do a bit of teasing just on the first layer near the crown of the top wig piece. Don'T overdo it use some got to be hairspray to hold the shape. Do some the lesson you can make it more smooth? If you like, I imagined roses. You did the first time that you'd like, for example, if any of them became loose or any of them weren't as bouncy as you'd like redo them, now give the wig a quick spray and wait at least two hours.
