Hi everybody i'm rochelle with godiva's secret wigs, and i am so so happy today to introduce you to one of my very dearest best friends. This is debra hi, deborah hello, and i have coerced her into working with me on a video and today we are going to talk all about champagne, champagne color, oh my god. I think i've been making danielle crazy because you know me. I live in nutmeg f and i love it and this is nutmeg and this is katie debra's wearing katie in nutmeg f, but i walked in in some wigs i'm going to show you today. I went into deborah's home yesterday and we started playing only talking about champagne, color and didn't we flip. It was wild, it was wild, so i put them on her on me, and so today we are doing champagne. Okay, so watch what's going to happen and my husband loved it right ralph went worrying, he did ralph was there. I thought it was going to be way too blonde for him, but he loved it right. He wanted to know if i was going to a bar - and i said no have i been to one recently. I knew that is so. Maybe some leather, maybe some leather yeah - it was really fun. He had a great time: okay, so and i've known deborah how many years 30, 40, 40, 40 yeah 40 years over 40 years. It'S your familiar and you lived in california. We worked at judy's together way way back when and we were dancing buddies and she was even a bridesmaid for me, so hey, but how many wigs do you have debra? Let'S just i got ta ask you probably 25 25, but no champagne, no champagne! No champagne! I can't believe it. I need champagne, okay, so deborah typically wears about shoulder length. She wears enough shorter right. She wears nutmeg f, she goes longer but has never gone shorter. So i'm going to show you the first wig on her, though, even though she looks great. In short, i wear them all. Okay, you ready. Yes, let's go alrighty, so i'm putting this over, throwing that wig. So this wig is kelly and it is dramatic on debra. You haven't known her as long as i have, but she only goes long, but look at the height on kelly is so amazing. It is so. Would you wear it in front of your ears or i think yesterday we were playing and i was putting a little behind so you can show your gorgeous earrings, because i know you like that. So what do you think? Because it's just so stylish yeah? It is stylish it's chic, but it's fun, it's not what i think of as the menopause bob that's what i've always been fearful of, even though i'm way beyond that still, i feel like this is like what i would, if i'm going to do a short hair. This is what i would do, it's messy, isn't it and edgy it is it's edgy right. You know what dawned on me and why we started talking and i've been dreaming about champagne. Is i'm not ready to go gray? A lot of you say? Oh rochelle, you look good great and gray, and i like it too, but my husband and i i'm not ready, i'm just not ready so champagne. Is that softer it's like a little step towards going uh a little more. I don't even want to say senior because both of us i mean we are seniors, don't say it, but i don't like that senior. I don't like it yeah. I don't know seasoned, i'm not sure what the word is, but but champagne is a great way to go a little softer, but it's edgy, especially the cut the cut yeah and the cut yeah. Just the whole thing love it will you turn. Would i feel that way if this was again, i want you to see a brown? No, you would not feel that way. I know i wouldn't feel that way. So it's both it's both yeah. Okay. Is that fun? It'S amazing, oh, and also you know. What else you said is is because i am heavier in my age. My face is fuller right and that some of the wigs that i have, i think, maybe accentuate because i've always had an oval face. But now it looks rounder, so i don't want to have like a bowl cut or something that just or like you were saying something snugger, because if it's not shorter, it's just not as flirty yeah, she's, feminine yeah. So what we were talking about last night - and i'm sure a lot of you are thinking about this - is i'd like to wear my hair. A little shorter, more convenient get a little older, don't want to hassle all that, and i know you have your long, wigs like deborah and i but look how this kelly. It just touches her chin, but it lifts her because the fullness is up here and we need lifting yeah and we have round faces. We all need, but it's amazing how it it kind of changes, the structure of your face. You want something that accentuates your bone structure. I don't have high cheekbones, but i can see that this too is. It has a softening effect. Yes, even though it's edgy it's sophisticated, but i like that. I like this because it just has a softness. I mean i don't want to look like a punk rocker, but i don't like it but, like i said i don't want the the menopause and i just remember growing up my mother. They it's like when they hit 40. They all seem like they went to the same, what they would say, the beauty parlor right and they came out with that poodle. You know they permed their hair suddenly and it was short and there was really no style it just. It was like a bowl yeah and, and they were like 40. deborah, i'm going to blow your mouth yes, so i found this in my nuts okay. This is oh candace in ah champagne, and you know you see how this, if those of you that own canvas, you can see it's a little fuller. I like a little thicker and that's because this candace is about eight years old, i'm not kidding you. I'Ve watched eight years old. I have gotten in some big trouble with this stepper, but would you wear that now i wouldn't wear it now at our age in this length, but what i would do is you could cut it. I would yeah. I would trim a little wispy bang, which i might do on another video just make candace age appropriate and then take it about about right here, yeah and maybe even a little bit shorter right here and you wouldn't lose the little i mean you're going to lose. Some of that wave, but a lot of it, is you like the front part of it. You know how you just love this: it's not even the length right, it's just right how it looks, then you know what yeah. I would like to see what that looks. Like i feel like, i should take a vote. Okay, we're going to switch! What do you think yeah at 66 and be oh, please, 65 66 come on, ladies for this, and you know what and i don't like that too many women they're taking themselves too seriously and okay, i'm going to fix this right now. I wish i had a clip and by the way, deborah wears an average she's petite with small face and head. But what do you use? Do you use a wig grip band? Yes, okay use a wig grip band, so i haven't tightened it to her because it's my wig, but but this could be clipped up and it moves it all away from. You know all in your face and i love the roots showing and if it was cut shorter. So, let's like pretend it was like here and you can get you know deborah and i we're like a lot of you. We want that height and that fullness. So that's a possibility, that's a possibility for you, that's not bad, so i just sprung it on, but you know what i wear candice in silverstone gray and it's so funny because i wear it and no one thinks it's not my hair. We wore to nordstrom yes, and yes did not everybody at the cosmetic. I was completely in your shadow right everybody. It was like, but i talked her into it. I told her: let's go to nordstroms, wear that wig wear that wig and everybody yeah men and women, but but it was literally the color. The color is just saying stunning, but they because you don't see women in that silver with hair longer, and you know even and in the silver stone i felt sexy yeah i so it was the cut, but the color was beautiful. Yes, i mean i wish. I could do that, but i do not look good in gray hair, it's just my coloring yeah we've tried on a great wig and it doesn't look good right so now, and i don't need to do that because i have so many choices that was candice if You'Re gon na give deborah the comments. Yes give me the so now continuing on our champagne journey. This we need champagne. I know i'm trying to lose weight. Forget the champagne so up at the hairline, if you're new, to godiva's secret, wigs, even the tabs and check out jenna, so we like jenna so deborah you play how you god, i love the deep part too, but it doesn't have to go that way. I tell you to play and i can't get my hands off of it. So you play see and that's a nice length, don't you think, that's a good link. I love - and i like this and again, even in my 20s, this would have been difficult for me to reproduce even with more hair. My hair is very fine and it just doesn't want to do styles. Does it always it's just as lit always been. I'Ve always had well yeah i've known a lot 40 years, yeah. No i've always had a lot of hair, but it's fine that, like spidery, which is hard it's i mean if we would go out to get dressed to go someplace. I would plug in my two. Not just one but two hot rollers, and i mean that's how much hair i had and i never know you would tease it like yeah yes to go out with deborah years ago and we would go dancing to dinner. It was two to three hours waiting for miss to get ready. Yes, so uh and i've shortened that in half because of wigs, i spent more time on my hair than i did on makeup. She spends an hour and a half on her makeup. Now i do not. No, i don't. Okay see, i love this. Oh, so isn't this hard yeah? Don'T you feel like flirty, yeah and everything i do. I do i hear you i do i hear that flirty. Okay - let's see so with jenna and remember you know all of our wigs. We don't carry human hair. Ladies, i mean i've been wearing wigs over 45 years and human hair is not convenient. So our business model that we've created at cadiva's secret wigs is about convenience and beauty and ease. So you slap these babies on two minutes to great hair and their wash and wear so you wash it in your sink and we've got videos. We'Ve got 300 videos on our youtube channel, but wash it in your sink shake it. Let it drip dry in the shower and in the morning it dries the way you bought it. So - and i mean it, it's amazing it does it does, and why would we want to set it? That was the whole point. That'S what i would want to get away from right is not being able to leave the house to go to the grocery store. I would put rollers in my hair because it was just too limp and thin. That'S what i do. Yes, this is really pretty yeah see, and this is straight and normally even younger. I love this, and straight was very in. I didn't wear my hair that straight because it just hung it. Just it really didn't do anything. You can't do that. Your hair is fine and you can't do that. You cannot do that. I have a great hairstylist, but there is no way that i can come out of that salon and look the way i do with the wigs. I can't, and she even knows it and she'll say. Like the last time i had my hair cut. She said she goes, so are you going to make it to the car without putting one of your wigs on and i felt kind of bad, it's like, of course, and it's like, but as soon as i got in the car, i did put it on really. Yes, i did yeah, you were so why today yeah i mean well when i leave the house, i were awake only once in a blue moon. If i were running to costco, maybe a medical emergency that would be otherwise i'm i'm with my wigs and i don't think about it, because it's like putting on lipstick, you know, like i wouldn't go out of the house without lipstick. Just like i wouldn't go out without my hair, it's an essential right. I i have an evacuation center in my bathroom downstairs with important papers, medications and at least 20 wigs, which don't take up a lot of room. What? Because i consider that an essential for me. Yes, yes, because i would not want to be without if i have to go to that shelter by gosh. If i can't wash my hair for six days, i can at least have a wig on right. So yes, so i i realized, that's probably out of the box yeah. Maybe some people wouldn't consider that an essential, but but it is yes, it is right and many women. You know some of you you're on the fence about wigs. I get your comments all the time, they're they're saying i don't even want to leave my home anymore. My kids embarrass me in public. They talk about my baby, fine hair, debra they're embarrassed and it's like i want them like come on. Come join us! Yes, like don't take yourself so seriously, have a wardrobe of wigs choose who you want to be in this lifetime, while we're alive have some fun. So you know deborah and i'm conservative, i mean i'm basically a conservative person, but i got on board the minute. I had a wig put on my head. That was it. It was like wow. Finally, i feel like i can look pretty because no matter how much makeup or how many clothes, if you just have hair that that you unhappy with and you don't like you're, just not going to feel complete right, leaving the house right, that's exactly. I say, like other women they're complete from here down yeah, but with our wigs. It'S yes, who do you want to be? Yes in your world, with your co-workers, with your family, with the holidays or whatever? Who do you want to be just be it yes see, and we can clip it, we can clip it. We can put this back, you could pull what's what is this again? This is jenna. Well, i just really like her when you're asking i mean when i name her. It'S like it's like part of the family, yeah, yes, and i what i love about, and i think it's flattering for us and everyone else. The color champagne means it's got the darker roots, so you know my roots are not dark brown. My roots are gray, i don't know about you, but it doesn't matter what color my roots. Are it matters the illusion when i put the wig on so if this was just pale, pale i'd be a little washed out. Don'T you think, and that's what i was concerned about because i have very porcelain, skin and so thinking champagne. It would just completely wash me out, but look i'm i'm a little more tan. I grabbed it off of her head. She did and said. Can i see what it looks like? No i'll show we're going to say what you grabbed off mine? Okay, yes, but this is this is different because she stylized it because i put it on my hair on my head and i was like oh it's really flat because she had done some little tricks. That'S solano, so i'm going gon na show you, okay, we are moving on from jenna to alana, so we can't stay with her too long. Okay, no because you're gon na want her okay, i want to put her on yes, okay, so a lot of you, absolutely love, alana and you've got to see it now in champaign. So i woke up and i was driving danielle crazy, like i need more champagne. Wigs for myself, so i put this on and i wore it to debra a couple days ago and and i flipped out she flipped out so here's alana. Let me see yeah, yes, so i'm not doing any big deal. I had it folded up. So when you put our wigs on they're, just easy, you shake them and play okay, and so what i did uh yeah, i'm gon na show you how alana comes when you get it, because so she put my alana on which i had pumped up a little Bit so deborah says, get me an alana and champagne. I'Ve got to have it and pump it up well, but i didn't pump it up. I made the mistake yeah so here is so so deborah's alana so see. Here'S how alana comes so. Okay, so see. I'M happy with this, but because i i want to have it look like this: she wants it pumped, she doesn't want it flat yeah, and it was so easy for me. So if you get a wig of ours it to your home, you order it and it's just too flat, then, and i'm going to do another video about how to really pump it up. Because a lot of you you're like us, you want to dress a little glamorous and fuller, so very, very easy. But where is my brush here and that you need height? I mean even young. I i had to have height right here and it's not just because i'm short it's just simply, i i look at some of the celebrities or their hair jennifer lopez, and she has a completely slicked back flat. I could never get away. I can't do that anymore. No, i couldn't have done that when i was in my 20s yeah it just doesn't look good look. I just want you to see how a lot - yes, i see - oh see so frosty so we're gon na maybe have to trade, because i don't know if i can pump it up, i will pump it. I will pump it up for you before you leave and ladies and debra here's my little surprise. I don't even remember what we call this, but it's on our website, but if you use it for eyeglasses, what is it depending on what state you're in okay, so clips little clip it clips right, look at here and then it comes around and clips under here. You know what this is for: debra wait! No, where no look! Where did you do the oh down here this? I don't know if it's a chin, strap you'll, see i'm not going down like that. This we offer two brushes for sale. This is more for brushing, but this is for teasing, because the bristles are small okay. So when a wig is brand new, it's slippery. It'S fine, it's kind of like when you just washed your hair and a lot of people. It'S like. I can't do anything with it, so here's what i do this is our keep it there low alcohol, which i hairspray. Okay, so i don't start with a lot, but i start step one online on your hand, not like direct, no because a lot of women, they wear a lot of hairspray on their own, yes, and they think they've got it weights it down yeah right and if You want to go ahead, but over time the wig gets dry. Yes, so i'm putting it where i want to like dirty it up kind of a little bit and then just spritzing it on the root and then i'm holding and teasing down down down so you're spraying first next, yes, but the chin strap is so the wig. Doesn'T come off while i'm styling it well, that's clever! Is that not brilliant now see i just if i have the wig grip or even if i just put some bobby pins, it's not because of course it would fall right off my head right. So the other thing when you use the low alcohol, it's really wet, so i will spritz the wig or spritz, where i want it and then bend down and let it air dry uh-huh and then once it dries kind of like what we've done with our own Hair, where you you flip it over, you know blow drying it right, so see how that just got fuller, yeah, because that's the one that i got. I know i just bought this one. Yes, she brought it over, but i said what happened. I didn't even ask permission, i just dirty yep and if you know, if you don't love it yeah, you won't take it, but i want to show everybody out there, so it's already starting to get a little more lift. Yes, it is, it is so we'll play with it more, but so we are both wearing a lot of bring it here with champagne and see oh yeah. I got ta get this. This yeah get that strap off now. I won't be wearing this out to a dressy dinner like lift our gels or what - and i knew it wouldn't be out here - oh yeah yeah, not that the youngins know about that, but hey, no, so, okay, so all right so should put in a jewel there. Then you may wear it as a necklace, we're gaudy girls, if you haven't figured it out yet that's why i love this debra, so much okay! So next a wig that i don't have in champagne right now, but we love what we felt in love with. It is marina, so this color honey wheat are, it's got roots up at the scalp, so it's close to alana, which i'm still wearing, but you really liked this too, and all these wispies right around the face - and i have to say that i own wigs, but I have colors, they are not all blonde, i mean i've had darker ones. I'Ve had a reddish one, and you know, generally speaking, you probably feel more comfortable with the color. That'S more natural, but actually this color would be closer to what my natural color really is. I'M not naturally a blonde who is these days and half a day we're not sharing that info with anybody, but look at it, but look at that cut. Isn'T it so pretty? Yes, really pretty. I want to just move your jacket just a minute. Let'S get sexy just to see, i want you all to see so look at alana, which is fabulous, but it's more at my chin, yeah marina a little longer but holy mackerel in champagne. Yes, oh it's gorgeous yeah. I think this would just be gorgeous in just about any color yeah. This is a really good cut. I think, and i'm going to turn many, so everybody can see the backs of marina and alana yeah love it. So i don't know what you're going to go for debra i'm going to go for it now use this new wigs. I know that's just it. Yes, i'm just going to be eating hot dogs, it's what can i say but hey so, but even but this color is pretty it is. It is so pretty the honey wheat. It'S got a little warmth to it. Honey wheat is great for a woman, that's been in the medium brown range, maybe she's, never dyed her hair or hasn't ventured out. It'S a little more of a conservative color, but absolutely not that, like that's a bad thing, but it's just it's not real uh, pc and chunky leaves it's subtle. Beautiful, just turn your head a little bit to see. Can you lean in a little bit? These highlights. Are absolutely amazing, so that is marina, deborah and then sabrina? You know what i don't know if she comes in champagne, but we got to put it on you anyway. We didn't try it on. No because i know you hate yourself in gray, you say, but i i want to know what everybody says, especially your: what you're wearing right now, i'm picking up that see so many times. I pick my wig and then i pick the clothes but that doesn't and the color, but it doesn't look really real gray. No, it's very sweet. It'S very, very subtle! This is silver stone. So this is what i would look like yeah, except for it would be dark with just like a few spar. You know that the in between weird gray, where you just want it to look, you know like you're, trying to grow it out. It'S like guys, sure, be happy yeah. No, none of our ways are icky in between no they're all beautiful. What do you think, ladies? What do you think deborah when you look well like to me when you're choosing a wig when you're watching our videos looking at styles or colors, to me something gives me a tickle and it's like? Oh that's, like my soul, wants to be that woman. You know in that wig, so my soul doesn't feel that way in this wig then off it goes okay, but i want you just to show the back of sabrina, because sabrina is a really edgy see that a line. Oh, it's amazing, and this is all not debra. This is the wig right here so anyway, i had to show you that, and i like bangs too yeah, and i don't really have much in the way, wigs with things and especially, and i think too, because we have higher foreheads. So you always feel like if you know, if there's some hair hanging, yes, that it just looks better, do you want that thing? So i want you to see just one more time. I want you to see kelly kelly's the edgy one, the first one that we tried on edgy and for me i would be punking this up. I want it like, i know crazy. I know and you're more conservative than i am and i'm a little more wild, but that's a whole new look for you. It is it is. I don't have anything like this. Nothing like this and ralph loved it right, and i was amazed because this is so divorced from anything yeah and he was just he was cheering it yeah. He liked it. He was, he didn't, leave us, no, he didn't he. He literally hung out the whole time. He sat on the stair and checked it all out and he was enthusiastic and was so funny because she'll put it on and she goes up to ralph baby. Thank you. What do you think about this?
