Next video: how to bleach out red hair to ash blonde https://youtu.be/RWKygpIOlIQ

Today, I'm going to use the blog me bleach and also I'm starting off with 20 volume developer first, so I always use a scale, no matter what so I turn that on and I have it on the grams setting and then I like to put my color Bowl on top - and you see that it weighs just reset that - and the amount of bleach I'm going to be using is about a scoop. I always start with 30 grams, no matter what so that's 27, just add a little bit more and then the ratio that I use is one part bleach and three parts developer. So I'm going to fill this up to 120, which means 90 grams of developer and if it's a little bit over, it's fine and also forgot to bring my whisk. So I'm just going to use a color brush to mix it up. So after mixing, I always get. I always use this brush, which is the Pravana brush to balayage, because that's my favorite one and the bristles are super soft, unlike most bristles, where they're like super hard. So after this is done, mixing we are going to be ready to start first, what you want to do is put a tape around your client, so I can protect their clothes and from the bleach from touching them. So what she used to have is a bleach in tone and then the most recent time that I touched up her hair was with baby, lice and and now the top is pretty much grown out. So we're just going to touch up the roots and I'm also going to bleach wash the end, so it gets a little bit lighter. So the way I like to section it is: do you partner right here so since she parts her hair down the middle, I like to take a square of that first. So since she usually parts her hair right down the middle here, I would first take my first section like this. So, probably about like one and a half inches for per parting right here and then one and a half inches over here and then flip that up and then after that. For my thighs, I like to kind of take it from the corner that I parted in the back all the way down to the back of her ears and clip that, and then I do the same to the other side. Once we get to the back of the head, I like to part straight down the middle and then also the way I'm going to be vanishing or baby lighting. Her hair is I'm going to take it in diagonal sections. So by the time I get to the top you're gon na have a little triangular parting right there, but first off just part it down the middle like that, and then you are ready to begin okay, so for the first step. Take that diagonal parting, starting from behind the ear down to the end of the corner right here, that's going to be your first section, hold the hair tight and then for the baby lights. What I do is leave an extra extra fine section, because you want everything to blend and with our hair she likes her balayage super super heavy, no super light, so I'll probably be doing a lot of back-to-back foils so put that against the scalp. Take your leech and run it down and then you just kind of feather it up a little bit, move that to the side and then fold it and then what I like to do is fold the corner just so it secures the hair. So the floor does not move so that is your first section, okay, so on to the next section, so you're just going to do the same thing: prep the hair in a diagonal form and then do the thin baby lights again. So, since her hair is naturally level two she has black Asian hair and when lifting there will be a little bit of yellow tone. But I'm going to let her sit in process as long as possible until she gets to maybe like a level nine or so because this bleach can take it up to level nine and then once that is processed, I like to do like a shadow melt. So the top part is going to be a darker formulation and then for the bottom, it's going to be lighter, which this part is going to be a lot lighter. When I do bleach wash it so take your section, leave it out as thin as possible, and then you see how I'm painting like this, I like to get the leech on first and then, after that I take the brush vertically to make sure I get all The hair saturated that's in the foil and then I blend it down to here. Stop and then I take my comb and if you do have previously bleached hair, just push it to the side and then fold the flow up and then do the same. That you did earlier pull the sides so now I'm just going to continue all the way until I get to a certain area and then I'll, let you guys know when to stop so now that we're at the top, you have one small little corner left right. There so I like to just leave that out until later and then what you're gon na do is flip her to the other side and start doing the other side and diagonal partings the same way and then stop winging it to that little triangle. So I just finished using my 20 volume developer bleach and also just a lot you can heat today. I'M gon na pump up the bleach to the next volume for 30. So just turn on your wings go put 30 grams of bleach powder in your bowl and then use your 30 while you to developer up to one now that you're at the top - and you have the two triangles - just combine them together and you'll - have one huge Triangle - and I like to save this part for a last now that or to the side of the head, what I like to do is take it in diagonal parties going this way, starting from the side where you always want to get the fiber, because a lot Of people miss that so just go ahead and section this out first and then also fold that in the Triangle, just so the hair doesn't slip because there's so little hair, hair you're, you definitely want to love it. And then you see for somebody who has baby hair like this, usually if it was longer, I would continue to go diagonal until I hit this corner right here but says she has baby here. I'M just gon na go ahead and fall, so I'm going this way and for you to secure it tightly, I would double fold it and then I'll fold the sides and then a little triangle just to be sure and then just continue on and then just continue With the baby hairs, I feel like a lot of people. We miss the baby hairs, but I honestly feel like it's. Probably one of the important section is to do because it's right around the hairline and you wouldn't want to type your hair and have like a patch of dark hair. What everything is right and again just the will fold it to make it extra, secure and then corner that off. I usually would do about three and after that, I'll just continue to do it the regular way. So what you're gon na do now is turn the client around to the other side and do exactly what you did to the side to the other side. So now to the other side. This is a different angle. I just want you guys to make sure to never leave out the sideburns again, because those are very important, even though it's just like three four or five strands like a little bit of strands of hair. These so need to be lightened, and so you just continue to do diagonal partings until you get to around this area, and so since this client does have baby hairs, you want to take three packets down this way so from this section right here now that you Did all your diagonal sections and you already went and finish half of the section off, go ahead and start going this way three packets of to do the baby hairs and then continue on now that we're at the front section. I want to show you guys how I do this. Oh, how I like to do. It is maybe like three or four back-to-back falls in the front, because I always want the facial framing to pop the most so so she has baby here in the front right. There, I probably will be doing four back-to-back and just finishing off the top with the 40 volume development bleach so now that you're at the top and the last corner, that means you're almost finished. Usually with this part, I would bleach wash it in the shampoo bowl, but since I'm showing you guys, I'm just going to take each section and paint this on wet hair. I'M going to only leave this on for a couple of minutes and then have her rinse. It out and then we're going to apply the toner, so I'm just stripping out any old color. She had in her hair and just light me up just a tad bit more so now that she washed off the bleach wash that we just did so for the top of her roots. I'M gon na go ahead and use the 8 ash and the 8 pearl that I fixed together again. Usually I would do this at the in the shampoo ball, but since I'm recording and showing you guys, I'm going to be putting it in a squeeze tube interview. This way, so I'm just putting it on the first footage of our hair after you're done applying the four inches of the root area. What I'd like to do is kind of blend it down a little bit before I add on the night pearl shade onto the bottom, so i'ma do put the hair in half start working on the bottom again. If I was in the shampoo hole area, I would just throw it on and then comb through it then kind of color melt it. But since I'm doing a section by section because I'm filming I can just pretty much color melt it with my hands like this. So go ahead and do that to the whole entire head, you can kind of see the toner right now, making the hair open, more ashy and just make sure you do this to the whole entire hair and then also color melt it from the root down a Little bit like that, I'm going to let this process for 15 minutes and in 15 minutes you'll see that everything is going to develop it. So I had to take her outside because it was getting very late, but I just want to show you guys. Her blend super beautiful baby lights, how's, the color look, let me know if you guys try this technique and take me in the photos at the lashing Hair Stylist on instagram, thanks for watching, and if you guys like this video subscribe.

willfade 79: Great video! Thank you for being so thorough. It looks amazing! I'm a brunette with a bad blonde weave on top of a better weave that's growing out. My hair is a mess! It was the first time I went blonde. I used to always rock black or red hair. I'm not sure what to do with my hair now. The lady that did the weave on my roots to "blend in" with the previous weave did a horrible job, charged me a fortune and kind of ruined my hair. I swear by Schwarzkopf products! They have the best shampoo and conditioner products for color damaged/bleached hair. I'm not even using ones specifically for "color treated" hair, that's how good the products are. Anyway, great work! The finished product looks amazing!! Congrats on your baby by the way.

But I do it myself :( wish I knew a friend like us. :) your great mama!!!

Maaz Faisal: Best ash grey colour results i have ever seen in this entire youtube...Great work❤

Chandra Cox: I'll be following this tutorial at home and really need to know about the 1 to 3 ratio and why you chose that instead of 1 to 2 or 1 to 1. I've never seen 1 to 3 used before. I also have dark brown nearly black hair.

h0neybee77: I love your technique so much! Thanks for sharing!

Azzura's beauty boutique: It literally takes me forever to foil I also do tiny sections and use about 95 foils per head and it drives me mad that I can't bring my timing down how long does it take you to foil? Xx

elamb13: Such a great video! I am looking forward to using your technique! Thank you for sharing your creativity!

Lien H: Do you recall how long it took you to do all the back to back foils? Thanks!! I’m working on my timing and it still takes me almost 2 hours to foils a full head. Ugh.

NicoleMarie.Beauty: Hi! I am fresh out of cosmetology school and I find your videos very helpful and educational in this vast world of beauty with so many techniques and different ways to lighten. I apologize for my ignorance but I’m confused as to how/why you are applying an 8A demi i presume at the root If the client is a natural level 2. Thank you for your videos!

Donna Preshous: I throughly enjoyed watching this video, so informative a did a brilliant job xxx

mx.t.lily: I wish i had the patience to do this. You did an amazing job!

Theresa Hartley: I felt like you were applying bleach up to the root in all the foils, but after processing her hair did not have much lightness going up to the root. It was still so dark. How is this? Beautiful end results!

Hung Le: She needs to make more videos so that I can watch them all! Like if agree.

Dream Promkunya: Gosh, judging from how thin the layer of each section you do, you are a really elaborate person. Thumbs up!

Carmen rouseIniguez: You can see how beautiful and well taken care of the model manages her hair. She has beautiful hair. Girlfriend is wracking up the foils. Yes, baby hair is so crucial. Shaving then makes you look too hard too. Th for sharing!

Jai Lee: Turned out beautifully. Great!

Amy Ochoa: Absolutely gorgois...I'm going to try this. On my hair very soon, but have to have help bc my hair is really long. Good job. Best tutorial I've ever seen. You're truly an artist and love what you do. Making women beautiful. Merry Christmas to you and yours, from me and mine...

Līga Laura: How strong developer did you use for that toning at the end? And with what ratio did you mix it?

Jeanette Rodriguez: Hey! Im obsessed with this lol. I’m currently a cosmo student I have done this technique on my cousin it turned out great! But I was wondering for someone who wants a more subtle balayage and wouldn’t want back to back foils would you recommend leaving slices out with this? Or ow would you go about making this more subtle for someone? Any guidance/advice is appreciated :)

Jackie Becerra: Looks amazing ,I want to go silver too!

meKelly: The colour is so nice! I love it

Island Girl: Perfection! A lot of work obviously , but that’s how it’s done ❤️

jasmine lowtan: this is the exact color that I want but I’m not so sure if my hair is strong enough to get this done last time, my hair literally broke from the bleach (and I wasn’t even going this light!). it was a stringy mess. I’m pretty sure my stylist left the bleach on too long because my hair was already bleached prior :( now I’m too scared to do anything again. had a literal break down in the salon! But I love this video
