Don't Forget To Live Your Extra Life.

Hi beautiful today we're watching people color their locks. I feel like I've seen people try this a lot and it not go great. The hair is so dense that sometimes the bleach just doesn't lighten it enough, but I'm interested to see the techniques that people use as we know, locks can take a really long time to perfect to get them really long and Luscious. So I really hope these people today don't ruin them, because my heart will break up. First, we have a video by Miss Casey. I wanted to do something different to my hair. It'S time to dye my hair bleach, my hair do something to it, and usually I'm really good at hair, but this time it turned out crazy. It turned out crazy, I'm interested to see what crazy is as in crazy good. Is it crazy bad? What do we got going on now? I need you to watch this from beginning to end, so you can tell me what I did wrong. Oh I'll, be here to tell you you know I will so I began doing what I thought was the best thing to do, which is just putting my hair in different sections. When I bleach The Roots, it makes it a bit easier easier. We all love sectioning here on Brad motto's reaction, videos. You know how much I love it, but for this instasary, since the locks are already kind of pre-sectioned, you can kind of just go around them. Now I use little plastic rubber bands to put it in sections and I'm using quick glue, bleach and 30 developer. I don't mind that, because locks are so dense, you're really gon na need a powerful lightener and a powerful developer to really penetrate inside and really get that hair lightened. Plus her hair is really dark. Naturally, so we're gon na need that lifting power. If you could tell from my face I'm a little scared, but I got this little applicator brush, so I'm just applying it to the area. That'S black! I'M still watching this video as I'm doing the voiceover and I'm trying to figure out what did I do wrong? I actually think this is a really good process, but first of all put some gloves on you guys with the no gloves thing: it's really ballsy, I mean go for it but like when you don't have fingerprints anymore, don't come blaming me don't come after me. I actually like the way she's coloring her locks with the brush less with her hands. Originally I was like maybe she should kind of squeeze the lightener into her locks, but then I was like how are you going to wash that out, you're going to have bleach in your hair forever? You know for as long as you have the locks, so I actually do feel like just painting the surface. Getting a lot of lightener on. There is going to be really helpful to make sure these locks are nice and bright. I was told not to put the bleach right on my edges, because my edges would turn light first, and you don't really want that. So I saved my edges for last. That is a great tip, save your edges. For last. They are the most fragile part of your hair. Do not directly just put it on all your edges. First, like they will snap, they will turn really really white it'll, be all sorts of nasty. I was told to make sure you don't overlap and put it on the already bleached parts of my locks, and I tried my best to do that. As you can see, I'm like really taking my time trying to make sure that every part of my lock is covered by bleach. She is going in there. She is putting the work in and I'm appreciating it, I'm still trying to figure out what went wrong. So here's all my locks, okay, the application - actually looks good. Where are we going wrong here? They have bleach on the roots, I'm thinking it looks pretty good uh. Oh, do you guys see what I'm seeing here? Can we zoom in she's, probably colored her hair, previously dark on the roots like I get the sense that her roots are not natural? We are getting different colors throughout that section of hair. Oh she's, gon na end up with some really orange hair. If you have a ring, light put your phone on it and you can view the back of your head when you look into the mirror. Look at her fully saturating hell to the yeah, I'm looking in the mirror in front of me. Looking at uh the screen of my phone, that's recording with the back of my head and I'm able to see what I'm doing we're getting a little overlapping there calm it down, see the roots they're turning blonde, I'm like okay, it's working and here's the big reveal. What are we about to get three two one go? It was at this moment that she knew she [ __ ] up what happened. I definitely didn't think it was gon na be great but like. Why is it so dark? Still her, like regrowth section, is still Brown, which I don't understand at all. Maybe she didn't leave it on for long enough like easily this on for probably an hour. So if you didn't yeah, you probably went wrong there. She is shook she is shaking and stirred. So, basically guys I had died this year black, I knew it. She dyed that hair black before she screwed. I had dyed my edges black. So as a result, oh my God, why did we miss so many spots? I really thought I was gon na. Do a better job than this. I don't think the front had enough time to color. It did not have enough time. Lord. What did I just do? You might have screwed yourself a little bit. I am debating whether I just want to bleach the hair and then use the extension here to cover up this discoloration. I definitely think you need to lighten the hair again in all those dark spots. Let'S correct that wrap some extension around there. Actually, I don't have much developer. I look like a leopard all right, so we're going in with a second round of bleach. Thank God. She really needs to fix that. Oh, my gosh, I'm scared put some more on my edges, but, like we ain't staying orange pray for my hair, please hair Gods. Let her hair live. So I bleached my hair again. This black leech still doesn't want to let it it still has some orange in it. The root is trying to let up but the hair itself. No, it doesn't want to let up. We can do something about this. Let'S put a toner on there: okay, at like a level eight, let's not make it too light. I also think maybe like a gingery color would really look good on you and it would even things out really nicely so use the same permanent colors. We don't inflict any more damage on your hair, maybe a ginger or something in that like level eight dark blonde range. What I have to do is on this brassy orange part, put the put toner in to white, so I have a light gold blonde permanent hair color, but I found this Honey brown hair dye semi-permanent, which would take less of a toll on my hair. Seeing that I bleached these parts twice and I really shouldn't have - I should have just got a toner, but I shouldn't be playing with my edges all right, so I mixed it. I didn't put the whole thing because I didn't really need it and it's like this jelly consistency skip the T14. That is not going to do anything to help the situation just go right in with the side, permanent color and deepen those edges. Okay, so everything Blends better. This is just too much I'm debating whether I should condition my hair before I put on some mom Honey brown conditioner. I take it back. That looks a lot better, but I kind of warded it down, because a lot of people did like a water method and I don't want it to be too dark. So I'm thinking I can like spray it. That'S a really interesting way of applying color, I'm into it. She put some water and put some color in a bottle and shook it and now she's spraying It On All Our Roots to deepen them. I'M here for it all right, so you see how it's like dyeing the hair. I don't want it to be like ash white blonde, I want it to be like honey blonde. It'S already looking so much better. Your girl just saved her hair and I'm about to condition it for like two hours, because it's gon na be brittle, but I'm gon na give this like 10 more minutes to get in my hair. Now my hair is going to have like a Honey brown undertone guys. I am just not the biggest fan of this Honey brown. It kind of has like a yellow undertone. It doesn't look that bad in the mirror. Oh no, she was using a Honey brown and her hair is really yellow to start with. So now it's just like neon yellow. I really thought we were gon na get this before it was like white and orange, and now with at least one tone, although it's not my favorite tone but anyways, I can't wait to show you guys what I do to my hair next. Okay. Well, um. I agree with everything you said and next time try and opt for a more cool toned, toner or semi-permanent color. That way it knocks out some of that yellow and you're left with more of like a neutral blonde color. That will look great, I'm so sorry that happened to you. Oh this, next video is by Ashley K, as you guys can see. I am jumping right in. I don't even know what she's using I'm scared. If it's anything like the last girl. Oh, you know the routine when it comes to me coloring, my hair, so she's using a different technique that I was thinking would probably be a better idea before and then I didn't think it was a better idea, and now I do think it's a better idea. Using gloves putting the liner on your hands and really getting it in the locks, as you guys know, I've had this black for about six months, so her current hair is dyed black. So it's gon na be very orange and that's just the truth, but maybe she wants that. I don't know we're even gon na get rid of this black. As you can see, I am throwing this bleach on here. No special way, all right. Keep your comments to yourself. I have a hard time keeping my comments myself, so I apologize y'all trying to critique me and tell me all this stuff but yeah. This is how I do my hair. Okay, I'm so happy she's, leaving the roots out for now and she's gon na go back in later. We all know you can't do those roots first, because they are going to lighten really fast from the heat from your scalp me bleaching, my hair, and all this. I'M not afraid of bleach, I'm not afraid of bleach either. Okay, it is my best friend actually usually sometimes also FYI. I am a licensed cosmetologist, so I do know what I'm doing. I just do what I want to do on my hair, because it's still healthy. I haven't lost a strand of hair. I feel that, honestly, I do the same [ __ ] in my hair, I'm like you know what I know that this might be a mistake, but I literally don't have time to do it any other way. We just do what we can do as a cosmetologists to our own hair. We don't have much time for ourselves, I'm not doing no, no specific way. Sorry, the color that I'm going for. I know I'm not going to get like the exact thing I'm going for, but it's going to be close enough as you y'all be under my comments talking about um you're, not supposed to bleach The Roots Until the End guys, I don't give a rats. I know you're not looking for critiques and you can do whatever you want seriously, but it would be easier if you did all the mids and ends. Let that lighten a bit and then went in on the roots because now we're starting to do the roots already. But the ends aren't even lifted, so take it or leave it. I'M sure you maybe already know that my roots will forever be lighter than the rest of my hair. My roots are my actual hair. The rest of my hair has been dyed multiple times, so there's just hella dye all over it. It'S not going to get to a color. That'S the roots are going that the roots are, you know better honestly, her roots are probably gon na, always be lighter, especially because that's like unlocked hair and the rest has locks, so the lightener is gon na have an easier time penetrating that hair than the rest. I know here's pose a way to do your roots to the end, but I don't care period just to let you guys know I am going to have to bleach it one more time to like get it as light as I want it to be. This is the first time because, like I mentioned, I do have jet black on my hair and the color that I'm going for I want it to show, I feel, like locks makes it so. Your hair is like it's impossible to break your locks off with bleach. I feel like you could do it a thousand times and they would still be there because there's just like so much hair built into that one strand. Imagine if you're like bleach your luck so many times that one just like fell to the ground. That would be terrifying and also really interesting, to watch we're working around the head, we're getting through it we're almost done applying the lightener. I can't wait to see it start lifting I have washed out that first bleach. This is day two. This is not the same day. This is the next day I mean clearly her Roots got a lot lighter like she knew it was gon na happen, and I knew what's gon na happen and now she's doing the ends again, which I think is an amazing idea, because she really needs to lift Out more of that color before we go and do pink, I'm getting those little spots that I missed. As you can see those dark spots right there that were hidden because my hair was twisted. I'M glad she's not going back over those lighting spots, she's really focusing on those dark areas, first to even things out we're about to get into this color after this clip. So I absolutely love my hair. This is after the second time, and it got much lighter and now we're about to add this color. I really like this Ginger color on her, like I like the way the roots are lighter, it really works for her. For some reason, usually I'd be like no. No, no! No, but this this looks cool check that color out y'all. I hope that this color is like neon pink, because otherwise it is not going to cover that orange, but if it is neon pink, it may just do the trick. Please look. I got a whole Bush y'all if I was to cut my Locs off. I would just cut it off today to the end of that new growth. Okay, we're not going ball. We'Re gon na keep what we working with up here and, as you can see my hair, it's not damaged, but of course he got its own little thing going on. We are applying that pink all over and it's looking super super pink yay. I love pink hair and I think her hair is porous enough that it's really going to um suck in all that pink and it's really going to be bright. I hope so please come on. I want some fun today. Oh it looks so good. This was such a good decision. I want to see the end result, so bad all right guys. So this is the finished product. Okay, the ants are darker than the roots, but I just did a retwist and I styled it here is the style I went with. I just did a little pineapple pineapple, whatever you want to call it yeah shut up. I love the style she put it in. I love the fact that her roots are lighter pink than the ends. The ends are red, the roots are pink, I don't know it's such a Vibe all around and it looks purposeful. It just feels artsy and cool here we are, but I'm gon na get out of here, just give y'all a little. You know turn around that y'all see what's going on, but watch the next video I love it. I love it. I love it. I love it. I love it. I love it. She did such a great job. I know she knew what she did wrong, but it ended up coming out really cool. Well, today we saw a bit go wrong. A bit go right. I don't know. I am kind of obsessed with that pink look. Maybe the first girl should also go pink. You should do it if you guys like to shop my hair care or my hair color line. HBBILY: The fact he correctly calls them “locs” and not “dreads” makes my heart smile!!!

Lorna T: Brad just taught us about cool vs. warm colors, and the second girl is a perfect example. That pink looks great on her. Also, I would have loved to see her make that pineapple. That thing is cute as hell!

Lisaahh: These fail videos will always be the most entertaining to watch.. how sadistic of us all

Maenad: The first chick actually had an extremely good technique and seemed really well informed. I think unfortunately some people’s hair just doesn’t take bleach well even if they do a good job

Cassandra Morrison: Don't know if anyone has noticed the energy changes Brad Mondo has gone through over the years especially recently but I'm super glad that he seems to be getting his spark back. Brad Mondo - thank you for all your work into these videos even when you weren't feeling well, these videos are the bright spots in my darker times. Love you and the work you do ❤

Latisha Saunders: Hey Brad you definitely can over color locs. What generally happens is the weakest points starts to thin out and then breakoff. It stripes the hair of moisture and it's impossible to add moisture to dead hair. I still have some breakage happening after not coloring my hair in 3-4 years. It's not much but it's there. I've lost an average of 2-3 inches of my locs but they're still long.

Miss Kay Cee: Brad.. Thank you so much for the hair tips and featuring me in your video. I wish I could've asked you for advice before I bleached my locs! Im going to give an update on my hair this weekend!

Evelyn: "When you don't have fingerprints anymore..." Suddenly criminals start to obsessively bleach their hair without gloves

Julie Blair: Girl #2 is the perfect example what it’s like breaking the rules when you already know them all. That was gorgeous.

Julianna Jo: The patience of these women is next level.

Aimee Littlewood: I'm a lokktician (someone who does dreads) and my co-worker got her hair bleached at a salon, the poor girl didn't know how to dye locks, left the bleach on for way to long, and her dreads fell off right at the roots, it was horrifying. Luckily the girls and I were able to reattach them with the couple of centimetres she had left.

Charity Dublin: As a loc'd girl I'm here for this! Would love to colour my locs but I'm terrified

Joi2DaWRLD: THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR DOING THIS VIDEO!!!! I been waiting on something like this. Please do more videos about locs I been thinking about purchasing your color to use on my locs and make a video about it. Sincerely, A black girl with locs that consistently watches your content

Angela Watson: I’ve only had mine dyed once (been loc’d since 1999). I went to a stylist btw. But it def takes FOREVER because as he said, they are so dense it is difficult for the color to penetrate. I did like an auburn. It looked cute but I didn’t like the need for upkeep cause my hair grows so fast the roots would always poke through

FoolyLiving: Ive bleached my hair for like 20 years. For some reason, my very new roots always turn white, the growth section is always a little brassy before toner.. So weird how that happens.

sunsetnwaves: I love the way Brad celebrates Natural Hair on his page, his channel is a space for EVERYONE

Keona Brown: I’ve colored my locs multiple times. It’s green at the moment. My loctician advised using Dark & Lovely blonde dye instead of bleach. Then you can add your semi-permanent dye. Much less damaging.

Viniceia Carter: Makes me so happy to watch these beautiful locs! I’m shaving my head tonight to start my second loc journey so I can start with fresh, unbleached hair for my micro locs!

Cassidy Christine: I’m a stylist who has had locs and I’ve done color/lightening on other people with locs. I assure you, they can definitely break off. The hair inside the locs is pretty well protected but the outer strands are still very susceptible to damage and dryness. The second girl definitely did things much more effectively. Her end result looks amazing!

Ash Queen: the fact that you never fail to try to teach us something new is amazing.

ThatGirlJackie VLOGS!💚: I'm usually a silent viewer, but I just wanted to thank you for your videos! I've learned so much from you. I do my own hair at home now. I won't touch bleach, but I do dye my hair the lightest I can on my own. I make sure it doesn't get damaged and tone it and all that too. Anyway, thanks!

StayAtinyCherry: I love that there was a loc coloring video reaction. I was feeling a little left out in representation. I love my locs and seeing this makes me appreciate Brad more.

Oh Jordyn: Brad needs to come out with a toner for toning out orange color. Give t-18 a little competition!

Loved77: I Loved to bleach my Locs and color them pink, purple and blue. It was very dry afterwards but I LOVED the colors The biggest issue I had was that when I combed my Locs out, the bleached hair literally broke off in my hand as I combed the loc out. So, not sure if it was totally worth it since I lost 6 years worth of length.

Lauralanthalasa: I love these hair fail videos. It makes me feel better about my hair. It's also good to see wins. Let's go!

Georgiana Bailey: As someone will locs I love this video thanks for the representation Brad xxx

sorrryimlate: These are the videos I look forward to & you never disappoint Brad your videos make my day ❤️

MetaphoricallyLiteral: I can tell you that you can, in fact, snap dreads with bleach. R.I.P. that one sad loc I lost. But working the bleach in with your hands is a better way to go I think. Gotta get in IN there. And then just riiiiiinse and riiiiinse to get it all out. And don't do it over and over in an attempt to turn your dark hair white, haha x_x

Cherry: This is when the beauty supplies store should have a drive up pick up service when your hair gives cheetah vibes a d you are embarrassed to leave your car lol

Radish: The confidence of "I'll do to my roots whatever I want to, leave me alone" is why it's so cool. She knew what she was about.

Tierra Smith: I volunteer as tribute if you'd like to experiment with coloring locs But seriously, the last girls hair came out so cute! It's definitely a vibe and now I want to get my locs dyed

tehtranadelemna: Brad that velvet shirt is amazing on you, it compliments your amazing eyes so much. The whole look is wonderful.

Oh Jordyn: That second girl, if she didn’t want people commenting and having opinions on how she does her hair, why would she videotape it and put it on youtube for the world to see?

Lindsay Cogdill: Brad just had to tell you that I think you're freaking amazing and you brighten my day whenever I watch your videos! I just got a bunch of your haircare line and I can't wait to get them and try them out! Thanks for being you!

Conquering.Chronic.Illness: Nooooo Brad! Bleach can absolutely break offlocs. Yannie (the only locologistI help ppl will loc damage all the time. I think its because curly hair is already more fragile combined with the extra weight of loced hair. It can be done, but it can also go so wrong.

TheRozzyDozzy: Brad, thank you for covering not only all textures on the spectrum, but also protective/permanent styles. It's nice to watch vids from great color stylists. But I love you because you cover EVERYTHING under the sun when it comes to hair color. I feel so seen! I'm about to take the plunge with locs and this is a reminder that color can be for anyone. That's not something I grew up with.

Taj Simms: The timing of this video is on the spot omfg can’t believe you did a locs video, I recently wanted brown highlights, the girl Used bleach and left it on way too long! My hair was orange and yellow, and one was brown lol. I got some brown box dye to fix the problem and it took very well. The entire time I was watching brads videos and thinking about how my cuticle has been blasted open lol. I really appreciate this video brad thank you for catering to different demographics!

Brianna Daniels: I would love for your videos to be about 5-10 mins longer. I love your content.

yourlocalhippiee: I've been dying my locs for years and seeing people be scared as shit as most people think one bleach job will give them platinum locs are definitely more difficult to dye and bleach

Melisa Sue Cabral dos Reis: I love that you teach us women, all women, about our Hair!! This is what we need a person who teaches us the correct way to go about IT! ❤️❤️ You Mondo!

Unknown 7: That steel blue velvet shirt, the silver jewelry, the piercing blue eyes, literally stunning

Baby Valentine: You referring to them as “locks” makes me want to subscribe 1000x over.

Niece and Mone: I have so much respect for you for calling them locks I really appreciate how much respect you have for people

Bass Woman: I'm a licensed cosmetologist and I always say we do things to our own heads that we would NEVER do to a client that sat down in our chair!! It's true!

Teayana: My locks are past my butt. I've been thinking about coloring them. This has given me major reconsideration

Kristin Hale: Hands down my favorite shirt you've ever worn, and possibly the most beautiful fabric I've ever seen! LOVE IT!!! <3

Ashley Farrish: I have been watching Brad's videos every night before bed lately. His voice is so calming and I just love his content ❤

Antoinette Hicks: 11:25 hey Brad you can definitely break locks off with bleach. It makes the locks stretchy and they kinda rip apart.

DJ Golden: I love you so much for picking black girls so I can reasonably know what to expect w my own hair. THANK YOUUUU

Kelli 💖 𝐹**СК МЕ - СНЕ𝒞𝒦 𝑀𝒴 Р𝑅𝟢𝐹𝐼𝐿Е: Brad just taught us about cool vs. warm colors, and the second girl is a perfect example. That pink looks great on her. Also, I would have loved to see her make that pineapple. That thing is cute as hell!

Victoria Irene Matthews: I helped my old cosmetology teacher color her extension locs. And she taught me to really saturate the lightener into the locs like the second girl

Avery Allen: I always love how Brad talks about hair period, but especially coily and kinky textures. It’s informed and informative, even if these folks are doing so wrong by their strands

Effy Fae: Im watching your videos while I'm sick and they make me feel so much better. You're made of positive energy and it just radiates. I appreciate you and your content. ❤

Melanie Ann Plans: Oh my goodness! I give these girls credit because I can't imagine how long these processes take! The second girl's final results is absolutely insane in the best possible way. Way to go!

Jen 💜💙: That pink was amazing! The light roots and darker mids/ends did look artsy and it suits her

thegalaxiespunkdisaster: We are being spoiled with Brad content and I’m so grateful. Hope you’re doing well man

TribeeQueen: When I was in college, every girl was going natural and still coloring their hair, I’ll admit I also did it. I went red and purple with my short curls after I chopped my relaxed hair off but I was seeing girls with locs color theirs too - it turned out well most of the time but it’s also how I found out you can over process locs too. I saw one girl go from shoulder blade length locs to just her new growth roots., left it on for too long and the hair was not as dense as everyone expected they simply snapped off. When done accordingly the results can be great and give you such a unique hair style - love to see cute colored locs.

Karbarson: I had my hair braided my freshman year in college and I LOVED IT!!! Then PCOS came in and slapped me and my hair started falling off lol…it was horrible watching my braids fall out. It wasn’t too tight, I had issues with hair loss before hand and that was part of the reason why we braided it, but things progressed quickly with my health and whole braids were just coming out…very similar to when my hair fell out from chemo recently. Just…yeah. I’ve wanted to braid it again since my hair grew back after chemo…I may do a partial braid.

The Stylist Life: Yessss love the last one! Thanks for always including all types of hair. I have locs myself and really enjoyed the video

C Bryce: It's good to see you, Brad! It's been a while since you did a video, and I was a little worried about you. I hope all is OK for you.

TYRATHETHIRD: I always hoped you would do another video just for locs! Thanks for rocking with us, been a fan since forever I would never bleach my locs, but I have used developer to go red!

Roberta Silver: This video had me tense. I’m so glad none of these girls locs broke off. Years ago I did a stupid thing and wanted to go from red to blonde locs and let me tell you. I did not do my research. I’ve been bleaching my unloced hair for years so I thought I knew what I was doing really saturating everything. Little did I know that I was only meant to lightly coat the loc so it didn’t saturate through. Nope I rubbed that bleach as deep as I could into my locks so the red would really come out. And I did this process repeatedly. Ofcourse I never really managed to get the bleach out of my locs properly no matter how thoroughly I washed it. The hair eventually fried and crumbled into almost dust. There was breakage everywhere all the dreads snapped and I learnt my lesson. 5 years later my locs are long healthy, natural colour and untouched by bleach

-[EMMA] H0T Girl-C0me 0ver L!ve: Brad just taught us about cool vs. warm colors, and the second girl is a perfect example. That pink looks great on her. Also, I would have loved to see her make that pineapple. That thing is cute as hell!

emmi grainger: That shirt is so nice. Love your vids also, watched them for a long time they give me a good boost. I struggle to be motivated to do things but watching one of these usually makes me wanna do myself up all nice. Thank you

Jay Spencer: I was having a rough mental health day and watching you helped so much, thank you Brad.

Rebecca Bailey: I’m literally binge watching your videos right now and I absolutely love your reactions especially when they do their hair wrong, it’s so hilarious

stefi jackson: I really love Brad's intro "Hey Beautiful" . If in one video we don't have this catch phrase we know something is completely wrong with our beloved hairdresser

A Rose From Concrete: This is why I love you Brad. Your knowledge on any hair type is a gift, I am so here for it

Jess_Marie_G: Knowing that trained stylists also just doo whatever to their hair makes me feel so good! I am not a pri, just a "change my hair with my mood," kind of girl, and also keep abusing my hair. Thank you mom for awesome hair genes!

Crystal Vincent: Yes!!! I've been waiting for a video like this! I've been locked pretty much my whole life. It is definitely delicate surgery keeping them colored and healthy. They will definitely get gummy/slimey and snap off with too much bleach. **mine are currently ginger with blonde highlights.

Gladys McConnell: I like how you’re nice about it and not being mean to these people. I can watch videos like this all the time.

BEAUTY BY NOVA: I just love u Brad!!!! You are so cute when u get happy with great results. I'm coloring my locs. hopefully I make it into your reaction video... Stay blessed and beautiful xoxo- Nova

Brizy89: That pink is GIVING!! Thank you SOOOOOO much for reacting to a loc video!! Also just different hair textures in general! I’ve watched so many of your videos and this is the first one on locs that I’ve seen…or maybe I missed one! either way I love them all!!!

Teebirdie: From what I saw, the second person’s locs loosened up a lot! I have baby locs, and virgin hair. I don’t think I’ll ever bleach/color my locs (but I sure do love the pink)—would opt for a pro if anything!

Larona: Thank you for listening to our suggestions Brad! This is why I love you very nice to have a reaction I can relate to and benchmark from

Strider : Brad mondo, as much as you might hear this: you absolutely make my day! You’re my comfort YouTuber and you basically taught me how to cut/ color my hair! THANK YOUU!!

Kate Jones: I love this video! In the 00s I had locs for a couple of years and there is one thing I never realized until I cut them off. Some of the bleach particles will remain in loose locs even after washing EXTREMELY well. If you are bleaching locs make sure you have tightened them up first! (I know I’m white but this was actually a common problem I found amongst friends of all hair and skin types with locs who chose to bleach/dye them.) any bleach left in the hair will eventually become chemically neutral but may continue to damage hair for several hours after being neutralized on the outside!

OkiHenlo: Brad you are GLOWING! Also i freaking love your vids, even when you are telling them what they did wrong, you are being so nice.

Monique Aaron: Love love love this vid!! I don’t color my own Locs. I let my licensed beautician take care of that. I love how you explain HOW they messed up. Please keep the vids coming

VeeAy: I've been dying my loose natural hair green for years and just loc'd my hair this year. The first time I rebleached, I definitely didn't lighten it enough, but whatever lol. Just recolored a dark teal to hide the oopsies

Buhh Byee: The fact BRAD is saying LOCS instead of DREADS!!! Is the reason why I love him! EDIT: all you white people making this post about white people when I’m literally talking about African Americans proves how self-centered and you are. THIS POST IS ABOUT AFRICAN AMERICAN LOCS AND WHY WE STOPPED SAYING DREADLOCS.

Dayna: I bleach my hair with no gloves because I'm BLIND Brad, it's the only way I'll know that I got everything, I wear gloves I have spots, no gloves perfect application. So what if I burn my fingerprints off? All the better to commit CRIME with

Crayon: Heyy Brad, since I discovered your channel a few days ago I completely fell in love with it, I love your videos very much and I spend about 5 hours a day watching them and it's no joke. I would really like to have a fringe on my afro hair, would you do a step by step tutorial with simple and cute techniques for this type of hair? I swear that if you do it I will record myself following it step by step.

Bri: I love you Brad but there are some things that should be clarified. I’ve bleached and dyed my locs many times. PLEASE do not squeeze bleach into your locs!! Because locs are so dense, the bleach can get trapped (if not washed extremely throughly) and will literally eat your hair from the inside out. It takes so much effort to completely clarify the strands of product/ debri (look up ACV rinse). Also, we do not have a free pass to bleach our loc strands a thousand times because like everyone else, there can be damage, thinning or the possibility of strands just snapping off. The outer layer of the stands are comprised and with every bleaching, those strands get weaker. I hope this helps any locd girlies out there thinking about bleaching.

CecileC: This crushed blue velvet on you is giving me life all the love to you boo!

your mom: I have locs, bleached them 4 times (toned once) since the beginning of this year in a span of two months. I was very surprised and still am that my curl pattern hasn’t changed at all.

AlwaysTubin9213: You definitely don’t need a powerful lightener to dye locs. My mom has long beautiful locs for over 10 years and her hair dyes just fine with even just box dyes. She’s done both at home dye jobs and professional dye jobs. No problems and her hair is long, thick and healthy.

Lily Harris: I love Brads videos so much. He never fails to put a smile on mu face ❤

thatsuspiciouswhalenut: Thanks to the bleach fail reaction series I managed to successfully bleach and dye my hair silverblond :)

Shara Duncan: I just really appreciate your referring to this hair/lifestyle as locks as opposed to "dreads." Thanks for that! Awesome reaction vid.

sherylann0508: These videos just make me wanna bleach my hair and use every single piece of advice he ever gave so that it turns out okay and that he can finally have a moment of peace where everything goes right

Sometimes it snows in April: I have never seen yellow edges before She really did have a good method though. She definitely tried

Christina: Can we all just day that Brad never fails to entertain us !

Angelina: This top looks gorgeous on you!

🌻 Amanda Jayde 🌻: love you videos! thank you for educating us brad!

Shavon_Sketches: I’ve had my locs for 2 yrs now and dyed my locs about 3months ago. I was afraid of my roots being damaged, so I only dyed like half of each loc giving a slight gradient.

Imena Kerpica: I love the pink on the last girl and the style as well. It looks so good on her. I tried dying my hair darkest brown ( adore semi-permanent colour), but it did not dye my hair. I have a very small grey spot, it did not pick colour either. It is all messed up, so sometimes you get surprised with the results.

Betty Smith: Brad Mondo is the only guy who can say "hey beautiful", and make me actually believe that I am. He makes my days so much better

Betty Mekonnen: I just wanna mention how satisfying it was hearing you call the hair locs opposed to dreadlocks

MyWrapTribe: Locs can still have breakage. I have some thinning and break offs on some of my ends. I knew it would happen eventually ‍♀️which is why I only did the ends
