Good day, this is diane grace at gracie's wig journey. How are you all doing today today? The focus is on tools, cap brushes exactly what do you use on your synthetic wig so that it will be with you for months in top condition, but also the caps? I want to go into first because the caps are really important, because that is how your wig is going to be secure, so that it won't move all right. In fact, i have my very favorite that i'll share with you first and then i'll go into some of the other caps that you can put on that will help secure your wig so i'll. Take this off first, so you'll see i'm not sure if you've any of you seen these before, but it see it's like a plastic band and see the little bumps on it. They'Re on both sides, so one set, is holding going into your scalp all the way to the back and the other is out the outside. So when you actually put the wig on it captures it, it holds it in place. I do not have any issues with shaking my head, my tennis or anything when i have this cap on, i haven't gone swimming with it because i haven't gone swimming with a wig. Yet, though, i have seen some gals that are teaching us all about their experience. That some of them do go swimming with a wig. I haven't done that yet um, but anyway, this is what i wear, and this is the light color it does come in darker colors. Let me show you, you can kind of see how that is yeah and it's just plastic. You get on amazon. You can get a lot of these weight. Companies they'll, have it in their accessories, so very inexpensive. The cap that um, you probably are familiar with that. Come actually normally in the wigs when you get them as complimentary are the caps that kind of look like a stocking. This is one that i got. I'Ve never had to buy one because i always get one in my wigs and i think when i ordered a darker color wig. This is what was inside the cap, so i go back and forth if i'm wearing a dark wig, and i don't want to wear my plastic i'll. Do this and again the way you put this on, as you know, like a stocking right, make sure if you have hair, make sure your the bun everything's included in it, and then you just i kind of pick it up here and pull back just a hair. Just to here to hold it - and i might add that i don't have it today, but i do have the dark powder that i used to put when i had big patches on my head, that i would sprinkle and it actually colors your scalp. So it doesn't look like you have big patches of white skull um and they also have it in in blonde and a light color and i'm actually going to get a blonde and i'll. Tell you why. Let me put on this jean renault kind of a brown and blond color. You always go to the forehead first and then you go over to your side paddles and have that right by your temple, then check you can move it back up to where you want right right below the line there and then you can play around this is One tool that i would never be without and a lot of times, you'll get this comb in the wig. Sometimes some of the manufacturers will will send you this week as a gift and then also this kind of kind of a comb works very, very well too. As well as i got this from john renaud on his site, or not his site, but a wig site, okay, anyway, remember it's all plastic! You never want to use your own brush. You always want to use the tools for your synthetic wigs and keep them very clean and keep them only to be used and just a little thought up here. Sometimes i'll notice like little hairs, kind of sticking through the way to do that is to press it down with warmth from your hand, just rub your hands together and just put it right there in that kind of it's almost like an iron. It kind of presses down those those little hairs. That'S that stand up, but you see how that this really holds my wig in place very very nicely, however, sometimes particularly when i'm outside, if i'm golfing or tennis, whatever, sometimes the lower back, might ride up. Just just a hint when i move it around a lot, and so what i tend to do when i do have the outdoor days or one if you're going to go dancing or whatever you might want to get these little adhesives and what they are i'll, just Kind of show you, with this one, these adhesives, where you see they come off on both sides. Do you see that and what you would be doing? Is you actually place this actually physically on the lower base of your wig? Okay, let me show you. Let me take this off that cap. You would put it right here, adhesive right here. In fact, i have an adhesive here which i'll take off and put a new one on if i need it, but that what that does is when you actually then put the wig on. It literally really sticks to your lower back, and this never rides up. This is as solid as a rock, at least my experience has been when i've been outside and stuff too all right. So i've showed you the cat and then there's the cap, for if you might prefer the cat this too, but actually my friends who actually have no hair um when they've lost all of their hair. They really prefer this cap and you can see it's so beautifully. Soft here and then this part here is, what's going to hold the wig in place, and then you also, this is velcro, so you're going to be able to any anyone could be able to wear this. Let me put this on i'll. Show you, if you put this on and also if you have a lot of hair, you might even prefer this too, and also, if you have sensitivity to um uh to you, know to the wigs and stuff, because some people are allergic and it becomes itchy and Bring this up, it becomes itchy because the construction, as you can see here, sometimes people feel this feels a little itchy when it's sitting on their their skull when they actually have no hair. As a barrier you see. So this kind of cap works even better than these. These give you a little bit, but this one is so soft and it really protects text your skull, particularly you have no hair at all, and then you would put put this on like i showed you before, find find the sides you see and then you then All you, then you would do is just pull it up so that it fits it fits for you and then you can use use comb with a brush to kind of style it. However, you like all right so that takes care of those items. Now, one item i wanted to share with you that is important for those of you that may, like the lace front like you, can see here, see the lace front here. I probably could move this back just here right to my hairline. That would be the proper placement of it. Now we all are made uniquely and different, and most of the average size that most wigs come in unless you customize it. Um come in average and i usually have no problem, but i did recently get a wig that this late front, the lace itself was kind of flipping and so the the wonderful glue, the body adhesive that works flawlessly and everyone talks about this. It'S called uh body. It stays adhesive, okay, you can get this on amazon and i believe you can get it in most of your week. Companies sometimes they run out of this. So, but this works so well and what you do, for instance, what i do with that lace that lifts up before i put my wig on. I just do a little rolly, a little dab and then put it on center it and then press down and that lace stays down the whole day and it's easy to take off at night, just a little water. It lifts up going. Everything comes off. It'S very easy, also. Another wig product that i would not live without not want to be far from is the two in one conditioner and detangler all right, um you'll find you really need this for the longer hairs, because a lot of times the fibers start kind of matting together and Just a little quick spray, a little brush brush brush and you're good to go. This really uh. Really. I use this actually every day on my wakes, because i find that this lasts so much longer and they stay in such great condition this way. So i definitely would recommend that so that that covers everything, except for one little item that i have a ton of scrunchies and because i used to always wear my hair back anyway. But i'm finding that sometimes the scrunchies just add too much of a bulk back. Here and i really want it to be as flat as possible, so that i, even though i have hair that little bun doesn't kind of stick out, and i found that there are these plastic kind of bands that you can buy on amazon. They come in all sizes. This is a small because i have very thin hair, but they come medium and large and they're they're very inexpensive. I think this was just a few dollars for 100 400 of these little plastic things and they they really last multiple times and uh. The reason is that that it's very easy they hold your hair down and it's actually so much flatter in the back. You don't have that bun kind of pressing out like i would always have with all these different scrunchies, no matter even my even the those different color bands, uh would still be too thick uh, whereas with this it makes a lot more flatter in the back. So other than that, i think that takes care for today for a little lesson on the caps, which is very important to wear, to be able to hold in place and also various ways of using that adhesive. For your back and also the glue for your front. For your lace top or if you're having problems with holding down even on the sides of the ear parts, if you really want to press those down, hold them down, you can use that too and then, as i said, i'm going to be getting a blonde powder. So that when i start because i'm starting to wear blondes styles more than my dark hair, i'm just going to get a blonde powder pop that in there it's very, very easy with a little brush and that will all blonde and will look more seamless. But thank you so much. I hope you enjoyed spending the day with me and i hope you subscribe and be part of my community, and i wish you a good day. Just remember, be gracious and kind to everyone. You meet today take care bye,
