I Dyed My Natural Hair Copper Red/Ginger By Myself At Home...

Hey babies, it's joining vaughn and welcome back to my channel or welcome to my channel if you're new. Thank you so much for clicking on today's video. So in today's video i wanted to vlog or document this process in this style of a video instead of my like full setup, because i'm keeping it real with you guys - and this was really like a last minute decision, because i was thinking to myself one. I need change and i definitely want to dye my hair, but two i wanted to film it because i know i'm going to get a lot of questions about it and i don't want to be that person. That'S like i don't know what color it was, or i don't remember or no i didn't film it or blah blah blah. So i wanted to make sure that i took care of this, for you guys uh full blown. I just cut my locs also, so i'm going to be taking them out tonight and tomorrow i'm actually going to be dyeing my hair, so hopefully, by the end of this. This turns out to be lit in the way that i want for it to be, because that would be really sad. Hey guys me again, so it's actually not the next day. It'S actually like two days later, because yeah i just didn't, have the energy i had other stuff going on. Actually, i should probably change my shirt back to the other shirt that i had on hold on. Okay, i had to go change my shirt because i'm filming something - and i have to have the same thing on it's the whole thing, but anyway i took my hair out. As you can see. It is it's time it is time for a change. You guys i'm so uh, i'm i'm not nervous, i'm more so just excited than anything. I'Ve always wanted to dye. My hair and i've always prolonged the process like. Oh, i don't want to put this in it. I don't want to put that in it. How am i going to take care of it after i dye it? What if i just do a rant blah blah blah like? I would always make all these excuses, and now i'm at a point where i just it's just time, i'm just ready to dye it. Like so, i'm going to section my hair off into four sections first, so this is the die that i'm going to be using. This is the l'oreal technique. High color highlights, and i got the color copper uh. It says one step high, lift in 30 minutes and i got four of these um each one of them were like four dollars, so i don't know, but i got four because i have a lot of hair like i don't have. My hair is not super long. My hair is thick and also the tube is really really small. The tube is like this size, and this is meant to just like highlight your hair. It'S supposed to be for, like actual like highlights, so it doesn't come in like a big bottle or a big jar. So from all the other videos that i watched of girls using this brand in particular, they always get multiple bottles. So that's what i did now. The developer that i'm gon na use is by clairol professional and i got 30. I didn't want to get anything higher than that, because the higher the number the brighter so like, if you got 40, it would probably it would come out really really really bright and i feel like this is already gon na be bright enough. So i'm just using 30., but i'm just gon na follow the instructions. Okay, so it says that you're going to empty this entire tube and you have to use double the amount of developer as the products. So this is 1.2 ounces and you're going to use 2.4 ounces of developer. So, if i use two of these, i have to use double the amount of developer. You know you get you get what i'm saying it says to apply to dry, unwashed hair. So that's why my hair looks like this. I wanted to make sure that i did this, of course before doing anything to my hair and it says to mix it until it's smooth and creamy, and then it's going to sit on my head for 30 minutes and then i'm going to rinse it out. So basically, you guys are just going to follow along that process with me as we speed through it and i'll come back to you guys in a minute. Oh, oh, okay, so hair dye is processing um, i'm excited. So this is the braiding hair that i ordered off of amazon the other day and i'm expecting that this is going to be the closest color that i can find in braiding hair to my hair color. This was really close to my previous hair color that i did like a year and a half ago or something like that. It'S the color 350 - and this was always a little more orange than like more red, because my hair was more red at the time. So i'm hoping that this is like perfect match um. I got like six bundles of this because i figure i'll probably use it for multiple different things. Oh okay, you guys! This is how it came out. I am actually first of all shout out to my curls because it looks like i put product or something in it, and i haven't done anything yet like i literally just took it out the towel. I just rinsed it out and took it to get out the towel so wow. I am obsessed what wow like wow. Let me bring the light closer look at that. Oh, my god, i'm so obsessed, i'm so obsessed, and it's like a pretty even color, like my like right here, came out a little bit darker, but i wanted that. That'S why i did them last because i wanted it to have like a bit. I want it to be a bit darker at the root and then bolder at the at the bottom. Look at the okay, i'm obsessed, i'm i'm clearly obsessing so yeah. I love how this turned out. I love how this turned out. You guys you guys, but can we just like this - is a little bit brighter, but can we just i'm gon na, go finish, recording the other videos that i'm recording right now and i will see you guys tomorrow once we style my hair and everything. Okay, we are done so, as you guys can see. I went with the braiding hair. Still it's giving like ginger with the red copper at the roots. I like it. I don't think it looks bad at all so yeah there's that um. As far as the color itself, the hair dyeing process, i did figure that the color was going to come out a little bit brighter than what it did, but i'm actually not mad that it's a bit darker this go-round. Once i touch up my hair color, i feel like it'll come out brighter next time, i'm planning on doing a few things differently, so yeah i'll, probably film that process for you guys as well. Obviously you saw what it looked like before i put these twists in, but another thing i didn't come back and vlog my twists with you guys, because i actually already have a tutorial on this exact hairstyle just with my natural hair colors.
