Hey y'all: what's up, this is a 5x5 closure and I'm here to just ask you guys our closures, the new thing our front was cancelled or are y'all still teen front. So we'll let me know, but that's the color, that I'm using on my clients, skin and some of you guys, complain and say that the lace doesn't stick when you use the make up. So you can go ahead and spray. Some holding spray like got stubby gel or the biosilk holding spray and spray on the back of the lace, the same area where you put the makeup at you can go ahead and spray that holding spray and blow-dry it because I just feel like it gives it. An extra hold - and it sticks really really good, while your client holds that down you're gon na go ahead and take the back piece and sew it down, like you see me doing, and the purpose of positioning it like this is because it's not going to give You that traditional closure look, this will give you kind of like a frontal look, and I prefer that look better, because that closure look with the super straight style part. I really don't like that, but this little piece it's very crucial that you go ahead and cut this off, like you guys have seen on my older videos. I always cut this part of the closure off, because this is gon na give you a super flat and super flawless install when you take this little piece out, you can go ahead and take your lace glue, whichever one of your choice, you know, you guys already Know that I, like both hold - and I have the boho active, which is what I'm using in this video and you're just gon na lay the glue down, like you always see me doing, just put it on very thin, smooth it down once it turns clear, you're, Gon na immediately move to the next step, whether it's gon na be to put another layer or whether it's gon na, be to lay your lace down. I use three layers. It gives me a two to four week hold for my clients and myself, and you want to use about this much of the space about half an inch when it comes down to laying your glue. That'S about how wide the length of the glue should be. You guys say that the food doesn't work, it doesn't last, it doesn't stick, but it's probably because you're not using enough glue and I'm not talking about the layers, I'm talking about how much of a space you're taking up like you see me. You know measure it out with my fingers: it's about half of an inch of how much glue you should be using and you're just gon na. Take the lace like you always. Will it's not gon na change just gon na take it lay the lace down into the glue, get a small fine-tooth comb and just smooth it on in. You don't want to use your fingers because that's not gon na be cute. The hair is going to stick to the glue is just don't do that just take the comb into what you see me doing. This is also for you guys who are beginners, and this is a really really good thing. If you don't really know how to plug. I get the question all the time. How do I know if I'm plucking enough? How do I know if I'm not plucking enough? How do I know if I pluck too much so plucking on the clients head? It'S way easier because you actually know how it's coming out and how it's going to look with the finish result when you're plucking on the manikin head it's kind of hard to tell. But you know if you've been doing this for a while you'll know. But for you guys who are beginners, it's best that you pluck on the currents head like you see me doing, because this is going to give you an exact model of what it's going to come out and look like the phone rap that I'm using is Nairobi And I love it, I love Nairobi and of appaji and I love Braille per volume. I know they have weird names, I'll list them down below in the description box, but these are the ones that I love to use and that work for me and I'm sure, they'll work for you as long as you follow all of my steps correctly. If you're new here, I recommend that you watch my videos from oldest to newest you're gon na go ahead and put your head wrap on put your client under the dryer and let that mold down and that's gon na secure. Your lace like that is, what's going to secure your lace and make it last as long as it needs to if you're, just putting the head wrap on your client and blow-drying it by hand, I can assure you that is not drying the way it needs to, And you need to go and buy a sit under dryer, a hooded dryer, whatever you want to call it, you need to go and buy one of those, because that is gon na give you that extra security that you need and once you do, that your legs Will be molded, it's not going nowhere, it's not moving. I can guarantee you it's not going anywhere, then you can go ahead and finish up your styling process. Also, the hot comb is going to be your very best friend. This is gon na give you flawless results. Your lace is gon na lay down super flat. It'S gon na be super natural. It'S your best friend, if you're not experienced with using a hot comb. I do not recommend that you use the hot comb that I'm using I'm using the old-school hot comb that you put on the stove or inside of the Marcel oven, but you can also buy one that you can plug up. He is controlled. The heat will always be the same, so you don't have to worry about much, but I personally think that they don't get hot enough for me. That'S just my opinion, but I know how much you guys wants to see this curling video in depth. I think I'm gon na go live doing a curling technique because it's honestly so hard to record it for you guys and edit it like it's not the same as seeing it in person or doing it. You know, step by step on a live video, so if you want to see me go alive for my very very first time on YouTube comment down below and let me know if you want to see my curling techniques with the flat iron and right now, I'm Just laying grid a little bit when you're doing curls, it's very crucial that you do add light layers, even if you don't want heavy layers, it's crucial that you add layers because of the simple fact that once you've curled the hair and comb it out, it's just Gon na look so bland and so blah, you have to add those layers to give you that. Look that you're going for, like I said, if you want to see me, do this on live. I will just let me know down in the comments if you want to see this technique and another thing that is also very helpful. If you get some holding spray and comb the hair, exactly how you want it, the curls will last for a very long time as long as the hair is of good quality and it holds the curl and you put the holding spray on it and you layer It it's going to be a perfect combination, so I'm here to extra guys our closures in and frontals out, which I say I hope you have enjoyed this video I'll, see you next time. Peace,

Fashionrelse: Closures will forever be my favorite I can’t get down with the frontals!

ediesmiles1: Great Video! I love both; for my new clients trying wigs, closures, or frontals; I like to start with 4x4 closures due to the maintenance and also to increase the growth of the edges from traction aleopcia! The more my clients get educated and the growth is apparent, we may do Frontal pontails, 360, and the basic frontal to provide rest on the rest of the hair/ scalp. As a licensed stylist, I want my clients to grow healthy natural hair, change up styles/cuts/ color without damage! But, Babygirl, I’ve been subscribed just 3!days, and I learned more from you from any hair Youtuber and my Beauty School! Watching and Leaning; Thank You #HairbyEdie in Cali

Jess Harris: Team closures for me! It’s easier lol. Edit: Of course we would like to see your curling techniques! I will have to watch it a few times lol.

Posh Ivy: I could watch you do hair all day!! This is so pretty and done with excellence and care. Your attention to detail is everything! Frontals are great but it's easier for me to maintain a closure. And yes, I would love to see you do a LIVE curling video!! ❤❤❤

Chynamocha: This looks amazing! & I cancelled frontals once I realized you can get this look without all the hassle of a frontal. Closures for the win!

Deja Russell: This is like my 7th video today and i feel like i can do any hairstyle now

Shay Perfect Williams: Thank you for this video sooo much coming from someone who is wanting to learn to do wigs as a protective style! Do you have a video that breaks down the con& pros of a frontal vs a closure or would a glueless wig be the better option? Thanks in advance ❤️

Shandra Cremer: It really depends on the style for me. If I want a bob with a side part a closure will do the trick, if I want to do versatile hair styles I would use a frontal. It just depends on the style and look I'm going for tbh. So team both.

Foreign Queen: Flawless Install Slayed the hell out that closure And as long as your doing the closure They will ALWAYS be in !

MzUnique Forever: I'm so grateful for your videos. I'm learning more from your videos about applying wigs. ❤ Edit: how long should they stay under the dryer?

daskysnotlimited: If you like the versatility of styling your lace like it’s your own, braiding the front down etc. then frontal. Now if you don’t mind rocking the same side or middle part then closure( yes I know you can switch it up a lil, but not like a frontal). As for me frontals had my ❤️ from the start! Thanks again E.J. for the great content.

Moinyaa: Yes to the curling technique! This is amazing

Tamika: as usual. Definitely trying this! Do you have a braiding technique video that you can refer me to or are you thinking about doing one? I think the way I’m doing my braids is deterring me from getting the flattest install possible...

You should look her up I think you would love her knowledge she was ahead of her time. I like both frontals and closure depends on what look you are going for

Therése Howell: Can you remove the side pieces of the closure when making a wig? Will it affect the durability of the wig or will it be the same?

Karen Hull: Seems closures are much easier especially with your tricks!!!

Lisa Brown: Love ur techniques and slay styles. For some reason when I lay lace down with glue it Holds well but as soon as I lay babyhairs with aphogee foam the lace always lift. I use coats of glue and use HOT blowdryer to melt glue into lace. Right after I put aphogee on babyhairs and that's when lace lift. Getting frustrated. Don't know why it lifts. What am I doing wrong?

Brookie Brook: Question: Where do you get lace glues like Bold Hold? Or what are some alternatives that would work as good as Bold Hold?

jilienne sylvester: How long does the closure sew-in last?
