Good morning it is rather gloomy outside. I have to wash my hair because i'm having a flare up, you guys see this. This is what my hair looks like my hairline, when my seborrheic dermatitis starts to kick in, it's so embarrassing. I'M gon na wash my hair and show you guys what i do. But the twist is that i'm gon na keep this threading in to see if i can preserve the style, because i have a very important day tomorrow and i would like to be able to wear it stretched. That was the point: okay, okay, let's get going! Hey loves it's time for me to wash this scalp, i'm going to be using a medicated shampoo. I will link everything i'm using down below. I really love this because it has one percent ketoconazole and it's really great. If you're having a dandruff or you have a flare-up from seborrheic dermatitis like i do, this is a medicated shampoo, so i recommend that you use it for your scalp only, which is what you're going to see me do. I am taking the shampoo rubbing it into my scalp, using the pads of my hands, the pads of my fingers. I don't use my nails, i shave for about five minutes, leaving it on and then i come back rinse and repeat after five minutes. I rinse my scalp. Of course, you know your girl has to wash the actual strands of her hair, so i'm going to be using a second shampoo, that's actually formulated for the hair, washing rinsing, making sure that i can get as much of the product out of the strands of the Hair, while it's still in this african threading style, then i'm moving on to conditioner and i'm gon na focus the conditioner on the lengths of my hair, as well as the puffy roots. I wait a few minutes while i groom i come back and i rinse this is a very simple process. Nothing too intense. I just want to make sure that i can get the strands of the hair washed cleansed conditioned as much as possible, and then i'm going to take my hands and just squeeze out as much of that excess water as possible. And, of course, i'm going to follow up with a towel, you can use a t-shirt. You can use whatever you like. I use towels. You know i have no. I have nothing against towels around here. I don't care about frizziness and all that um, but it's really important that you blot the hair. You don't like rub it all over and that's my wash hey loves, welcome back hair is washed, and i put some of this conditioner on my hair. It'S like more of a moisturizer, not a conditioner. It is the melanin hair care twist, elongating style cream. The reason why i chose this even if it though it's not my favorite um, is because it's a very dry kind of formula and it does have a lot of shea butter, and so the idea is to keep as much definition as possible, whereas if i would Have used something a little wetter, probably wouldn't have you know the hair would have reverted, it would have been a whole thing, and today is the big day i had to put a clip here and i actually had another clip here that i moved to the back, Because the roots were puffing out a lot and two of them unraveled and as you can see, another one is unraveling. I kept it in for two weeks, it's time for it to come out. So that's what i'm gon na do now. Do i have any confidence in this style? Absolutely not, but we'll see what happens begin it by preparing yourself with some really small scissors they're from tweezerman. If i can find them i'll link them down below, but i like using these because it allows me to really get in to those tight spaces of this rubber thread and cut where i really need to cut without cutting my hair, because of course that is one Of the most important aspects of this, you don't want to actually cut your hair and then you're going to take the thread unwinded from the hair strands and it releases pretty easily. I'M actually very happy that i ended up going and getting the african rubber thread uh. As opposed to using like a cotton or something, i think my hair may have potentially been harder to take out, if i use that, so i'm really enjoying this rubber thread, i can't wait to use it again. If i ever do the style again, this process actually wasn't too bad to take out. I think it took me about 30 minutes to take out and it's pretty easy, as you can see those tweezers. Oh they come in clutch. Let me tell you, definitely get you a pair of tweezers when you're doing this process, just in case you run into any snags. I don't have much to say so. Just watch the process, so we've taken the beads out. We have taken this african threading style out and looking at it, i'm definitely not going to be wearing it down and loose like this, i'm so happy i had scissors, i'm so happy. I had tweezers, i'm so happy that i used the rubber thread instead of yarn, because my hair, especially since washing, is already dry. There was a little bit of hair that was starting to get like joined with other sections and kind of got wrapped around the rubber thread, and so this took me like 30 minutes to take out about i'd, say um, so not too too bad. But let me just show you, i mean clearly this. This is not the style. So what i'm going to do is i'm going to take some of this bread, beauty moisturizer, i'm just going to put it on my hair and i'm going to rock it in the state it's in, but like in a ponytail and essentially oh, my hands are too Greasy there we go i'm going to take some of this moisturizer. That is very, it has a high water content, which is what my hair needs, because obviously it looks dry as hell and we're gon na put some of that on there and i'm gon na deal with it another day, i'm gon na probably just separate and then Wash it because i actually had a scalp flare-up before i washed it, which is why i was using nyzerol. It'S gon na have to be washed a second time in like two days so that being said, we're gon na moisturize. We are going to brush a little bit. You know just a little bit just a little bit and we're gon na put it in a ponytail. Why am i keeping it this way because, i'm out of time - and that is the reality of life - sometimes i don't have time to do the desired style, and i have to be satisfied with what i get in the end, and you know what i'm gon na Pop some earrings on - and i think i'm gon na tuck this in i could also add a scarf which would be really cute, but a scarf. It'S just not going to go with my outfit, so i'm actually going to be done. I'M going to put some earrings on and you know this will be the finished, look not the best outcome at all, but it will suffice anyway. I just wanted to show you guys the fact that washing the hair and the african threaded hairstyle, though it does keep the elongation and things i had this in for about two weeks, and i i i'm not sure if this is a long-term style for me because Of the possibility for locking - definitely i don't know if it's a long-term style for me, you know maybe keep it threaded up for a day. Two. Maybe three then take the threading out so that i could have this sort of defined twist out look, but i i feel that the style is very good if you want the african threading with the beading look, but if i want a sort of defined crinkled look, I will just do my normal twist out and have a lot less hassle, so that is the experiment of the day. Your girl is still gon na rock it out very confidently, because you can't tell me nothing. I am happy that i've done the experiment and i'm happy that i was able to share with you. So if you are interested in any of my other videos, i'm going to leave some for you to check out over here. I will see you next time on a monday or thursday. I hope you enjoyed and um i'll see. You then

🌻Sunshine🌻: The wash day seems easy and the style is cute. I didn't know I could use african threading this way and want to try it. I'm currently protective styling with 50 twists with my own hair because I'm busy with exams. They're very easy to wash and redo and has saved me a lot of time.

Zina Mckenzie: I really liked the way you styled your hair at the end. Wise decision.❤

Annyetta: LaToya: "Am I confident in this style? Absolutely not." Literally me, every time I try to style my hair

Tennille Browne: I thought the take down style was cute! I wish I could of seen it separated, I think you could of really rocked that look!

1GoldenBreeze: The take-down style was cute. You didn't like the idea of a scarf but a headband or decorative hairpin might have worked. I could also see a bun with a hair fork. I love up styles decorated with hair accessories and having long hair gives lots of updo options

Cheshire Dj: That is the benefit of length - if you don't like how your hair came out, you can still do something with it! But I think it looked nice. Too bad you didn't get a chance to separate.

Sable 711: Oh I'm sorry you had a flare up but it looks good, the end result. Happy 4th of july!

Starroze aka Kawaiicutiebaby: Thank you for this video it was very informative. It was very helpful ❤️

CShemica: You can't tell me nothing.... yesss sis!

Monique Brown: I like how it looks down and loose❤️

sonicmariodonkeykongzelda86 fan: Liked. Hope you're doing well, enjoying 2022, and staying safe.

MrChevrolet94: You’re such a cutie!!!!

Confused Star-Cosmic: Beautiful ❤️

Apara: So curious of the style you were trying for??? I actually loved the look that came from the take down.

Tees Napz: You think you could use some weave thread for the African threading?

Bri: I shave while deep conditioning.

Jo Green: Thank you

Ruth Willrich: ❤️

Diamond Gilliam: Heyy
