Hey guys Sydney so today, I'm gon na be doing the wrong thing. I'Ve shown you guys how I made this week. That'S on my head right. Now it's a pretty tough weight, so I only have a shoot amount of hair out, and this is a last week that I changed it to a three quick link because it was just too small for my head and my head is so big like it would Not fit so I also didn't take it because I just want to see this tutorial on how I turned this last week into eight 3/4 wig Wow, okay guys so the things you're gon na need are some thread, a needle some scissors, any kind of scissors, and Then the accordion-style wig Holmes - I bought this from my local beauty supply store. I had to search around for them because they weren't that easy to find and then, of course, you're gon na need your full lace, wig or your wig that you're trying to adjust. I have my parts already that I want to cut around, so what I did was. I just took my finger and pulled hair around that part because I'm going to make a u-shape a horseshoe shape to cut so I pulled the hair from the wig and I cut the hair. So I will know where I need to cut when I'm cutting out. My u-shaped part so I'll use this clip to section off the hair that I cut and, as you can see, there's the part that I'm going to cut along so just cut, and then I just did the same thing on the other side. So they left me with my new shape part. So now, what I'm going to do is I'm going to sew the way combs along the perimeter of this u-shaped part that I created so I'm going to cut the length of comb that I need place. The comb on to the perimeter of the wig and then proceed to sew down the comb on to the wig, hey guys. So here is the wig that I made out of the lace week. My turn the full lace wig into a 3/4 week. So here's the u-shaped part, if you guys see that here's, the new shake part that I cut out of the week and then I sold clips along that part and I just use a regular needle thread and just sold the clips along the top portion of the Um comes and along the wig and I sold her to the side, both sides and then I sold em. I think clips I mean combs, wait gums and then I thought wait comes on the back now, I'm going to install it today or put it on today and I'll show you guys how it looks so I'll see you in a bit. Ok guys. So I braided my ear cuz, I'm about to install my wig that I made so this is gon na be about. I left about this much for the horseshoe that I cut out of the week and then I left out my edges, because the wig is too small. If well, it was too small. That'S why I ended up changing it to a 3/4 week because it would not fit on my whole head. I have a really big head, so it would not fit on my whole head. That'S a lace wig Apple last week, so I just decided to turn it into a 3/4 week. So that's a back! The braids are very crooked. I parted with my finger. I could not see I just it doesn't have to be perfect. Cuz, it's gon na be covered anyway, so and the braids are really big. So these are the brace and now I'm going to put the wig on my head. So I'll see you guys, don't look alright guys, so I just put on the wig, as you can see, and the clips in the back or the columns in the back are underneath the brights and then the cones on the side are around my horseshoe that I Left out, so this is the little part and then this portion back here my hair, is covering the wig. The wig stops about right here. What I'm gon na do is try and blend in my hair, that's out and then style it, and then I will come back and show you guys the finished styled look of this hey guys, I'm back in. As you can see, I have cut and styled the wig. It is completely installed. I Flatiron mine, my leave out and it looks really nice. It feels like an inside can't stress that enough, like it's really really easy to do, and I can take it off as quickly if I put it on to moisturize my hair and do whatever I need to do to my hair. Oh, thank you guys for watching and I'll see you in my next video

Karla Jones: Finally a real tutorial. Everyone else was talking too much you actually show us all how you cut the wig. THANK YOU!!!. I'm going to do it right now.

La Moni: I love this, You cut the filming to get straight to the point! Congratulations, you are the first one that I've watched all the way through with Joy!!! Very good video and thanks for sharing how to make the 3/4 wig.

Alexis Griffin: Thank you so much for this video! I brought a full wig today b/c I'm desperately trying to stay away from glue and sew in and I'm transitioning from a short style to a long protective style. I got home and tried my wig on and hated it!!! It was too late to return it so I jumped on here and searched for a solution!!! My hair turned out great!!!! Thanx LOVE

08094denise: Thank u! Searched YouTube and yours was easy to follow, I didn't want to make a mistake on my $359 lace wig I bought a year ago. Now it looks awesome as a 3/4 wig.

TheWashAndGoChick: Thanks for this vid. I just recently purchased a u-part wig and it came with the tiny metallic combs and they are too far from the "border" (the edges of the wig), but your video game me a great idea. Thanks for sharing.

LoveMe4ME30: Omg i was just thinking of doing this to one of my wigs...thank u so much...it looks fabulous xoxox

GGFabulous AndTheyKnowIt: omg this was soooo HELPFUL! i have an old full lace wig and i wanted to cut the front part of the lace because i put ultra hold glue on it so many times but the hair on the wig is still good. i didnt wanna waste it so now i can turn it into a 3/4 wig like u did. it saved me some money on buying new hair. thank you so much !!!

AmarisSuh: Been looking for hours and I finally found this video! Thank you so much! This is the best one I could find

ArTrielK: I love this tutorial, i didn't want to put the lace on my edges because they are thinning out. I dont like using bobby pins either, so your tutorial was brilliant. Thanks a bunch. Now how do you maintain your natural hair so you wint have ti flat iron it often? Like how do you wrap your hair at night?

Msteeree: Thanks for the video.  This was just what I wanted to do to a wig I ordered but I hate the way lace fronts look so I wanted to cut it but wasn't sure how to do it without ruining the wig.  Thanks!!  BTW your head is not too big, I don't think! LOL

Tina Marie Dixons: Thanks for your video, it looks so pretty, great job...I am going to attempt this with wig clips, I too have a full lace that is to small...I hope it comes out as nice as yours!

La Tonia Brooks: Thank you! I bought a lace front and my head is TOO big for it. So now I can do this and don't feel like I wasted my money. Whoo Hoo!!!

AlwayzShaye: Love this idea! Brilliant!

lmwjth1: this is really pretty! your makeup is on point too girl!

BohoNatural86: thank you so much for this. i'm natural but i don't want to put heat on my hair right now and i have wigs from when i was relaxed that are straight/curly and i just saw howto do a heat free setting method to straighten my hair to blend in with weave but i didnt want to go by hair and mess it up lol.

Michelle Singleton: Thanks for the tut... I was thinking of doing this but didn't know how to start....I'm gonna try on my next lace front wig

christinacreations1: Very creative idea and it looks really nice on you

Peacebaby 770: Super cute! Great job!

Kinkycurlycoil: great job! I was thinking about doing this glad u did it now I can try it :) lol

LilMsKissyMissy: So trying this out. I knew it could be done. Thanks

catmo59: Yeah, I do a pretty good job of matching my texture to the weave but it does take its toll on your leave out with all of that heat. I have a more textured weave now and it matches my leave out to a T with not so much heat at all.

VLuvBeauty: Great Tutorial! I have a couple of lace fronts that I'd rather wear as 3/4 wigs. Plus, I don't have time or patience to be making my own 3/4 wigs. I need to find the accordion wig combs. I don't care for those clip things....

sidnetra23: Thats good for you! I hate textured hair, for me I like getting malaysian hair and nothing else, so when I make my wigs thats the hair I use! This next wig I make I am hoping to not make the u-part so big, so I won't have to have to much lave out to flat iron.

Sarah Fradue: Great idea!!

sidnetra23: There will always be a texture difference becasuse the wig is not the same as my hair texture and I dont like to flat iron my hair bone straight all the time. Thanks for the compliment :)

sidnetra23: aww thanks so much! You are too kind!

tina hayes: Great job!

Deidre Gill: do you have a tutorial on your make up you are wearing in this video? I love it

catmo59: You are gorgous and you did a great job. The texture difference is quite noticable but good job.

Miranda Alexis: Thanks... Very informative

Sheena Antoinette: Luv it ♥

sidnetra23: No Problem!! :)

Oshun Lashon: Instead of using combs can I just cut the u-part then sew it onto braids ?

cheana Henry: Would this work with a lace front also?

hawasada77: I love the vid...I have several lace wigs that I no longer wear because of the toll they have taken on my edges and I no longer like the wiggy look..now I can change them to look more natural and use wig combs and leave some of my real hair out. Thx

ecw141685: I will never purchase a stock full lace again. I cant get them to look natural. Great job,i will try this.

chiyere1982: That is soooooo smart of you girl!!!!!!!

sidnetra23: you can for sure use clips. I had clips on another one but there were not working like the combs ;)

Chundra Rambert: That is so much better. When I make my upart wig you can see my tracks and it looks weird. So I will do that instead. Plus I have a lace closure that's damaged anyway.

sidnetra23: Aww thanks!

Melissa K: great video! u look beautiful

sunsetnwaves: Love This ;)

sidnetra23: Thanks. Let me know how it turns out ;)

sidnetra23: @tinamahopac ok great I would like to know how it turns out!

danielle: Good tutorial I would have made.the middle into a wig crown for something else!

Bei Badgirl: thanks so much! p.s. you're adorable!

Melissa K: i am ordering a new wig-do you think this can be done on a wig that actually fits? is it better to get a smaller cap? the next one you'll do-will it be purposely small?

shawanda brown: I would like to know what kind of hair is that and where you purchased your full lace wig because it looks good

sidnetra23: lol thanks hun!! :)

kittyskid1: I have some old wigs that I am going to try this on

Nicole H: What kind of brand of hair/ wg is that and where did you buy?

sidnetra23: it can work on a wig that fits. and the next wig I get wont be a lace wig, I will make it from a wig cap.

oneckya: where did u get this unit from

Natalia Rojas: Can I wear a U part wig with straight bang?

sidnetra23: @ohsodiverse aww thanks Love!

Shay W.: Was there any shedding?

sidnetra23: good luck! Im glad I helped

Goddess AVE: you could have used the u shape that you cut as a closure.

Ming08Mai10: your head is NOT big you just have a lot of pretty hair ... cool vid. now i know what to do with this lace i messed up. thumbs up!!

lisa g: Great Skills!!!

sasha216t: your real hair is so thick and pretty

Judy Bielik: my problem is I have no hair on TOP of my head!  I have a whole wig, but my head is too small and it's not comfortable and it's HOT! How do I cut a full wig into a "top piece"? I have hair, thin, but there, from the top of my ears, down, so, like a balding man :(   Please help, those kind of wiglettes are EXPENSIVE and I'm recently widowed and broke

sidnetra23: Its a full lace wig I purchased from alliexpress

LilMsKissyMissy: I would use clips though

Samantha Keys: You are very beautiful

c hicks: what kinda hair is that?

ESBEAUTII: u look like sanaa lathan
