Hey curlfriends Welcome back to another Episode of BSS. Look for Less Today's video is in collaboration with Sistawigs.com. Today we're creating some removable crochet faux locs., The lovely folks over at Sistawigs sent over 10 paks of the Bobbi Boss, Senegal Faux Locs Dreadlocks.. These are pre-looped ready for crochet braiding dreadlocks.. They also sent over a few little caps., So I thought I would give them a try.. This cap that I have on right now, which I will be using in the tutorial, is the cornrow cap.. I got mine in a horseshoe style.. These faux locs can be done on your own natural hair on a braid pattern.. You can crochet them onto your own natural hair., But or extra protection, and also getting to play around with this new cornrow cap. I wanted to try it out on a cap. This way it would be removable and I could take it off at night., Like I said I'll, be using 10 packs of the Bobbi Boss dreadlocks. They each have 14 locs in each pack. So I used about 139 locs.. I hope you guys enjoy this tutorial.. Let me know what you guys think about the cap.. Do you guys think it's hot or not and I'll see you guys in the tutorial. You'll just need a few items., I'm grabbing my 10 packs of my Faux Dreadlocks by Bobbi Boss.. I got them in a color # 2 as well as a crochet latch hook.. This is what we're going to use to attach the hair.. You can find these in your Beauty. Supply Store. You'll also need cap. If you're going to be making a wig like I am., I'm using a cornrow cap in a size, medium with combs., The style is horseshoe pattern, so I can have a middle or side parting. With this wig.. I just grabbed my mannequin head and popped it on the tripod and I'm just going to attach the cornrow cap onto the mannequin to begin our wig., I'm using my crochet needle and sticking it underneath the cornrows underneath the braid. Take the dreadlock and attach it using The hook as well as the latch to close it over. Pull the loop through open up the loop and take the very ends of the dreadlock to pull it through. The actual loop. I'll run back over this step again, to show you guys in depth exactly what I'm doing., I'm just taking that crochet latch hook. Push it underneath the cornrows., The open loop I'm going to attach to the hook., Pull it through and pull the dreads Through the loop., It's super easy guys You guys will get a hang of it after about 3-4 dreads.. I must be honest when I was making this wig. This cornrow cap was actually a pain to get through.. It'S really hard to get underneath the stitching to be able to push the crochet latch hook underneath the cornrows., It's sewn really tight and it was super hard to get the latch hook underneath those cornrows.. Needless to say, I did get it done.. It did take a lot more effort and time to really get all of the dreads in., But it was definitely worth it.. It was super fun to achieve.. Keep that in mind. If you're going for a cornrow cap., The stitching is really tight on it, especially around the perimeter of the cap.. All of the cornrows at the bottom are really tight and hard to get through.. The middle cornrows are a little bit easier and loose to be able to get through.. As you can see here, the cap is made of a mesh type of material.. It really isn't too heavy on your head.. You could totally workout and everything with this cap. Use. The combs to secure it or the elastic band is good enough for me to at least hold it down.. You have both methods. The elastic bands, as well as some combs of your choice in the cap to keep it secure.. You can totally breathe with this cap.. It'S not heavy and it won't make you sweat. As I progressed throughout the wig. I realized that I had just a few more packs left.. I wanted to make sure that I would get everything covered and that I wouldn't have any sparse areas.. I went back in through the front and started to create my parting.. I wanted a side parting, so I just attached the dreadlocks in the direction of that middle parting., So I had dreadlocks going on the left side as well as on the right side., Whatever dreadlocks. I had left over. I went back in throughout the front to make sure that the front was covered. Last but not least on your last pack be sure to make sure that all of your cap is nice and full. Go back in an add in whatever you have left to the Middle and the back of your cap. Here is the final result.. So the cornrow cap has an elastic band in the front which is really wig looking especially for a hairstyle like this.. So I highly advise that you sew it down or fold it under.. I'M pretty much just tucking the elastic underneath the cornrow braids. Taking a needle and thread. I just sew it down.. I wanted it to be sewn down underneath the cap, so it wouldn't show in the front., As you can see on, the left side is where I sewed it down. On the right side, you can see the mesh-like material as well as the elastic band peeking through Which gives it more of a wig-like appearance., I'm just using the needle and thread to sew it down and just disguising it underneath the cornrows.. This is going to make my wig look a little bit more natural.. It will look like it's my own cornrows and I just have these regular crochet faux locs and not a crochet faux locs wig.. Our wig is complete.. I'M just going to pop this bad boy onto my head. Lay down my baby hairs, so it looks just as sleek and perfected as the dreadlocks. Here are the final results.. I hope you guys enjoyed this tutorial using the cornrow cap.. I hope I gave you guys some inspiration on a new hairstyle or even to try out the cornrow cap for a sew-in or something of that nature.. I love you guys., Be sure to vote in the poll and checkout the other episodes in this series. I'll see you guys in the next one

Otto Sean Christopher Mastuh OSCG 8845 Grimsley: This Dreadlock wig on a cornrow cap tutorial was so cool. I enjoyed watching it.

Renee Joan: I would use the cap as an half Wiig. Thanks for the tutorial! Very inspiring!

T. GREASHAM: Perfection!!! Thank you sis!

Making Memories: Thanks for sharing. I am making my first wig and this tutorial really helps. I had to buy one of these braided caps because the unbraided mesh caps run to small in size. Any suggestions on where I can buy plain mesh caps without braids in a larger size ?

D. TILLMAN: Great Job! Love how well you work.

LisaOfficiallyLive: Wow awesome job been seeing this cap sat my local beauty supply

rockae85: I used the braiding cap to make my wig and it definitely didnt look like a hair hat like someone said. I braided the front of my hair and added the dreads the the front and the wig sat behind it. It looks very natural. I would leave the front like this young lady did.

Highly Favored: They need to make a cornrow cap with a missing section around the top,so you can install a few braids to have a realistic perimeter.

Capricorn Love: Love it Thank you!

Sweetwater Farmhouse: Great video. Very informative.

myjoy1229: When I used a braided wig cap for these same crochet dreads i put the latch through the braid instead of under I found that much easier and I like how you sewed the bad back in the front i was concerned that if I did that it wouldn't fit as snug. Also to save hair I put less hair at the nape. Overall i love these braided wig caps. My hair cant take the stress of crochets this is a great alternative.

tubes200708: LOL'd at the dancing to the music. Really enjoyed this video. The cap is so bulky but you made it work.

Grand poobah: It came out nice. I just think the manufacturer needs to improve the caps, maybe add some baby hair to it. I also think the mesh part of the cap should probably be dark brown.

Kelli Kochenderfer: How many bundles did you use cuz I'm totally going to make my first dreaded wig using this tutorial

crystal ferguson: Hi today I purchased a braided cap with a full bang pattern. Im adding box braids to the cap. How many crochet braids should I add to each braid on the cap? I'm trying to keep the braided cap from looking so bulky. Plus I found it easier to go thru a braid instead of going under the braid. Thank you

Bianca Donnatela: I made a wig using this cap..it's the best

Robert Jean: I Love Love Love this!!!

DeLora: great idea using the briad cap! will try thin

Hannah Faze: With these I would say “big curly like hair” Is better for these so you can hide the front cover everything you won’t be able to notice

Doris Hall: I will try this and it looked great.

Alanda Stevens: This wig cap is very hard to used for braids.. I cut out some of the cornrow still difficult.

Kimberly Peterson: I put the crochets through the braid rather than under.. That way worked better for me. I did the box braid crochets.

Special K: Thank you I was wondering what do do with the front part

DeLora: I was wondering if it would have been easier to just go through the braid?

Bettie McBride: Nice

Naomi Thomas: Thanks for the fold

Flaviagro: Good job I like

linkclicker: That braid cap pattern was made for sew ins with bangs not braids

Arikat B: Great vid. Had to share!

Leqrecia Phillips: Can you do a tutorial on the braided wig cap for senegal twists or lemonade or some type of braids. I am asking for a friend and would like for her to see so she can get an understanding. Also would you only use crochet style packs of hair? Can you please get back to me asap!

denise sanders: If you have enough hair in the front, braid your hair, then pull the crochet cap back a little bit , put some of the dread braids on your braids and on the crochet cap, so you can pull it back so it look natural in the front ,to hide that lace , I'm just saying that's how I would do it if I was doing it

Beauty Smarts: Hi plz tell the brand and style of the wig cap? Thanks

Monica Gaffney: How long does this take

LadyJustice: that cornrow cap is a no for me. its way to bulky and i feel like i get better results with just the netted cap. thanks for sharing though you did a good job.

USNMelanie Daria: Too bulky and obvious. It looks like a literal hair hat. You're suppose to have to guess if it's a wig.

ZaNobii: Thanks

Steff Gmail: I wish this cap came with an opening so you can leave hair out

memoirsofadoll: can you reuse the cap?

Sharon Everett: I like It,l will try this.

Trekiyah Gasper: that cap was designed for sew ins not for the crocheting the braids on the cap are very bulk and make it harder to style the crochet twist/braids/dreads

Driea Lewis: Go thru the braid never under the braid

Dria Mckenzie: Lov ur personality but that cap has to go. The braids on the cap is just a little too big for me and it seems like you use five packs rather than 10 packs cuz I just see nothing but braided hair underneath.. but you did an awesome job with what you had to work with..

S Veal: I ordered one of those crochet caps. I hated it. It was huge and I couldn't get the needle though the braids. I gave up.

denise sanders: I didn't like the crochet cap. I think they should put more braids in the front and try to cover the lace up under the braids so that they look more natural ,like for a person that doesn't have any hair, it would look to wiggish the way they have that crochet cap looking ,I gave it a thumbs down, but your hairstyle I like that

Raphthalia : It's cute but I don't like the fact t that I can see the wig cap at the front

TheFactsAccordingToGabbie1791: You did great but.... I ain't feeling it something about the caps be looking like half wigs.

Naomi Thomas: Go on top of the briad

Raven Cherokee: Now why ya wanna go and do that?

Jessica Cooper: It looks fucked up in the front and the way yu styled em at the end looks crazy

Goddess Corner: Disastrous but not your fault. Please dont wear it outside

Kiarra Brown: No. I know you promoting something but some things are left unknown.

Kayla Ashayé: very obvious

hannah joaquin: i had no trouble

Jessica Cooper: I'm sorry but it doesn't look cute at all but maybe that's cuz ur hair isn't brained down flat

Jasmine Robinson: you went too far

Kem Possible: this looks too fake

jfauntl1: I cannot believe your promoting this. You can clearly tell it's a cap. WTF

with Kmar: This a mess

Charlinda_Is_Her _: No offense gurl but this looked horrible. That cap ain't right..don't where this nowehere

Raquiash Jarvis: Rocky Raquiasha
