So, let's get into the story: if you know me, you know i've been in this little business world trying to hustle because we are hustling hustling all all day around all year round, okay, but this time somebody hustled me: okay, i got hustled anyhow. I know i always got to make sure i say the african way. Instead of the american way, let me stop playing with my hair anyhow, so today we're doing a story time, okay, but before we get into the story, let's do a little rundown, real, quick. My hair is from my vendor it's one of my hair. I have in my previous video i just put some highlight in it and just curl it that's it. When i say the hair is good hair, it's just the installment, because i'm a beginner, it's not all that good. So it's not know what lace? It'S not none of those just literally home girl in a basement is doing whatever she's doing to teach people, and the whole reason behind this channel is because people always ask me how i do the little things that i do like my hair makeup. My outfits people always want to know, so that's why i started this youtube channel to always be able to teach other the little things that i know so. These earrings are from aliexpress. This dress is from rainbow it was twenty dollars and a microcore watch. That'S about it. That'S a little rundown on everything that is on me yup. So today we're doing a story time. Okay, we're doing a story; time story time, okay, about how i got scammed. Yes, i got scammed, so let's get into the story. If you know me, you know i've been in this little business, we're trying to hustle, because they're hustling hustling all all day around all year round, okay, but this time somebody hustled me, okay, i got hustle anyhow. So, let's get into the story. So if you know me if you watch my if you watch my videos, if you haven't seen my old video, my second video was about epidemic. A pedometer basically is a weekend supplement. It'S like a syrup you take and it helps you gain weight weekly like that thing will help you gain weight and it will give you gut, as you can see right here. That'S the gut right here that i got from taking it. Okay. So that's what peterman does so. Basically, it's a wiggity supplement that help you gain weight and after i made my video on it, like hella people kept asking me about it. Like i had a lot of people asking me a lot of people dm me on instagram facebook, snapchat tick. Tock. Do you sell pillow men? Do you sell pillow men? Do you sell pigment, so i was like okay since everybody keep asking about where i get mines from, and i try to look it right in my area, but it wasn't really much in my area and when people have information, they'd be so stingy with it. I don't know why, but that was the case, so i was like alright, i'm looking to it. I'M gon na sell peterman, so i went philly trying to find a vendor. I went to the two african stores that run my way and they would not give me the vendor. You know people don't want to give you the stuff. People don't want to share and that's what basically, this channel is about sharing. I got you but anyhow, so i was like all right. Let me go cause, you know. Usually most of these business get the products from alibaba or aliexpress. So i was like all right. Let me go look into ali express so was alibaba. I went on there. I created an account from my understanding. I thought in order for you to like have a business on alibaba, you have to be verified and it was verified. I just thought i thought you being very far on alibaba means you are legit to be a seller. I didn't know anybody can be verified on it and as a business platform. I think that's something that needs to change, because you cannot have people selling merchandise on your platform that is not verified. When i say verify me address account, like all personal information that is required for this person to sell business on your website, it need to be verified. Okay, you cannot have people comment on your platform to buy things from vendors, so be selling, but they are scamming. People, okay like and it's like there is nothing you can do about it once you get scammed, that's the [, __ ] part, but anyhow, so i thought whoever that was on it. If you were on that, you got verified that mean you were legit, but the whole time. That was the whole, never start so i'll go on. There create an account. I started reaching out to a couple of vendors trying to find a vendor for um. My peter man, sir, so i hit a couple of people up here. A couple of people up and the thing about alibaba is: if you hit people up on there, they transfer you to whatsapp. Maybe that old hit me up on whatsapp, like most of the business owner, would tell you hit them on whatsapp and, if you're new in the business world, i'm not that new, but i'm kind of new in the business world. Yes, i was part of a clothing line, but with that it was more of ordering from a u.s if that makes sense. So with the clothing, you have a business license like with that. Okay with the clothing, in order for it to be verified, you have to show your business license. You have to show the ein number like before you even get onto an account to be able to buy things, so you have to be like they have to make sure you're legit. So i thought it was one of that, but with alibaba is not like that. So, let's go back to the story so i'll go on there. They transfer you to out to to whatsapp. So i found a vendor on it that i, let's communicate to whatsapp, so we transfer to whatsapp. We talk in business. How much you want how much how much you want, how much so each bottle was like five dollars, so if you buy for five dollars, if you, if you buy more, they give you a discount where you can get more for like four dollars. Instead of buying them individually, five dollars because a pedometer expensive like in the us, people are selling epidemic, 25, 30. 35. 40. A bottle. Okay, those things are a legit business. People like me be trying to gain weight. Okay, i'm petite, so i used to try to gain weight. I mean i still do now, but it's not as look alright. Let'S get back to the story, it's not as i used to back in the day as well. I need to gain weight. It'S not like that anymore. I had to slow down, but anyhow, so i was on it. They transferred the business to the phone. So i give him all my information, like you know, you're talking business. How much do you want how often blah blah blah all the information detail and with alibaba you have? They have to show you the location they're at the warehouse, the worker you ask for all, because when you go to youtube, when you try to like look up business and stuff, they tell you when you go, buy things on there, that's what to do make sure They show you all those information and me thinking. I have done my research thinking. I know where i'm going. I asked for all those information and he sent it okay, so i asked he sent and the thing about the business world is people don't really be trying to share? I don't know what it's it's like everybody trying to be stingy. It'S like nobody, don't want to put you on to anything. If people have things they're not pulling you on. I'M sorry like the business world is like everybody want to get on top, but don't want to help nobody else get up there. If that makes sense, like people don't want to share the little ins and out of things it's like, did they get up top just by getting on top, they tried it, they failed and they keep on trying. So that's why nowadays, a lot of people be like? Oh pay me: i will teach you how to do this. Pay me i'll teach you how to do that, basically you're paying for their experience. Basically, they have [ __ ] up and they went back and got it right and now that's what you're paying for. But you, if you don't want to [ __ ] up, you go to them and even with that, to be honest, most people wouldn't be giving you all the tea. Well, that's just me: they don't be giving you everything. It'S like you still have to go that. Go out on your own and still do your own research to find out things even after you pay for things. If that makes sense so um i did my. I did my research research. I did my research and that's what i thought i needed so hey. Let'S go so the total was supposed to be a thousand, but an agreement here is you pay 500 upfront for you to get your merchandise and all that stuff packaged and you for you to get the tracking and stuff, but once the package is getting sent or Like one ex, they may say once it gets to the us department, something it's like basically want to get to the portal of us, so i can go pick it up. That'S when i'll pay the rest of the money. So i'm like i cool, so it's not legit, so this is what a red flag was, but me, knowing that i didn't know much about that business world. I didn't pick it take it to be a red flag. The payment he asked for was from people um, not paypal. The payment method he wanted was from zell, that's a red flag if you're doing business and somebody tell you to sell them, money do not sell them. Okay, do not sell anybody. No money, especially not no. 500., so he asked me to sell him. The money he's told me, i don't know myself, i sell him the money, i sell him 500. So the deal was i sell five hundred dollars and once my shipment gets to where it's supposed to be at, i was gon na pay, the rest of the five hundred all right cool. So i found the 500, so you told me how long that shipping gon na, be it's gon na, be it's gon na take like 14 days to get here, i'm like alright cool, so i paid the first 500. We didn't talk, he sent me, we didn't. He sent me my um tracking number. He sent me all my information like three days later on. He said my tracking information, everything that i needed for the merchandise i'm like cool, so i'm waiting on the fifth day. I get a um text message. He was like. Oh, we have a problem, i'm like what's up what's what's going on, he was like oh um. I forgot to tell you that i'm a middleman when it comes to selling the product. I said what do you mean? He said? Oh basically, i found a vendor for you and basically i'm the one processing. Basically i'm talking to the person that owned the merchandise for you for you to be able to get the merchandise i'm like bless you. So i'm like why they say that from the jump. Instead of like leaving that out, he was like, oh so, basically, the person, it's basically telling me to you, send the rest of the money. They won't be able to send all the product i'm like, so you send the rest of the money. You'Ll be able to get your product. I said shouldn't that be something you communicate with me before you even i sent you money. It was like so he was like yeah. So in order for me to send you all your product, you have to send the money. I'M like okay, so i'm like all right cool. So now my friends are telling me, i don't think that's a good idea because you already got you haven't, got your product and you ought to send the first 500.. But in my case i'm thinking i already sent the first 500. If i don't send the rest of the money, i won't be able to get the rest of my product. So if that's what i have to do to get my product i'll, send them i'll. Send the money, so i hesitated i hesitated for a long time when i tell you i hesitated it's like i don't be trusting my instinct, like you know, to be like listen to your intuition. I don't listen to mine. That'S my problem like my biggest problem here is i don't listen to my intuition that thing be right. Every time i don't listen to it. So my smart ass sell another five hundred dollars to this man, so he was like. I got the money be on the lookout for your product, i'm alright cool, so my tracking mind you, you get a legit track unless i don't know much about business, but it was a legit tracking number where i could track track the merchandise okay. So he gave me some type of information to make me believe it. Okay, so i'm tracking my epitome, while i'm waiting for it for like a whole week, go by the second week. So i'm like all right. Okay! So now the product is at the basically it's at the departure side, basically when they send products from like china you're supposed to go pick it up from like this sorting site in your area, because each area has different sorting sites. You also still pick it up from there, so apparently my merchandise was at the spot and i had to go pick it up, so he was like, even though it's there, they won't give it to me until i pay another 500, i'm like for what it was Like oh yeah, that's how it worked after your merchandise, get in the u.s. You have to pay 500 to get it from them. I'M like no, the [, __ ], i'm not doing that! He was like. I was like. Let me just call this person, i'm calling! No respond. I thought it was a i'm not trying to be racist because on a profile picture they had a white man on there. Okay, so i didn't. I just thought that was the type of person i was talking to, but i kept calling the number and the answer and the person that answered sound nigerian. That'S when i knew i was scammed. Okay, i'm not trying to be racist, because i'm african, i am african, i'm a full-blown african national born african, i'm from west africa there's no way i can be racist or the african okay, but once i make that phone call - and i heard a person in the Background it was a nigerian guy. I knew i was [ __ ]. I knew i was [ __ ]. I knew i was done so i'm in i'm on the phone, i'm like hello. He was like ma down my dom. Do you want your product or not? I'M like dwell with my product or not. I already paid a thousand dollars. You don't think i want my product. He was like what, if you want to pick it up, you got ta, send the rest of the 500. 500 for what i just paid. You. One thousand dollars eight time about pay another 500., it's not funny! So i'm like i'm, not sending you another 500.. He was like well ma'am. If you want to do your business and you want your business to start, you have to send the 500, because if you don't send the 500 you're not going to get your product, i'm not yo. I just pay you one thousand dollars. Why am i about to say another 500 for what so i kept calling, and i called zell they'll say: basically they can't do nothing about it, because you can't do nothing about it and the whole time zl. My zelda account was connected to my bank account. So i'm thinking since my sale account was connected to my bank account. That'S something my bank was going to be able to do after zeal said i couldn't do nothing. I called my bank, my bank said there's nothing. They can do so. That was the run of my one thousand dollars. I call this man the number at a certain point. It got. Do i look up the name he gave me to cash out. I mean zelda money to the look, the well the number and the name he sent. When i looked it up, you know it's crazy. The number was a u.s number, it wasn't a nigerian number, so i don't know how would that work so can it be in nigeria and be using the u.s number? That'S why i didn't even know it was nuns people. So basically that's how i got scammed. So i never got the money back. The bank said there's nothing, they could do. Zell said it could nothing, they could do that's why to this day, i don't have zel, i'm not using zell for nothing. Nothing i'm not using zelf for nothing, because you can't get none of your payment back if you use out, but yeah. That'S how i got scammed. I never got that pediment. There was no epidemic and no freaking boulder for nothing. No shipment didn't come in that tracking number was fraud. Everything was a fraud so that one thousand dollars went in veins. Okay. That was my story. Time of how i got came for a thousand dollars from a business that i tried to start.
