How To: Lay Your Lace Wig | Start To Finish Bob Tutorial Ft. Myfirstwig For Beginners

Hey loves is so fresh time and today's video is going to be a wig tutorial for beginners. So if this is your first time purchasing a wig, I'm going to show you guys how to lay and style that baby. So if you're interested, of course, keep on watching the wig I'm going to be using today is from my first wig, which comes in a black box like this very simple that has my first wig on it now inside the box. It comes with a couple of things. This is a pamphlet that basically gives you instructions on how to lay your wig. It also gives you information on how to use the products that they have provided inside of that little black box and those products are a foldable wig stand which can be used to air dry, the hair after washing, as well as just storing the unit when you're, Not wearing it, then it comes with a rat tail comb and then inside this bag it has a little bit more products and I'm just going to show you guys. So the bag comes with it as well. It comes with two clips that you can use for the wig, it comes with bobby pins and it also comes with a wig cap. Now I love the simple fact that they provided a wig carrier. This is amazing. You can just store your wigs in that bag and this is what the wig actually comes in this plastic bag. So, let's talk about the things you will need to slay your first wig first off you're, going to need a pair of scissors you're going to need a rat tail comb, flat iron tweezers, some edge control, of course, and some holding spray. So let's go ahead and get started, alright love, so I just basically have my hair braided, underneath some people like for their hair to be braided in a certain way or a part in a certain style just so when they put the unit on top of the Part it's more of a transparent thing, but I don't really care to do that because I do add powder or foundation on top of my part. So it really doesn't make a difference with me. So here is the wig and, as you can see, it comes with two combs on the and one comb on the crown area. It also comes with adjustable straps in the back. Now. Here is a actual look at the lace. This is what you're going to cut in order to blend in with your hairline. So what you want to do is take a pair of scissors and cut as close as you can to that hairline, you want to try to avoid clipping any hairs or baby hairs. If you want baby hairs to remain on your wig and while I'm showing you guys how to cut this lace out of the unit, I'm going to tell you guys a little bit about my first weeks now. My first wig is a branch out from our PG show, so it is a sister company and my first week provides quality wigs for beginners at an affordable price. I will have all of the purchasing information below in the info bar as well as information on this wig. Another thing to keep in mind when you are cutting the lace of your unit is to just follow the outline of the unit getting as close as you can to the hairline, of course. So as you can see, I've finished up cutting the front of the hairline. Now, I'm about to go straight across and cut the back of the lace. So this is what your unit should look like after you have cut the lace so now we're just going to go ahead and put the unit on, of course, adjust your straps in the back. If you need to and of course, adjust the combs on the side to get a secured fit now some people add Barbie pins to their unit, just to give it more of a secure tight fit. I don't do that so to each is on again. Those bobby pins do come in you're, my first wig beginner kit. So, as you can see, you can pretty much part the hair anywhere because it is a full lace. Wig also, this week already came pre-styled. Of course you can add some tweaking to it, but it's a 12 inch in the back and a 18 inch in the front. So now I'm just going to show you guys how to style it and I'm going to take that rat tail comb, that's included in the package and part my hair, I'm just going to try to get a straight hairline as possible and I'm just making sure the Hair is straight, and I'm just going to take one of those clips that was in the product package as well, and I want to take some tweezers and I'm going to lightly plug the hairs in the hairline. And this will basically just give you more of a natural part. You will be able to see more of a illusion of a scalp instead of seeing like those little black beads, that's at the base of the hair, so I'm just lightly plucking it. You want to make sure you be careful with that, because you can mess up the lace. You can put a hole in the lace if you're too aggressive and just pluck a little bit at a time and just go in a straight line depending on where your part is now I'm going to take my QVC flat iron and I'm just going to flat Iron, the hair a little bit to give it some shine and a little bit more body than what it already has and I'm just taking huge sections, nothing in particular, and once I get to the top, I like to take a small section and use my flat Iron to flatten the top a little bit, because with wigs you can get that hump. So flattening the hair at the top with a flat iron will definitely help the hair to lay down a lot flatter, which will also look a lot more natural and not like a wig. I love the silk texture on this wig. It feels really nice and looks really nice with the wig as well. So real quick. I want to show you guys how the unit looks being flatiron compared to not being Flatiron. As you can see, one looks a little bit more straighter and flat than the other side, so I'm just going to continue with flat ironing my hair, and I am really impressed by the quality of this wig from my first wig. It'S very nice quality, very silky hair, it's very full. I was very surprised by that. I thought it was going to be some type of drawback from getting the real deal from our PG show, but there's really not any drawback. So far as you can see, the hair is very bouncy and full. I love it very cute, alright. So to avoid your wig from looking Wiggy, you want to take out some of your edges now. I have very fun, naturally thin edges, so I really can't take out that much and plus I have my edges braided in my hair, make sure you don't do that. Make sure you take out some of your edges just a little bit of spine, and basically this is just going to give you more of a natural look and you're just going to slide your wig back a little bit. So I'm going to be taking the Moroccan edge control and I'm just going to use that to tan my edges and lay out flat a little bit. Oh, yes, girl make sure y'all use some edge control of something to tame them edges, because it makes a huge difference on your wig and, as you can see it's already starting to look natural like you really can't tell where that part begins. It really looks like it's coming out of my scalp, so that's a good thing. Alright, so I'm going to do a little bit more tweaking and tweezing to the part. I want it to be a little bit more wider and defined. So it looks like I got. The look that I'm going for so now, I'm going to take a curling iron, whatever size you want is perfectly fine. Basically, this curling iron is going to allow the hair to lay even flatter, on top of your head, the flatter the better, because it's just going to look more natural, more pressed out less Wiggy and, as you can see, it's already made a huge difference. I also like to use my curling iron to attain those Flyway hairs that is so commonly found in, for last week's, also guys be very careful not to burn yourself when doing this process. Now I'm going to take a little bit of my foundation, which is in my natural skin tone and apply that to my hairline. This is just going to give a more natural, transparent, scalp. Look. You can use powder or eyeshadow to achieve this look as well! Next, I'm going to be using some holding spray, and this is another method. I love to use to tame those flyaways that didn't quite make it all the way down when I use my curling iron. So I'm just going to spray a little bit at the top and, as you can see, it's already making a huge difference with the flyaways blending in with the rest of the hair. This is some really nice hair. I love this unit. I'Ll probably do a little bit more cutting in the back, because I think I want it to be a little shorter, but I will do that on another video, but this wig is perfect. I love the it looks so natural. You can't even tell where my part begins, like it literally looks like it's coming out of my scalp gorgeous.
