3 Bixies From Paula Young: Compared!!!

Hi everyone welcome back to my channel today we're going to compare three bixies from paula, young bennett, jc and danielle coming right up, hi everyone, i'm coco - and this is coco's hair solutions. Today we're going to take a look at three bixies from paula young. They look so similar in the catalog pictures. I wanted to take a look at them myself and see what they were, what the differences were, so they are danielle, jc and bennett. Danielle is from the whisper light. Collection, jc is from the versafiber collection. There we go and then bennett is from our yes, bennett is from the uh euro collection, so we've got a couple of things that are similar and a couple of things that are not so similar, but we're going to go ahead and take a look at them. All right now, okay, so let's take a look at danielle now this is what she looks like in the catalog. This is in the color um angel's wing and this particular color is silvery moon. It'S the sf series, so they are um. She'S got some particular color applications that are only available on this model. If you want, she comes in 22 colors, then we have jc. Jc is looks like this in the catalog and she is the versa fiber uh in the color angel's wing rooted. So you get a similar treatment with the darkness at the nape and all the lightness around the crown and the front of the of the wig the same as you do with the sf um and she comes in seven colors only, but they are all rooted and If you're familiar with the versa fiber line, then those are the same seven colors that she comes in and then we have bennett. Bennett looks like this in the catalog, so you can see how they all look very similar, but they're a little bit different and bennett is in the color royal silver, which is the rooted silver. She is also a whisper light product, but she's part of the euro line. Now, let's go ahead and compare the oh, the colors that she comes in there's six colors. They are all rooted as well, so let's go ahead and compare dimensions. Alrighty weight wise danielle is 2.2 ounces. Jc is 2.7. The versa fiber fibers are always a little bit heavier and then bennett is 2.3 ounces. The they are all only available in average size, and so let's take a look at the dimensions on danielle. The front is six inches on jc 5.5 inches, so the only half inch difference in the front and then on bennett that it's six inches so so far these guys are identical on the top and crown area. So that would be the the center of the top of the wig and then the crown area, six and a half inches on danielle five and a half inches. So we've got a little bit shorter length up here. You can see how this is not as long as all of this so six and a half five and a half and six and a half. So this is identical again. Danielle and bennett are very, very much the same. The sides are three and a half two and a half and four and a half, so we have a little bit longer sweep over here. We'Ve got longer sides than jc and ben or danielle so, but so far, then our jc is always being shorter. The upper back upper back area right up here, four and a half inches on danielle three and a half inches on jc and then four and a half on the upper back on bennett so again identical with the exception of the size they're a little bit longer. On the sides there and jc is much shorter, but you're noticing that everything is kind of proportionate on the shortness, so it could be like this could be a grow out version of this okay and finally, the nape on danielle is two and a quarter inches. This is one and a quarter inches and then two and a quarter inches. They come in 22 colors, seven colors and six colors. They all. Let'S we'll, have to take a look at the um cap construction, but they all have an extended nape. I found that, but there are some center or top cap differences between this one and those two. Okay, all right. Let'S take a look. Well, let's, let's take a look at the profile, how it looks all the way around on the model? Okay, so this is danielle. She looks a lot like what the picture shows us and then jc now that we know her dimensions. We can kind of take a look and say: uh-huh yep, that's a little bit shorter, she's, a little neater and trimmer in the back and on the sides. So you get a shorter appearance and then, of course, with bennett dimensions are all the same. We just have a little bit longer length on the sides for her okay. Now i know that the cap construction for both bennett and danielle are exactly the same. So what we have is a really nice wide band velvetine band here at the front hairline we have open cap construction with wefting all above on the crown or the top area. The crown is closed for the addition of some permatease to help us be able to style this a little bit better. We also have open ear tabs on both sides, which is identical on bennett as well, and then we have the open, extended nape with the velcro adjusters. So danielle and bennett are exactly the same in that regard. Let me go ahead and pull up jc. Okay, now jc's a little bit different. Okay, she has a standard one-half, inch front, velveteen band, it's not an enlarged band, so it's a little bit smaller still has that nice soft fabric on there. The cap is completely closed, so the top is got a little bit more permatease on it and it's not going to be as cool as the other two wigs. Of course, we have um open wefting everywhere we have open ear, tabs with state metal stays and then, of course, the open. It'S not open. It'S a closed, extended nape. So all three of these have an extended nape. The other two girls have um open, extended nape, and this is closed um it they all have the open, ear tabs. They all have the open ear tabs. But the thing i wanted to mention about the extended nape, you know: we've got the measurements for the nape on the dimensions that we we covered earlier. But what happens is when you have a wig with an extended nape and you have added length or longer length. You'Re going to get a whole lot more coverage on your neckline, so for someone like me that has hair growing down quite a ways on my neck, the extended nape plus at least a two inch nape hair length is going to give me far more coverage than A standard neck and maybe a one inch or a one and a half inch. I won't be able to cover everything. So you might want to think about that when you're trying on any of these pixies that we're looking at or if you wear pixies at all, that can make a difference on the kind of coverage that you get in the back alrighty. Are you ready to try these girls on? I am okay, okay, we'll start with danielle. What i've got on today is jacqueline smith's new director's cut. It'S a modern, take on an old-fashioned shag. Isn'T she fun she's a lot of fun and of course i have my square band, just a simple little addition to putting it on so we'll take her off and we will go ahead and put danielle on okay. Well, here we go. She'S got lots of length like we knew six inches up here. What is it four uh front is six inches yes and then six and a half inches on the top. So let's go ahead and she was meant to be parted on the left. We'Ll follow the styling directions and see how she looks now. I did do a review on danielle on another video in my library, so you can go, get a real, thorough exposure to her she's, a really fun fun, wig, so um, we'll just kind of play around a little bit real, quick, bringing first of all those those Side areas to cover - and of course i really like when i'm wearing this one, i like having it behind my ears - i've got a little bit of a wave. Can you see that little wave here? Of course, that would be somewhere where i would use my hot air brush. So let's go ahead and see how she looks just straight off the mannequin without touching up a whole lot: okay, i'll just kind of sweep these forwards. So we're wanting to look at the length of the size, the profile. How far up does the profile go with the um with the upper back length that will make a difference? Okay, i'll just make a turn here. Looking at the nape coverage feels really nice. Okay, it's got some really nice movement, some ability for height. I am seeing that wefting just a little bit right there, so that probably means that we need to make sure that the hair fibers are coming kind of sweeping forward a little bit more. That will take care of that and, of course, you know we can style her up down backwards, forwards, left, right and, of course, of the styling ideas you can see on my other video of danielle all right, so this is danielle for the bixi comparison. Let'S go ahead and put on jc. No, you know what i'm going to do, i'm going to put on bennett next, because these two girls are very very similar. Let'S look at the differences all right, so we are making a mental note of how far it goes down the sides, that's where the main difference is, but everything else should be really close to the same right. Okay, so let me take her off okay. Let'S get that situated now. This is the same wig. She has a little bit longer sides yup than danielle. Okay, so looks really close to the same to me, but she is rooted now, of course, being that she um on danielle. She comes in so many other colors. You can get whatever color you want and put roots into her if you like, so we've got a little bit longer top, though on her as well. So we are looking at how in the world, let's see so we're parting. Her from the side and seeing what she looks like it looks like i've got a little bit of hmm and it could be just the difference between each wig. You know the um. The bangs are fitting me a little bit better on this wig uh. But let's look at the the profile and the nape and the side view. Okay, i did have that okay, so i can see the length right here. The length is about an inch shorter or longer on this wig than it is on danielle. Let'S see what it says: yeah, it's a full inch longer, so this is longer on this wig than on danielle and then the upper back is a little shorter. Let'S take a look. Oh excuse me. No, that's! That'S not on this way, they're, both identical, so the profile should be really close. It has the same length of nape with the extension. Let'S turn around okay. Now i have not combed her completely she's, not perfect. If we see some wefting through there um, we can adjust that okay. So this gives you a little bit smoother appearance down here, instead of being layered. Quite so much, i've got her kind of at my hairline, okay, so they're close, but i'm noticing that this has less volume. On top, i'm sure that we could tease it up and give it a little more height just by finger combing. We can okay so and of course she she can go both directions, i'm sure yeah both directions, parting on either side, she's cute and then, of course, we could bring her forward. I always like to try it in all different directions: north south east, west, flatten it out, give her lots of height spritz her up, give her some water anyway yeah. So we can see that there is some similarities, but there is a little more flatness on the top of this girl than there is on the danielle, so bennett and danielle all right. Now, let's go ahead and put jc on this is rooted and jc is rooted. So let's go ahead and do that now: okay! Well, this cap fits very, very comfortably. So this you can see a big difference right away. It'S more angular! Isn'T it it's going to be shorter on the sides. The cap is fits wonderful. Let me there we go so we have to kind of comb those parts around the face. This is kind of what she's meant to look like from the picture in the catalog okay yeah, and i would say that i've got good coverage with her. You know, even though it's a shorter bob or bixi yeah, let's go ahead and with the extended nape, it's an inch shorter in the hair length than danielle and bennett. So let's take a look at what she looks like okay, do a little spin here definitely shorter. All the way around very neat and flat and clean feeling, even i don't feel any fringe around there, which feels very nice, and that would be wonderful for uh summer as well alrighty. So she definitely has this side sweep appearance and it's a real, distinct look, and you know if you like this look, this is the wig for you, it's really nice. Now, let's see, and that was without a whole lot of fussing. Let me try it the other direction. Okay, now this gives it a little more volume. Doesn'T it okay? So we can pull it back. We can try to pull it more in the lateral direction. So go this way or even go back a little bit the bangs. We could probably play with and and even them out whether you like to have a little trail of bangs going this direction or you want to have them all going that way. You can train it with your hot air brush or because this is a versa. Fiber product, you can use a curling iron up to 350 degrees if you want to have add additional curl or if it's not being coaxed very easily, be sure and get it warm enough and curled in the direction that you want and make sure that it stays There until it cools completely so that may mean that you remove your heat source, such as your curling iron and then take a little. You know curl it a little bit and take a a clip and set it in place and then let it cool by itself until it's completely cool that will set the curl and it will be like that permanently until you add heat to it again. So this is definitely a shorter version of the other bixis. Isn'T it so just depending on what you like and what will fit you well. This has the standard versa, fiber cap, which feels so comfortable to me. It doesn't have any it feels like it. The elastic in it has more give and is stretchier. So it's not snug. It'S not it's not as snug. Now, of course, it's snug enough for me to make sure that it's not going to fall off and, of course i have my wig grip band on as well. So just depends on how you secure your your wigs, but you know this almost looks reminiscent of a victoria. No, doesn't it so anyway. Well, these are the three bixies that i chose out of the catalog that looks so similar and i was just so curious to find out what the difference is and now we know don't we.
