Wig Review! High Octane By Raquel Welch In Shaded Sand For Wigsbypattispearls.Com

Hi everyone Aaron here from real wig fun, thanks so much for joining me. So today we're going to take a look at a Raquel, Welch style. This isn't a new style. It'S actually part of their fall 2020 collection, but this is called high octane and I have high octane in the color shaded sand, so stay tuned. So, as I mentioned, high octane is not a new style, but unfortunately I was unable to get my hands on it. When it came out in 2020, but I was eager to give this one a try and bring you my thoughts on this particular style, so high octane is a synthetic HD. Fiber wig made out of Raquel Welch's true to life heat defiant fibers. So what that means is that you could add more curl. You could straighten this if you wished, but just keeping that temperature on the lower end in and around 300 degrees. So, as you can probably see, high octane is a long layered Style with sort of soft casual beachy waves. It'S absolutely beautiful, but I will tell you the one thing that I did to high octane right out of the box. So when I got this out of the box, I would say that the curl pattern was definitely tighter, then you're, seeing it right now. So all I did was, let me grab it. I used my wide tooth comb just to comb out some of these waves and use that and my fingers just to sort of manipulate the fibers. I prefer it with more of this casual brushed out wave pattern than how it first came out of the box, but that's all I had to do to it. So high octane has a temple to Temple lace front. It has a full monofilament top and it's made of Raquel Welch's memory cap three construction, which I find to be really comfortable. So I have a 22 inch circumference head. It'S fitting me great right out of the box, so why don't I go ahead and get up close so that you can see the lace front on high octane? I think the lace looks really good. You will see on this color shaded sand that that lighter highlight is brought up to the front. So the lace front is coming from Temple to Temple and you have that full monofilament top so that you can part that anywhere within the top of that monofilament section, which is really great for flexibility. You know it allows you to part it on the right on the left or in the middle okay. Why don't? I do a turn so that you can see high octane on all sides, so I normally talk at this point about the ability to ear tuck, because I am a big ear. Tucker and absolutely you can tuck it. I mean I probably wouldn't tuck the whole thing back, but I do like how it looks with just whoops with just sections of this tucked behind my ears. Okay, so there's my front - and this is my right side, the back the left side and then back to the front. So before I go ahead and take the cap off, so I can show you the inside of that cap. Why don't we talk a little bit about the dimensions on high octane, so these front sections here are 10 and a half inches. So for reference, my hairline to Chin measurement is seven inches. That'S important because it'll give you an indication of where these different layers will fall on your face. Okay, the crown which is measured from here down is 12 inches, the sides are 13 inches and the nape is an is 11 and a half inches which gives you these really great layers. I think they're quite beautiful and then all together, high octane weighs 5.36 ounces. Okay: let's go ahead I'll, take high octane off so that I can show you the inside of this cap. As I mentioned earlier, it is Raquel Welch's memory cap, three construction, one of the components of memory cap 3 - that you will see is the silicone along the wafting sections here. What does that? Do? It really helps to grip that wig to your head, provide? You know Security in keeping that wig on your head. You have the full monofilament top, which gives you that great flexibility to be able to part this style anywhere within this space and still get the illusion of scalp. And then you have the lace front, which I think looks really great. It does go into the top of the ear tabs, you have felt covered, ear tabs, they do have metal stays and what metal stays are. Is it allows you to push this into the side of your temple, which helps to hold these ear tabs close to your face? And then you have the extended nape velcro adjusters, which allows you to adjust this cap to fit your head circumference in all transparency. I think I'm actually liking this style more. The more that I have it on my head and the more that I'm playing around with these waves. Like I said earlier, when it first came out of the box, these waves were Tighter and the wig felt bigger to me. Okay, so particularly in this section here, the curl pattern - and you may see that it's sort of doing this funny thing here - what I've been able to do is just sort of twist that back into the style and manipulate these waves a little bit and just by Playing around with these waves with my hands, I'm finding I'm liking the way the layers and the wave pattern is laying much better versus how it was straight out of the box.
