How To Make A Closure Wig! | Detailed Beginners Install! + Giveaway

Make me hey guys, welcome back to my channel, it's your girl, marimba, it's another wednesday. I did it. I did it just for you guys in today's video i'm doing something that i have never done before and that is making my own weight. I have done this before. What am i talking about, i'm doing something that i haven't done in years. That'S what i meant to say. I have not done this in years. Okay, i'm pulling out all the tricks that i've learned in my early 20s and i'm gon na make myself a hot glue, gun wig out of beauty supply hair. Okay, what's up hey you all ready to make this wig, you guys ready to make the best wig you've ever made, thus far, i'm just kidding so anyway. First things: first, you need a mannequin head. Yes, i know you probably didn't realize. No, you need a mannequin head, whether it's the styrofoam one or this one, which i got off amazon, it's my favorite um it just kind of imitates, my actual head size. So i like this one, you need a plastic bag. You want to put that over your mannequin head and then you want to go in with a dome cap. This is my favorite dome cap ever four years. Okay, it just it's not too stretchy it. Just i just like this: okay, then you're gon na stick, pin everything down with the wig pins, make sure nothing moves and then you're gon na grab your lace closure. This is by shaking go it's a five by five lace: closure you're gon na pull it. Maybe about an inch past, the dome cap, or so just slightly over and then you're going to tack it down with the wig pins, just make sure everything doesn't move out of where it's supposed to be just make sure everything stays in place. You know all right so, as you can see, your closure has now been tacked down with the wig pins, it's nice and flat in the place that you want it. Um you're gon na grab your needle and thread and begin to sew down one side super important step here: okay, pay attention: this is how you keep your closure flat. You want to sew down this one side only and then, when you finish with that side, do not continue to the back cut the thread off and then knot it secure it. However, you secure your thread and then move to the other side. I think i show you here coming up soon: um! Yes, so right here, i'm gon na stop! I'M gon na cut the thread off. I'M not gon na sew down the back. I'M not gon na continue and then i'm gon na go to the other side and sew the other side down and then sew the back last. That'S how you make sure that your lace comes out to be super flat with no lumps no like weird bubbles. You know so that's a tip tip and a trick. Definitely do it like that and then do the other side. So there you go now you want to pull out your hot glue, gun and simply just hot glue gun your tracks down. That'S pretty much it um. I like to go in a straight line at the bottom and then kind of do a slightly: u shape as i get towards the top. It'S really important how you glue your tracks again, you want to make sure everything is kind of flat, otherwise you're going to get a bulkiness in the middle. So try to stick to you know going straight across and, as you get to the top, that's when you're you'll make that more. You define shape. That'S personally, how i like to make my wigs and it comes out, not bulky every single time. Well, i've definitely messed up sometimes, but this worked out for me uh this time around, so you know try to stay as close as to this video as you can, and you should be fine, so yeah that's pretty much. It then you're gon na let the wig dry for about i just let i just let it sit on the plastic for about an hour and then i pulled it off and everything was fine good to go. I put it on my head. I didn't need an elastic band, it fit perfectly so yeah, that's how you make a wig. You guys a hot glue gun wig super easy way faster than sewing. So if you want to try it, i would definitely give it a try. Watch a few other videos. Maybe i'll link some videos um if i can find some good ones and i'll link it in the description that way, you guys can you know, watch a few before you attempt to try yourself if it's your first time. So, hmm all right, you guys. So you just saw me, make a hot glue gun wig, which, by the way i haven't done in years when i say years, girl is not lying, it's been years, so i really hope i haven't tried the wig. I really hope that i finessed it. This is the wig um. The reason why i haven't tried it on well one: i need to break i'm just tired. I have to take a break from filming two. I wanted the glue to completely dry, so it's been on this mannequin head for about an hour. Maybe an hour and a half, and so it's ready to take off so i'm just gon na take it off comment down below, if you guys make your own wigs or, if you're more into like buying them comment down below. Also, if you still buy beauty supply hair, if you like it better, let me know i want to see what's what y'all thinking, so my memory card was full, not sure why i left off, but if this part was cut off, what i did was basically cut Off the elastic cap on the inside and once you've done that you just want to cut off the lace once you put it on your head, that's it! So! Let'S try it on all right, so i'm gon na try it on. Oh, my gosh. I haven't made a wig in so long. It fits so good yeah yeah. This wig fits good. I am not exaggerating. I have not made a wig my own wig in like three years. I'M not exaggerating. Are you serious? Are you serious? Why is this closure? Looking like this, why is this closure? Looking this good, i am confused. This lace looks better than like some top wig companies like well, i'm not gon na, say no names, but that's unbelievable. I might just be at the beauty supply buying lace, closure. What is happening? Okay, we're gon na go with the middle part, because it is just a closer and it just feels more comfortable right there yeah. Let me be right back anyway, i'm just going to pull that down and we're just going to push backwards with the cone. Honestly, a closure wig, you don't really. I don't even know if you guys hear me, but a closure wig. You don't really need to glue down that much for it to stay on, because the elastic band on the wig you know keeps it pretty secure. So i got my hot comb: i'm just gon na flatten out the hair on the top. Do this i wan na go for the wet look. Might as well all right, you guys, so i just have to say i see that part. My sister called me and she couldn't even believe that this was beauty supply, hair. She was over my house when i was making it and she told me that when you were making it girl, i didn't even know so yeah, i'm very pleased. I decided to go with the wet look because i really don't do middle parts very often, but i really like how the lace looks and i feel like wet, looks kind of accentuate the lace with the baby hair and i just think it looks so freaking good. The hair is so soft. I can't get i i am in awe. I am in shock that this is packaged hair like anyway um. This is a full transformation, so i'm gon na do my makeup. If you guys don't wan na see me do my makeup, that's the end of this video. This just might be my new go-to full lip on wig like i don't even need any any like elastic. I need nothing.
