Hey guys, welcome back to my channel. It'S your girl, jim rodriguez, and i am back with yet another summertime fine series, hair review with the last hair review, because i'm days away from vacay okay, so we got ta round this out and start packing some stuff. So today's hair review will be on this realistic, kinky edges, 7x5 lace, wig from i like haircom. I have so many thoughts about it. I cannot wait to begin to tell them all so, let's go but first before we head into anything else, you got ta make sure you subscribe to my channel. So let's go here's some goodies included. We love goodies so before we put the wig on we're going to go ahead and give it a nice wash. So i'm going to fill the sink with warm water and asthma. Shampoo, i'm using redken's extreme shampoo, we're going to put the wig inside and dip it into the water and manipulate the hair in a downward motion. It'S really important that you don't go back and forth because that could dry out the curls i'm going to give the hair a nice rinse and after conditioning i'm actually going to do a mask. I'Ve never done a mask on my wigs before, but with this texture, it's a kinky, curly texture. I want it to be nice and moisturized, so i'm using ginger milk's the generous moisture mask i'm going to start at the ends and work. My way up really focusing on those hairline curls because baby they going to work today, okay, they're part of the special feature of this wig, so i want to make sure they look really really good and moisturized. So here's the hair after being washed, looking nice and shiny and luscious and here's the hair about 60 dry. So let's go ahead and put her on. So, first of all, that lace is looking nice and transparent right, not too much of a light cast on the skin, which is really nice. So, as most of you know, i don't bleach my knots, so i'm going to add a little makeup to the inside of the wig. I typically use the darkest color over here that i contour with so that way it blends right into my contour makeup. I don't have a wig stand, so i'm just going to try to attempt to use my hand to safely get that wig to balance and i'm going to put some makeup on the inside of that wig just using a pat, pat pat method, any more makeup. I will add, after the fact, but look that's how the inside of my lace is looking now and it's just adding a little more natural look to that lace. Before i cut my lace, i'm going to do a couple sprays of the got to be spray. Now, if you haven't got to be glue, then definitely you can use the glue or whatever hair glue you want to use. I only have spray because you know i try to keep it really nice and easy around here. Okay, so i'm just going to go ahead and do a few sprays across the forehead use my finger to kind of spread it out, so it doesn't drip into my eyes or on these brows child. I think i told you i got microblading done trying to protect these brows and i'm going to go ahead and cut my lace, because this wig has kinky curly baby hairs already established and they can really get in the way. I don't want to harm myself. So i'm going to do a pre-cut, you want to cut in a zigzag motion and you just want to be really really careful if your shears are sharp like mine, okay, so that's why i'm doing a little bit of a cut re-grabbing repositioning my fingers out of The way and just cutting little by little and there we have it now that the lace is cut, i'm going to add another spray of the got to be sprayed, i'm just going to layer it a little bit just to help make sure that this lasts secure. Okay, all right snatch, the hairline for me then snatch it. I'Ve got my you coming down per usual in front of the ear i'm going to leave some of my hair out on the sides i feel like i did, but that wig snatched them back child. They snatch them back. The lace only comes to about here. So that's why i'm leaving some of my hair out around. I guess i don't know what you call these like the sideburns a little bit of the sideburns out, and it's feeling really good. So now that the wig is on a position, i'm gon na work on getting the edges looking good. Now this is the one time. Maybe not one time, but this is one of the few times. You'Ll see me actually do swooping of the edges, but that's the purpose of this wig is to give you a nice natural, kinky hairline to work with. Instead of having to see you know a lot of lace, so i'm going to use mousse to secure the hairline with this is hair. Polisher styling foam got it at the good old hair store. Y'All. I'M telling you don't sleep on the hair store. Okay, they got some good products might not be fully named brand, but they work great. So i am going to actually spray this directly onto the hairline and i'm going to be pretty generous with it out the way. So i'm going to take a comb. I have a little bit sprayed on my hair as well, and i'm just going to do some swoops. Now you don't have to have the swoops come super low. The whole point is for us to use the natural curl that the hair comes with as the hairline and i'm just going to swoop the hair and let the natural curl do what the natural curl does. You are welcome to also flat iron the baby hairs. While it's dry, you can kind of flat iron it and flip it in whatever way you want. That'S also really cute way to kind of tame them and get them down. I like more of the wet look, because i know when i'm on vacation, i might not be able to break out a flat iron. I might really just have to get up and go. Maybe i just got out of the pool and i just want to spruce up my hair, real quick before i go to dinner. All right, you guys. So this is what i have going on. I think it's cute. I think it's cute. What i did do was add a little bit of edge control to the moose situation right so anywhere where i felt like it was just almost too curly or it just wouldn't actually lay for me a little bit. I added some edge control just to the top of that baby hair did my swoop and then let the curl do its thing. Once everything is set, i'm just going to put a headband on or tie it down for 5 to 10 minutes. We have the headband off and what i'm going to do now is go through and just comb out the baby hairs again to make sure they look as natural as possible. I don't want them to be too crunchy, so we're going to do one more little comb through finalize kind of how everything looks, loving, loving, loving, loving, loving, okay, you guys, forgive me, i'm a tall woman. Okay, i'm trying to show you everything and it's full glory, but first, let's kind of get up close and see what the hairline is looking like. So here's the finished, hairline again, not perfect, but curly you just kind of let it do its own thing. You do! The right styling products get those involved, get everything positioned to cover any other knots that you might see. First of all, what i love about this wig honestly are the kinky baby hairs that it comes with. I love that concept. I love that it's already cut for you. I love that it's naturally curly and it's really easy to style, like this literally took me, probably a total of 10 minutes and that's with demonstrating everything and that's also with the waiting time of tying it down come on through another thing i love about the wig Is the hair texture? I love the kinky curly texture, it's looking really really pretty. It looked pretty when it was wet straight out of getting washed. It'S really pretty now as it dries. I think the only thing if i had to choose one thing that i you know i have to keep in mind about this wig - is that as much as i would love to straighten it and have it say that it's super versatile, which it is it's a Really versatile way, but i can't really straighten it. The way i want to, i don't think it's recommended that you straighten this hair out. It could affect the curl pattern. You might be disappointed that those curls don't snap back. You know as much as you would like to so i think that's just something to keep in mind. It'S just best, probably to just leave the texture alone, switch it up with different styles. I mean there's just so many different things. You can probably do with it. Half up half down high pony if i want high bun, if i want, i mean i just feel like there's so much, i can do when the hairline and the lace isn't something that i have to necessarily worry about.
