Beginner Headband Wig Tutorial+Make Your Own

Hey guys, it's your girl, miss j with two eyes, and this is officially the first hair tutorial of 2021. So let's get started in this video, i'm going to be showing you guys a very beginner friendly way of making your own headband wig all right. So, first we're going to start out by pinning down our mesh dome cap. Now i like to use this cap because it's very breathable and i'm using the extra large, because i have a lot of room to work with and it fits my head more comfortably now. Once you have the dome cap, all pinned down, i'm going to start off by taking my first track and pinning it from ear to ear now the reason you pin it from ear to ear is because when you wear your wig up into a ponytail, you want It to be seamless in the back where the headband is now for the second track. What i'm going to do is i'm going to angle it a little bit and then i'm going to start laying my tracks in the shape of the head, so just keep watching you'll see exactly what i'm doing now. Once you have your first couple tracks in this is how the wig is going to look, then you're just going to continue this process, making sure that you are checking each ankle from the front and the back so that you are even on both sides. Now, once you start placing your tracks in the front, make sure that you are leaving a little space on the sides, because we'll need that in the end, just remember that you are continuing to follow the shape of the head when you get to the top you're Going to start straightening your tracks up following the shape of the so now, once we get to that last track, we are going to pretty much sew that one from ear to ear but along the front now. This is why, in the beginning, i said to leave a little space on the side, so that track is going to pretty much seal off the front part of the headband. Now, once you have laid all of your tracks, this is how your wig is going to look and it's time to make our headband. Now to start my headband, i like to cut it in half and fold the ends inward and sew those with a straight stitch. Now you can do this by hand, but i prefer to do mine by sewing machine now, once i have those ends sewn down, i'm going to cut two opposite pieces of velcro about the same length and i'm going to sew those down so just make sure you're Paying attention to my placement so now this part is completely optional, but you can add combs to your headband wig. I went ahead and added two on the front sides and one in the back, but you are pretty much done. All you got to do now is style and you're ready to go.
