Braids Queen Butterfly Loc Headband Wig | Beginner Friendly And Affordable

Hey guys welcome back to my channel, this is stephanie nicole h, so today i'm coming back to you with another headband wig review, so this unit was actually sent to me by braid queens, and this is the bag that it came in and this is actually totally Different from any other headband wig that i have done in the past, this is actually a butterfly lock, headband wig. So this is 30 inches long. The color is natural black and i'm going to go ahead and take this out and show you all the goodies that came with it. Alright, so here is the unit, so, as you can see it has those beautiful butterfly locks i'll, give you a close-up so also. What came with the unit is a wig cap and then also five headbands so first hand, then, is like this purple and yellow floral. One of course they had to send a leopard print one then a paisley print one also a army, print camo and then a yellow, floral one. So, as you can see, i already have my stocking cap on, so i'm gon na go ahead and put on my silicone head grip. Okay, so here is my silicone headband, and this is amazing just to hold the unit in place so now as far as the construction of this unit. So it has a solid black headband. So there is no velcro piece to connect in the back and in the inside has three combs on the front so two on the side, one in the middle and then also one in the back. So let me go ahead and put this on. Okay, guys. So to install all i'm doing is slipping this headband around my head, and that is it it's just that easy, two second installation and instant butterfly locks. So, there's this little piece of hair sticking out from one of the locks, i'm just going to take some scissors and clip that off. So here is the unit on my head. It'S super beginner friendly just because you don't have to attach anything in the back. All you have to do is slip the headband on your hand, and i wanted the headband as close to my edges as possible, since it is giving the illusion that you have either individual or crochet butterfly locks. But i'm going to go ahead and um. Do my baby hairs and then put on a headband? Actually, i think i'm going to switch out the hair bands, while i'm doing the styles, so you can see a variety of the different hair bands that were sent to me. So i decided to start with this camo print headband, so i'm just slipping this over my head and then pulling it up over the black headband, that's attached to the unit and just making sure that that black headband is covered completely and that only the bare minimum Of my edges is showing all right. So first thing i noticed about putting this unit on my head is how extremely light it is. It is virtually weightless, so it'd be sitting in the chair getting these done and having all of those heavy locks on your head. This is so lightweight, it's crazy, so i'm going to show you all angles and again this is 30 inches long, so i am 5'7 and it comes right below the top of my butt, and i know that this unit retails for about uh 75. It sells out extremely fast as soon as they put it on their website is sold out. Super duper fast. So if you are loving this unit, when you see it make sure you pick it up because it'll be there today and go on the next, so i'm going to go ahead and do a couple of styles, so you can just see this unit so also. Let me get close up, so you can see all right so now to get into some styles all right. So, let's get into this so for the first style, i'm just going to gather the top portion of my hair. Take a couple of the locs from the back and just twist it around the base of the ponytail. So this is going to be a half up. Half down! Look all right! So the next style i'm just going to take the locks from the ponytail twist it around for a top bun with the rest down. So next style i'm just going to unwrap that bun and flip the hair over to the side for a side ponytail with the rest down. So for this next style, all of the hair is down and the front portion is flipped over to the side. For a flip over and now i'm just going to flip it over to the other side. What is this? Oh? No! So there are these little flyaway pieces all over this unit that i definitely have to tuck and hide, while i'm doing my styles so for this next style, i'm just going to flip all the hair to the front and grab a couple of twists from the back And wrap it around the base, and this is going to be a high ponytail, and here i am just adjusting the headband so that it can cover all of those flyaway pieces. And now i'm just twisting the locks in the ponytail and wrapping it around. And this is going to be a massive high bun all right, so that is it for the styles for this unit. So let's get into the pros and cons so pros. This unit is extremely light. I love the concept of butterfly locks on a headband unit. So that's amazing, i never would have thought of that, but it's a amazing concept. The price 75 is really not that much. You would definitely spend more by going to a stylist purchasing the hair getting it installed, and then you also have that versatility. If you want butterfly locks one day and not the next, then you can change out your wig or do whatever you decide to do the next day. So there's always that convenience negative. So let's get into the negatives, so the negative that i have is. I know that you saw when i was doing the styles. There are these weird flyaway pieces all throughout this unit and i don't know what the reason for that is. Maybe the hair wasn't long enough to put butterfly locks on but, like you can see here, it's just hair. I don't know so it makes it difficult when you're trying to do different styles, you have to really hide those or just brush them down like here's. Some more so you definitely have to conceal those as best as you can, when you style this unit, but um i mean that's the only negative that i have so also. Let me show you all what it looks like in the middle of the back, so you can see the actual construction. So here that's what it looks like. So you definitely have to be mindful of how you style this unit, because it does have those flyaways and the construction is just a little bit weird. This unit, i would say, is not too much big hair friendly. I have a little leeway, but not too much uh. If you have a ton of hair, it probably won't fit under this unit um. You definitely would have to braid everything really really flat to fit under here and then again it doesn't have that velcro piece in the back, so you can't adjust the size of the cap. I see this as like a fun unit for the summer. If you just want to throw on a butterfly lock unit and go do what you need to do, then this is perfect. You definitely have that versatility and i love the length 30 inches. So it comes down really really far so about the bottom of my waist. In the front - and i see it um a little below the top of my butt in the back - this unit does not come in any other colors. It only comes in the natural black color, so like a 1d color. So if you do have you know other color hair, then this probably will not work for you, because it is a synthetic unit and you cannot dye this. So i don't know maybe they'll be coming out with some different shades different colors in the future. So you may just want to be on the lookout for that, but as far as this review, this is all that i have so i'm going to put all the links down in the description box below as far as the direct link to this unit. I think it was like eight or nine dollars. So it's a lifesaver. If you wear units like i do, then you can wear it all the time you don't have to worry about those silly combs that come in the unit irritating your scalp, so that is it for this review.
