Hey, hey, y'all, welcome, welcome to my channel it's michaela here and i make natural hair beauty and lifestyle content. This is a kinky straight headband wig. I love this texture because it really blends with my hair, which is not relaxed. It'S just natural. I do not even straighten it that much all right. So i like this way, because i was just able to slip back my edges and plop it on. If you want to see how i do that, make sure you watch the rest of this tutorial. Alright, let's get right into it all right guys. So this is how it looks on the inside. It has three cones, as well as a comb in the back velcro straps and adjustable straps on the inside, and this is how the texture looks, and this is what i've done to my hair. Don'T laugh like i said you do not have to be a professional to wear these wigs and be a part of this wig life. Okay. So basically i just have my hair in four parts um. I leave out these two front sections, so i can manipulate it. However, i want here is my extreme wet line gel and i'm just going to slick back the edges a little bit. Someone take my brush, add some gel and go ahead and slick down my edges so that it can blend in with this wig and now i'm just going to pin it back like so like that and like so take the other side. Do the exact same thing? Add a little bit of that wet line, extreme gel and slick it back and then pin it back. So i don't put my hair down in a way that would be too hard because i like to switch up my style. So i just like to kind of pull it back so that if i want to rock a different hairstyle the next day, i'm able to just wash out the front and go so that's how it looks again. Don'T laugh all right, it gets the job done all right. I saw a straight edge right there, so i just have to tuck that back in cool, oh and i like to add this - got to be um, the black version ultra glued on top. So i add that in because this gives my hair not only a nice set like it's not going anywhere, but it also gives it a cool little ripple effect. Texture thing going on that i like, and then i take my edge brush and i just add in that last bit of sleek. I don't know why that little piece of hair on the side is trying to play me all right. We'Re done. This is how it looks. Okay. This is how it looks when i finish so. I grab my wig cap. Put it on my hair, pull it back cool, make sure the edges are still doing what i need them to do. Putting any final finishes on it: okay, pat pat, and we're ready to go so i grab my wig here we go. This is gon na, be so fast. Y'All watch this okay, so i grab a brush real, quick and i just brush out the wig just to make sure that you know i get out any knots. This is gon na take two seconds. Let me try as best as i can show you. So i add in the adjustable straps, make it the size that i want you can make it as small or as large as you want. So i go on ahead and put that in then i'm going to take that back comb. That back comb is the one that i really put in because i've told you all before i don't like a lot of combs in my hair, so i flip it on my head and then i pull it down. As far as i can to the front, then i put that back clip in the back of my hair and i grab the velcro straps and i'm going to secure them around the perimeter of my head and i'm going to just snap the velcro straps together in The back super simple super, easy you guys and again. If you want to wear those other combs in the front, it's completely optional. So now i'm just going to go ahead and brush the hair down. The only other thing i do to secure it is, i add, in two bobby pins towards the sides of my hair. I prefer that over the comb it just doesn't leave as much as a mark or imprint, and it's not as harsh on my hair. I feel so i also take a little fine-tooth rat tail comb to again make it as smooth as possible, and then i go ahead and add in my little faux fendi headband that i got off etsy, i'm not even going to hold you all night, i'm going To act like this is real, but isn't it so cute i'll put the link to that as well? So i don't usually press this. I wear it as it is, but i am going to add a little heat protectant and go in with a little heat to see how that works on this. And so i'm smoothing it out one pass with my felicia leatherwood brush and then i go ahead and add my flat iron. I'M just doing a little pass now. This in the video looks really fast, but i promise i did it more slowly and for me i didn't notice a real, measurable effect with this flat iron, so the downside of this straight headband wig is it does have these weird ripples at the top? It'S not that noticeable, it's more noticeable on camera, but if you really okay by spray, that's not working out for me! If you really want to go in and get the ripples out, you can go in a little bit harder with the flat iron. This hair is very receptive to heat. It does not burn. You know what i mean like girl. You can put your flat iron on this. Okay, so go ahead. Do what you need to do the ripples? Don'T really bother me so i'm gon na leave it like that, like i got places to go, i don't have time to be here, um pressing out my hair forever, but boom we're ready to go. We'Re ready to go. Okay. Hair is good to go. I love it brush it as much as you need to one thing about this hair is. It does shed a little bit like you'll, find like a straight long piece of hair every now and again don't be surprised about that. But it's all good. It'S all good, because when you can pop on a hair in two seconds like this and just get going, who can mind it? Hey guys, so there you have it. This is how i apply my kinky straight headband wig. This was the quickest video i've ever shot because you literally just pull it out brush it out and plop it on okay slick back your edges or do whatever you want to do with your edges, plop on a headband and you are ready to go. You don't have to apply any product to the wig whatsoever and it's pretty versatile, i will say um, you can wear it in a ponytail. You can wear it in a high ponytail. You can wear it in a half up, half down style and, of course you can wear it with different headbands like this and just do whatever you want to do.
