Perfect Blend For Natural Hair! Kinky Straight Headband Wig | Omgherhair

It comes with two headbands, an elastic band and a stocking cap. Now the unit i'll be reviewing today is this 18 inch kinky straight unit and buchel okay dolls, as you can see, i just freshly washed my hair and i allowed it to air dry. So i'm going to apply some of my faithfully asia. Beauty wax stick to the perimeter just to kind of lay down those kinks. Before i complete this install now, i decided i wanted to give a middle part for today's install and i'm going to just comb this hair back using a damp brush just to kind of help, tame those loose hairs, and i'm just going to put it in a Small bun in the back before i apply the stocking cap on top okay. Now i'm ready to install this headband wig and, as you can see, there's a headband in front. There are three combs in the front and one in the back, i'm just going to use the two combs on the side and nicely secure that into the stocking cap, and then i proceed to secure this headband with the velcro straps in the back. As always, this headband wig can be worn with or without showing your edges. I decided i wanted to show my edges today and i'm just using some of my wet line gel to sleep down the edges a little bit okay. So this is what the unit looks like when i try it on, as you can see, it's very full and natural. Looking it's giving me fresh, blowout vibes now you can definitely wear this in this state. If you want to, however, i do prefer to have it. Just a little bit more tamed, so i am going to go ahead and flat iron, this unit, just a little bit so initially when i started flat iron this unit, i had it at around 380 and, as you can see, it was really making this unit straight. Even though i only did one pass over so eventually i went and i adjusted the flat iron and i lowered it some more and then, instead of going slowly to make the one pass, i started: do my one pass very quickly and that allowed it to stay Straight while still maintaining some of the kinks in the unit - and this is what it looked like when i was finished - okay - so let's try this again, i'm going to put this unit back on and this time i'll be sure to turn around to allow you guys To see what it looks like in the back so now i like this hair a lot more because it's giving me a fresh dominican, blowout vibe and, as you can see, there still are some kinks maintained in the unit. So it still has that natural freshly permed. Look so i'm going to go ahead and start trying on a few of these headbands just so you guys can get an idea of the type of headband you'll receive with your unit, and this is what the leopard headband looks like, and i decided to go ahead And style this in a low ponytail, then i tried an updo next, i switched it to a side pony now we have the half up, half down look and lastly, i put it in a high bun, okay now, so let me switch and show you some of The other headbands, i'm really loving how this blue headband looks. It'S really cute. Okay, so now that i've shown you all the headbands that came with this unit, i'm gon na try on a couple of headbands that i got from amazon, because if you own these headband wigs you're gon na need extra headbands. So i'm gon na try to find you guys some good selection options and these headbands. They have like a little um wire inside, not really sure if that is necessary, but i guess it helps. You hold the style if you decide to put it in a bun. So you can wear it like this as a regular headband, just wearing it straight to the back, or you can wear it to the front if you prefer for it to stick out like a ribbon, you could rock it like this. This one is giving me very, very baby, shower vibes, oh yeah, she's cute, so i decided to spice it up and throw on my red lippy. What do you guys think growing up sexy vibes right and now i tried on the red plaid one, and i think this headband is cute as well. So, of course, you guys when dealing with kinky straight hair, we always want to see if it can hold a curl, so i put my flat iron at a 375 setting and added a few curls to this unit. Okay, so this is what it looks like after using a curling iron, as you can see, this side curled a lot more tighter and held the curl better than this side. But that's because i held the curling iron for about 30 seconds for each curl. But let me tell you what i don't have time for that ain't. Nobody got time for that. Anybody about to do all of that plan, ahead, wrap it up in some flexi rods and then just take it out, use some hairspray. I recommend this hairspray. This is a really good hairspray. It helps holds curls without making your hair stiff and you're good to go. But if you want to sit with the curling, i am by all means have at it so dolls. What do you guys think? Let me know what you guys think: does it look better curled or straight okay? Dolls? So that's all i'm about to do as far as styling this unit, let's get in the details of this wig. Now this, as i mentioned, is the kinky straight unit. This is from omg hair. Now i have collaborated with omg here in the past. I actually reviewed a similar unit to this, but it actually was the lace unit. If you're interested in a lace unit, i will link it up above i'm not really sure if they still have it in stock, but if they do have it on stock i'll, be sure to link it in the eye above, you could go ahead and check that Out and this unit is in 18 inches and i'm gon na stand up just so, you can see the length of it after it's been straightened, so it's actually a pretty decent length and i didn't receive any tangling. As far as manipulating with this unit, i haven't received any shedding. I'M assuming this here is similar to the lace wig that i reviewed and the wig is pretty low maintenance. Now i will say that i do wish that there were some side combs in the back around the nape area, because it did kind of pull up. When i try to put it in a high ponytail, it was a little bit challenging. I had to use some bobby pins, so i would suggest either either buying some weight, combs and sewn them in or just doing what i did and use some bobby pins. I actually wish these wig vendors would actually make these units with the combs in the back area right here, three in the back, as well as being a three in the front, since a lot of people will want to wear these headband units up in a ponytail. It will be a lot easier to style if it did have three combs in the back as well. This particular unit that i'm wearing will run you about 149 dollars for the 18 inches, so it is about mid-range price point. However, guys i have been trying to review units in different price points to fit different budgets. However, something i do want you guys to keep in mind, is that sometimes, when you have the units that are extremely cheap, you have to be flexible as far as understanding that you're going to get what you pay for, because some of the cheaper units are going To tangle up on you a lot more you're going to have a lot more snagging. However, if that's what your budget can allow, then by all means get it, but i do want you guys to have realistic expectations when purchasing these units and don't expect high quality hair for low price. It just simply doesn't work like that. A lot of times in the hair industry, you may look up and find one or two vendors that have cheap units with decent hair. But when you want really good quality hair, you got to expect to pay a little bit more. So that's just something i want to keep in mind for you guys, and i think this is a good mid-range price point.
