Wig For Beginners| Simple Install With Wig Tape

Hello, my YouTube family. Thank you for tuning in. I look a little different today right right. Well, this video is going to be all about how to install a wig, a very simple installation. This is not gon na, be an installation that you wear for weeks on end. It'S going to be very quick for the day for the couple of days, installation using wig tape. Now, isn't this fun bright, colors simple, I can take it off before bed. If you want to learn how you can apply a wig and make it look, pretty dang realistic just for the day or a couple days, then make sure you subscribe to this video subscribe know subscribe to this channel thumbs up this video, and, let me know in The comments, if you learned something from this video and just keep on watching cuz, I'm about to show you the magic today we are going to do a very requested video from so many people, obviously because it's very requested on how to apply a wig and not Like a full install where you wear it for weeks, an install where you can wear it for the day and take it off at night or you can wear it for like two days, if you want my face, is dry because I just got out of the Shower and I hadn't put any moisturizer on this as an important step, because if you put moisturizer and makeup on before, you put your wig on it's not going to stay so we're gon na go through how to go from this to this very quickly. So if you are interested in finding out or really if you're just nosy and want to know how I make a wig look, realistic then keep on watching. I know I said I know alright so right now my hair is super clean. It'S still I'd like literally still in robe, it's clean and it is damp, but it's drying. It'S been drying pretty quickly. You could do it while it's so wet, but you want your roots to be pretty dry. You can see. I have a major grow out because I'm trying to grow my hair out, so this really helps wearing wigs is a really great protective style. You don't dye your hair, you don't you know, you don't create any damage on your hair because it's just tucked up underneath so I'm gon na show you guys how I tuck it up and everything so. First, I'm just gon na brush it through make sure there's! No tangles, you could put some oils in it at this point, since it is a protective hairstyle and you know you're wanting your real hair to stay healthy, I'm not going to today, just because I don't know where any are right now and if you do use Oils make sure you focus on the bottom, don't put any up here, just because that's where the wig tape is going to go, and you don't want anything to cause that to not be sticky. So next I'm going to part it. You can part it where the actual wig parts gon na be so if you're gon na have a middle part part in the middle, if you're gon na have a side part part at the side, you can skip this step. If you want, I just think it makes it look even more realistic. If you can kind of match up the parts you don't have to be super particular with it, but it just looks better if it's like parted without hair in it that make sense. So then, I just slick it back literally slick it back into the lowest ponytail that you can. So let me do that real quick all right. So now it's low ponytail, the back of my head, make sure it's nice and tight. You want this nice and tight. Now I'm gon na take my got to be glued blasting free spray, this thing's magical, okay. This has changed the game like this. Is this is good good, stuff right here, so I'm going to spray all along the front and then you can spray throughout the back. This is just going to keep it flat, keep it freeze too, and it creates a stick too so it'll help when applying the wig as well. It'Ll, just give it like an extra security. So then, your hair back here what I do if your hair is longer than mine, you may want to do French braids from all the way up at the top, but with my length in my thickness. This is this works for me. So I just braid this ponytail. I need to put some decor back there. How, if you guys, are gon na be looking it up? Oh it's hot! In Arizona all right, so we're braiding, we're braiding or braiding come on lots of cute dog, a dog just walk by the window. Okay, then you take another ponytail, preferably a smaller one, instead of a big hunky one like this, but whatever oh crap, I don't have any bobby pins babe. Do you know where any bobby pins are? Okay, next up take a drink. If you want to stay hydrated, my favorite drink right now is a sugar-free strawberry, sugar-free, coconut green tea keeps me hydrated, and the green tea gives me a little bit of caffeine, but not too much because you know preggo, it's sugar-free, strawberry of coconut delicious. Do you li see, also okay, next we're gon na make sure my towel isn't flashing. You guys we're gon na take a bobby pin now we're going to take this and we're gon na pin it up. So I'm gon na put it just like yeah just like that, and then you see how you have your tail sticking up. Then you're gon na pin it down kind of like a zigzag either way you do it. You just want this as flat as possible. You don't want a big knot down here. You don't want a big knot at the top. You just want it like evened out, so it's pretty dang flat. Does that make sense? I don't have a name for this, but I'm going to be trying out a new wig tape, the bold old wig tape, I've heard and seen amazing things about the bold hold tape. This is one from a wig store in Seattle. I no longer live in Seattle, so I clearly have to find something new to use. I haven't seen any hair wig stores around here, I'm assuming not that many people wear wigs in Arizona because it's hot as balls here, but I don't know I'm still gon na wear them. I say that now wait till summer summer anyways. So, let's pull out a couple of these little wig tapes. This is what makes the application so easy and makes it able you makes it so you're able to take it off like at the end of the night. I don't like sleeping in wigs, it's not comfortable. I mean what what I don't like to sometimes I fall asleep in them, but it does it mean I like to sleep in and it's not the most comfortable thing in the world. I like to scratch my head I like to, and I came to play with my hair. Like you know the cute stuff, so anyways double wig tape, you take it off. It'S pretty simple guys, it's pretty simple. Take it off, I'm gon na place it sometimes. I do it right in the middle, but right now I'm gon na place it right here. No I'm not! Where am I. I am gon na place it in the middle because we're doing a middle part, so I have a huge forehead, so I can place it on my forehead a little bit if you don't have a big forehead and you don't have like space to use. You'Ll want to place it right on your hair, but that's why we put this on first, because then, when you go to take the wig off, you just get it wet, and this turns into like a slime because it's gel and it makes it so this just Peels right off, okay, so let's go ahead, I'm going to fast forward. While I place these on the rest of my face and then you'll see where the placements go. Okay, you so for this one I'm actually going to rip it in half after I take off the blue part. The blue part is like the it's double sided. Tape is what it is and then I'm gon na rip it in half, because you don't need a full piece here in the corner and you want to make sure all your hair is tucked and it's sprayed with the for the Febreze with the free spray. And then you're gon na place it right there and then you're gon na place this one sure it's all tucked in place it right there, okay! So now I'd like to let that sit, I like to kind of rub it to make sure it's sticking to my skin in my hair real well, because this is your foundation for your wig to stay really well right. So my dog is so cute she's. Just out there sunbathing right now, it's not too hot out. Let'S see how hot it is, weather Phoenix. It is 75 degrees out. So that's not hot at all, weird, not too much so she's, just enjoying it how she loves to outside. Okay. So now, let's go ahead and peel it off. This is this is where we start transforming. This is where the transformation happens, people so I'm gon na kinda, I'm gon na take the side ones off first and I kind of I fold it. I find the sticky part I hold it down and then I peel it off see that then I'm gon na do this one. I fold the top find the sticky part hold it down, so it doesn't peel off with it. Look at that look at that. Okay and I leave these ones till the wigs on just because hair can get caught in it. Look at that! Oh yes, that's so satisfying, I'm so weird! Okay! Now it's time to bring in the wig we're going to use the bright orange one, because clearly it gives you a dramatic change from what look like I wanted to do my purple one, but I couldn't find it guys and that's a problem. Okay, so we're just brushing out so there's no tangles in it: okay, oh yeah, she's. Looking good! Now we're going to flip it we're gon na pull this to the front and I'm gon na look in the mirror. Well, quick, but we're gon na pull this to the front and you're gon na line it and then you're, just gon na start pressing it where the tape is see that look at that now granted. It looks really really real because of the quality of the week. This week is from Shonda, you know my girl, my wit girl. So you have to be careful with this part, because this is your least sticky part like it's hard to get it to stay right here. Okay, so then you just press it after you peel it, and then I like to make sure like most of the hair is pulled back, but then you can kind of press some hair into it and it just stays. It looks real, realistic right. There see that I'll need to cut that a little bit but see how real real realistic that looks right there really good so now flip it over and let's go to the other side, okay and then we're pressing that hair into that tape. Right there do that, but then I'm just pressed that any gives you a little natural sideburn natural. You know orange sideburn, totally natural um. Let me make sure I'm not flashing you again and then you can go on and style. Your hair so obviously like. Is the time that you go fix your face put some moisturizer on because my face is screaming for some moisture and then do your makeup and like get all snazzy and then, when you do your makeup I'll, come back and show you guys some tips and tricks Once your makeups applied to make this look even more natural, but as you can see, it's looking real good. This is a custom unit. This is a lace frontal. This isn't a full lace unit. This is just lace, frontal, it's about six inches by six inches. I think, or maybe 7 by 7, but it's absolutely insane. I could part it any which way I want, and it will look a realistic wigs. Our fun wigs are for everyone. I don't wear wigs to hide my real hair or because I'm ashamed of my real hair. I love my real hair because of wearing wigs. I now have the healthy hair. I'Ve always wanted. I like to change my hair. Look. I'Ve had this tattoo for like six years, I, like colourful, hair, and, if I did this to my real hair, like I used to it, would be I'd be bald by now. I would be bald, so that's what's fun about wigs. I encourage you guys to try them. They are on the spendy side. If you want a good quality, one try some synthetic ones if you're just getting into the wig life, but I promise you you'll get addicted and you will end up buying good quality. Wigs and it'll be a new obsession, fair warning! So I'll be right back. Let me go put my makeup on and show you guys the end result. Okay, all right! So I am back. The hair is a little more tamed and my makeup is done so, as you can see, we went from that to this and it's looking looking pretty good look at that. It'S looking pretty good for a quick, install that isn't gon na last. You long, which is obviously what you want in an install like this now I'm gon na show you one thing that you can do to make this look even better. You go in with a little bit of concealer, I'm using line life by alcone concealer number zero or you could use any concealer that matches your shade. I like this type of concealer, though, because it's a creamy wax based, whereas like a liquid one kind of just sinks through the lace, this sits right on top of the lace. So then you just kind of go me grab a mirror. You just kind of go right here right where that part is see how that just lightens it up and makes it match your skin tone. And then I take my finger and I wedge it in it just kind of makes it look really really stinkin natural. So that is the finishing tip. What you can also do is you can go in with the got to the glute spray if you need to and kind of spray it right here along your head, but I normally don't need to, but boom boom Shakalaka.
