Does this lady have a diplomatic passport? Has she been appointed as a diplomat of the country? That'S a question. That means that they are. We are now told that she was meaning she was invited. I heard it doesn't really just invited, but I mean it's not four and a half years you could go to the prime minister is the prime minister and support of that. That'S a question that we need to ask: did this Administration support this decision? Why wasn't the minister of Tourism president? Why wasn't other ministers, who would maybe would would want to have had their their feet wet? So you know for a better better, A lot of a better term in that um setting but Ambassador. It is clear to me that something is not right, and you know temporality like this. One said that it is this. I want to ask you a question Ambassador these in your years of governance, because you were once a permanent ticket before you became Minister than an ambassador. Why is it that when Administration is changed, the minister can determine who become a permanent secretary? Is that constitutional? Well uh? It'S it's a very interesting uh question uh uh in that, in that the the permanent secretary, it really should be opposition that, as it says, permanent because they are undepenishable establishment, but I think it's because of our politics and the politics that's been practiced. You know - and I I couldn't understand it I I know at some time years ago the the the view came about to actually have permanent secretary's on contract. You know so I thought sorry if I'm uh a minister comes in, or here she has a choice uh, because as because you I've seen throughout my time, even as a peace, I've seen permanent secretaries are wearing party colors, and that really is unacceptable. So I think his will are the root of the problem. Lies. You know the the permanent secretaries who, instead of being professional, are being partisan, you know and that that's that's cause for concern your language. The incumbent Administration is not saying that they will understand about corruption. Let'S give you a scenario: it's the permanent secretary will be chief uh, director and chief accountant of the ministry is that permanent secretary is in league or in um with the minister. Do you understand that there will be no accountability in that particular Ministry? The Public Services Commission - those appointments - must be determined by this by by the Services Commission, they are not having the decision as a minister, and so while the new age is recognized about 14 years of contractor, they have received. Let us look at real contribution reform and I think you pointed to that as one of the first program of the election. Let us look at doing the real constitutional reform, because this system are firing an iron pieces on wind and fancy create a breeding ground. A real corruption, because there is no accountability. Okay got you! That'S a lot of clear my brother, you know, but I hope that we were able to fix that because if you look toward CARICOM right, we were using the Westminster mother, no other country, with the exception of things and his secretary and the winds and Francis of An Administration even across those countries is that permanent secretaries uh they ought to be the non-political uh persons within the the service, but that they are so political. I'M not saying he should choose his colors, but he's telling you who the hell is supported and something has to be wrong with it. Uh coming there - and I wanted to to just for a couple seconds to uh, someone raised the issue or the issue was raised in relation to either China and the Republic of or the People's Republic of China, the PRC and the Republic of China and Taiwan. But it was a resolution 2758. I think uh in the 1970s. Is it Global 50 years ago right there was this resolution uh that that called for member states to restore the rights of the People's Republic of China in Beijing as the only lawful representatives of China to the United Nations and that resolution was passed. I don't remember how the disposition of the votes, so here's, where uh as since that resolution, has become uh one of and that resolution around has become one of the most defined moments, uh that are defining documents in the history of of uh Taiwan. The modern history of Taiwan, so this is where the issues that come from, but that color really raised some very important uh points in terms of the the the role of the permanent secretary as well, because I remember when I was a permanent secretary there was this. This permanent secretary uh, who shall be nameless. I was at the government headquarters one day and she walked in in all red, and I quietly I said to her. Why are you doing this? I mean why do you have to to come? Not always in the government headquarters in a labor short same level, and I said why are you doing this and how response was Labor? If she wasn't for labor, she would not have had the job you know, and so - and this is these are the issues we find and there have to be some real solutions. But we need a civil servants that are a political and again as we, the the country has rightly been saying. I did not hear the release, so I can't speak to it and forgive me for that. But but what for sure, the Taiwanese would not have expected - and I know that the the number of of support the number of countries supports in China are uh Republic of China and Taiwan uh so to speak, dwindling. I think they have moved from the 30s or the 20s down to 30 now or 15.. So this is this is the question again that we we ought to ask ourselves in terms of alliances. We have Allied ourselves. We we have been in Alliance for over 30 30, almost 39 years, and Taiwan was up first uh, the first government that we had diplomatic relations with and with that last forever. It'S anybody's guess, but things are changing: uh, worldwide, politically and or otherwise, but the the whether it is the Minister of Foreign Affairs who invited uh the the citizen for men and China. It is the prime minister's delegation, so I mean the Prime Minister should have could have taken uh some decision and taken the stands as to whether he would embarrass the country embarrass her Taiwan like that. But you know, as as we said, we understand if, if as the fun is right, you know if he's right, we don't always agree, but he said this and if he's right, this is what happened. Uh weeks before that cabinet, they were seated in the front room. While, if my memory serves me right, the Taiwanese delegation, as did form a high-level government officials and other dignitaries, sat behind them in rows, 2, 3, 4 and behind who arranged for them to be seated. In the front room, what is so important about these people that justifies elevating them to these Heights in our country, incidentally, some Galaxy persons were also present at the swearing-in ceremony of the new cabinet. They were seated in the front room while, if my memory serves me right, the Taiwanese delegation, as did former high-level government officials and other dignitaries, sat behind them in rows, 2, 3, 4 and behind who arranged for them to be seated in the front room. What is so important about these people that justifies elevating them to these Heights in our country is correct. Then it all started right here in Saint Kitts before they went on to the international stage, but I whatever it is. I believe that the Prime Minister has held up. The delegation has to accept responsibility, because the Minister of Foreign Affairs is Junior his Junior as it comes to as it relates to run. They are, they are the the he is the prime minister, but I'm the Prime Minister, as it is said, is first amongst equals, but Manchester family. Yet I have not even been swearing in Parliament yet and practically we are seeing the same old same old says. Could somebody explain these questions and when our doctor Drew is going to hold his eyes? He says press conference as prime minister because I hope these reporters are gearing up and piling the questions to ask him foreign less than two months in government. Thank you very much.
