Hey girls welcome back to my channel. I know it's been so long since I've created a video, but I'm so excited to be back at you with another video today, if you don't know me, my name is lil Beauty, I'm the owner of shocked little beauty. I'M a wig brand and beauty brand and I'm really excited to be here to share with you a bunch of new wig lessons. So I decided to go to my Instagram story and ask everyone what they wanted to see. With my video, I gave two options. One was how to stack a finger wave way and one is how to style the wig out of the bag. You guys voted for how to style the way out of the bag. So I have a literal shop, little beauty wig in a bag here to style. For you and I'm gon na show you how easy it is and how you can make a stunning leg without needing to roller stuff. You don't need steam. All you need is your wig and a few supplies so before we get into this video make sure you're. Following me on all of my social media, I have two instagrams one for my brand, which is a shop wheel, beauty and then my personal Instagram at will Beauty official and then I also obviously have my youtube channel, which is right here so make sure you click Subscribe below, you can see all my videos as soon as they come out. Click that notification bell to get notifications for whenever I upload. So in addition to your wig, which we'll go over in a second you're, just gon na need some simple supply. You'Re going to want a canvas covered, wig head an either a wig, clamp or a wig stand. I highly prefer wig stand because you don't need to like clamp it into anything. I find the wood clamps to be um, not as durable. They fall off. It can be a mess, so apart from that, you'll need some brushes. I have a wired hair brush, which I love for synthetic wigs. They do tend to not and get mapped easier than human hair wigs. So I really to have a nice wire bristle brush. I tend to the brush that I use to smooth out my teasing, so this is the Imperial by Phillips. It'S the boar brush I'll post. A link to this below I've recently fallen in love with this brush. It'S really really good for brushing out your teasing without like making you so exhausted, because sometimes brushing forever and getting nowhere just want a very simple teasing comb. This is just one I picked up at the local beauty store for like a dollar fifty. It doesn't need to be very nice and then you're gon na want hairspray. So I like to have an air assault and a non air assault. Hairspray, my favorite aerosol hairspray, I'm sorry to the environment, but I need it is the got to be glued at freeze-dried or whatever the you know, this one, the one that everyone uses and then I use my pump enough gold as a non aerosol hairspray. For my real finishing and finish, styling you're also gon na want a blow. Dryer doesn't need to be anything fancy, it's just a heat source and then any other tools that you like to use when you're styling, wigs honestly like at the end of the day when it comes to wig styling, I recommend people to try up a bunch of Different tools, so they can find out what best fits them because something that works for me. It might not work best for you, so I definitely encourage you to try different things around there's tons of different brushes available, so try a hand of different ones and see what works best for you. So we are gon na get started. The wig I have here is from shabu Beauty calm. So this is the style Evelyn in bright ginger. It'S a gorgeous color. It has a gorgeous roller set that it comes with and stunning layering, so I'm gon na flop this onto the wig head. But first let me resituated camera situation. So now I'm gon na go ahead and start blocking down at this wig. So on a brand new wig like you, don't have to be as careful when it comes to blocking, because the lace is so long. If you get some pulls and tugs and tears really far down no one's going to be using their lace, this long. So when I am doing a new wig, I just take a bunch of pearl head pins and I do one right in the center and then I do them along the hairline until I feel like the wig is secured. Lately, I've been using these t pins. I find them to be super strong, but I like to put them right on the temples. It really keeps the wig nice and secured down when you're teasing and doing all that crazy stuff with the way. So then, I'm going to take some pins and pin down in the back of the wig, and now she is ready to the style. So all of the wigs that we sell at Rockville Beauty are ready to be styled out of the bag. They each have their own unique roller, set pattern and yeah they're just like ready to go. However, some styles might be easier for a beginner to style than others. My favorite wig to do roller sets to do pretty much anything on is the style Evelyn and the reason. Why is because she has all these gorgeous layers already like built into her. The reason why I'm talking about this is because layers and makes styling easier if you're, trying to style one long straight wig and every single strand is the same exact length. You'Re gon na have a lot more trouble defining those curls and getting that beautiful roller pattern. To come out and shine like it's supposed to versus something that comes with waves and already has layers built in so I love styling on the Evelyn wigs, especially right out of the bag. I find them to be a dream. So if you're just kind of getting into this - and you want to be able to style your own wigs - I would definitely purchase an Evelyn. We have so many different colors and so many different shades and I think you'll really love her alright. So I parted my wig exactly how it wants and I'm just rushing through the way to get all those brand-new roller sets and curls, nice and fluffy and bouncy I'm going to pull the hair and overextend at the opposite direction like so, and I'm going to go All the way up and start getting the hair, nice and kind of messy and matted a little bit, and then I'm going to pull down all of that teasing to the base of the wig. And then I always like to go on the opposite side and really pack it down. So it stands up on its own after each one. I pull about like six to eight inches away and do a quick little spray. You don't need like a look. We don't need to be doing that. It'S just going to make your way wet. It'S gon na take longer for the hairspray to dry and you're, just gon na waste hairspray, because we're gon na use a lot more later. So now that we have that section, locked and loaded we're gon na move on and do the same, exact section right next to it and again so I have my strand, I brush it out. I take my brush and I start back combing very lightly, and what I'm kind of doing is just getting the hair lightly teased all the way through and once it's lightly teased all the way through. You can take all this teasing and pull it all the way down. So all that teasing is concentrated at the bottom and we still have some length to play with later and if you feel like you have a teeth enough, you probably need to tease more honestly. I feel like I it's so much easier to under tease, then over tease, because you can always brush it out. But if you under tease and then you start brushing everything out and doing finishing touches and stuff, it's really a painting to go back. Underneath all that and have more teasing's and you kind of have to start all over again so honestly, cheese more than you think you need to you can feel it. It should almost feel like there's a little cushion at the base of the teething section. So, okay, so now that I've teased this whole half of the hairline, I'm going to pull it back over this way and we're just gon na let her dry little hairspray dry and just leave her where she is and move on to the other side. So now we're going to be doing the same exact thing, but just going in the opposite direction. The reason why I always tease on the same side is because, when you're doing your wig and you do all this teasing and you pull it down you're going to want it to be as smooth as possible on the opposite side. So that's why I always take my section overextend and brush underneath the side that is going to be smooth out, so I'm in here brushing brushing teasing whatever doing that thing, and then this way, when I start brushing this all out most of the hair on the Surface isn't going to be as well teased or as densely teased as it is underneath it. Let'S make a little easy for you leader, you so now I have teased the entire hairline, which is pretty much the lace section of the wig. So now we're gon na start teasing the back. So everything in the back is teased in the same direction that we're going to be doing you're going to take each section. You can be a little larger with your sections in the back, just because it's a lot more hair and it's not as like front and center and seen as much as, like, obviously the hairline. So the further back. I go the kind of bigger my sections get and I try to focus most of my teasing right all the way at the top and then, as I get lower and lower down the nape of the neck. I find myself teething less and less just because you want to keep that length. This is our first section in the back, I'm going to over, extend it the opposite direction and do the same exact thing: tease the hair all the way through and then gather it. The bottom, and then we have this nice little cushion of teased hair, so taking my next section, choosing all the way through the sectioning doesn't need to be as precise back here. You know you just want to make sure everything is teased, how you want it to be alright, so I'm just gon na speed up the rest of the teasing, because you think you guys kind of get the picture by now. Okay, so now that our wig is looking like a literal hot mess, we can start brushing her out and making her look beautiful again. So this is where this brush really comes in handy. You want a really good kind of detangling brush that smoothes hair out. You can just use the teasing comb, but now that I've gotten one of these, I kind of start off doing the major brushing with this and it really kind of takes a lot of the work out for you, and then I switched to this. For my final brushing and detailing and stuff like that, so basically, when I start brushing out, I'm always like kind of overwhelmed because I don't even know where to start. But you kind of just need to get into it and see where everything is, because you always kind of have to go back in and out a little more teasing before you start zapping it with hairspray and heat and all that kind of stuff. So I'm gon na face her, so the back, that's gazing towards me and just see where we're at so. This is me just brushing out the back of the wig and because this wig has layers it makes that brushing out so much easier. I cannot tell you how many wigs I've roller set and styled it on them. Any layers built into them brushing out, is just a nightmare. Having these layers allows the hair to detangle, naturally without you needing to force it when I'm brushing out, I always like to gather the ends in my hand and every once in a while. I just kind of brush out the ends of the wig to get rid of any knots. You have lingering around the tips and the ends and stuff like that. You don't want any knots down here because, as you're brushing up here, you're pulling the knots down and if you keep doing that, you run the risk of creating mats and knots and then it's just a whole ordeal. And it's like makes it messy. So everyone can almost kind of like get the ends all together and they just will start to naturally line up and really like nice and beautiful wedding a lot of times. If I find out too much cheesing and it's not smoothing out I'll, take my sections and rush in like a perpendicular way, almost pulling it away. So we're creating a bit of like a sheet of nice and smooth hair to cover all that teasing. And they will always say, keep in mind as you're, styling and teasing when you put this on a real human head it the volume like doubles, because this is not the size of a human head. It'S not like to scale exactly. It gets the job done. These wig pads, I think the 22 inch which is standard but there's something about when you put it on an actual human head and it's like filled out all the way you get a lot of more volume in the back and you get like a nice kind Of bump, naturally so keep that in mind so now that this is mostly smoothed out in the back we're gon na move on to the front. So with the front, I always start back here so now, I'm going to go in and start smoothing the front of this wig. So now that I have this kind of brushed out, I liked it again grab this and brush out the ends, because it just helps. Keep everything nice and neat okay. So now we get to look at the wig and kind of do a little survey to see what else we might need to do. So I'm not seeing as much of a bounce and lift that I'd like right here and right here, as you can see it's kind of flat right here so now I need to get this teasing right. That'S been brushed out, dependent right here, all the way back down to the root of the wig. I'M also seeing a bit of like deflation right here where that front section meets the back section. So I'm going to go in here and tease under here, but everything in the back seems pretty good. So this is where I'm going to go back in and do a little more teasing before I finish the wig - and this is where I'm going to be using my teasing brush again stuff. I'M gon na pull her up actually in the front and just do a little teasing right there there. This is our most problem area right now. So what I'm going to do is take my front section and then part of my back section, where it means really kind of tease them together, because there can be like a separation. So I'm teasing these together and I'm gon na. Take my teasing comb and really pack that down and then I'm going to go under a little bit right in that back section and just add a little more teasing, because we need a nice little bump right here for our volume you so I'm gon na start Doing some finish like setting and spraying so so, I'm gon na take this non aerosol hairspray and I'm gon na spritz the hairline on one side, and this is how you kind of get that nice voluminous bump of the hair and it stays stiff and it holds Itself up so that's all doused in hairspray, I'm going to take my blow dryer on a low setting and I'm going to be brushing just the base of the hairline back and using the heat and the hairspray to hold it in place. And now we can kind of start finessing these weights so find where you want the wave to fall and I'm just using my brush to guide it. I'M gon na take a duckbill clip and just keep that wave in place do a little spread exactly like before. I'M brushing out those ends and again the rest. Just kind of the work is like it's done for you, because you have a good quality way with a gorgeous Roller set. So when you're doing this side, you have a few options, you can kind of pull the weight towards the face. You can just pull it back for a bit of like a pinned back moment like so that's kind of up to you, and sometimes I just kind of let the wig like do its own thing. So right now, this doll just see it. I just started brushing - and I felt this huge knot at the bottom, so I'm going to go in and make sure that's gone, because that would cause trouble and like two seconds you can always like take the ends of your brushes and pull things up if they're. Looking a bit droopy stuck now that I'm liking, how it looks, I'm gon na spritz and then what I always do is, I think, about the ear - and I kind of pull up this section with the hairspray right under here. So now that she's, looking pretty good, I'm going to add one more duckbill clip there one right here and now all that's left is the back, and this is where I let the hair kind of move more freely. I don't need it so structured. I need that volume and then I kind of like to let the hair fall and look pretty on its own. So sometimes, if I feel like my wig is like the sections aren't connected, I'm seeing through to the teasing and all that kind of stuff I'll take my brush and I'll just kind of grab the back sections and lightly backcomb the top down about left halfway very Lightly, I'm really only doing hairspray like on the top half, I'm not putting hairspray down here and as I'm hairspray, I'm just smoothing out any of those flyaways, so they're, nice and flat, and then we kind of have that gorgeous like helmet head moment. And this is the last step, all right balls, and that is going to finish up this wig. It was literally that easy, it didn't even take me 45 minutes to style this wig, and there was like talking my head off to all you so yeah. I just really was excited to do this video and I'm gon na like get up off the floor a bit like finish this video okay. So I guess I should probably try this on. I'M going to show you guys what I mean when I'm saying that putting this on a human head like really bumps it up to that next level, so I'm just gon na put this on and I'll be right, back, alright doll. So this is what the wig looks like now that it's on you can see what I mean, how you get that nice bump when it's on a human head, you just don't see it as well on the wig heads. So, that's why I kind of encouraged people to try the wigs on before they really use that blow dryer and like all the hairspray and like cement it in place. I'Ve done enough of these to know that I could just go right into it, but definitely try it on if you're ever feeling unsure. If it's big enough, because you might try it on and feel like it's totally fine, you might try it on and be like. Oh, my god, any of this like twice the size so that you can just go back in and tease it and brush it out, but I'm really loving how this wig looks. I'Ve been loving, ginger, hair lately. This is just my custom, big wave style that I do for a ton of my customers. I sell this in so many different colors and I'm really loving the ginger. So I can't like just take a picture of this and post it on my website and post. It on my Instagram, for you guys to see. So if you start doing all this and it's too much for you, you realize you're, just not a wig stylist, it's not your thing. Whatever a girl, I don't judge. The great thing is: is I own a wig shop and I do custom styles for my customers. How do I put on a lace front and install the combs properly so it doesn’t slip or come off? 2. Where can I buy proper wig styling brushes and good hair sprays? 3. How do I properly apply a wig cap and the wig so it doesn’t make my face look so small? And finally 4. How do I safely pluck a lace front in case maybe I just have a small head? Thank you!
