Etsy Lace-Front Wig Unboxing | Review & How-To | Was It Worth The Price?

Don'T worry, i'm okay, hello and welcome back to another wig video. Today we are going to be trying out an etsy wig, so i'll put the picture of the wig up here and then we're going to take it out of the package and see what we got so, let's get started so the package is right here. I did cut it open to make sure it was what i was expecting, but i haven't actually like checked it out yet so we will be doing that together. Um. This is a lace front wig and it is in the shade of a strawberry blonde. As you probably saw in the picture so here we go um first of all, uh nice packaging. I like i like it better when they come in a box, but i've always said that as we pull it out. This is a neat little thing to have it in it's all tied up with little little bows and all that so we'll just take all the bows. Okay get all this stuff off, yeah and open it up. Okay, and we have one beautiful wig. That is in that you know how i love that black netting that they all come in, but it is to protect the wig. So let me show you it was packed nicely with on this packing stuff and uh that helps the wig keep its shape. While it's shipped, this is the back of it. Yes, it looks very orange on camera, but it is, it is very strawberry blonde, and this is the color that i had when i was a child believe it or not, and it's the color that i continue to uh dye, my hair um, because this is a Wig too um, so we're gon na check it out i'll show you right here, i'll show you the front. It is gorgeous the reason why i say it's gorgeous is the front. It'S a lace front. I'Ve talked about the difference between lace, front, wigs and non lace. Front wigs in a prior video and lace front is where it's at, especially. If there are no bangs, you want a lace front. What the lace front does is there's like a little. It gives you a little bit of baby hairs and just the hairline. It looks so much more natural, but when you get a lace front, you have to cut the lace off yourself, i'm going to show you how to cut this lace off. So just one. Second. Here and i will get us prepared, what i'm going to do is use a one of those foam, wig holders or mannequin heads or creepy things whatever you want to call it, i'm going to go ahead and put the wig onto this. So then it can stay on nicely. This wig was about 88, so i don't want to mess it up, not that that has anything to do with the video, but this is what i'll use to put her hair up. We are ready to cut the lace, i'm going to start on this side. Um, it's really nice. The lace goes like way way back. There are wigs that do have full lace, which means like the whole thing is laced and those are really expensive, especially with the human hair um. But what i'm going to do is just take and cut as close to these little hairs cut as close to the hair, as i can without actually cutting the hair. Oh, by the way i'm using uh hair cutting scissors, i would suggest using hair cutting scissors or even better. I would suggest using fabric scissors fabric scissors for that don't get fabric sitters. I don't think they work. I mean i have some kids and the fabric sitters. Don'T work for me and you have to kind of just keep pulling the hair back from the lace. So you don't get you don't want to cut the baby hairs. That'S the whole point of the lace is to have those little baby hairs. So you cut just as close as it you cannotice how i'm cutting just right along the hairline. You can see that that there's this little bit of baby hair situation going on which makes the wig look so much more natural. This is a synthetic wig, but i will tell you the hair feels great so so far i'm impressed, but we'll see when i get it on how everything goes. Okay, you can also do this while you have it on your head um, but i i would be worried. I'D cut my own hair, somehow so we're gon na we're not gon na. Do it that way, while we're doing this um, i wanted to mention this lace. Is fairly light, colored and my skin is fairly light colored. So that's really great, but sometimes the lace is a little bit darker than your skin tone or it could be lighter than your skin tone. So what you do is you apply foundation to the underside of the lace and then, if it has a part which we'll see if this one has a part or if we get to part it. However, if it has a part, then you would also apply the foundation that matches your skin or just a little bit lighter. Actually, because you know our heads don't see the sun, so our scalps are going to be lighter. So a little bit lighter foundation than what you normally use um. I use my highlighter cover up stuff because it's lighter than my skin tone. We have cut the lace so what i mean, i think that her and i we make a nice couple - don't think i think so all right so anyway, what i used is i'm not expecting everybody to have one, but this does come in handy when you're trying To style your wig or cut the lace off or well, that's it style it or cut the lace off or give it a haircut um i'll, be showing you how to revamp a really super cheap wig into something awesome and hang on. I'M saving this piece of lace because i'm actually going to use this lace to create a lace part and pop and a little bit of a lace front um. I ordered two wigs from amazon and i ended up getting three. I got one this one and if you haven't seen my wig review video on amazon, it has this one and then a purple one and then for some reason they sent me a second purple one and not to spoil the video but the purple. One was about three dollars cheaper and it was like kind of sacked it. It didn't have a real part that was like this weird uh. I don't know like weird plasticky stuff up here and like the hair was so thin and it's like a long-haired wig, and it's like it's half as thick as as this hair so like. I want to try to put a new part in it. Take care from one of the wigs that i'm working on and put it on the other. So eventually i will just have one wig of purple hair and i've never seen anybody do that before like take and revamp their wig to make it have lace. I don't know how it's going to go, but i have a plan in my head. So keep a lookout for that. One too, if you're interested in fixing up the cheap old, wigs that that just have the sucky parts, you know what i'm talking about, or maybe you don't - i don't know, but either way they suck. So, let's move on with the video. Shall we all right so we're going to take the ponytail holder out? Oh and i was going to mention um what i'm using right here i was saying: i don't expect you to have it and then i went off on a tangent. I'M like kind of. Oh look at the place uh. What i was saying is right here to style my wig, i'm using one of my backdrop stands. So it's just a it's a stand. It holds backdrops. I mean i do videos, so you know i have backdrops. I used to do photography as well, which i'm i mean. I still do that on the side, but what i did is i stuck. I shouldn't show you my secrets before i stuck a sock on the inside, because it was a little bit too loose all right. Get her off seriously: okay, i'm not being dramatic. It was hard go suck. Let'S take the wig off, see what we got. Okay, so first things first to make it stay on the mannequin head. I did put these little deals together. The little clips that are on the back part of your wig there's a place in the wig that you can attach them to there's little little loops and then there's also a way that you can just attach it together and, as i've said before, i have an Incredibly small head, so i attach them together and then it just cups the back of my neck. So here we go enough. Talking auntie! Oh my gosh you're, probably ready to quit the video, but it's all good because i'm going to show you something cool okay. So, let's check this out. First of all, i have to take this wig off and you guys get to see my wig cap yay. Okay, so now there we go, got that no problem, we'll just toss the side something's falling down. You guys know it happened. Sorry, like i am so excited to try this i've been waiting till the weekend, because i usually do i do my wig videos more on the weekends, because i have four kids that are in homeschool right now. So trying to do a longer video during the week is hard. Let'S check her out, so i have the lace front, cut um. I hope it's enough. I might i'm not sure if i'll have to cut it a little bit more or if it'll be good um, and then it looks like the way this wig goes. Let'S just look here um, so it looks like there's not really a part in it. It just kind of goes back, um there's a lot of hair, i was gon na, say something else, and the style of it is basically a longer a line which i really like, i think i'll put it on now yay. So how i do it is. I just go from the back okay. If it has bangs, i kind of go from the front, so the bangs don't tuck in, but if it doesn't have bangs, then i go from the back and i push put my hands right: there: whoa ash, whoa, whoa. Okay. We got it really. I'Ve done this hang on okay, um! This is also a um comedy channel too. Okay for the third time i'm going to put this wig on or for third try anyway, first time, okay, how to get that little band down there. So it'll stay and it looks good in the viewfinder. I'M gon na get a little bit close to you. It'S okay, i'm sorry! I i'll wear my mask if you want um, but i need to like kind of style this baby and i like to just use the viewfinder. So here we go and then you can see like what the hairline looks like. Oh my gosh. Does that hairline not look just totally real whoa hang on. Let me get closer. Sorry, let me get closer, so you can see all of my wrinkles yeah. I mean i can see the mesh a little bit but i'll i'll fix that with a little bit of foundation underneath um yeah, i like it, so it's nice and thick um i'll turn around and show you the back of it. Oh, this is so cute whoa. Okay, so turn around yay. This is my 88 wig from etsy. I absolutely love it. It'S probably going to be one of my favorite wigs, even though i say that in like every video, i'm like this one's gon na be my favorite and then i get another one. I'M like this one's gon na be my favorite, so um, eventually i'll i'll, have a bunch of favorites. So that's great i'll have a fun time. Choosing. Thank you so much for watching.
