What'S good youtube, today's video is going to be about how i construct my wigs, so stay tuned. Here are a few things that you're going to need to start your wig you're, a needle and thread t pens, a mesh stone cap or whatever cap you prefer and, of course, your mannequin head, which you can purchase from off of amazon. We'Re going to first start by securing that mesh dome cap so that it won't move we're going to be using a 5x5 closure. As you can see, i've already bleached the knots and plucked it a little bit you're going to bring the closure down above the dome cap, just a few inches just to give it that little space and then you're going to secure the sides make sure you stretch It from left to right as flat as possible so that it won't bulk up when you try to sew it down. Once you get that closure secure, honey and flat, i usually just pin mines up and just clip it so that i can see exactly what i'm doing when i'm sewing. I don't have to tell you how to thread a needle, because we all know how to do that. That'S, like the easiest part, the next part you got to be careful now this is a mesh dome cap. So you really don't have to worry about like the back part, but the band part when you start sewing it to secure it, make sure you're pushing that needle through the closure through the mesh dome cap, just the top layer of the band not pushing it all. The way through, because if you do and you got a big head like me - your wig is going to be small and it's going gon na be sitting up. There'S no way that you're gon na be able to fit that on your big ass head. I'M trying to tell you don't make the mistake. I made it too many times messed up, so many wigs. I made it work, but hey, listen, i'm just trying to tell y'all. That'S like the biggest thing right there and i don't measure like some people, draw the lines around to measure where they're laying their tracks, but i kind of just play it by ear and nobody got time for that and you're going to want to do this. All the way around, so it doesn't matter, you can start from left to right. Just make sure you secure that closure all the way around. Just so all the way around. Once you get past the band, you can sew like regular, because it's a mesh dome cap now, if you're using a complete dome cap, that's not mesh, then baby make sure you do not stick that needle all the way through the wig. Just that top layer is all you need to secure it now, once you start securing and laying the front part, and you get like kind of towards the middle of the side, i kind of pull it back, just to make sure my closure is flat once you Get that closure secure, we're going to start sewing our tracks on. So i usually start from my t-pins and i sew my first track on the actual band of my dome cap and make sure when you're securing that first track on the band do not go all the way through that mesh dome cap band. Because again, remember if you sew it through the band, your wig is not going to fit. If you got a big head, so keep that in mind so you're going to sew it through the track through the top layer of the wig band and pull it and you're going to keep doing that all the way around before i even start sewing that first Track down, i put like double knots in the thread just to secure it a little bit more secure the edges. At least you can see me doing that now. I always double my tracks when i first start sewing in the back, just because i like the back to be full um, so you can see me doing that they do make a product that you can use to seal your wefts to prevent like shedding and things Like that, but i didn't use that because i didn't have any so that's up to you, you can do it doesn't matter and you're going to sew the tracks all the way around do the same thing, so you're going to put it through the track through the Top layer of the band and keep sewing now, once you get to the end of each side, i usually just do the pull over method. I don't cut my tracks until i get like more towards the top to just to make it flat, so it won't be bulky, but in the back i usually just do the pullover method and keep sewing all the way around you're going to keep sewing from side To side just to create that? U, just as if you're creating a! U part all the way up until you get to the closure now, as you can see the way that i close my sides, i stopped doubling my um tracks and i actually sewed the end on the the side of the closure, if that makes sense and make It real flat, no bulkiness, okay, want to do that until you get to the top part of the closure, and you see that little space right there you're gon na make it as flat as possible, sew that down and then we're gon na cut the end, and Then, once i cut the end, i'm gon na sew that corner piece just to lay it down really flat, so a completed wig. So now the last part you're going to cut that extra piece of the mesh where you sewed your closure and you're going to cut it all the way around, be careful not to cut the thread or your closure is going to be falling off. So once you finish, cutting that extra cap part off your wig should look something like this and, of course, once it's done, you'll do your customizing in the front of tweezing and things like that. Don'T be scared to squeeze now the only advice that i can give when you're tweezing your wig to make it look a little bit natural in the front is to part it and tweeze and different spots, don't tweeze in the same spot, because you can create bald Spots and we all know how that can go, it can be fixed. It always can be fixed. It'S a wig, it's not your hair, so you can definitely make it work but tweeze in different spots and comb. It back. Some people put the wig over a white towel so that way they can see exactly what they're doing. But i mean i was in a rush. So do it works for you and, of course, use that straightening comb to make it as flat as possible all around, and there you go. You can always customize your wig on your head as well. I tweeze my part just to make sure i'm giving very much scalp okay period now. This is my first wig that i made in a while. So here is the finished. Look. Okay, finished look, and this is on my head, giving very much scalp period.
