Hello Glam'More-Us Gals! I wanted to share with you guys a very important topic on Traction Alopecia. I understand that a lot of us/ you guys are opting to do your hair at home instead of visiting a salon and I wanted you guys to have some knowledge on some risk when choosing to wear any type of hair extensions, especially upart wigs. It's important when wear any type of hair extensions to refrain from constantly causing tension on the same areas of your hair. I just want you guys to remember to switch up your parting when doing sew ins, refrain from only sewing the perimeter of your upart wig, and choose different styling options like quick weave or wigs to help reduce the possibility of thinning or balding. Traction Alopecia happens over a period of time so its effects are not seen immediately. I hope you guys enjoy this video and don't for get to GLAM'MORE!

Hello, you guys it's your girl, glam welcome back to glam's corner. I miss all you guys and hello to all of my new subscribers, hey y'all um. So today this video is about you part wigs and, if you haven't noticed in the title um, i have a big concern with um you par wigs. We'Re not really a big concern. Just want to give you guys a couple of tips: um when you're wearing a u-part wig, i'm pretty sure you guys have heard of um traction alopecia. Now you may know somebody you may have a family member or maybe you've never seen it before, but traction. Alopecia comes from placing too much tension on areas of the head. It doesn't matter which area but placing a lot of tension, a lot of weight on certain areas of the head, and this comes to mind to me with you part wigs, because i'm not sure if they're actually doing this or they're just not mentioning that they're doing This in their videos, but most of the time when you see people do their you part wigs on youtube. They are sewing this and this part of their u-part wigs. Now sometimes people sew the back and a lot of times. People don't even touch the back cuz. It'S like you're, not gon, na, see it anyway. So my thing with you part wigs is, i don't want you guys to just sew down this and this i need for you to go back into your wig and you need to sew down. You can just part it anywhere, but you want to just go back in here on the inside and you want to sew inside of here, and you want to sew inside of here and even somewhere in the back and the reason why. I say it's important to do that, because if you're just sewing this part of your upright wig every time you comb every time you brush, even when you have the curling iron or the flat iron, and you run it down your hair you're pulling this area that You have sold on. There is no other stability on your u-part wig, but this part that you have sold down so you're, creating an opportunity to develop traction alopecia and anybody can develop that, like i said it comes from continuous, pulling continuous stress on certain areas of the head, so this Area is what you're going to constantly pull and tug and place tension on, because that's the only thing that's keeping your upar wig down traction alopecia. It could be permanent, it could be temporary, but one thing that's important is that it's something that happens over time, so there are certain people that it may happen quicker to than others, people who have fine or thin hair you're, going to start seeing thinning and balding In this area, if you continue to only sew this area down people with more thicker quartz hair, it may take a little longer, but it's still there's a possibility still there for you to develop traction alopecia who wants that, like we already have enough problems with our Edges breaking off and breakage and shedding and all this other stuff who wants to deal with baldness and thinning, and so i just bring it up because you know i make you part wigs for my clients and um. I'Ve had a couple of people who who are sewing them on at home after it's being made, and they come back in and it's like. Oh my hair is standing. I don't understand why it's so thin, it seems like it doesn't cover the tracks or the wefts. The way it used to it doesn't blend, and that could be a possibility now there are other things, but attraction alopecia to me is like the biggest thing. I don't want any of you guys to experience that i don't know if you even ever thought of that, but i thought i would share with you guys, and so yes, this is the you part wig. I have, of course, my perimeter out and, like i said, my wig is sewn down here, but it's also sewn down in here in here and somewhere in the back and um. So when i'm pulling and tugging i'm not just pulling on this area, it has some stability within this wig. So yeah you guys, i'm just gon na style, my hair. This is a u-part wig and i'm just gon na style it for you guys. I'M gon na throw some curls in here, and i hope you guys enjoyed the video so stay tuned. You um uh do uh uh. Okay, do so uh am heavy weapons, guys good! Okay, you guys, i am officially done um, so yeah. I don't have much left to say. I hope you guys take into consideration what i mentioned at the beginning of this video about traction, alopecia and you part wigs um. All i did was just place. Some big body curls in my head. I know i got extra carried away with the fluffing. I just hate like really manufactured looking curls, so i had to you know finger comb all that out so yeah i did get a little caraway, i'm guilty. What can i say, don't say: you've never done it because i know you have so you guys. This is the end of the video. Please don't forget to comment rate and subscribe and i'll see you guys next time, bye,
