Hey everybody. Thank you so much for tuning in today. As you know, it is Wonder Woman we Wednesday, and so every single Wednesday we're right here. Answering your questions or teaching you how to make a better wig wigs are just like taking off and taking the life of their own. So anybody out there that's trying to make a wig and you don't know what we have to start with. I'M gon na help. You today so come on: let's take a look at some wig caps. First before we do the wig cap, so I want to show you a couple of week heads that you might want to get started with. So this is a silicone. This is actually a silicone. Wig head - and this is a styrofoam wig head along with this head right here. What is the difference between these heads? It'S small, medium and large. These two styrofoam wigs head. You can actually get in like a craft store. So if you go to any of your local craft store, these are the heads you want to start with. Why are these important? Because if you have a small head, this is the one you want to go in. You got a big head kind of medium, big head. You can kind of work with this okay, so why is this important? This is usually when I make all of my wigs with because it actually grips the cat's a lot better. So this one is like a size, probably like a 21 inch, so this is a great way you usually have to order these on my Amazon. Now, let's talk about wig caps. So when we're dealing with we capture, everybody use wig caps differently for different reasons. I'M gon na start you, let's say I'm gon na start you with this one. This is my all-time favorite. This is what I will use the majority of 80 % of all the weeks that I make in-house. This is what I make it with this wig right here. This we kept here. This is a good wig as well. What you do is you put the hair on the wig and you can ventilate the hair a lot better, meaning that this once all the tracks are on, you can actually remove the plastic okay, and so it's a little lighter. This one is, if you are a ventilator, and you know how to actually pull hair through the actual cats. Okay, so that's what this one is good for now. This is my all-time thing. This is my second favorite. These are your local beauty. Supply store. Don'T cap! These are absolutely my favorite again, I'm gon na tell you why? Because this already has a band in it and these usually fits hey, they will fit the head for usually medium and small. That'S why I love these. These are great for small heads now this is another dome cap, but it doesn't have the strength, so I would say stay away from these, because these are usually for really really big hair, but they don't have enough elasticity as well as as well as you'll have A lot of leftover um bulk, so these are my least favorite. These two are not my absolute favorite at all, so my two favorite for making wigs are the dome cap and the neck cap. These are absolutely the best caps to make wigs out of. Let me show you another wig cap, this one is called a partial front lace, as you see here right here that has the silicone base on it. Why is that important? That is important because if you have alopecia in the front, this actually help you keep your tape down and you don't get the tape in the glue all in your neck. Also, as you see, I've already sold on my strap for extra security, I'm going to show you what that wig looks like in a moment, but in the meanwhile this week is called a full lace wig. These are your Rolls Royce weeks. These are the top of the line, because every single hair has been placed in individually, one strand at a time. So I love these wigs but as for this week right here, there are another reason why I like this, because if you come up close, if you look at the hairline, you can't really tell where the hair begins and in and again, if you like the tape, You can use the tape right here, put it down and then remove the tape later. I'M going to show you, so I want you guys to come. Follow me, I'm going to show you exactly what this wig looks like when it's on one reason why this wig is a plus is because again it has the strap and it has two silicon base so come on. I'M going to show you, I'm just simply gon na take this week off and okay trying to get the cameras situated. So there are there any questions out there. If anybody have any questions for me on a Facebook or YouTube, anybody have any questions for me. Okay, so for the vineyard, lady camp, what I'll do is I'll? Have you to go back to YouTube and subscribe to the YouTube page, and you can see all in that stuff all over again, I'm gon na show you what this week looks like. So I'm just going to kind of take this off put her down and I'm gon na show you again, here's the strap and I'm just going to take the strap put it in the back. It'S like this down, I'm gon na. Actually, as you see the part here, I'm gon na move the part over to the side, and you know what I'm gon na do. I'M gon na grab my vent brush and I've already cut a bob into this. So what I'm gon na do is I'm gon na pull it back. So look more natural, I'm gon na put a little bit of my hair out because I have a hairline. So if you do have hairline, I said be real careful using the baby here, simply because when you do a lot of the baby hair, you have a tendency of breaking your hair off okay. So that's what this looks like it looks pretty natural. I mean it's really cool, it's real easy again. If the wind blows and the wig and the hair flows back a little bit, you still have that natural hairline. So that's why that's really really really convenient again. You just kind of pull the hair down. That'S one of the wig caps. What it looks like while is on I'm gon na show you another way. Cap, I'm gon na show you what the dome we a cat looks like. So I've already made a dome way. Cat and that's this one right here - this is your dome, and this is my second favorite. I love this wig cap because it is great for small, medium heads. So as you look here, I've already sold the clips in I got the clips in. I got the cones and I've sewn it completely. So let me show you what this wit looks like really easy, so these weeds really don't need a strap because they come with the strap already, and so this was what this week looks like, and it's so comfortable. Really easy to put on it stays really really secure. You got a clip here. You have a clip here. You have a clip in the back and a clip in the front, so it's really really secure. Let me tell you another thing: why I like it? The dome cap is because this actually helps protect your edges, so if you really are just conscious, this, along with your stocking cap, is great. Somebody wanted to see the ventilating wig again. That'S what this looks like okay, so this you usually can order from a specialty store again they're, not my favorite, because they're harder to work with this type of cap is my favorite. These are just my favorite they're easy because they fit the majority of the hair. Long as you know how to use the strap once you do your measurements, you really really can get an amazing way. I'M gon na show you what one of those wigs look like once you cut it. Give me a second okay. So if you take a net wig, I also put a closure here. So there's my closure. There'S the net there's my combs, I usually use fire comes. I put two in the back two on the side and one in the middle. That'S optional, sometimes you'll need it, and sometimes you want. Let me tell you another secret. You do not specifically need this part here once you put a closure in so what I usually do is, after I put the closure in. I usually take be really careful because you want to punch puncture a hole in the closure. Just follow a line along the line, and you cut this piece off because it's not needed anything, that's not needed on the wig. I am really adamant of getting it out of there, so one reason why you want to do that is because now it's gon na look more natural. So now all you have is a natural look verses, the black. So this is what it looks like on the inside. So now, let me show you this, and this will be the last thing that I'll show you this week right here. Let me bring it around. This is my all-time favorite wig made with this cap made with a strap. These are really easy to get you get these in your local fabric store a lot of the things remember. This is construction, so you're pulling together a project. So a lot of things you can't really get from your local craft, store your fabric stores and things like this well with this week. All I did is, I did pluck the front some of the pluck. I also bleached the knots. This is what a closure wig looks like with that Nick I've already sewn in my strap. I got my closure. My clips in my combs in I usually put my straps right on the end, where the temples are right with an ear part where the ear portions are. So, let me show you what this wig looks like. How you put it on is again, you take the strap you put it on. I got my ponytail put it beneath the ponytail. First call. Second, comb fling it back. The thing is to ladies: I want to share with you be real careful when you're dealing with I'm gon na just pull a little bit of my hero, even though I did pluck the edges. I want everyone to still be careful and conscious uh your edges, because again, if you're, not careful with your edges, you can rub them off with a wig. Now, if you are l apprecia - and you don't have edges, then that little silicone piece - those are the type of ways you want to look for. If you can't find one call us at two four, eight five, four six, four, two four seven or visit our website and we can kind of help you find a wig, so the net that I showed you was my all-time favorites. This is what a strap the combs and the closure, and all I'm going to do is put a little piece right here to blend in and that's it so once you have the right cap, the right strap, combs, pull it all together. I promise you you'll be satisfied every single time, if you have any questions, leave them in the comment. Remember go to our YouTube: the host the host hair on YouTube subscribe. J R: Thank you for being so open and willing to show us everything. I appreciate you.

Cathy Grandberry: Thank you. Very informative. Do you make them for clients? I’m not interested in trying it myself.

Demetre Ofurie: i absolutely enjoyed this video. I just made a wig with a dome cap using the glue gun method. My wig fit but I found that after using the glue the cap is not very flexible. Also I have an undercut so my wig doesn't stay as secure as I like even though I did put the elastic strap in my wig. Also I love what you said about baby hair, I am not a fan of laying down edges because I do not want to lose my edges. Once again thanks for this video.

missladyzee44: What Dome Cap would you recommend for making braided wigs ? What brand ? Have you heard of a tool that keeps the part straight, other than a duck clip ? I've seen it used in another wig video but I can't find the video

Mika Savage: Glad I found your channel!! You are sooo helpful & informative!!! #sharing

Dildred Suttles: This was very Informative I am New to the Wig world and learning. I am New to your Channel. Thanks

Darasimi Tv: Wow.............Am glad I came across your channel,i do make wig for myself with the dome cap with elastic but I bought the one without elastic and I have been redoing the wig coz it was too bulky and it just won't close perfectly,so that kind of wig cap, what can it be used for?braids or pixie hair? Thank you for sharing

K Shante J: Great video it helped me out a lot!! Thank you

Saquorya Smith: Can you ventilate? If so would you recommend someone starting out with making wigs to aspire to ventilating?

Cecile Mills: Love the wig cap that is breathable. How can I get one of your full-laced wigs?

Shae Renee: My mother has a large head and her closure wig with strap doesn’t fit. It was so disappointing after hours of work. What’s the best cap for large heads?

Kianna D: I made a upart wig I used a dome cap and it was too much room in back do you have a video for smaller wig caps

Lot Smith: I like how you don't used any glue at the hair line.

Patty Carosi: Wow you sure did give alot of great information. Thank you so much. Where is your shop?

Lady D: I like the video but please avoid standing in front of a mirror. The people in the reflection were very distracting. I would love to see how to make scalp in the crown of the wig for those who like pixie short styles.

Lois H. Percente: Thanks so much for the tutorial on wig caps. I am a beginner and your video has narrowed it down for me on what to look for, on my journal in finding the perfect cap. You have a fan in me, I just subscribed. Lois

Rhonda Jenkins: When I make my eigs, I glue them on the head. But it is always too small. Should I glue tracks on the cap while on head ?

Nandisa Ngubelanga: you're just wonderful to listen to!!!! Subscribed! Beautiful!

kellegeez: That last unit is really cute!

Rhonda Jenkins: I like dome caps but how can i customize for ear tabs? I made 2 wigs on the mannequin head and they came out tooo small when i put it on my head. So do i need to glue tracks on cap with the cap on my head? I have alopecia in the front so i want the wig to cover edges.

Sparkle Lady: im constructing a wig for my client. shes. a little extra and likes alot of hair...beyonce level...alot.shes geting a lace closure but she wants a breathable cap. told her the breathable cap isnt as strong but she insists she needs her unit this way. it gets hot where we live and she says her scalp cant deal. whats is the strongest wig cap that i can use to hold all these extra long bundles with the cap ripping or splitting and still giving her what she feels she needs?

yajohn2: Is that wig you have on is it in your website just what I’m looking for for

Rhonda Foxx: I wish she would have told us what is the purpose of the tab in the back of some wig caps. Some wigs have a tab in the back... why?

Cleonie Mcfarlane: I love your details...i have a big head and can't seem to find a frontal wig orc360 that fit me good . Can you customize one for me ?
