Hi, ladies thanks for joining me today today, this video is going to be and how to remove the frizz from your curly wigs, your curly afro, styled wigs. This is a weekly maintenance that I do on this way. This wig is the Miko wig, and I review this wig back. I think it was March 27th and um April 27th made 30 days of me wearing this wig. This is the only wig I've worn in the last month and a half. So today is roughly about the second week of May and um, so yeah I've been wearing this about a month and a half now and what I've been doing to keep it. Looking refreshed and keeping the natural curl pattern visible. If I've been trimming away a lot of the frizz that this wig creates - and this is the natural curl pattern right here - let me just move my hand loose. Do that, for you, that's the natural curl pattern. This is the reason why we bought this wig so that beautiful curl pattern, but what's been happening, is that just from daily wear finger finger, styling poofing up a little bit that this wig does get more frizzy, and so I've been removing a lot of the first. Let me show you right here: I've been removing a lot of the frizz over the last month and a half and uh. So this is what accumulates on the outer side of the wig in the inside underneath, and it just makes the wig look older and it doesn't make it look as nice as it did when we bought it. So what I'm going to do today is I'm going to show you just how to remove. That is very quick. It'S easy! It'S simple! You don't have to worry about destroying your wig. If you follow these instructions, you won't do that and down. Let me just show you what you'll need to do that with you'll need a pair of scissors, I'm going to be using these scissors today, because I can't find my cutting shears that I used to remove the lace from my wig. But these scissors are just as good, so, if have scissors similar to this or any type of scissors, it's really good just use what you have and use what you feel comfortable with. I'M also going to show you how to remove the frizz by using this hair cutter comb. So if you have these at home, you can use this also. This is very good. It'S matter-of-fact sometime! I like using this. This is much quicker and more efficient, especially if you need to work a little bit faster if it, if you're, trying to squeeze something this, this job in-between something else you're doing this, this works really well. You can get these combs from the beauty supply store. They come in different colors and this comb runs between $ 1.99 and I think 249, so you'll find only alarmed if you find this comb from different prices. Just shop where you get the best price you're also going to need some duck-billed clips and I'm going to be using two of them just to hold sections of the hair apart. While I cut away the frizz and laughs this is optional after you've removed all the frizz from your wig, you may want to just give it a little bit of shine, and you can do this with this wig and braid spray Sheen. This one is by a company called natty and it says for natural and synthetic hair, and this size is a 4 ounce bottle, and I got this for 129 and again from beauty supply store to beauty, supply, store. I'Ve seen this one for different prices. So again, just shop where you know you can get the best price, so I'm going to begin by just holding some of the well first, you have to find out where your frizz is now. I guess you can kind of tell. I have a lot of frizz here in the front, looks kind of frizzy in the front right along here, so I'm going to start working from the front first. But what I'm going to do is I'm going to hold back some of the hair with the duckbill clip and I'm doing that because I want to try to get inside also of the wig inside the curls. So that's where a lot of the frizz is occurring. Also, so I'm just going to hold back that piece for now and I'm going to just show you all exactly what it is I'm going to do. Let me move in just a little bit now with your fingers. You want to find the hair that looks really frizzy, that's different from the natural curl pattern of the way and that's always very easy to identify, because it just looks, fuzzy and frizzy, and it has doesn't have a defined curl pattern in here here and I'm going To actually not to work in big chunks, just take small bits at a time so that you don't cut away any of your natural curl to your wig, and you want to just kind of pull that frizzy part. As you can see, we've got some of the phrase right here. Let me just show you if you can see that this is it right here? You just want to just lift it up and pull it away from the rest of the hair, as well as, if you're going down to the roots, and so with the hair cutter. I'M going to show you how quick and easy it is just take. The hair hold it taut, you can wrap it around if you want to hold it nice and tight and just cut downward, so we're going to just, and it doesn't matter which side you use, because they, if, as you watch this video, I'm going to be using Either side of this hair cutter that to me it doesn't really matter. I'M going to cut downwards and you'll, hear the hair, cutting and breaking away from the rest of the wig and there's your frizz and just make sure you have a bag or something that you can just dump the frizz hair into. Because you don't want to get that all over the place and again here some more and then you just make sure I am in the camera, for you all here's another piece again, you know the frizz is different from the NAP D, the rest of the hair, Because of the curl pattern, here's a piece of hair that has a natural curl pattern that beautiful wavy curl pattern that we bought this wig for. Well, we know how frizzy pieces don't look like that. It just look fuzzy and on radit looking. So this is what I'm going to cut away. Okay again, I'm going to use the hair cutter comb cut downward, just like that and cutting downward. You can't cut the hair that's here, because the hair has to be inside the comb for you to cut. If you wanted to, if you felt a little bit uncomfortable cutting downward, you could always cut upward. We want to show you how to do that. I'M just opening up the way going in the inside so that I can remove a lot of the phrase. That'S inside there and we have some frizz inside this Miko wing right here. So as you become accustomed to doing this, you can put that away because that's hair that has a definite curl pattern. You might have to pull it away because, right about now that frizzy hair gets all wrapped around the natural curl of the wig. So we want to take it and you can cut upward if you like, so we're going to do it going upward. Okay, just like that and again there's your hair, so I am going to show you how to do this using scissors. I, like using the scissors, also use a comb if you like, I don't recommend it and don't use a brush either just kind of use. Your fingers, it's easier to use your fingers just to get a hold of all this frizz and now, with the scissors and again pull the hair away from the rest of the hair, making sure that it's far away from on what you're going to cut downward. As if you're cutting towards the cap, so here's the hair right here - and I want to use these scissors now and I'm going to you - can cut in an upward motion. If you like, like this, going upward or you could use a downward motion, cutting if you like so now, we're going to going to cut in an upward motion, pulling the hair pulling it taut and then removing it and here's the hair right here. Okay! So what I'm going to do guys is I'm going to finish up this way and I'm going to get back to you and show you. The finished results see how nice it's going to look and that trimming that we did by removing the frizz. That should last about four to five days until you recheck it again to see if there is any more frizz being created. So let me get back to you when I finish I'll, see you in a minute: okay guys. So I'm finished removing a lot of the frizz. Don'T worry if you can't remove everything, because you know all the frizz, because that's going to be like you're going to be working forever and being possible. But this, let me show you how much I did remove from this one session. This is how much frizz was either on top of the hair or underneath inside. That'S why I want you guys to look in. Oh you. Should your clips to hold up the hair and then go inside and just remove the frizz so now this mica wig has made with a lot of tracks, so don't worry about making. If you think it's cutting away, the frizz is going to make it look smaller or shorter. That'S not going to happen! There'S a lot of hair here, as you can see - and this is my at least my third time since I've had this wig using this method to remove the frizz and I get a lot each time. But as you can see, the wig just doesn't look smaller. It just still looks really nice and full draw pattern. Is there it's nicely defined? This is the curl pattern that was under the frizz. You know when you have little little little bits of frizz all over your hair and just your hair doesn't look the same anymore. Just looks like a big frizz ball, but if you take your time and go through it, you know just take your time and do it that this is going to take a while may take between, depending on how fast you work and if you've done this before It should take you between 15 and 25 minutes, so I do recommend you take your time. Do it slow and you get nice results. You'Ll get your curl pattern back, at least for another week or two weeks, depending how often you wear your wig again. I wear my coat every day. This is the same way that I have worn since March 27th, when I posted that video and so now I'm going to try this on, for you guys, and you can see how it looks on me. Okay, so all done removing the fringe from the wig again, let me show you this. Is it right here? This is what I got from this time. This week's cutting it's a lot. It seems like a lot but um. If you do it at least once a week or once every two weeks, you'll be able to maintain a lot of this fridge, you won't have as much as this okay. So now I'm going to put me go on and just show you what she looks like without a lot of that surface frizz, and I forgot to tell you guys, if you remember, if you watch the original review video, I told you that I had sold combs In this way and the combs are still there - I didn't mention that to you, especially if you're seeing Miko for the first time I did so columns into this. I sold a comb in the front and then a comb way in the back, and this is Michael and now definitely can see more defined, curl pattern, which is good and, as you can see, this wig has not lost a lot of its fullness by removing all That hair this hair did not reduce the size of this wig at all. So let me just picks it up, for you guys a little bit just blend out a little bit of my own natural hair. I just kind of cut it towards the front and over the natural hair line of the wig, and this is how I wear Miko. I'Ve been wearing her now for two and a half, I'm sorry for almost two months, but I've been wearing it now for about a month and a half straight. I hope you guys found this tutorial helpful. I, like removing the frizz on this wig a lot because it it just makes a wig lasts so much longer and it makes it look prettier so much longer. You have any questions or comments. Please leave them below or if you have any personal messages, you can PMV personal message and I'll get back to you as soon as I can so we take care and you be well and I'll, see you at the next video bye, bye,

Tania Short: This is my first tutorial and it really helped!  I have a new curly wig that is adorable, however, I've only worn it for a few days and already it's frizzy!!  I realize now that I need more tools and patience to better maintain my wigs. I will definitely continue to watch your tutorials.  Thank you, Dezi!

Yvonne J: As always, Dez, you've come through.  Just ordered this unit and seeing your defrizzing method on this particular unit was great.  With the Wig & Braid spray, do you lean more on using less spray or more? And are you spraying just the affected areas or spritzing the entire unit?  Would love to hear your response.  Thanks much and God bless!

334bamagirl: Thanks Diva! I have several wigs like this one and I almost threw them out because of the frizz, now I don't have to!

Ann74 Alston: Very well explained. Now i know how to remove the frizz. Thank you so much for showing this.

LaReginaPatrizia: OMG, I thought I was the only one who did this to combat the frizzy look. By cutting the frizz, you definitely prolong the wig.

Mia: I'm gonna get me a razor comb because it seems to work really well. This is a very helpful video, Dezi! Thank you for sharing!

sheila crawford: I wish I had of saw this a month ago! I cut my wig really short to get rid of the frizz:(and i love that big curly! lol

cobeany: Thx! This was helpful. Back when I did have a curly wig I just tossed it when it got too frizzy. Question? What do you do to your hair underneath the wig?

Danielle Scarberry: Looks time consuming but i bet its waay worth it. Thank you so much for this idea c:

Sandy Palmer: Thanks for this... was wondering how to get rid of them

iamultrakim: This video was very informative.  So glad you shared it.  My question is how do you wash this unit?  I  love being able to reduce the frizz, but what about if you want to rise out the staleness that the hair and  cap sometimes get?

GigglesnGaggie: Awesome tip, thanks for sharing!

smcopywrite: great video with lots of explanation in detail. thank you for sharing

traiskin: Thank you. I have the Model Model Kathy wig and she is very thin on top. Im afraid of revealing the tracks if i cut the frizz. Any suggestions?

Alvie EK 143: That's crazy, it looks brand new. I wonder if this is what the manufacturer does to the wig during production? If buyers learned this method there would be less ppl constantly bung multiples of the same wig! Thanks for the vid!

247zeezee: looks really nice.....thanks 4 sharing!

El Jai Thunderheart: Hi Dez, like I've said before you're beatiful in anything you wear, but I have a question. First, is "Miko" human hair or synthetic and if humman for the frizzies isn't there a shampoo or leave-in conditioner that will help to eleminate the frizzies. I figuar after a while there might not be much left. Just wondering if there's a procduct on the market that we could use to tame those wild hairs back in shape even if its synthic?

Robin O'Bannon: So gracious and such a queen. Thank you!

iamultrakim: thank you so much.  this is so helpful!

99SweetCheecks: thanks for the tip :)

Invincible Beauty: I just got a beautiful lace front wig today and the curls are beautiful it there is a bit of frizz at the bottom but I don't wanna cut it but I have the razor comb and shears.

Invincible Beauty: I'm new to wigs and this is probably a really stupid question does the curl come out of curly wigs when you wash them?? Or do they stay curly like a naturally curly haired person? Thank you to whoever can answer. Thank you!

Frances Westmoreland Huston: Thanks Dezi this is my video it was very helpful.

Dezi1016 aka Désirée: @pixiepinups Hello Beautiful, some times I take of the thumbs up/down....lol...how are you? I'm loving your wig tuts. They look very pretty on you. Thanks for watching my videos!!

Living Life One day at a time: I fine the razer comb to be more efficient. But I use the remi wig spray to bring back the life in my old wigs

epbottom: Very Pretty!!!

Diana Holtham: if you do this each time eventually you will cut out all the hair

Bobbie Bentonf: Dezi I have my first synthetic wig, and I will follow your instructions as I too have frizz now.  However, my question,   Am I suppose to wash the wig?  I have in the last 30 days been spraying it with wig sheen.  To me it looks as if maybe I should wash it.  I don't know anything about wigs, as this is my first wig.  Can you say if I should wash it, and if so which products to use.  I was told by a co-worker not to wash it because it will be a matted mess........PLEASE help!

Diana Holtham: what can use to prevent these fuzzs

Patricia Spann: Hi I just look at your video, because I have a curly wig, and I mess around and brush in it one Sunday morning mostly in the top tho and it really frizzed up, is it possible that I can do as you showed in your video and make my wig worth wearing again?

50LittleMama: Very interesting method.

Sunshine SQ: Hi I'm a mom trying to remove frizz from a curly wig loaned to my little girl for a big Irish dance festival in a couple of days. It's a frizzy mess. I'm following your instructions. Can I use hair gel to smooth the ends?

Junette Mirlande: You are so beautiful , love this tutorial. Did you know my yorkie's name is Mr Meeko, lol. TALK TO YOU SOON, LOVE U
