California Cop Drags 20-Year-Old Woman Out Of Car By Her Hair

Humboldt State University is investigating the now-viral video of a woman’s arrest after it was posted to Facebook Sunday. Samantha Luna, 20, and her friends were pulled over by cops near the northern California campus. One of them is arrested for sticking her head out of the sunroof and Luna was not happy about it. In the video, she asked the cop why he was being rude. When the cop answered back saying it was her disposition which was disrespectful, the two got into a verbal scuffle. #InsideEdition

Get it on video Trinity, this young woman is being arrested, but she's not going down without a fight jail, don't get to resist 20 year old, Samantha, Alonso Luna and her friends were pulled over by cops near Humboldt State University in Northern California. One of them is arrested for sticking her head out of the sunroof and Samantha is not happy about it. I'M sorry, I'm sorry that you're, the one that's being rude, how am I being rude seriously, you're about two seconds from going to jail for public intoxication? Do you not understand that, so I would stop talking if I were you, but Luna continues to argue with the cops the cop has had enough. You are going what's that, try get it on video drink in a 98 she grabs the cop by her hair. Go with my hair: she won't let go so. The cop tells the other officers to get some scissors and cut her hair. We asked security expert, Steve Karndean, to analyze the video, even if the police officers were wrong and arresting her, she has no right to resist arrest. It'S a crime in the state of California. Luna was charged with suspicion of public intoxication and battery on an officer check out her mugshot she's, smiling. She posted the videos on Facebook and blasted the cop. She had no need to act so unprofessional. She was seeking a reaction out of me when she should have been de-escalating the situation. The University says it's investigating miss Luna, who is not a student. The school says she's going to file a lawsuit. You

Your Neighbour: NOW, let's go to the comment section to see what the experts have to say about this situation.

Noel Covarrubias: Seeing this is so disgusting. My mom would whop my ass if I ever talked like that to anyone.

chips: ”Even if the officers shouldn’t arrest you, you cant resist being arrested”

Ricardo N.: This all could've been avoided had two things been true: 1) had the girl just remained calm and respectful 2) had California not existed.

Michelle Carter: Imagine how many arrests wouldn't be needed if people would be respectful and cooperative. Fight the battle in court, not on the street. You won't win THAT fight.

Rick J: She got arrested for resisting arrest? Seems paradoxical

SAGE XX: I had a situation like this with a rude(he was also racist) cop in Mississippi. Mine ended very differently because I did as I was told at the end of the day. You never win in a physical altercation with the police. Even if they're in the wrong, it's much harder for you to hold them accountable after the fact while you're in the hospital or DEAD‍♂️

Mr. Grinch🥵: this right here shows to me she is a very respectful child can't imagine how proud her parents must be

William Diaz : I’ve stood through a sunroof at a red light before. Cop saw me, shook his head in disapproval, pointed down I apologized and that was all No ticket, no resisting

Nicole Bonetti: Entitlement at it's finest! This girl really thinks the cop is just trying to get a reaction out of her? Jeez

Vesal Misagh: This right here is a perfect example of why parents should discipline their child

bigcrabrob: I get pretty aggravated with much of the police violence I see, those instances where it is not warranted. This young woman was an idiot and frankly got what she had coming. You do not resist arrest; you do not assault officers.

me ess: Being exposed to problematic intoxicated people is the core of police’s job. The whole point is to have them qualified to deal with these situations where they de-escalate and maintain professionalism

Lloyd Pratt: We live in a time where resisting arrest can make you millions. So I understand her attitude.

Faithless Furry: No matter how entitled this girl was, the officer needs to hold themselves to a higher standard. This was conduct unbecoming of a police officer, who has to deal with situations that make this look like a senior refusing to eat their peas.

Grammer Notzi: Social media has created an entire generation of entitled people who have never been told no.

••: This was excessive but at the same time she needs to understand you don't disrespect a police officer and u definitely don't resist arrest.

Maria DeBlanc: I have stuck my head out of a sunroof in a limousine but I have never disrespected an officer, my daddy was in the USMC, he would have beat my ass and I was more afraid of him than anyone else! Glad there weren’t phone cameras around when I was young!

Abu Mohammad: Usually I'm not with cops but in this one I'm with them 100%

Lacey Hogue: She’s ripping her hair out to the point she won’t let go?!?

Sick Boy: Imagine how people would react if that cop was a man.

mehd: When you educate a generation to resist arresting this happens.

Gary: These officers did this spoiled brat a huge favor by not tazing her, although they would have been 100% within their rights to do so. These officers were well disciplined.

J Mo22: Don't resist. It's that simple. Its so sad how many young adults and kids these days have absolutely no respect for anyone at all let alone law enforcement and honesty believe it earns them bragging rights to be disrespectful and post it in social media.

e. erin: This is what happens when we treat our daughters like special little princesses who can do no wrong, then send them out into the world for everyone ELSE to have to deal with. She did this to herself. She needed to shut her mouth, and show some respect.

Kimmy Kat: Imagine the cop pulling her hair only to realize it was a wig lol

Byron Rooltor: Love to see these entitled kids get what’s coming to them.

11outback: Some cops really know how to escalate things!

Tracy Reedy: STOP RESISTING ARREST!!! Being calm and nice goes a LONG WAY

Latia Games: The cop can't do that it's unprofessional dragging her out the car instead of asking her nicely or asking for back up

NICOLE GOMEZ: Am i the only one who feels like they’re both in the wrong in some type of way ???

Conor Pitterl: yea man, the only things you have to say to a cop is "Am I under arrest?" and "Call my Lawyer". Keep it to that bare minimum and your lawyer will love you.

AvaCONTENT: Ouch! I’ve gotten my hair pulled hard before, and IT HURTS LIKE HELL

Elizabeth Smith: Brat! She’s probably a “mean girl” too. We’ve all known and been disgusted by her kind.

HerbalExtract: its an important lesson that she clearly needed to learn

Pillow: When you have no idea which one is the protagonist or villain in a movie:

Deathcrusher: The cop was wrong clearly what was the need of cutting a 20 year old's hair and traumatizing her for life . Such people should not be given such a good post they clearly misuse it in every way possible . I salute the girl who still is brave enough to not be broken hearted and smiled for her mugshot

red cookies: The lesson here is: always comply with police. If they’re wrongfully arresting you, you can sort it out and sue later. Silly girl.

Ced Sidewinder: A classic example of how kids turn out when parents (or parent) set no boundaries, never mete out discipline, and buy into the notion their little angels can do no wrong. I bet that little __ is a real joy at home

angel: okay but actually why did the cop pull her like that she could’ve asked her calmly or something

Steve Glen: Imagine if Trent forgot to press the recording button

Nykia Smith: I personally would’ve just said I’m sorry for doing that that I wouldn’t again would’ve taken my ticket and left. Could’ve tried to fight it in court or something

squatchPNW: People need to really comply with the police in these kind of situations resisting is only going to make things worse if the police were doing something wrong that's something that can be addressed later on but until then it's in your best interest to comply. It's especially important when you're dealing with the female officer because we all know how women act on their emotions not on logic.

vinkata: Correct me if I am wrong but the game looks like this: disobey orders , then escalate the situation, let no choice to the PO but to use force , get it recorded for the social media and file a lawsuit?! Strange world we live in..?!

Jorge: Bravo for the officer that disrespectful girl need to learn to respect

1172mak: I can imagine how respectful she is to her parents at home.

Mr_Curls: Honestly if it was an unlawful arrest or lawful arrest these should be handled in court. Not on the street. Anything you say or do will be used against you in the court of law.

unknown.: I have seen the same thing happened in front of me before. a car with young white girls in it not one but two of them hanging out of the cars sun roof being obnoxious and I do believe they were on alcohol from observing them I'm really not sure about the driver... So i always wondered why do these young people's drink and do stupid dangerous things like this.. and the only explanation I can come up with is that their brains can't handle the effects of alcohol. Which is a terrible thing because now the public have to deal with it....

Lynette Haley: I'm so glad this Luna girl got what she deserved. lol she will always be known for this temper tantrum.

Irene Hernandez: Horrible disrespect for the officers. The whole situation could have been taken care of in less time. This young person does not in any way reflect the many youth who indeed respect police officers and know they risk their lives every day while citizens like that young woman can feel safe in their homes.

Mieps: “Trent get it on camera, get it on camera!” She really thought that would help her case, but instead it really just backfired on her.

Jazaia: This is crazy, remember everyone keep on going you got this God is with you and loves us all no matter what spread the gospel Amen

Man Pirouz: Do cops have "the right" to insult people or use curse words? I ask because a lot of cops insult people verbally & have filthy language. And some might use "professional language" but they mean insults. An insult can be said either using street language or professional big words, but it's still an insult. And if a cop insults me I have a right to insult him/her BACK. And if he gets angry because I insulted him back & tries to arrest me, I'd RESIST the arrest.

Lucy Lucifer: These entitled little girls need to be accountable and charged for there're actions. Mom and Dad do right agree with the crown council punishment

Andre Moffett: Could you imagine the young man being in a relationship with this. Now, if that were her boyfriend, it's called domestic violence.

Izzy Casey: She’s the sort of person that would go on dr Phil and claim to be physically assaulted

Tom Beck: The problem with the law is that if this woman is being assaulted by cops to say she has no right to resist is ludicrous which is why she won a lawsuit and the cops were fired.

Nixter1911: If my grandfather found out i was in jail for acting like this, i would get a belt to the face :D

catchemalive: What we have here; is a complete lack of respect for the law!!

DebbieC96: I am siding with police this ONCE!

livingdemontrash: The girl is wrong for resisting arrest but her statement was true.

Keith Turner: As soon as she said you're about 2 seconds from going to jail shut up! I'm not saying another word.

Sarah Buckmaster: I feel bad for the cops 0:48 1:19

Incog Spectator: Lmao! The yelling on the ground is literally the yelling my oldest twig like sister does when she pesters my second older sister who is bigger than her. Then the physically bigger sister starts wrestling the oldest who is attempting to ‍♀️ away but isn't fast enough. She yells for mom and mom is in the bedroom with dad laughing at what may be happening to her because they know she intentionally tries to mess with the youngest (in a playful annoying way). 5 minutes of muffled yelling due to the youngest biting her lol and we all finally come to see what's going on and laugh as the oldest sister is in a triangle hold acting like a victim .

catchemalive: Great job cop for handling the situation!!!!!!!!!!!!

Comrade Mustard: 1. Do not argue with a cop on scene even if the cop is at fault. Argue it at court. 2. Do not resist an arrest. If the arrest is illegal, sue the cops and get $$$ 3. Do not hit a cop, duh. Simple points but people just don't get it

Moutarde Aunez: Heu...for me, the cops have over reacted in front of a kid ! as an adult, i don't pull the hair of a teenage or shout like a dog and asking for respect.

Summit313: She was charged with “suspicion of public intoxication”. I didn’t know that could charge you with 1 count of “couldn’t prove they were publicly intoxicated”

A B: "GET IT ON VIDEO" Dam girl you really wanna be laughed at that bad!?!?!?

Roblox with Ace the Avenger: To be honest, it should be legal to resist arrest

Jackie Fuentes: She’s wrong for resisting arrest butttt listen she stuck her head out a sun roof, the worst that should of happened was a damn ticket.

C Anderson: Oh look, drunk AND stupid...... Ms Luna, girl it's called LAW Enforcement. Interact calmly and with respect, and they will respond as such. Good grief.

American Boy: I love this one - seen it several times. Good going Grandpa…

Beards vs Everyone: This warmed my heart all of it.

Joe Pereira: Show me where she is in public. I see a passenger in a vehicle being forced out of that vehicle. If she’s charged with public intoxication, then everyone getting a ride home after drinking too much is also guilty of the same crime. De-escalate get her name and write a ticket no need to lower yourself and no need to forcibly act in that fashion. Once she provided her name that was it. The female cop just wanted to fight. Charge’s should be or get dropped.

Andy Watson: From what I’ve observed from this video I see an undisciplined privileged child and an unprofessional police officer who lowered herself to the girl’s level. In layman’s terms both parties were in the wrong.

Kane3e: I am 100 percent with the cops here on this one

Damian Davis: i bet she thought she was gonna get famous as a victim of police brutality smh

jonathan muniz: If it was a guy, I’m like 90% sure they would’ve been drawn their weapon. They knew they could handle her entitled ass so they didn’t bother. But almost every time a guy just question as to why he is being arrested that is usually a unholster

Tony Sams: As a parent, I can say the kids these days don't have much respect for authority. It was like that when I was growing up but not as bad as it is now.

BOZKESH: That girl has never been challenged in her Life, absolutely entitled ,let this be a lesson to her and who ever raised her

Phinneus Prune: Good job by the officers. They performed their duty well by ridding the scum from the streets.

Dannie Lynn Richard: She wants to file a lawsuit? The officer needs to find one against her!

Steven C: Is the officer still on the force? I hope so

Asif & Tousif: Never in my life ive seen someone smiling in thir "profile" picture. Thats insanity

Melana Ellis: “Public intoxication” she was in the passenger seat of a car...

Oliver White football talks: I like how the guy said look at her mugshot she's smiling as if it was a crime

elmahius LOL: This is like when cops tried me to pay them to not get arrested for walking alone without a facemask when there was nobody around. Conclusion: don't walk alone where there's nobody around, there could be cops trying to robb you lol, I was prepared to find some thief, but not prepared to find the police, what could I do, call the police? Stabb one of them and get shot and became a 'drunk suspicious who randomly attacked a cop and pushed him to defend himself'?

phoenixDARKprince: And yet, we don't nearly have the entire footage. The editing of some of these stories is the real crime.

alana kasem: She could have easily just get out of the car as being asked by the police and prevent all this from happening. Just follow the rules. The police still have authority. I guess she is stopped cos she was posing some danger to herself or the public?

yo mama: I didn't know that sticking your head out the sunroof is illegal

Joyce Sexton: The young lady is so disrespectful ,she deserves what she gets

Bourbon Cowboy: Great job, officers.

Samantha Moseley: She was trying to deescalate the situation but girl got an attitude and wouldn't shut up like the officer told her to or she would arrest her for public intoxication if ya can't hold your booze don't drink

Bully Maguire: Getting it on video spoiled her image even more

Empire State: The bigger question is why was her friend arrested for sticking her head out the sunroof? In most countries, that's not even a violation, and I would imagine the punishment to be a fine rather than arrest. Plus, how is she guilty of public intoxication? She was inside her car!

Zach Z: Even if the cops were wrong to arrest her. You have no right to resist LOL wow

2075vj: This cop was out of control! Smh

Pathfinder: "Even if it's an unlawful arrest you can't resist"

Boro Robo: I remember going to school with girls that acted like this. It's one of those that smack their lips when chewing gun
