Long Lasting Curls: Tips For Curling Hair + Hair Products & Hair Tool Recommendation

If you want to know how to make your curls last longer after styling, your wigs make sure you keep on watching today's video, I'm going to show you all of my best practices, hi everyone welcome back today's video. I want to show you some tips on how to get the longest lasting curls when it comes to your Lace. Wigs now, today's wig is a straight texture and straight textures are usually the hardest to get to hold a curl for longer periods of time. But I want to show you some of my favorite tips tools and products. I use to also just help with that. So the first thing I like to do before I curl my hair is to make sure that there are no tangles in the hair. I like to do a section by section. The first thing I'm going to take is my John Frieda frizzies, and usually people will apply this to wet hair. However, I'm going to apply it to dry hair just to tame some of the frizz. Just the light. Coating of it is all you need. You don't need to saturate the hair. You just need a light spray over the hair just to knock out some of the frizz before you start the style and as you can see, it definitely works. You can see how smooth the hair look just by using that little bit of Mount, and if I compare it to the other side, you can definitely see the change in the hair. Now, if you keep on watching later in the video I'm going to give you some more recommendations on products I like to use for my wigs, so let's jump into the curling process a lot of times. I get questions on how to make the curls last longer. Um so my technique, if you watch any of my hair styling videos, you know that I like to use different curling irons, but right now I'm going to use a flat iron and create curls. I think flat. Irons and curling wands give really great hold when it comes to the curls, but one tip I do like to use is adding rollers after I curl the hair, and normally this will help the curl to cool down before you let it loose. So if you was to create small curls, then you would use the smaller rollers. If you create bigger curls, then you would use the bigger rollers. Today I am using medium sized curls, so I'm using medium sized rollers to set these curls. I mean this is probably the best tip and the longer you let it sit the tighter the curl and the longer the curl will. Last now, when it comes to my lace, wigs, I don't use any type of like Spritz or product that is going to be too heavy. Only because a lot of those products do cause drying to the hair which can lead to Tangles, which can lead to shedding. So I try to keep the bare minimum on the hair, so when I'm using my flat iron and I'm curling the hair, this is what it normally look like this flat iron specifically made for either straightening the hair or adding curls and, as you can see, with No product, except for the frizzies, you can see how tight that curl is so once I curl the hair, then I just roll it with the hair roller and use the hair clips to hold the roller. I will link these below. They are my absolute favorite hair. Rollers now the smaller the sections, the tighter the curl and I would recommend, if you want curls to last longer, you definitely should take smaller sections to make a tighter curl. Now, for the top of the hair, I normally roll it differently and I also use like a smaller hair roller. That way I can get a tighter curl because a lot of times, the top you want to frame your facing you want volume there. So I try to curl that section differently from the back of the hair, so, as you can see, with the flat iron, I'm just taking it and curling in an upward motion, instead of a downward motion that way, I can get the hair to fall. The way I need it to once, I'm done curling it foreign ERS inside of this hair roller now, like I said, I highly recommend using the hair rollers because you can just let it sit while you do your makeup or while you are, you know doing anything Else getting ready and your curls are going to be so much better. So I'm just going to continue out on this side. I'M going to do the same process. I believe, on each side I had about four or five six: seven rollers on one side and seven on the other. Let this sit for at least 30 minutes. You can let it sit overnight. If you don't have your wig on your head, but I'm going to spray it down with the Argan Oil of Morocco hairspray. This is one of my favorite sprays. I also want to show you all some of my favorite curling tools, so this one right here is the one I'm using in today's video. This is used to straighten the hair. However, it's also made for curls. So if you want to create curls with your flat iron, then this definitely is a good one to have it has this button at the top, as you can see the blue button, where you can lock it where it will not open up, and then it has The swivel cord, which makes it easy to curl your hair without the core, getting all wrapped up now. This one is, I forgot, the size of it. I will post it on my Amazon link, but I like this one, a lot. I'Ve had it for so long and it's still very good. My absolute favorite curling iron is the T3. This curling iron is my all-time favorite. It heats up super fast. You don't need to even use a high setting for the curl to just be so like luscious like the curls, are never dried out, and I do believe what you use determines how dry or not dry your wigs are going to be. If you want a curl, that's going to hold throughout the week and you're using it on straight hair, a curling wand is the best and I recommend using a smaller barrel for your curling wands to get a tighter curl, because it's going to last longer than the Bigger barrels: now, let's talk about products, the only two products you all see me use for curling. This hair today was the Argan Oil of Morocco, hairspray love. This gives a light hold without drying out the hair and then, of course, the John Frieda frizzies. This is the leave-in conditioner spray works, so well for the hair and frizz all right. So let's take down the curls and take a look at them and see how they look. I let this sit for at least 30 minutes. I do recommend if you can possibly let it sit longer. That'S just my recommendation. I just find the curls hold a lot longer, just depending on how they cool, but, as you can see, the curls are super pretty so curled and, as you can see, they have a nice shine and they're very bouncy and fluffy so yeah I like it. I think it turned out pretty good now, if you are doing this on a body wave texture, the curls will definitely be a lot tighter, but with straight hair you cannot expect it to have that super super curl to it, just because it is straight hair. It'S meant to be straight so yeah, if you prefer lots and lots of curls definitely get the body wave textures. But this is how I look. It definitely turned out really pretty So Soft non-crunchy.
