Hey guys, it's Brittany, and today I'm coming to you guys again with a new episode of my synthetic wig 101 series. So if you haven't watch the first episode I'll put it on the info card, for you guys, I have a wig tips and tricks playlist that I also include on the info card in this video. I'M going to be talking about how to apply your synthetic wig once you get in the mail from start to finish so the week that I've decided to like demonstrate for you guys it's the week that I have on my head. But I have it in a different color as well, so we've got a win right now is from Keira Remi, and this is my second time working with them. Well, actually, I bought this one, but this is my second time like purchasing or dealing with that company and also the first time I worked with them was when I did that for weeks under $ 40 video - and I really enjoyed the wig ariana and the ariana That I had in that video was like a fuchsia is like a fuchsia color, so I wanted to go back and get some everyday colors. So I got this color here, which is the OE t1b / 30, which is a beautiful brown color. The root is in 1 begin that goes into that 30, and this is just every day a beautiful everyday look, but also my makeup is a little bit more like glamorous today, and this is a more dressed up look, but it can be every day or you Can wear it like special occasions? This is just all-around really nice week, 2 comes in the front and o come in the back adjustable straps. The cat feel is kind of on the big side, so I just in distress to make them tighter. Yes, so this is how the way it came so about two of these. This one is to number two. I wanted a solid like dark color, so I had number two all of their weeks come in this recyclable, like cardboard kind of box, and so you get your wig out of your box. Take all the tags off and stuff. This one came with a neck, so it came with some paper. This week has hard lace, and I told you guys the difference: the difference between heartless and soft lace. In my first video it can be really scratching and I even like toward a hole through mine, but not like them. The area where it counts, but that's, okay, um the parking space is really tight. You can't really see it, so I'm gon na pull some hairs out and show you guys how I do that and I'm gon na cut the lace for you guys, because that's the first thing you need to do so. I have these little scissors here. These little scissors and I'm just gon na start by using man, I'm going to start by going in the center of the League of the lace and I'm just going to cut straight up and then stop right before the hair starts to grow out of the lace. So I just cut right there, so I'm just going right in front of the hair line and just cutting pushing the hair back out of the way. So you don't get excessive, shedding just cutting. Then I'm gon na finish around the ears and I'm gon na. Do the same thing to this side of the lace and if it's easier for you to cut it on a mannequin head - and you can do that. But I have done this a million times. So I'm just cutting it in my hands, pushing the hair out of the way and continuing to cut around the hairline. I have cut off the lace and now what I'm gon na do this, I'm gon na show you guys how to pull hair out of a tight parking space. This is what the Parden space looks like. Currently, you can barely see my finger popping through. So that means we need to tweeze the part out, because it's too much hair in there start to do the pull method, which is you get a few strands out and by a few I mean no more than like. Four, don't go more than four, because once you start pulling out more than that, you can get holes in your lace and sometimes really difficult to correct, and I twirl it around my finger and I just pull it out all right. So I feel like we have tweeze enough fear out of the parking space, and this is what the amount of hair that came out, and this is what the part of the space looks like now. Oh, I don't have anything on my head anymore, because I want to go through the process of what I do. I usually put a bonnet on my head, a super bonnet on my head before I put on my wig cap, because when you wear week caps they can dry out your hair and when you put a bonnet on it, does keep more moisture in your hair. So you get like spray it down spray, your hair down with water, put oil or leave-in conditioner on your hair, put your bonnet on and then put your wig cap on before October. I used to just put the wig on top of my wig cap, but ever since I started using my wig rim, this is a. This is an essential item when I'm applying my wigs so I'll put the link to where you can purchase this in the description box, where you guys the one I'm using these are really really great. They keep your weight from slide in. So what you do is you just put it on your head, like that in the front and then just attach to the velcro in the back, I'm going to try it at the side part - and this is what we do - people that wear wigs instead of like Parting, the wig to get a side part you just shift it over so instead of wearing it in the center. If you want to wear it as a side part, you just lift up your wig and shift everything to the side that you want it to be. On and I'm a right-side part girl, so that's what I'm going to do all right. So now I have my petal brush and I'm just going to brush this wing out. Just a little bit more this week has a beautiful luster in China. It'S not an artificial look, great density. The cap is on the larger side, which, for me, is good. I haven't got much sitting shedding with this week. The only cons that I do have about this week is that the lace is really hard lace and it has filler here. So I feel up here. It'S kind of got some puffiness up there. So this point I want to make my part in space. Look more natural because you can't really see it, you can see it, but it's not as natural as a kidney. So what you gon na do is you're gon na take your face powder and I told you guys how to get your face powder. If you don't wear makeup, so what you basically do, is you look for a press powder that is the color of your skin tone or a little bit lighter some brands that cater to women of color would be like Black Radiance Maybelline has a really wide range Of press powders as well, the one I'm using is Maybelline fit me press powder and color 3:30 toffee, which is the powder I use on my face sometimes, and I'm just gon na take a brush makeup brush and I'm gon na put my face powder on my Brush and put it in my parting space to make the pardon spaceman doubt a little more and that's what my part of the space is looking right now, and this is kind of the beginner friendly application, because I have to start to see women. Even I do this now: um you'll use the wig and create your own baby hairs using the wig, which is probably what women who have who's suffering from like hair loss. They'Ll have to do with their wigs, so this is basically you're good to go after you put your party or powder in your part in space. That'S that's how you apply it and this week is really really nice. I'M liking it a lot. It does remind me of out raised natural yaki that I review like four years ago. I think - and this one is really nice too. It looks like Janie. It looks like a lot of weeks, but this week is only twenty dollars, which is really good. So shout out to Hera Remy. It took me a while to start reviewing their wigs, but I bought these two that I showed you guys and I am definitely interested and trying more wigs from their company. So if you're interested in this particular wig, I will leave a link in the description box for you guys to where you can purchase it. Here'S some other tips when um, maybe you over tweeze your part and it's too wide. If it is too, I get a matte black eyeshadow and take a brush just like you use for your parting space and just go around it. If your wig is too shiny, I use dry shampoo and I just spray it over the wig and it does less than that shine. You can also take baby powder in your hand and rub it through try not to get it like in the part in space, because it's hard to get out so you use dry, shampoo or or baby powder poor shot. You always keep a brush in your purse. Along especially with like longer wigs and wigs that tend to tangle, because this one is fresh, all I probably have to do is just run my hands through it, and this looks pretty good in my next video. I'M gon na tell you guys about storage. How I store my wigs, it's very simple, but a lot of people have asked me. I'M also going to talk about maintenance of my wigs, my synthetic wigs and we're going to probably experiment with reviving my current work wig because it is getting very stiff and I need to revive it. So I hope you guys enjoyed this application video, this one's a lot shorter than the first episode, but I didn't want to do kind of a start to finish application of my synthetic wigs yeah. Thank you guys so much for watching. If you enjoyed this video, give it a thumbs up, share this video with all your friends and family subscribe. If you haven't - and I will see you guys in the next video bye guys,

BlowAKissMakeup: Just wondering if a portion of one of your episodes could include information regarding the way companies code their wig colors. Sometimes I’m thrown off by what the letters that come before the numbers are indicating (ie. OM, PB, ST, GX, FS, DXR etc.). In one of your videos you mentioned that the PB in front of the color description meant “peekaboo“. And my assumption is that OM means “ombre”. But do you know what some of the other letters mean? Also, is it consistent across the companies? I ask this because on Sam’s Beauty (for example), it will show a general sample of a color but that sample isn’t showing the true way the coloring is distributed on the wig (I hope that makes sense) Lol!!!

Amanda: I'm a new subscriber and I love your videos! In this video you mentioned that you wear a bonnet under you wig cap. I just started wearing wigs about two weeks ago and I find the wig cap to be a little itchy and uncomfortable and thought that wearing a bonnet might help, so I'm glad you mentioned that because I thought I was being extra lol. What type of bonnet do you use under your wig cap?
