Platinum Gray Highlighted Side Part Wig Install + How To Cut Long Layers | Alipearl Hair

Hey y'all welcome back to my channel, so today i'm going to be doing a super freaking, cute gray and black color highlight ish wig install and i'm actually not doing a vlog cat method. Today i normally do do them, but i just feel like it ball. Caps are not necessary and i really just did not feel like doing one, so instead, i'm just taking a little bit of makeup. This is maybelline fit me in the shade, coconut and i'm putting this along the edges of the wig cap. I wouldn't use a brown wig cap, but i don't have any so i just had to make what do make it do what it do. So this is the wig y'all. It is so freaking pretty. I have never tried a wig this color before so i was so freaking excited to try this wig out. So i did bleach the knots on this wig and i also plucked the wig just a little bit. This wig came pre-plucked, so i didn't really have to do too much plucking, but today i'm going to be installing my wig with my olive oil, wig group, gel y'all, know the routine and a popsicle stick. You feel me and i'm just placing this along my hairline. More so on my skin than on my hair, you really want to focus on your skin rather than your hair. So you don't pull your edges out well, i don't think this will pull your edges out anyways, but just to make sure i really just focus this more so on my skin and i just blow dry this on a warm setting until it gets kind of sticky And then i place the lace into the gel, and i take this comb to kind of backcomb the hair and make sure that the lace is really light into the gel after i do that, i'm just blow drying it on a cool setting. I like to do a cool setting, because this just helps so that the gel doesn't turn white once it's done dry and then i just go ahead and go to the other side. A lot of y'all be asking me. Would i ever try a glue like an actual lazy glue and honestly y'all? I don't know, like i'm kind of i'm so scared to try glue. I just keep hearing so much negative stuff. Every time i be like, oh i'm about to try glue, i'm about to try glue somebody somewhere on tick, tock, instagram youtube. Somebody end up giving me a reason not to so i don't know. Maybe i'll try one day, but whenever i do y'all gon na be the first ones to know. Obviously so after i've laid the lace, i'm just going to cut these slits into the lace to make cutting off the lace a lot easier. Because i like to cut off in sections - and i am going to be cutting my lace off with an eyebrow razor love. Using eyebrow razors to cut my lace off, you can find these at the beauty supply store, i believe, they'd be like 99 cents. Some of you can even find them for, like 50 cents, so really inexpensive and perfect to cut your lace off with one thing i noticed about this lace. Was it's not a hd lace? I actually prefer hd lace, but this is more so transparent. Normally with my hd laces, i can just melt it without any makeup, but i end up having to use a little bit of makeup on this lace because it was kind of too like white on my skin, but that's cool because girl is still in it. Up. Melting so, and then i'm just pulling out some baby hairs. The baby hairs that i did on this style was a little bit different than the ones i normally do. I be seeing tay. Do these baby hairs um on wigs whenever he do, he does a side. Part, so i was kind of trying to mimic it today and i think i did really good y'all don't see, but i'm just pulling the baby hairs out on both sides. Then i pull my hair out of the way, because i am about to tie this wig down. So i'm going to use my olive oil super hold, fixes spray and i'm just going to spray this along the hairline, and this just melts everything and just sets the lace in place y'all. I love these olive oil products. I haven't had not one problem using them. The lace doesn't really turn white, it does sometimes, but if it turns white, i just spray a little bit more of the spray and then just tie it down again. The whiteness just goes away, but i haven't had any problems with this. My hair, my edges, don't be coming out. None of that. So i really love these products. So now i'm about to flatten my wig y'all know i love a flat freaking wig and this is a she is bomb wet. Stick. I found this from the beauty. Supply store for around ten dollars - and i just put this all over the top of the wig not too much, though, because i don't want it to be greasy, and then i just take my andes, hot comb. This hot comb is the go okay, i only it was only like twenty dollars at walmart and it gets super hot and it gets your wig. So freaking flat y'all go get a hot comb today, if you don't have one so now, i'm just combing out my baby hairs just a little bit and then i'm going to take my eyebrow razor and cut my baby hairs as sort of like a slanted angle And then i take some emotion smooth. This is my favorite moves when laying my baby hairs and i put a little bit on this edge comb and i'm just laying my baby hairs. Like i said, i did my baby hairs a little bit different than i normally do. I don't really know how to explain it, but this is how erik and taby doing them and i'm so obsessed. I think that when i do a side part, i'm definitely going to start doing my baby hairs like this every single time, because these baby hairs was just a fire but they're so cute and very minimal, and not too much and it's just like a more sleek. Look so i really love that, and then i take this pencil flat iron for my sideburns and spray a little bit of that super hole spray and that's what i'm going to lay the sideburns with away so like i said this lace was a little bit white Because it's more of like a transparent lace instead of hd, so i'm taking a little bit just a small amount of makeup. This is maybelline fit me in the shade coconut and this little like fluffy brush and i'm just kind of pouncing it on the lace. A little bit so that it blends better with my skin tone, y'all see how easy like that just melted like i don't even have to do too much, but it literally just melted into place so to straighten my part out. I'M taking some la girl pro concealer in the shade fun and this slinted angle brush, and i'm just applying this to the part just to get the part super straight and clean. So to do my layers, let me remind you also that i'm not a professional okay. I didn't go to school for hair. None of that. So yeah do this at your own risk, so i'm just bringing the hair equally to the front and cutting the ends straight across on both sides. It was hard to do the other side on camera, so i did that off and then i'm taking this hair cutting comb and i'm kind of just cutting it. Like an angle, i don't know how to explain it, but i'm kind of just going at an angle. All the way down and cutting - i don't know like i'm just free balling, i'm free handing me you just got to go at an angle until you get it to how you want it to look so i kind of wanted the shape to be like in the Shape of a v, so that's like the look that i'm going for and then i'm taking my flat iron and i'm just like bumping the ends a little bit and curling them over. Look at that y'all, it's so freaking cute! Oh my gosh! I love layers and hair. I think that it just brings a lot of life to the hair. I was just obsessed - and i'm just doing this on this side and i'm going to go ahead and do the other side as well. Oh [ Applause, ], okay y'all. I know i say this every video it's routine by now, but when i say that this is definitely top five like this is top five one of my favorite hands down one of my favorites that i've ever done on myself, i'm just so obsessed with this color. I never thought that i would be rocking gray, hair y'all, but it's giving like giving grandma in her 40s. Like i don't know it's just so pretty.
