Customizing My Own American Girl Doll! (Eye & Wig Swap)

Hey guys, it's her and today I'm going to be customizing this stall right here, but the reason there's two doll series, because I'm going to be trying to I swap them. The reason I say trying is because not how to percent sure if it's gon na work, because this is my first time well, it's my second time i swapping the first time it took me like a whole day, so i'm hoping this time will go smoother. I have a number 42 here that I got from Toys R Us because she was on sale for $ 65, and I have this doll that I got in a lot of dolls to fix up and she has amber eyes. Amber eyes - are a little bit lighter. As compared to the brown eyes, as you can see, so I'm going to be taking the head off of both of them so that I can put water in their head and so that they can be a swamped. So I'm just going to take off one head on camera, so you can just get to gist. I'M gon na be using tweezers and, as you can see, there's a knot right here, so I'm just taking my tweezers and just trying to get the knot untied but carefully. Because if you use like too sharp of the sides of the tweezers, it will start to fray and strings which you don't really want. So there we go that and now we just pop her head off and there it is okay. So I just threw both of the hair up just so that it's easier so now they're, both without a body and so now I'm going to probably do her first and I'm going to fill her head with really hot water so that her head gets squishy. Alright. So I wrapped the head in a towel just said that none nothing else in her gets too wet and avital under it, because it could get a little messy, and here I have almost boiling water. So I'm going to pour this into her head until almost the top, because this is going to warm up her face and make it nice and squishy. So it's easier to pitch the eyes up. So I'm going to let this sit for like probably two minutes and then I will get back to you guys. Okay, so it's only been like a minute, but it's already really squishy, as you can see, so I'm going to empty the water back into the thing. So that I can just pour that all right back into the pot of boiling water, if I can use it saving water, okay, so there it is, I see very squishy so bring in with a wooden spoon. How close it is. So I got the first eye out here. It is. The head is still a little bit pliable, so I feel like I'm just going to try go in I'm gon na turn the camera off. So I can do it really quick, quick update. I have to reheat the head because it got a little bit too hard, so I'm still working on the second, I not losing face yeah, because I got the first one out, but this is going to be a long dream guys. I got the second eye out and only took me like 20 seconds. This is things are looking up things. No pun intended. Oh no! I'M going to eat up the other dog's head so that I can. I swap her and yeah so here back hi guys. So I got one of the amber eyes out and I'm reading your head again, but I just want to take this chance to show you the real difference between brown and the amber eyes, and you can see this is a lot more green than this one, which Is just kind of a flat Brown but yeah? That'S all I want to do also. My hands are really shaky right now, if there's everything's okay, so we had a little bit of a mishap with one of the amber eyes, but it turned out. Ok because I fixed the problem. Basically, what happened was the back of one of them was indented a little bit, so the eye was an opening closing correctly, but it's okay so fixed it. Now it's time to try and get the eyes back in this dog's head is fully hardened because it's been like 40 minutes since I last he did her. So we're just gon na do this again and I got some more water ready right here and we're gon na pour that in and I'm going to put him be putting the amber ice in here. Obviously cuz. She had the brown eyes at first, so also another tip is to cover the doll's head after you put the water in because I know would like trap to the heat a little bit from coming out. So there we go. Okay, don't mean to jinx myself, but this may not go as well as getting the eyes out, because this could be a little bit harder because, as you can see, it's a lot okay, so I'm just trying to push the eye in this is really I'm nervous About this, so basically what I'm doing is taking like the bottom part of it, I'm trying to go in it. What a thing I'm gon na do is pour some water into the actual eye, sockets cuz. It could have make them a little bit more pliable. For me, because I really need this, I'm struggling but, like I said before, this is only like my second time. Actually, I swap the adult and the first time they had to have my parents, health, and it took me a really long time. So, okay, here we go part two there's still a little bit left. I just want to make sure that's all out because got ta make sure we're doing this right, probably going to have not been doing right just kidding. I think I'm okay, I'm just like nervously talking now I am going to get this. I am very determined not very hopeful, but kind of squeeze the side of the head a little bit while you're doing it so that it doesn't collapse much so I'm gon na try that my sons literally hurt so bad. Oh, my gosh, okay, I'm in a lot of pain right now, so I'm gon na take a little break. Maybe my mom can track guys and since I just got one in okay, sorry I probably sounds so lame. But this is like a big deal to me. Okay, so I also have this manager net kit from the dollar store and I'm just going to be taking this tool and moving the eye around. So it looks better than just a silver part, so we're just gon na move, it she's a little crooked okay! Well, you can't see it that well I'll show you after done, I'm gon na do the other way all right. So it's been like a minute, maybe and cut this in, and I don't know if this is gon na work, because it's really the wrong way. So I might have to take it out. Oh wait guys. I did it. Oh my gosh, okay and literally so excited I don't that's right! Okay, so there she is. You can't even really tell on camera that there's a big difference, because this ayah is a little bit wonky. You might have to oh wait, never mind just cuz she's like this. Okay, there we go boom. Oh anyways, I'm going to be giving you this doll, a new wig and me putting this like on the other doll, so it's also a wig swap, but not really swap because I'm not putting that without you noticing. So I got this big wig from exquisite doll. Designs and I'm just going to try to open it with tweezers, because that's how I roll here it is Wow. Okay, okay, with this unicorn coop, I think they're marshmallows, maybe so that is very cute. Then we got a little business card this instruction sheet. So, there's that now for the actual wig here's the wick I've got oh my gosh. It is so pretty look at that, so it's kind of like an ombre or balayage movie. Think it's a balayage bit more. So that's the we're going to be putting on here. Alright, so as always, I'm going to go in with a spoon to try and remove the wig and I'm gon na be very careful, because I am going to be putting this wig on another doll. Like I said before, so here we go. Oh also, I might put some non acetone nail polish remover on here, because this is a newer doll, so I'm just gon na do some process off-camera cause if you've ever watched from my fixing videos. You know I just every single time. So unless I'm not look sloppy, but you know what I mean: okay, alright guys, so I've gotten the wig off as you can see - and here is the wig still in perfect condition for the other dog. I'M going to be putting this lovely wig on her and I'm going to be using some tacky glue and I have a paintbrush ready, so I can just paint it right on so here we go alright guys. So now it is time to put the wig on, though I don't think I got any of that on camera didn't go smoothly as it could have, but I mean she's on there. She'S got a little glue on her face, but I can clean him up real quick, so I'm gon na let this dry a little bit, so it doesn't get like moved around at all, alright guys, so I'm gon na be doing some makeup on her. I'M going to fill in her eyebrows a tiny bit, but I do like the shape to them. So I'm not gon na change it too much and I might do some eyeliner, but that's pretty much it because I think she looks really pretty the way she is. But I just wanted to enhance her features a little bit, so I'm going to be just using my acrylic paints as normal and probably using a toothpick to do the eyebrows cuz. It'S very precise,
